      "body": "January 3rd Passage found in the **Poetry Section** - *Job Chapters 1 & 2*\n\nWhat was the first thing Job did after having lost everything (and I mean everything)  **He worships God**  *Job 1:20-22* - How amazing is that!!   We also see that although his 3 friends are not very helpful in their counsel throughout chapters 4 -36 -  initially we see them demonstrate a true example of how best to comfort someone who is grieving in this verse *Job 2: 11 \"Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights.  No one said a word to him because they saw hos great his suffering was.\"  We could learn much from this action.*  \n\nJanuary 4th Passage found in the **Prophecy Section** - *Isaiah Chapters 1 - 6*\n\nThis is not a section for the faint of heart.  If you understand the word **\"WOE\"** you will see it used here often and that it is used by God to warn those who are disobedient to **HIS** teaching that judgment is coming -  In fact there are 13 reasons given for God's displeasure - see the following *Isaiah 1:28;  2:6- 8, 11;  3:4,5, 9, 12, 16;  4:1;   5:8, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22*\n\nNow be honest - is our society primed for Judgment?",

      "body": "Hoping your New Year will bring you a bit of cheer combined with **\"LESSONS LEARNED\"**.  As is my practice each January 1 - I make a commitment to read through God's Word in it's entirety in the coming year.  As I considered this goal this year - I was drawn to a *52 Week Bible Reading Plan* that provides a unique approach to this challenge.  Each day of the week I will be focusing on one of the following sections - **History,  Psalms,  Poetry,  Prophecy,  Gospels,  Epistles,  and The Law**.  There is a guide provided to help me with which chapters in each section I should read for each day.  \n\n**Next** - I decided that as I read my daily passage - I will endeavour to come away with one of the following:  -  a truth I had perhaps missed in the past and/or a verse that deserves memorizing.  Last night as I was considering how best to share my love for the Word of God with others, I decided to begin posting my findings on **Steemit** - once per day.  \n\nYou will notice that I'm behind already because it's now the 13th of January and I'm just getting started.  Therefore I will share my finding for 2 days (beginning with January 1st) every day until I'm caught up.  I suppose perhaps I could just forget about those first 12 days **BUT** I don't believe God wants you to miss out on anything He has so graciously shown me over these past few days.\n\nSo let's begin with the January 1st  passage found in the **History Section** - *Joshua Chapters 1 to 5*.  \n\n**First** - In these chapters Joshua is commissioned to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land after 40 years of wandering in the wilderness - why? - because they had turned away from God to Idols.  The good news - God is faithful to his promises and now they were being given a fresh start.  This rang so true to me.  At the age of 40 after wandering in my own wilderness - **God gave me a fresh start** - I entered the promised land of eternal life.  \n\n**Second** -  A verse worth remembering *\"Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night so that you may be careful to o everything written in it\" Joshua 1:8*\n\n**NEXT** - we move to the January 2nd passage found in the **Psalms Section** - *Psalm 1 & 2*.\n\n**First** - Here we are reminded of the final outcome for sinners and the righteous and to beware of rejecting Jesus.  If you wonder what the difference is - please read and be aware.  \n\n**Second** - *For the **LORD** watches over the way of the righteous **BUT** the way of the wicked will perish\" Psalm 1:6*  This verse is a wonderful reminder that we have someone who promises to watch over us when we are in a right relationship with him.  \n\nThanks for visiting my post - hope to see you again tomorrow for my perspective on Job 1-2 and Isaiah 1-6.       "body": "Over the last few weeks, I have been immersed in an 8 week Study entitled __\"If God Made the Universe\"__ produced by an organization made up of Scientists called __\"Reasons to Believe\"__.  The outline for the study focuses on the following questions?  \n\n1.  Why is it so Vast?\n2.  Why is it so Old?\n3.  Why is it so Dark?\n4.  Why is there an Earth?\n5.  Why So Much for So Little?\n6.  Why is it Decaying?\n7.  Why Isn't it Perfect Now?\n8.  What will God Make Next?\n\nClosing with the question:  What Does All This say about God?\n\nI don't intend to share with you all that I learned from this very important teaching, however I am writing on my site again after a very long absence, because I feel I need to become more active in helping others wherever possible - you see while we are here on earth, there will be times of trial and suffering but what we learn from these times we need to pass along to others - there is a purpose!\n\nIn thinking about how best to do this, I remembered how my own life was in disarray for many years but when I reached the tender age of 40 - things took a turn.\n\nFor some 5 years or so I was in a habitual state of _SEEKING!_  Seeking what you might ask.  _ANSWERS!_\n\nIn looking back to that time - I remember struggling with issues in my life - issues I feel many in our society are also struggling with. In a recent discussion with new friends as to why these folk don't seem to be able to climb out of their situation - we were reminded that the same issues I faced those 25 years ago - they too are facing but somehow they are caught and don't seem able to escape.  Their lives just continue to go from bad to worse.  \n\nThere are many ways we seek for answers.  Mine included such things as - self-help books and tapes, transendental meditation (you know when you lie on the floor with a room full of perfect strangers and hum),  indepth astrological horoscope readings, the study of reincarnation and of course, the more common ways involving mind altering drugs and alcohol.  \n\n__BUT__ - I was seeking and that is where I believe my help came from.  All through this process of trial and error, I would find relief for a short time in each of these adventures, however, the operative term here is - __short term__.\n\nSo what are some of the issues that led me to this journey? \n \n-  depression\n-  marital problems\n-  business failure\n-  loneliness\n-  loss and grief\n-  guilt\n-  fear\n-  addictions\n-  anxiety\n-  hopelessness\n\nThere are other issues that I didn't face that I see inherent in so many of those we are trying to help such as:\n\n-  poverty\n-  homelessness\n-  lack of self control\n-  victims of abuse\n\nbut, I believe with all my heart, the answers I found are available to everyone, no matter how dire their circumstances seem to be.\n\nThe first step is __SEEKING__ for answers.  When we stop seeking and move into the world of acceptance of our situation, our future will continue to be much like our present.\n\nWhat I'd like to do for the next few articles is to look at each of these issues from my own personal experience with a hope of making a difference in the lives of others caught in the trap of despair.\n\nI will begin next time - looking at __LONELINESS__. BUT this Lesson is so important I couldn't neglect sharing it with my fellow Steemers.\n\nNow you may wonder why I'm writing about Jesus' Birthday in March when **EVERYBODY** knows his birthday is December 25th *(or is it)*  That's where this story begins - how I've learned why that date is the wrong date.  Perhaps  this isn't news to many of you - but here is some interesting information you may not have considered.  \n\nNow to venture into the true date  this year  **MARCH 17TH** - today.   Stick with me folks.  \n\nWe'll begin by looking at other very significant days in JESUS' life - days that coincided with **Hebrew Holy Days**:\n\n**A**.  The day he rode into Jerusalem on a colt - often referred to as Palm Sunday.  This day is actually known as the \"DAY OF THE LAMB\" - the 10th day of the month of Nisan originating in Exodus chapter 12.  It was the day when each family would choose their perfect, unblemished Lamb for Passover.  That is why I always refer to **PALM SUNDAY as \"LAMB SELECTION DAY\"**.  Interesting isn't it that Jesus is often referred to as the Lamb of God  - a perfect, unblemished Lamb.\n\n**B**.  The next Holy Day is \"PASSOVER\".  The day when Jesus is **crucified** - the same day at the same hour the Priests are offering up the Lambs in the Temple.\n\n**C**.  The next Holy Day is \"**THE FEAST OF FIRST FRUITS**\" - when the first fruits of the harvest are lifted up to God - the day when Jesus ROSE FROM THE DEAD - becoming the First Fruit.  \n\n**D**.  The next Holy Day is **\"SHAVVOT\"** - the Feast of Weeks.   - 50 days from the Feast of First Fruits - the day the Church was born - known to us as PENTECOST.\n\nSome think that His birth must have taken place on one of the Fall Holy Days but if you were to study Prophecy - you would see how the events around JESUS'SECOND COMING fit into those -  the Fall Holy Days.\n\n            \n**NOW** If we were to go the Gospel accounts of Jesus' birth, a familiar part of that story revolves around the visit of the Shepherds.  Rabbis in the Talmud say that Shepherds will only be out in the fields between March and the next rainy season.  We also see that they were in the field at night.  It's important to note that there is only 1 time of the year Shepherds would be out with their flocks at night - **ONLY ONE - SPRINGTIME** - and only at night during the birthing time of lambs to ensure they're o.k. - which only happens at one time - **SPRINGTIME** - usually March/April (the HEBREW MONTH OF NISAN).  \n\nWe also see that Jesus is born in Bethlehem - the actual place where Lambs that are born were LAMBS for the temple Sacrifice - the perfect place and time for the Messiah (the Lamb of God)  to be born\n\nLet's take a moment and look at the Hebrew Calendar.  First of all it is based on the moon.  Every Hebrew month begins with a NEW MOON and reaches its peak at the full Moon (not surprising that Jesus died at the full moon).\n\nThe Jewish month of **NISAN** is the first month of the Sacred Calendar and the 1st day of Nisan actually signifies the **BEGINNING**.  Jesus being born on NISAN 1 would certainly fit his role - GOD'S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON - bringing in the time of the NEW COVENANT.  \n\nSO - what is today - March 17th - on the Jewish Calendar - **NISAN 1**.  \n\nKeep in mind that we never celebrate **GOOD FRIDAY or EASTER or PENTECOST** on a specific date - it always coincides with the Holy Days of - **PASSOVER, THE FEAST OF FIRST FRUITS & SHAVOT**  (sometimes in March - sometimes in April).  \n\nTherefore it would seem reasonable that we should celebrate **JESUS BIRTH** on NISAN 1 each year - MARCH 17TH, 2018.  \n\nHope you have found this Lesson Learned inlightning and from now on you'll set aside NISAN 1 on your calendar in remembrance of the birth of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.",
