A simple evidence of this is on the GitHub, where Elastos has three different repositories for each; Elastos.OS, Elastos.RT and Elastos.NET.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Elastos Operating System</strong></p>\n<p>Like windows, IOS, Andriod etc its general purpose and made to support Elastos DAPPS and connect easily to Elastos internet protocol, it will run on naked devices like IoT devices, Raspberry pi, and mobile devices. From history, Elastos started some 18 years ago with its first campaign in 2003 to develop a smartphone from scratch and the second campaign was in 2012 to develop an OS for industrial IoT devices and mobile devices.Therefore is the master-plan of the Elastos team to power devices with its OS mobile and IoT devices.It will use the same application interfaces as Android( this will make it easier for developers to adopt) and will go as far as powering android apps directly.</p>\n<p><strong>Elastos Internet</strong></p>\n<p>It is powering its own internet through the block-chain, to prevent hacking, copyright contents by digitizing contents, digitizing assets, prevent content tampering/theft such as phishing, Malware, and virus prevention. A case is made why the internet is not so secured therefore reason why automated economy hasn’t arrived yet, in the age where we preparing for the arrival of Artificial Intelligence it is imperative to consider why hasn’t any attempt made to make the internet fully automated in essence provide the automated economy, one reason is because of the problems presented above malware and virus being the biggest issues. Think of it as internet with Blockchain as the backbone</p>\n<p><strong>Elastos Runtime Environment</strong></p>\n<p>This enables Elastos on other operating systems like Andriod, IOS, windows Etc, not to limit the operation of Elastos DAPPs just to run Elastos, meaning you don’t need to run Elastos to use the Elastos DAPPs with the runtime environment Elastos DAPPs can be powered from any other operating system.This will enable fast adoption by developers.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><strong>Differentiation with other Blockchain Projects</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;With over 5000 different blockchain projects in the market and ICOs springing up from every corner it is important to differentiate a project from others not just for uniqueness and comparison, but also to understand its affinity in the market and how sustainable it is. Asides from Blockstack which has the same USP as Elastos Internet, and also there is BAT which is more a browser that protects browsers cache / data and digitizes it like Elastos internet and Blockstack, But I see no other project that is proposing an Operating system blockchain or runtime environment for IoT devices or mobile devices, so Elastos is different and unique if all this is combined. Elastos compares itself to bitcoin and Ethereum.</p>\n<p>Bitcoin: A trustworthy Ledger</p>\n<p>Ethereum: A Trustworthy Ledger + Smart Contracts&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Elastos: A Trustworthy Ledger + Smart Contracts + Monetized dapps and Digital Assets.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Here we understand that Elastos takes it further to personalize assets on the blockchain from the whitepaper &nbsp;“ Current blockchain technology allows for the recording of property rights. But while users can prove that digital books belong to them, they can’t necessarily prevent people from stealing or reading these books without permission. In such an environment, it is very difficult to monetize digital assets. Elastos aims to solve this problem by creating an environment in which the execution of a digital asset (i.e., the viewing, buying or selling of a digital movie) all take place on the Elastos Smart Web, and therefore abide by the rules of smart contracts”.Elastos will provide storage for contents which is lacking in the current block chain system. In general, Elastos encompassingly has a USP that hasn’t been proposed yet by any other project thus far.</p>\n<p><strong>Token</strong></p>\n<p>Elastos token is called Ela, a total of 33 million would be created the smallest unit of ELA is Satoshi ELA (SELA) is respect to Satoshi, 1 ELA is equal to 1000000000 Sela.</p>\n<p>Just like Bitcoin, the total ELA that will ever be created is 33Million and the total ELA in circulation will increase every year by 4 %, circulating supply shouldn’t be confused with the total supply.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Elastos will be merge mined with bitcoin, ELA will be produced every two minutes, ELA foundation will take 30% from the newly minted ELA while the miners take the remaining 70%</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Circulating Supply Estimation: For investors, it is important to know what the circulating supply will be for the year when it first hit exchanges.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The tokens allocated to Elastos foundation and angel investors shouldn’t be a cause for circulating supply anytime soon, and we know that the private sales (6 million ELA) and crowdsale (2 million ELA) accounts for the Private equity 24% of the total ELA. Therefore the major concern is in the Feedback bitcoin community allocation 16.5 Million ELAs are to be distributed.</p>\n<p>The Feedback Bitcoin Community ELA allocation: The purpose for this is for effective circulation, be rest assured that this is a good gesture, ‘co-opetition’ will help ELA get adoption faster, speedy exchanges market and use of the ELA token. According to the white paper, not every bitcoin holder will get the token, the channel for distribution is exchanges and the ELA has to be claimed then the ELA foundation has to approve whom the exchanges can distribute to. Total bitcoin stored in exchanges in the world is not more than 7 Million&nbsp;, this is taken note that people with 100btc or less account for only 7 million of the total BTC in circulation, and anyone with 100btc will find it pretty hard to store it in exchange not to talk of those with more than 100btc&nbsp;.Not to talk about misplaced wallets, forget wallets which are estimated to be about 4Million. So we can safely assume the total that will be distributed to the foundation is less than 7Million tokens.</p>\n<p>Therefore the estimate for circulating supply is&nbsp;</p>\n<p>6 million from private sales + 2 Million from crowd sales + 7 Million from community airdrop = 15 Million&nbsp;</p>\n<p>since it's 7 Million or less that would be distributed to the community we can assume the circulating supply would be between 11 million and 15 million.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The price of ELA would be 1BTC (assume BTC current price $17,000) = 800 ELA</p>\n<p>The price of 1 ELA is assumed to be 17,000/800 = $21.25</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>at this price, the market cap would be between 234 Million and 319 Million dollars.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><strong>Using A framework to define Elastos sustainability and Performance</strong></p>\n<p>Ethereum is similar to Elastos in that it has the trust ledger and smart contracts are launched with it, but contents can’t be stored with the Ethereum, Elastos is more than a register ledge and smart contract toolkit. but then due to its almost similarities, we can say that Elastos is likely to behave like Ethereum in the long wrong. Elastos uses bitcoin as the main chain for transactions and ELastos runtime or OS for the application running and building then it has auxiliary chains like NEO and Ethereum where applications can be launched via the Elastos OS/Runtime Environment, also Elastos OS is a general os that can be used on IoT and mobile devices, not like Ethereum VM that is just for smart contract building. Ethereum has scaling issues same with Bitcoin, having them as the main chain and auxiliary chain won’t &nbsp;affect Elastos as smart contracts and contents storage will be done on Elastos using the side-chain tech.</p>\n<p>Note that Elastos has been in the making for over 17 years and they just launched 10 million lines of codes in their GitHub and mainnet is already started, it launched on 23rd December 2017. Just like ETH whose mainnet lunched on July 30 and sold for $0.6 about 0.00214btc, ELA according to rumor would be sold at 1 BTC per 800 ELA which is about 0.00125 or $21.25 which is reasonable if you ask me ETH has about&nbsp;, Eth then had a circulating supply of about 6OMillion compared to ELA 15Million&nbsp;, why investors are particular about circulating supply is because of the economics behind demand and supply the more scarce a product is the higher the price becomes.</p>\n<p>It took Ethereum A year to have DOA, the first Dapp on ELA might take that amount time.</p>\n<p>It is found by Chen Rong for Microsoft senior software engineer, stated Elastos in 2000 from building a smartphone from scratch to building an OS for IOT devices to building a decentralized public chain.       "body": "In this piece , I will assume that NEO is bad investment and investors shouldn’t consider it as a reliable investment due to the present ICO ban in China. Last time China banned the crypto exchanges it took 4 months before the bans were lifted ,will it be same this time? How does this affect NEO? Is the tag “Ethereum of China” affecting the NEO price? Da Hongfei , founder of ONCHAIN and creator of NEO, formerly Antshares has clarified numerously why Ethereum of china doesn’t fit as tag for NEO, he claims NEO is a smart Economy and has digital identity ,amongst other features that vividly distinguishes NEO from Ethereum ,also NEO is a global platform not just for China , but should I believe him? Most investors bought because of the comparison with Ethereum and wish the price will appreciate as more ICOs are added onto the platform, but now that ICOs are banned in china , could this be a bad deal?\nI am just a regular investor and crpto enthusiast, I will love to know my actual position say in the next 3months because time run faster in digital assets trading sphere. I will try to separate the facts from assumptions or rumors.\nNeo , which is a rebrand of Antshares, gives a global appeal and it officially lunched as a blockchain platform for smart economy to the world, founded by Da Hongfei and Erik ZHang, whom are also the founders of onchain which is a private firm for blockchain solutions in china.NEO is a project of onchain, though these are two different entities, but they are more integrated. Onchain has a core called DNA , Digital Network Architecture , and NEO is an integral part of it.The DNA encompasses the whole blueprint of onchain projects ,and how shows how much NEO means to Onchain since they are interwoven together. Onchain has working projects with the Chinese local Government Guizhou;Onchain is working with Guizhou Far East Integrity Management company, to provide digital identity solutions through blockchain for the Guizhou locals in China , the Chinese govt. and Alibaba; onchain partnered with Ali cloud to provide emails that are signed digitally on the blockchain. Onchain is helping chinese busineses and parastatals adopt the blockchain technology, reason why the connection with the Chinese govt. is so rigid and why plenty feel NEO would finally be the official platform to launch any smart contracts in china, even though the founders have repeatedly debunked the idea, but there is little to no other platform that has launched mainnet for smart contracts in china, and NEO being the first blockchain platform in China and already working with parastatals and businesses in China is the perfect candidate.Onchain and NEO understand the blockchain technology , the government needs help to understand the technology and how best to utilize it , with the laid down partnerships and connections which Onchain has and being the creators of NEO, this will be a very good niche for NEO to leverage on. I don’t expect the founders to accept that they have govt. backing , it’s very unlikely , they will be shooting themselves in the foot if they did. I have pieced the puzzles together and confirm that NEO has a better chance to be the major platform to help businesses launch their blockchain and smart contracts in China.\nOn How optimist is the Chinese government towards Blockchain? if the government support of indigenous companies like Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, JD.COM etc is not prove enough that the government is more innovative than it is credited, though most of these companies have similar offshore counterparts , and the user bases are centered mostly in China they are worth more in valuation than their offshore counterparts, mostly because of the market size in China and the affinity of technology and innovative products. Just last year they proposed the 13th FIVE YEAR PLAN, and Blockchain is part of the plan, so just this alone is a proof than the government is ready to adopt blockchain and make it go mainstream.They understand the power of blockchain and they are ready to herness its full potential , but just in the right way.The ban of ICOs like the representative of government and da hongfei said was a necessary move by the government to protect its citizens from mass ponzi schemes in ICOs and provide a laid down rule they have to follow.With a population of over 2billion citizens it is important to control the virality of ICOs, and make sure it is organic for the community.\nAs explained by Jihan and Charlie lee, the bitcoin exchanges have no licenses for exchange , that they have been in business this long without license or major suspension or ban means the government means well for blockchain , we might see a license or regulation soon , the last time it took four months was because of the auditing of exchanges account to track down outflow of money.I bet this will take less.\nThere was a list in circulation in the media after the ICO ban , it had official government stamps, it was a list of suspected fraudulent ICOs or ICOs that were banned ,BNB was listed but NEO or onchain was never in the list , even though NEO has an open offer for any investor that wants to return NEO for BTC. In essence NEO is fullycompliant with regulation , which shows a good gestures being a law abiding company like the rest of china indigenous companies like ALIBABA, JD ,TENCENT etc which are still internationally respected, note that these Chinese indigenous companies are among the top 10 in market capitalization in the world. This might be NEO fate soon.The ban news from China has played a major role in plummeting the price of NEO to $13 that is 76% lost from its all time high of $56 .The news affects NEO in particular because not running an ICO makes NEO worthless, though this view is shallow and speaks less of NEO as a smart economy and the ingenuity of the NEO as a smart economy initiative.\nDa Hongfei , when asked if he thinks the ICO ban is temporary, he responded with a resounding “NO”, in the two interviews I watched he was asked this same question and he said NO the ICO ban isn’t temporary.Now ask yourself why didn’t he just say yes to make the price of NEO go up a little and please his investors , and my answer is , in the interview he subtly described what is going on. He said smart contracts can still run on NEO , but you can not do crowd funding in China, he said smart contracts initiators can raise money from nothing more than 200 individual investors in China, and can crowd fund outside of China. He also reiterated in this interviews that NEO is in compliance with regulation and has always been , and he dropped another hint that NEO has been in contact with government officials and regulators are in love NEO .The interviews are referenced for you watch .Also on reddit he said “How to regulate ICO is a hot topic in the Chinese blockchain industry and community. The head of Digital Currency Institute at PBOC (central bank) recently published an article on ICO regulations. He said the regulating authority should rather be the gatekeeper than scavenger. Pre-screening or licensing may huddle innovation, so the regulators should pay close attention to those ICOs but only step in when needed. We think this standpoint is well balanced between flexibility and legitimacy. If any ICO project looks like a Ponzi scheme or scam, we will warn the public and regulators may step in”,this statement was before the official ban .\nMy conclusion , after taking this from a negative point of view, is that NEO is a positive investment, the masterplan of NEO and Onchain are interwoven together, and they both have been in compliance with regulation from start, that China is still finding ways to regulated capital outflow , and the imminent China leadership change meant to happen on 18th of Oct,and different factions in government proposing different policies to regulate digital assets , might seem detrimental to the survival of NEO , though it is a good thing, in that China’s proposal of the five year master plan which has blockchain adoption as major milestone won’t let such an innovative idea like the blockchain die. History will bring us to the understanding of how true this is, China is a controlling state. Embargoes and restrictions can be placed on any state threatening entities , plenty will  understand that have had dealings with china.Foreign businesses are less favored, a state where  with clone of  foreign business is highly encouraged and empowered, instances goes from Ebay to Uber .The pervading nature of China market has been leveraged by the Chinese communist state, there is the population of 1.4 Billion people ,and strict  control of products which the people are exposed to by the Chinese govt. \n\n       An Argument for china being more an innovative state than they are assumed to be , as we know from history , China was the first state to adopt paper currency, but been a controlling state , the growth of research, and  innovations is limited, but they try to keep up to par by studying and cloning new techs and innovations to fit the governments master plan of control and limitations, this makes them lag behind in innovations in my opinion .Innovative Environment  needs freedom to foster growth , why Americans have embraced Greeks ruling style.\n\n      The Chinese government is doing a much harder work trying to bridge the gap with regulations and innovations which doesn't work so well with  limitations, The Chinese government can be said to want to be the \"master of everything\"   , like the saying goes \"Jack of all trades master of none\". They need to give a lot of freedom to the capitalist , technologist, businesses , community to express themselves freely , the state is becoming too big they can not control and scrutinize everything killing true competition and growth.\n\n    Currently there has been a ban on illegal token sales , popularly called ICO ,rumors that the government will be banning all bitcoin to CNY trades, some say a  ban to all crypto currency exchanges in general, with some News blogs describing it as \"Death to bitcoin\", \"End of Cryptocurencies\".My take of this is simple , after reading all the articles and listening to the stakeholders with \"Chinese insiders connections\" , is that China craves to control their crypto space , a state which  successfully curbed the out flow of CNY and  banned Bitcoin and crytocurrency exchanges a couple of times should know how resilient bitcoin is right? Of course they do, which is why I feel  people are blowing this out of proposition , China's trading volume used to be 90% as at December 2016 but after the January suspension of trading , bitcoin still rediscovered a new all time high without the Chinese market per say .\n\n     Bitcoin has won the battle with the Chinese government flawlessly and will still do ,the Chinese government knows, the blockchain in itself is a magnificent innovation that has come to stay and the Chinese government is taking it seriously;  They know it will survive without China;They know ,they will have to act fast to leverage on its advantages and control now before its too late;They know there are various means of purchasing digital assets even without the exchanges, so ban or not the Chinese government is trying to act fast to provide licenses and some kind of regulations to at least have a control of the crypto market in its space in china.\n\n      The best prediction and argument of why all these is happening that I will accept and I am betting my money on is that , china is making a Tether CNY , this makes a lot of sense if you follow the Chinese governments agenda thoroughly. There are speculations that the exchanges if they are allowed to operate will stop CNY- BTC trades , or digital asset trading  with fiat and encourage cryto trades that’s BTC-ETH between themselves , so if china makes a Tether say CNYT it can be traded as a cryptocurrency representative of CNY controlled by the Peoples Bank of China, now this makes a whole lot of sense in that way there is better management of the space in china and better control on CNY by the Chinese government which is the whole purpose of all the ban and restrictions in the first place.\n     So I conclude that , this is a good endeavor by the Chinese government , for taking the initiative to be the first to understand how to 'take control' of the crypto space to some extent and leverage on its potential as a fungible and resilient asset which is here to stay forever.  The Last FUD by the Chinese government took only 3 days till  the market to resettled and the bull run began, because of the series of bad news every week and the Chinese govt. not clarifying there stance now until that happens the market will be bearish.",
