I was intrigued by what this person was telling me that night about how an individual could anonymously go and buy things like drugs and sex and whatever illicit or illegal things I desired. He said that he worked in some government job and was too nervous about losing his job to ever venture onto the darkweb in search of these things which before that night, I had no idea were available online by any means. The thought stirred in my mind about what I had been told that night so a quick google search had brought me to a web browser labled simply: Tor. I reluctantly installed it on my machine not knowing exactly what I was in for but was as curious as a monkey in a children's book. After installing I quickly discovered that this was not as simple as typing in Google and letting the search engine do the work, but I needed to obtain special encrypted .onion links from various sources on the surface web before I could really see what this so-called \"onionland\" had to offer. After obtaining a somewhat decent list of links I started browsing the darkweb for the first time and getting a feel for everything like a tourist in a new country, with my main focus being the drug markets, as I was an avid user of a variety of different illegal substances at the time.
