body	The cryptocurrency market faced several challenges at the beginning of 2023, because on one hand it was trying to get out of the bearish phase of the previous year and on the other hand it was also dealing with macroeconomic factors. However, several digital currencies have managed to achieve significant performance and surprise market participants. As the first half of 2023 comes to an end, it's a good time to think about prominent cryptocurrencies. In this regard, five digital assets, which were somehow among the market leaders in this upward trend, are ranked. 1) Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Bitcoin Cash (BCH) has recently emerged as a surprise token in the cryptocurrency space, making significant gains in late June – largely driven by institutional investor interest in the crypto market. BCH's dramatic rise can also be attributed to the launch of EDX Markets – a cryptocurrency exchange backed by prominent institutional investors such as Citadel Securities, Fidelity Investments and Charles Schwab. This impressive support probably contributed to the strengthening of BCH's performance in the market. 2) Cardano (ADA) Cardano currency has entered the list of the best digital currency for long-term investment for various reasons. The Cardano network has less downsides, which makes it attractive to investors. For example, this network consumes much less energy to complete transactions than a larger network like Bitcoin. As a result, its transactions are done faster and at lower cost. In 2021, Cardano launched a "hard fork" to improve its performance, allowing the deployment of smart contracts on the network. According to Mint, Cardano launched the Vasil fork in September 2022, which is expected to improve the scalability of the Cardano blockchain. Cardano recently launched a beta version of a platform called AdaSwap where developers can build decentralized financial applications. AdaSwap can promote Cardano's position as a Web3 network and cause its coin price to grow. Although Cardano is ranked seventh in terms of market capitalization, according to Forbes, the NFT protocol of this blockchain is the third largest protocol in the world. 3) Chainlink (LINK) Chainlink uses a decentralized oracle network to conduct secure transactions between blockchains and external data feeds, events, and payment methods that developers hope will help make smart contracts a common form of digital payment. According to Benzinga, one of the positive aspects of Chain Link is its strategic partnership with Google, based on which Google uses the Chain Link protocol to connect users to its cloud services. Chainlink is also the blockchain of choice for the new inflation index from decentralized finance company Truflation, which is built as an alternative to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). While the CPI measures inflation using survey data, the Truflation Index uses 10 million data points from more than 40 different sources to measure inflation dynamically, accurately, objectively, and transparently. Advisors to Chainlink Labs include former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, DocuSign founder Tom Gunser, and former LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner. 4) Conflux (CFX) Since its founding, Conflux has attracted attention mainly for being the only public blockchain in China, a factor that has also contributed to its impressive performance in 2023.
