But the money we have now is not digital, CBDC's are digital so the control will be much more direct.\nNow we have the ability to transact in private with cash, and for whatever we might want, imagine that you don't have cash, but in a way where the money controls you, and stops you from paying anybody who might have fallen out of favour with the current regime.\nIf this does not scare you, you might be asleep, it is very easy to be one of the people the regime does not favour. It seems to be easier by the day.\n\nBitcoin on the other hand can not limit your financial expression, since there is no central control, want to send money to a institution listed as bad for whatever reason, you can with bitcoin, no other financial system will allow you the same freedom.\n\nThe obvious example, the truckers protesting in Canada, they started with using any trad-fi tool, but as time wore on everyone of the trad-fi systems used by the truckers the only system that never fell to censorship was bitcoin in the end this was the only system that allowed a protest over government overreach. There was no other system that allowed the truckers to protest.\nThe truckers even did this in a trad-fi world before CBDC's were introduced, do you think it will be easier to protest anything under a CBDC system, I don't think so.\n\nI think if we want a world that is more bitcoin than CBDC we might only have till 2030 to make the choice.\nthough 2030 could be a very generous timeline.",

I recently got a chromebook, I do not have adblock on this, not yet at least.\nI did not think this would be a big deal.
