| memo | By spending just 5-10 minutes of your time to answer an ONLINE SURVEY, you'll receive $1 worth of HIVE or STEEM (4.762 STEEM or 3.125 HIVE) as a token of our appreciation!!! Hello there! I'm Sichen DONG, a research postgraduate student at the University of Hong Kong. I'm currently organizing a paid survey as part of my research study. We kindly invite Steem/Hive members to participate in a survey that focuses on the social changes you've observed since the takeover of Steemit, Inc. by Tron on February 14, 2020. We're delving into the intriguing realm of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and exploring the impact of social norms on cooperation within these communities. Please note that the survey is conducted in English. Rest assured, your participation involves no more risk than your everyday activities. You retain the freedom to withdraw from the study at any point. Your support is invaluable to our research, and we're eagerly looking forward to your participation! Ready to dive in? In fact, it may be a lot easier than you think! Every month you see a new YouTuber posting a video about “The Best Savings Account for 2020” or “The Best Online Savings Account Available This Month”. Well there’s a site that will keep up to date with not only the best savings accounts, but online savings accounts with no minimum deposits, and the best high interest savings accounts too. This ranks all of the current top savings accounts and ranks them based on compounding interest frequency, interest rate, lack of fees, and minimum deposit. This website is Bankrate.com. I have no affiliation with Bankrate whatsoever, but discovered them over a decade ago when I first became a financial planner. It should be your first stop when shopping for the best savings accounts, checking accounts, car loans, mortgages, and even insurance! They’re unbiased and you can frequently find large banks as well as small banks on the site. They deal in all things financial and make a financial planner’s life a lot easier. Now, if you’re looking for a car loan or something like that, I’d go to bankrate for competitive rates but I probably would go with a credit union, some place you can sit down and look the underwriter in the eye and get a better deal for being a member. But if you’re looking for a high yield interest savings account, bankrate is the place! Now in the video I go over some things to look for in a savings account. These things are: - Size of the bank. I prefer to always go with big banks. The reason? Longevity and deep pockets. Yes, I know it’s still possible for a big bank to fail, we can look at Bank of America from 2009; but where are all those small banks now? Exactly. No one is safe in a recession, but small banks can fail even in flourishing times. And yes, your money is insured, but I personally don’t know the process to retrieving that money should the bank fail, and it’s insured up to a certain amount. Anything over that is lost. GOOD big banks in my experience are usually very competitive with the smaller ones though, and if you’re using Bankrate.com, it shouldn’t be too hard to find a top tier bank to open up a savings account with. - The next thing I look at is minimum deposit. You want to find an online savings account with no minimum deposit, or at least one with a very low one. There’s no real reason to put more than $100 in 2020. Most of them only require a dollar, or some may say you need $100 to open the account but the amount you need to maintain to actually get the advertised APY interest rate is only a dollar or something low like that. So be sure to check for minimum deposit amounts as well as the minimum amount you need to maintain. - Another thing you want to look for when searching for the best savings account are monthly maintenance fees. You want them to be zero, period. I don’t care how big the bank is, what interest rate they’re offering, you want it to be NOTHING. Here’s the thing, if they’re even charging you $5 per month, unless you have AT LEAST 10 thousand dollars in there, the monthly maintenance fees will eat your interest right up! So zero fees. - The next thing is hidden fees. Some of these accounts have an early termination fee for example, or even a dormant account fee. The early termination fee for HSBC as an example states that if you close the account out before 6 months you owe $25. While that’s not a lot it’s still more than you want to pay. They might be offering the best high interest savings accounts right now, but there is a small catch to that. You can still withdraw, you just can’t close the account so if you do need it closed, just withdraw the money first, leave $1 in there and then close it out after the 6th month. Dormant fees are fees that accrue when you stop using the account for 6 months, 12 months, etc. and the bank charges you a fee. - The last thing I’d recommend is having a checking account with the bank as well. Let’s say you need the money in a pinch from your savings and you have to transfer it out. Well if you need to transfer from one bank to another, it will take a day or so, but transferring to a checking within the same bank is usually instant giving you access to the funds immediately. They deal in all things financial and make a financial planner’s life a lot easier. \\n\\nNow, if you’re looking for a car loan or something like that, I’d go to bankrate for competitive rates but I probably would go with a credit union, some place you can sit down and look the underwriter in the eye and get a better deal for being a member. But if you’re looking for a high yield interest savings account, bankrate is the place!\\n\\nNow in the video I go over some things to look for in a savings account. These things are:\\n\\n-\\tSize of the bank. \\n\\nAnd yes, your money is insured, but I personally don’t know the process to retrieving that money should the bank fail, and it’s insured up to a certain amount. Anything over that is lost. \\n\\nGOOD big banks in my experience are usually very competitive with the smaller ones though, and if you’re using Bankrate.com, it shouldn’t be too hard to find a top tier bank to open up a savings account with.\\n\\n-\\tThe next thing I look at is minimum deposit. \\n\\n-\\tAnother thing you want to look for when searching for the best savings account are monthly maintenance fees. So zero fees.\\n\\n-\\tThe next thing is hidden fees. You can still withdraw, you just can’t close the account so if you do need it closed, just withdraw the money first, leave $1 in there and then close it out after the 6th month.\\n\\nDormant fees are fees that accrue when you stop using the account for 6 months, 12 months, etc. and the bank charges you a fee.\\n\\n-\\tThe last thing I’d recommend is having a checking account with the bank as well. Let’s say you need the money in a pinch from your savings and you have to transfer it out. Well if you need to transfer from one bank to another, it will take a day or so, but transferring to a checking within the same bank is usually instant giving you access to the funds immediately. \\n\\nYou can visit Bankrate today to find the best savings account and more for free! https://www.bankrate.com\\n\\n#bestsavingsaccount #bestonlinesavingsaccount #besthighinterestsavingsaccounts\\n\\nhttps://www.freepik.com/free-photos-v... | body |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fl0BNBL1eQ Finding the best web hosting platform can be difficult. I’ve used InMotion Hosting for over 10 years and a few months ago decided to try something else that would offer cheap hosting for wordpress sites. Pretty much all my websites now use wordpress since their themes and plugins are so vast. It makes putting together a website a 2 day job as opposed to a month long job doing everything from scratch. In this video, I go over 5 things you should look for when shopping for hosting services. These 5 things apply whether you’re building a site from scratch, or, looking for the best wordpress hosting to get the job done quicker. Here’s a list of the 5 things I look for when shopping for the best web hosting. - Speed. You never want your site to lag when loading as it’ll make people leave your site. This was one of my problems with InMotion, it became very slow when I began using it for wordpress hosting. Bluehost has the fastest wordpress hosting I’ve experienced thus far and I definitely recommend it over InMotion. - Uptime. Uptime is all about reliability. You want the fastest and most secure hosting you can find for the buck. Most big companies don’t struggle with uptime, but if you recall years ago, seeing those Error 404 or 504 messages you might understand why uptime is so important. As long as you’re going with a big company, uptime won’t be a problem. - Free SSL. Unfortunately all big companies don’t get this right. SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, and basically encrypts data that’s sent to and through the site. You need this if people will be using passwords or making purchases on your site. So in addition to getting the fastest hosting, you also want the most secure wordpress hosting you can find. Bluehost has been working awesome for me and I haven’t had to bother with any settings. Everything was 100% automatic. - Price. While it’s important for me to find cheap hosting for wordpress sites; all pricing tiers aren’t created equal. The best web hosting is going to have a conglomerate of features, and you want to find one that offers you the best bang for your buck. For example, InMotion hosting and Bluehost have 2 plans that cost about the same per month. InMotion being about $11 per month, and Bluehost being about $13 per month. Although pricing is similar, Bluehost offers a lot more for the money. One of the main things they offer over InMotion hosting is unlimited websites. This might not sound like a big deal now, but trust me, it is. What if you get good at building sites and you want to make hosting it part of your fee for a company? You’d need a lot more than 6 sites! Not only that, but you may find your brand expands and you need several variations of your website. For example, poopie.com vs poopie.co vs poopie.net, etc. Having unlimited websites is worth the extra 2 dollars alone. - The final thing for me when searching for the best web hosting is domain extensions. That sounds crazy but face it, all the good .coms are taken. We have to start branching out and using different enders like .co or even .store. You want to find cheap web hosting that offers value as well as an array of domain extensions. See the video for more on this. All in all, I’m loving Bluehost as it checks off all the things mentioned above. I also like how user-friendly it is even though I’m an advanced builder. | body | Years ago when we were pregnant with our daughter my wife developed gestational diabetes. It was weird because we were very health conscious (or so we thought). We exercised and had a balanced diet (ripe with meat and other animal products). Not to turn this into a vegan thing but the animal products were absolutely destroying our bodies and minds. It took us over 5 years to really be rid of all the excess sugars. We still use agave occasionally, but for the most part we're ADDED sugar-free. The main places you'll find added sugars are in drinks (the biggest things) and of course sweet pastries and candies. Eliminating sodas and juices and replacing them with water, and finding vegan, low to no added sugar snack alternatives can reverse gestational diabetes quickly. For us it was getting rid of the juice, and we're talking all natural, fresh squeezed orange juice! Anyway, just posting to see if anyone else here has had similar issues. We've created a course to help mom's reverse this disease during their pregnancy in as little as 1 week. You can learn more about our journey and pick up the course here: https://gestationaldiabetes.online |
