Our society grows more and more self-absorbed as time marches towards Jesus’ return. We see it in the abundance of self-centered photos and posts across social media. We can also see it in how people demand that others bend to their will or their ideology. For the sake of the minority’s comfort, the masses are ordered to change their way of speaking or behaving. Entitlement plagues our societies as people strive to constantly be in the spotlight. However, the spotlight only shines on a small area while most of the important work is done in the background. Society may say that we need to be acknowledged for all that we do, but God’s word still declares that the humble and the meek will be given greater honor while the proud are humbled in their self-absorption.\n\nOne of my favorite women in the Bible is Dorcas Her story is found in Acts 9:36-43. When this woman died, she was mourned by the entire community. So, what grand job or act did this simple woman do to deserve such love and devotion? Verse 36 says, “In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which, when translated, is Dorcas), who was always doing good and helping the poor.” When Peter visited her, the crowd of people mourning for this woman who had made them clothes and shown them kindness was so thick he had to kick them all out just to get in. She was not a superstar. She did not demand that people revere her. She did not shout out all the good things she had done, and yet she was honored, loved, and mourned. Humble acts of kindness, grace, mercy, and love shout louder than any selfie, tweet, or Instagram photo. Remember Proverbs 27:2 “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; someone else, and not your own lips.” So, whether you are a street sweeper or a movie star, do your job well and your work will be noticed by your Father in Heaven.",

He ran into a building and a few minutes later, two other scary looking young men appeared.\n\nThey were the ones pursuing him and they asked if someone ran past me.\n\nI understood the situation immediately and I answered in the negative.\n\nI might have told a lie but I like to think that I preserved a life at that moment.\n\nBut in as much as I believe that some times, it is necessary to lie, I think truths are very important even when they willl hurt.\n\nSadly, most truths don't always seem like it until after a long time but I love honesty.\n\nWhen it comes to me, I love it when people tell me the truth and damn all the consequences.\n\nI might not be this way to another unless I understand they are that kind of person too.\n\nFor some people, I would rather not volunteer my honesty unless I am in a situation that requires me to. Although this has led me to some mistakes.\n\nAnd for some others, I would say the truth - all of it. This has also caused me more mistakes and pains but for most, I never regretted taking it all out.\n\nI think there are more people who appreciate the truth than there are not. If you faint in the day of trials, temptation and adversity, the Bible says your faith is weak. \n\nJames says in chapter 1 vs 2, 'count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations', verse 2 calls this challenges, the trying, the test of your faith which will work out patience in you. \n\nFellow Believers, God does not tempt a man, but could allow it to build you up, to \nbring you to that place of maturity in your faith in God. If you don't welcome temptation when it comes, you could as well remain in that same position for a very long time. The end one success temptation in life leads to a life changing breakthrough. \n\nExample are seen in scriptures, Job was an example, he was tested  and tried but was steadfast, his final end was glorious. Go ahead, turn up the music and dance through your chores. No one's watching and time will fly by much faster.\n\n**Sharing Responsibilities with My Spouse**\nNot every household has two parents, but if you and your partner are parenting in the same house, now’s the time for sharing the domestic load. Take turns watching the kids solo so you each have a chance to relax. It is always fun if he is willing to help.\n\n**Dealing with Stress**\nAfter the stressful day taking care of the house, there is need as a mother to de-stress and prepare for the day ahead. As a mother, making sure my kids go to bed is a better way to deal stress as that end the stress for the day. Enough sleep is needed to help deal with stress as well.
