This iteration of <i>Superman</i> is directed and written by James Gunn. It feels different from many other the other <i>Superman</i> movies we've seen, probably because there is no exposition. You know where he came from, you know his powers and his girlfriend, no need to repeat that. Instead, this movie throws you straight into the action and it isn't shy about what it is. A comic book movie. Which is fun, but not memorable.\n\nThe actor choices are interesting. The main problem is that David Corenswet our new Superman, is not charismatic enough in my opinion. He doesn't control and own the screen or the character. Even in his Superman suit he feels more Clark Kent than anything else. I feel like he does his best, but it is not impressive enough in my opinion. Rachel Brosnahan is an interesting choice for Lois Lane one which I like. She really takes her character seriously and she feels like a true reporter. From the kind that doesn't actually exist anymore. I had serious doubts when I heard that Nicholas Hoult will be Lex Luthor. I still have doubts. I mean he works well with what they gave him, which is over the top and dramatic, but I prefer cold and calculating Luthor.\n\nI guess that this is my main issue with the movie. It is very colorful, fun and action packed, but it is over the top. It even had a good political point to make, but the ridicules way in which everything is done and everyone behaves is hard to take seriously. When both the main villain and Luthor drag the movie into the ridicules level I think that this movie misses what a <i>Superman</i> needs to have which is heart. If you want to go over the top and be very comic booky and don't think that the first movie in a new cinematic universe is the place for it. It was just too much and too confusing for me. And it lacked something that will make it worth my time. Heart.\n\nI always felt that Superman is a character driven by principles, heart and good intentions and this movie lacked it. It was fun and entertaining, but I left the cinema feeling nothing. One week later I barely remember what was in the movie as it left so little of an impression on me. It's pretty sad in my opinion. And it is much better than \"Reckless\". I can't even describe how better it is. While \"Reckless\" felt like it had no plot, this book has so many things happening in it and so many twists and turns that it just left me shocked. And also satisfied. It felt like this book the delivered on the promise of the synopsis and the hype of the first book. Now this book is worthy of being a TikTok sensation.\n\nThis book picks up right from the shocking plot twist of the end of the second book. The plot twist that made that book worth reading. Now you need to be prepared for so many plot twists that you will need to lift your jaw from the floor. Paedyn has been brought back to Ilya by order of the new king. She has been brought back by the enforcer Kai Azer. Now, like in the first book Paedyn finds herself trapped in a love triangle. However, unlike the first book, the stakes are much higher as the entire kingdom now depends on her choices.\n\nI have to say, I don't really like Paedyn. I never did. There is something about her attitude that I didn't like from the first book. Probably because she felt too generic. A teenager whose training makes her more deadly than the most skilled killer in the kingdom, who has been trained to kill since he was a small child? I don't think so. Still, I find her to be a little more sympathy worthy in this book. A little bit more likable. Maybe because as she opens up more, we learn more about her character. Something more than sarcastic with an attitude.\n\nKai is Kai. His character never grows or changes or develops or anything. For a character that is written to be so badass he is actually very passive and compliant. He does what he is order to do and what is expected of his and that's it. Nothing ever changes with him.\n\nKitt is the big surprise of the book. Or trilogy. I thought I knew how his character is going to go. It felt like is the most predictable character and the other characters will be the groundbreaking, world changing characters. But no. Surprise, surprise he is the most surprising character of the books. If you think he shocked you in \"Reckless,\" it is nothing compared to the stuff he does in this book. And when the real curtain gets pulled back. Oh boy. Prepare to be shocked. I loved it.\n\nI was expecting another over hyped book that was held together by banter and chemistry between characters, but I was pleasantly surprised by this book. So much actually happens in this book. It was a great surprise.       "body": "I loved this movie when it came out and I still watch it occasionally and enjoy it. But I really love the Tomb Raider games and this movie doesn't compare. The games had more plot then this movie, which is not good. And it had a better plot which is a bit embarrassing. Even the first game which has a terrible quality of everything had a better plot then the movie. Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation has such a good plot that it's a better movie if you just watch the cut scenes. Tomb Raider was a great action movie, I love it. It's just not great in the plot department.    ",
