I have two good friends in barry and stu who have stood by me no matter how i treat them. I have had multiple hospital visits, two where i have had my life saved by the wonderful professional doctors and nurses and have also spend numerous occassions in secure units. \nThere have been people who call me selfish, there is some who belief i should just snap out off it. My partner and family have been a great help and they have all come to know my little signs of when my walls are crumbling. \nBut there is one true inspiration that helps me through the bad times and that is my 6 year old angel. She is my miracle child doctors told me and my partner we would never have kids and eight years of trying and 1 failed IVF she came along.\nI carry her photo in my wallet with me always.\nWe do everything together, like quiet walks to park visits, playing lego and even playing music together. She plays drums and i guitar.\nThe best thing about our relationship is the endless cuddles and never ending times she tells me she loves me. \n\nDaddy loves you my angel.",

      "body": "14th of january 2018. That is when the 1st bomb fell. Ned could remember it so well. It was his 36th birthday. Due to his conspicious ways he had prepared for this day well in advance, 8 months in advance to be precise.\nHe had built his own fallout shelter. It had electricity powered by an petrol generator, its own water supply from an underwater tank. \nAnd He had stocked up with canned foods and bottles of his favorite fizzy. \"Pepsi\". \nHe had included some luxuries a tv, his xbox console and a collection of his favourite movies and music discs.\nThere were 2 rooms, one room around 10ft by 16ft which had a toilet in the corner which would pass the waste to an septic tank, and a small single bed for rest. The second room slightly bigger held the food stockage, a small basin and a desk pushed against the far wall setup with his tv and console. It also had an old 70s style retro clock hanging on the wall above the desk. \nThe walls were lined with lead to help stop radiation getting in and the only way out was a ladder to a hatch in the ceiling.\nNed spent the week prior to the 1st bomb testing out his living accomodation. No-one noticed his absence as he was a loner and had no real friends. His parents had passed away in his mid twenties, they were middle aged when they had him so both were in there 60s but both died relativly early. also he was an only child.\n\nNed was celebrating his birthday locked away in his shelter. He had prepared himself a small cake for one from his local supermarket. It was a chocolate sponge covered in a chocolate fudge icing with a chunk of flake in the middle.\nNed sliced the cake in half and took a bite before replacing it. He decided to put some music on so he switched on his console then the tv and put on his classic rock songs cd. Using the wifi from the house ned thought he would watch the news on mute while his music blasted, waiting for any worthwhile news.\n10 minutes pass then breaking news flashes on the tv \" trump launches missle at north korea \" this is what ned had prepared him self for for his past 5 years. Ned feeling slightly confused as he felt a sense off excitement but also a sense of scared shitless.\nThe queen song so depressingly in the background playing \" who wants to live forever\"\nThe tv switches to just a fuzzy black and white screen.\nNed took himself to his bed and decided to lay down, Preparing himself incase his shelter is not upto scratch for a nuclear war.\nGraphic images like strobe lights race through his mind. After a while the thoughts begin to slow down. His mind suddenly creates a dream like thought in real time.\nThere is a mother running with her two children hand in hand. One boy the other a girl. The blast behind creating the mushroom cloud before piercing bright light filling the landscape. Then the destruction. Buildings crumbling, trees uprooting before burning to a crisp.\nThe mother falls to her knees and covers her children with her long winter coat in some kind of slim hope they will be protected. \nSkin then flesh disintegrating from there skeleton. Burning there bodies. Cremating them to ash. All the while the kansas song plays dust in the wind.\nNed hears a loud blast, then he feels the earth move, rumbling. Anticipating his last breath. Will he feel it? \nThe rumbling getting nearer. Cds and dvds shaking off from the shelfs and the desk. A violent rumbling passing right over his shelter followed by a surge of temperature heating the whole place, becoming like a sauna when the water hits the hot stones sucking the oxygen from the air. \nAfter a while the heat starts dropping. the shaking calms. Ned then realises he has passed the 1st test.\nFor now he must survive and wait for the fallout to clear. Stay strong minded and ration wisely.\n\nThis is just the start of his adventure.\n\nTo be continued.",

      "body": "A ray of light flitters through a gap in the blind, Filling this dark room that is my prison.\nI take a drag from my cigarette exhaling the smoke, watching it curl into ghostly apparitions before disappearing like all things i hold so dearly. \nI stub the butt into an over filled ashtray burning my finger tips.\nI reach for an half bottle of bourbon taking a swig seething the burning sensation through my teeth before swallowing. \nThe smell of musty body odour lingers in the air, coming from my own body where i have not cleansed myself in weeks. \nMy belly aching from not eating properly, just scoffing on left over foods in the fridge and packets of savouries.\nI stare at the wall where my fist had put a hole in the plasterboard.\nThis room starving for an argument to which i can only argue with myself.\nI have pushed everyone \" loved ones and friends \" away.\nShe comes again to see me tonight.\nShe comes as if she blames me for her fate.\nI watch her glide through the air. Her song suddenly plays on the stereo. I am not surprised it has played every night since she started haunting me.\nThe doors to the balcony blow open hitting me with a violent blast of cold night air.\nHer silhouette passing by me exiting the apartment.\nShe ascends then disappears like before.\n\nLet me tell you about the events that led me to become this way.\n\nIt was four days after christmas, we were preparing foods for a romantic night together after spending time with family and friends.\nI was standing behind her, my arms wrapped around her holding her hands chopping the salads together. The smell of her perfume which i got her as a gift for christmas filters through my nostrils. So sweet she had good taste.\nHer song comes on the radio \" wild horses by the stones\" such a classic. She had good taste there too.\nShe drops the knife and turns to me. Her arms grabbing my waist.\n\" lets dance \" she whispers in my ear.\nAs we dance i can feel her satin vest through her shirt as i caress her back.\nWe dance and dance like we have no care in the world.\nI pull apart from her still holding her hand as if to pull her back into myself. \nOur hands start to slip apart due to the waters in the salad we had been cutting.\nShe starts to tumble backwards towards the balcony.\nAt first i jokingly smile and then i see her trip on the step of the door to the balcony, causing her to trip.\nShe spins around to grab hold off the railing but the force pushes her top half over.\nHer legs start to follow. I run to her as she starts to completely go over.\nEverything is like slow motion. My out reached hand desperately trying to grab her leg.\nShe disappears.\nI get to the edge looking over, helpless.\nI watch as she falls to the ground like a falling leaf in autumn.\nWhat took in reallity around 13 seconds to hit the ground felt like an eternity.\nHer lifeless body sprawled on the floor.\nThe innocence of the white snow turns a devilish red.\nI drop to my knees pleading to god why.\nI had one last gift for her this night. the gift of marriage and now she has gone.\n\nThe police and paramedics come. They ask me routine questions, and after thoroughly quizzing me leave knowing it was just an horrendous accident.\n\nSo here i am. Broken and bittered.\nNothing to live for.\nI often think about following her down to be with her once again. To be in her arms. But then again what if it is true about suicide.\nNever to see her again. I cant live without her, that is what scares me the most.\nAt least this way i can admire her beauty until i to am dust.",
