      "body": "Everybody goes through adversity at some point in their life and it’s something that holds 95% of people back from achieving their dreams or goals. It all started about mid-way through 2017 when my football (AFL) season wasn't going the way I had planned it to go and from that I was unbalanced within myself and with my outside life. I was angry and upset, I couldn't work out what was going on and I was starting to let fear and doubt creep into my game and life. It was tough because I had been working so hard to make it to the big time.\n\nFor the last half of the season I concentrated on trying to build on all different levels, to get self-doubt and fear out of myself, that was never there before. I was meditating harder, working harder and researching so many ways to get better but nothing was working. Now that I look back on it, my mind was so clouded and with that came bad judgement. How can we do well if our mind is clouded? This lead to more negative things happening in my life than positive. In the end I wasn't taking responsibility for my life and what I had created in it.\n\nAt the end of the season I sat back while I was overseas seeing my partner and realised I was the one that had created a bad year for myself in my sport and I was the only one that could change my future. I stopped blaming people and asking why me, why me? Instead I turned it right around and said to myself, either you walk away and be proud of what you have done but, knowing if you do, you will have regret later on in life, or you stand up and turn this around and step into all of who you able to become this lifetime. You don't just dream about something as a kid and let it all go. You go get it. From that moment on, my whole mind set came back and changed back to normal, my work rate returned and best of all my drive.\n\nIt was the hardest thing to admit to myself that I was the one responsible for my whole year and the adversity that I had put myself through, and now accept and understand it was all a part of immense growth. I have learnt, no time is ever lost when adversity hits us, instead it is a chance to grow more than ever before and become someone better for this world we live in.\n\nSo, when you come across adversity in your life, take a step back and see how you can get through the situation as a man or woman and see it as a lesson by the world. We all go through it at some point in our lives and no one is ever alone.",
