      "body": "Morning,\nOn one of my trips to the world renowned Kruger National park in the Mpumalanga province in South Africa, I came across this very sad but interesting scene.\nIt was a mother elephant carrying her dead baby. The baby must have been dead a day or as it smelled already. The most interesting was that she was completely alone, as far as I could see, and making this deep awful growling sounds as if she was moaning or crying even. She would put down the baby and then walk around it a few times and then pick it up and then she will start making this noises again.\n\nSAD, SAD, SAD I tell you\nI cried all the way to our camping site. I don’t know how long she carried it until she would have realized it was dead.\n\nIt was heart breaking to see, but also very, very interesting.       "body": "Morning Steemers.\nMany years ago in the early 1800's and late 1800's there was a gold rush in Southern Africa. As more people discovered gold in streams and, some farmers actually plow through their fields and got some gold nuggets, more and more people come from all over the world buying claims and setting up mines to mine gold.\nSome became millionaires, some went bankrupt, some died due to Malaria, fever, wild animals etc. This revolution brought forth a new generation of people in Southern Africa. It was white settlers that came from Europe, USA etc. to became, or thought they will become rich. \n\nToday millions of white Africans still live in Africa due to their forefathers that came to Africa, either to mine or to trade goods, because of the immense amount of money that was made and spend in Africa.\nSame happen with diamonds. Still today South Africa is one of the largest diamond producing countries in the world.\n\nI cannot help myself to think that the digital currency is almost the same as in the 1800's. This is like a gold rush of a sort. Everybody in either buying or mining Bitcoin, Ether, Zcash, Dash etc. I myself is riding this wave. You would stupid not to.\n\nBut in my opinion.\nThe difference between this gold rush and the gold rush in the 1800's is that we do not steel from any continent, people or government any money.       "body": "Hi Steemers,\nMy name is Nierkas79. I stumbled across Steemit through Bitcoin search. I am from a small village in Africa and has never been introduced to cryptocurrencies. Mind you I have only heard of Bitcoin once in 2013 and my first thought was \"SCAM\". But I have learned my massive mistake and, like millions of other people are also telling them self now \"I wish I invested in Bitcoin in 2013\"\nAnyhow, I read through a lot of the Steemers post and I LOVE it. This is like food to my soul. As you can imagine there are not a lot going on in a small African village. So this type of excitement is blowing my mind.\nWhere in the world do you get paid for posting? This is insane. Now for someone like me earning money for posting on Steemit in US dollars as an African, it’s like being a millioner!\nNow this is where the fun will start for me. I am so looking forward to this journey.\nAfrica is a HOT, Dry, Unforgiving continent but, it’s the most fertile beautiful place to live in. The sunsets are like magic every day. colors burst over the African plains and mountains. Then as an early riser I see the most beautiful sunrises in the mornings.\nMy Passion is photography and I hope to share with you fellow Steemers my passion.
