The discussions made by brother Eli was centered on essential aspects of Christian living, including our responsibility to live according to the word of God and continually seek his ways in our journey on earth.\n\n**Embracing God’s will**\nBrother Eli talked about the importance of delighting in Gods law and making it part of our daily lives. True joy and fulfillment comes from obeying God and keeping his word to our heart.\n***Romans 7:22:** For in my inner being I delight in God's law\n**Psalms 40:8:** I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.*\nWe should always find pleasure in doing Gods will, as it strengthens our connection to God and enables us live a life filled with his grace and mercies.\n\n**Recognizing and resisting temptations** \nBeing able to acknowledge human weaknesses is crucial in avoiding sin. Brother Eli reminded us to always stay vigilant because many influences around us can make us deviate from the right part of God.\n***II peter 2:12:** But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish.*\nBy being grounded in faith and prayer, us as Christians will be able to arm ourselves against such challenges, ensuring that we remain steadfast in our spiritual life. \n\n**Walking in the path of God** \nBrother Eli also encouraged us to always seek the righteous path, this means looking back at the foundations of our faith and embracing the ways God has set and planned for us. He also said we should remain humble and obedient, understanding that God’s ways are always best for us.\n***Jeremiah 6:16:** Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, 'We will not walk in it.*\n\n**Living as reflections of God** \nIt is a privilege for each and everyone of us to be created in God’s image. As such, we must embody his love, justice, and righteousness in our daily lives. We should come together and have regular fellowship and gatherings which are essential for strengthening our relationship with God, faith and unity of the community.\n\n***Hebrews 10:24-25:** And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.*\n\nBrother eli also talked about the ability to stay vigilant and pray which are very vital to avoid falling into sin. Recognizing human weaknesses helps in staying spiritually disciplined, avoiding temptations and maintaining our relationship with God.\n\n***Matthew 26:41:**Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.*\n\nWe should not discriminate others because it is against the word of God, all members of the community should be treated equally and with dignity because we all equal in the eyes of God. The true faith of a Christian manifests in impartiality and kindness.\n\n***James 2:1-4:**my brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,”  have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?*\n\nHe also implied that gatherings should be constructive, aiming to edify the community and promote spiritual growth of the group. The act of coming together strengthens unity, fosters understanding, and builds a sense of shared purpose within the community, this helps us to easily share Gods words. The early Christians prioritized studying the word of God during their gatherings; this means that fellowship and teaching are integral parts of Christian meetings and dedication to spiritual learning requires time and effort. \n\n***1 Corinthians 14:26*** *what then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation.
