Feeling bold and adventurous I purchased a comic I knew nothing about. Within the first few pages, I was captivated by the ominous introduction. The opening page takes place in a grim forest set in the late 1800s.  We hear a woman’s cries for help and see her trapped in a tree. Who are your typical small town suburban family. Our protagonist Sailor is your ordinary high school girl trying to face the survive the challenges of adolescence. Dealing with fear, insecurity, and the daunting task of starting new school is stressful enough. However, she will be confronted with obstacles that only a few have encountered and survived. Trying to heal old wounds from and trying to comprehend recent events will not be easy. There are malevolent forces at work and Sailor is surrounded by danger from many directions. The relationship between Sailor and her family is well established and the reader can definitely bond with these characters on an emotional level. As we learn more about these people will learn more about their thought process and motivation which as more depth to them overall. The artwork is beautiful and can really set the mood if one is reading this on a chilly autumn day.\nThere are also other elements of the story that can be expanded out into a whole universe. Many more stories connected the events of Wytches are just waiting to be discovered. Luckily there are hints of a potential sequel on the horizon, and if it does come to fruition I believe the books will sell very well.       "body": "In the world of comic books, heroes are gifted with extraordinary abilities so incredible that some would describe them as modern-day gods. However, the life of a hero is not always as glamorous as it appears. In addition to risking everything you cherish, there are critics calling for your regulation or resignation. Now some of these cries of outrage are caused by bigotry and fear, but some of them can be justified.  Many different comic franchises have shown us that these heroes are strong, but far from perfect, each of them has their own issues and character flaws.\n\n![754223._SX540_.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmW8oXTWn7hrVjwB7kjCtT3Qk8fgp1zgCx5V3LoGTHzzmP/754223._SX540_.png)\n\nBatman aka Bruce Wayne has become one of the most recognizable comic heros, and it is easy to see why some many comic book fans choose him as their hero of choice. When you take away the military-grade equipment, years of martial arts training, and the vast amount of wealth he is just an average man with no real superpowers. However, he sets that all aside and stands up for the weak even when faced with insurmountable adversity. Even with his intentions being in the right place he still resorts to methods that are out of character.\nWhat we see In Batman Venom is how Batman came across an unknown drug that will evolve to the notorious Venom. The story opens with Batman trying to save a little girl however he does not have the strength to save her. Haunted by his failure Batman becomes determined to never let something like this happen again.\n![s.PNG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmey8HVkrCATUbRuqfg2XLE4wcSn1dKh16bcyMsBJZFTVx/s.PNG)\n\nUpon learning that the kidnappers of the little girl were after an experimental drug from the girl’s father.  This drug increases strength to the most extreme levels. Batman blindly takes these pills and is thrilled with the results. What he does not realize is the factors at play planning on using Batman for their agenda. Soon Batman becomes addicted to these pills and he begins to lose touch who he truly is. It touches on real life issues and how our choices have consequences. We definitely see Batman mature a lot in this story and after reading it I definitely feel that I have connected with the Batman character on a real human level.",
