Un nome che nella mia collezione s'è ritagliato una corsia preferenziale, con tre chitarre dedicate.\n\nL'importanza di questo modello nel mondo delle chitarre elettriche, del resto, è fuori discussione: la Telecaster, classe 1951, è il primo modello di chitarra elettrica commercializzato da Leo Fender, che ne decreta la fortuna e consacra l'azienda a icona nascente delle chitarre elettriche a corpo solido. Inizialmente commercializzata a nome \"Broadcaster\", Leo Fender si vedrà costretto nel giro di qualche mese a cambiare nome commerciale per via di una causa intrapresa dall'azienda Gretsch, che utilizzava lo stesso nome per una linea di batterie di propria produzione.\n\nEppure, nel modello che affronteremo in video, abbiamo a che fare con specifiche molto diverse da quelle del modello originario. Dobbiamo infatti spostarci di circa vent'anni, finendo nel 1972: parte da qui il percorso della Telecaster Custom e la sua variante Deluxe, due configurazioni audaci con cui combattere l'eterna rivale Gibson nel suo tipico suono \"Fat\", caldo e corposo. Una scelta, quindi, che per chi mette per la prima volta le mani su una Telecaster andrebbe ben ponderata per via delle nette differenze col modello standard.\n\nFender decide così di prendere a prestito un certo concetto di suono – peraltro agli antipodi del tipico sound Fender, acuto e cristallino – producendo un nuovo tipo di pickup molto familiare a Gibson, ovvero l'Humbucker. Un pickup composto da una bobina doppia anzichè singola, nato dall'iniziale necessità di eliminare le interferenze e i ronzii che affliggevano le chitarre semiacustiche. Un suono che poi è diventato marchio di fabbrica di casa Gibson anche nelle soldi body, e comune alla maggior parte dei modelli del marchio. Con Telecaster Custom (Humbucker superiore) e Telecaster Deluxe (Doppio Humbucker), Fender risponde così all'aggressiva concorrenza di Gibson, prendendo a prestito quel determinato tipo di suono per accaparrarsi una fetta di utenza \"Gibsoniana\".\n\nNel video a seguire vediamo come si comporta una simile configurazione confronto all'impostazione classica di una Telecaster.       "body": "Arriviamo a inizio 2009, anno in cui inizio a farmi prendere la mano e passo alla mia seconda chitarra: una Eko Cobra \"reissue\", riedizione di uno dei best-seller Italiani di un' azienda, la marchigiana Eko, che negli anni '60 rappresentò fiore all'occhiello di una rigogliosa industria musicale, tutta Italiana.\n\nE' ignoto a molti, infatti, il ruolo centrale che l'Italia ebbe nell'industria musicale di quegli anni. L'epicentro avviene nelle Marche, regione-culla di una numerosa serie di piccole o medie realtà artigianali che, reduci dal mondo delle chitarre classiche o delle fisarmoniche, calvacheranno con entusiasmo e originalità le nuove, grandi opportunità date dagli strumenti elettrici, prepotentemente entrati nella scena musicale: chitarre e bassi in primis, ma anche organi elettrici e alcuni audaci sintetizzatori negli anni successivi.\n\nNumerosi i nomi di quegli anni: Crucianelli, Meazzi, Steelphon, Melody, Zerosette...E, prima su tutte, la Eko di Recanati, azienda fondata nel 1960 da Oliviero Pigin e consacratasi nel giro di circa cinque anni come il più grande produttore ed esportatore europeo di strumenti musicali.\n\nE' il decennio del Rock 'n' Roll, che in tempi più distesi conquista anche in Italia un' importante fetta di pubblico giovanile con la cosiddetta scena Beat, nata dall'entusiasmo di tanti ragazzi emuli dei successi d'importazione di Beatles, Rolling Stones, Who. Spesso partendo da delle cover tradotte in Italiano di successi d'oltremanica: sono infatti gli anni di \"Tutta mia la città\", \"Una ragazza in due\" dei Giganti o di \"Senza Luce\" dei Dik Dik, trasposizioni in Italiano di gruppi da Hit Parade Anglo-Americane di cui si potrebbero fare decine di esempi!\n\nDa qui l'esplosione di domanda nel mercato degli strumenti musicali e delle chitarre in particolare, che determinerà uno dei picchi di creatività dell'industria liuteristica: forme e colori di ogni genere, facendo incetta di glitter e passando per avveniristiche soluzioni elettroniche a suon di selettori, potenziometri, effetti integrati. Un' esplosione che non passa inosservata nel resto del continente, permettendo alla Eko di avviare un'ingente esportazione e di stringere un' importante collaborazione con Vox, mostro sacro inglese di chitarre, organi e amplificatori.\n\nNel 1967, pochi mesi prima dell'espolosione della Summer Of Love, un duro colpo affligge la Eko: Oliviero Pigini muore improvvisamente, nei suoi 45 anni, stroncato da un infarto. Non farà in tempo a veder conclusi i lavori di costruzione di una nuova sede dell'azienda in piena espansione, nella vicina Montecassiano.\n\nLa parabola discendente inizia con l'aprirsi del decennio successivo, caratterizzato da una nascente industria asiatica di repliche dei modelli americani che, a prezzi molto aggressivi, sposta progressivamente l'interesse dei consumatori. Un trend su cui anche la Eko dirà la sua, con alcune copie di noti modelli americani (Les Paul, SG, Stratocaster, Telecaster), rinunciando a parte della propria identità.\n\nNella fine degli anni '70 un ultimo, sofferto cambio di rotta:  la Eko prova a rinnovare il proprio ruolo nel mercato inaugurando una serie di strumenti di qualità superiore, arrivando però con circa cinque anni di ritardo su una scena, quella del Rock Progressivo, caratterizzata non più da \"strimpellatori\" ma da musicisti colti, esigenti e di cui beffardamente il nostro paese fu un incredibile, irripetuto polo di interesse mondiale.\n\nChe cos'è oggi la Eko? Dopo la chiusura avvenuta nel 1985, la Eko viene rilanciata dal fratello di Oliviero Pigini, Lamberto, che rilancia l'identità del marchio in qualità di importante distributore Italiano di strumenti stranieri; a distribuzione Eko sono, tutt'oggi, marchi del calibro di  Marshall, Sony, Korg, Martin, Paul Reed Smith. Un ruolo, quello di distributore, che permetterà alla Eko di ripristinare anche una propria produzione, che a inizio millennio renderà tributo anche ad alcuni modelli storici che decretarono le sue più grandi fortune.\n\nEcco quindi qui la mia Eko Cobra, classe 2009: un' economica e sincera riedizione di un modello di quella che verrà ricordata come la più grande fabbrica d'europa di chitarre.
