And I'll like to say from my own point of view as a believer, that Love is the nature of God. 1 cor. 13 explained more about love and says Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely. Love does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, en­dures all things. What love is not: Love is not an emotion, Love is not an addiction, Love is not sex, Love is not attraction, Love is not an insanity, Love is not infatuation, Love is not a weakness, Love is not harmful. ![image](https://img.esteem.ws/5yjk9kxnfc.jpg) What love is: Love is awesomely natural, Love is desire for the well-being of the loved, Love is the great positive force, Love is deep connection, Love is healing and healthful, Love is passionately compassionate, Love is Divine spiritual essence. TYPES OF LOVE 1. Eros or Erotic Love. Eros was the word often used to express sexual love or the feelings of arousal that are shared between people who are physically attracted to one another. Philia or Affectionate Love. brotherly love Aristotle divides friendships into three types, based on the motive for forming them: friendships of utility, friendships of pleasure and friendships of the good. 3. Storge or Familiar Love. familial love refers to natural or instinctual affection, such as the love of a parent towards offspring and vice versa. 4. Ludus or Playful Love. Ludus is a game-playing or uncommitted love . Lying is part of the game. A person who pursues ludic love may have many conquests but remains uncommitted. 5. Mania or Obsessive Love. Mania coming from the term manic usually flows out of a desire to hold one's partner in high esteem and wanting to love and be loved in this way seeing specialness in the interaction. This type of love leads a partner into a type of madness and obsessiveness. It is represented by the color purple, as it is a mix between ludus and eros. 6. Pragma or Enduring Love. Pragma is the most practical type of love, not necessarily derived out of true romantic love. Rather, pragma is a convenient type of love. Pragmatic lovers have a notion of being of service which they perceive to be rational and realistic. While they may be sincere about being useful themselves it also translates to also having expectations in a partner and of the relationship. 7. Philautia or Self Love. In its negative form philautia is the selfishness that wants pleasure, fame, and wealth beyond what one needs. Narcissus, who falls in love with his own reflection, exemplifies this kind of self- love . In its positive form philautia refers to a proper pride or self- love . 8. Agape or Selfless Love. Christian term referring to love, the highest form of love, charity and the love of God for man and of man for God. Important aspect of agape love is that it extends beyond emotions. It's much more than a feeling or sentiment. Agape love is active. It demonstrates love through actions. THE FIVE LOVE LANGUAGE 1. Words of affirmation: One way to express love emotionally is to use words that build up. Solomon, author of ancient Hebrew Wisdom Literature, wrote, "The tongue has the power of life and death" (Proverbs 18:21, NIV). Quality time: By "quality time," I mean giving someone your undivided attention. I don't mean sitting on the couch watching television together. What I mean is sitting on the couch with the TV off, looking at each other and talking, devices put away, giving each other your undivided attention. Receiving gifts:: Almost everything ever written on the subject of love indicates that at the heart of love is the spirit of giving. All five love languages challenge us to give to our spouse, but for some, receiving gifts, visible symbols of love, speaks the loudest. 4. Acts of service By acts of service, I mean doing things you know your spouse would like you to do. You seek to please her by serving her, to express your love for her by doing things for her. 5. Physical touch: As its been known that physical touch is a way of communicating emotional love. Numerous research projects in the area of child development have made that conclusion: Babies who are held, stroked and kissed develop a healthier emotional life than those who are left for long periods of time without physical contact. WHY LOVE When the topic 'love' is been discussed, we should not limit our thought to emotions and feelings or even sex. Love is a wide topic that goes beyond that. * Our lives individually Self- love is a combination of self confidence, high self esteem, courage, self-acceptance, self- possession, self-awareness, kindness, and respect for ourselves. Believe it or not, some people find that they are the hardest person to love in their lives. ... No one is going to love you if you don't love yourself, so learning to love yourself is critical. * Family Without love , money loses value. Love is more important than money. You work to provide for yourself and your family. Having the love of someone is very important , because humans are very sociable, and it is very important to have close relationships with people you can always turn to. Relationship Possibly, but that does not change the fact that people today use the word "love " like it is any other word in the dictionary, such as pizza or Toronto for example. Sometimes we lose sight of what is really important because we think loving someone is the sole reason to be in a relationship, but it's not. Society Love, compassion, a common sense of community- any synonym to the word ' love '- binds people together. Society functions because humans combine efforts together and accomplish feats. REASONS WHY LOVE IS THE BEST SOLUTION FOR THE WORLD 1.Love Makes You Feel Invincible Love makes you feel as if you can do anything. Your approach on life is brighter and happier. You have courage to do things you didn’t think you were able to do. 2. Love Gives You Incredible Inspiration Being in love makes you feel inspired. It gives you a can-do attitude that you can approach anything, anywhere, anytime. Being in love gives you motivation. Your attitude is optimistic and always positive. 3. Love Makes You Happy When you’re in love, you’re blissfully happy all the time. 4. Love Makes You A Hopeful Romantic Falling in love makes you a romantic. Love gives you hope that there is a perfect person out there for you. 5. Love Makes You Eliminate Your Fear Love makes you fearless. The things you used to fear disappear in love. 6. But yhen i was reading a leadersgip book writing by Dr Myles Monreo and he said "winners dont quit and quiters dont win" so being a leader who dont want to be a failure, i decide to ware the steemit amour of 'never give into laziness steemian'. One of the ways you know youre becoming lazy is when you dont plan to make any post again thats laziness, youre telling yiur self no topic to write on (thats funny) because there are thousands of topics to write your blog post on. This same persons are having so much time for many other activities ignoring that which will better there health. Some forget that a living dog is better than a dead lion. In this post I'll be discussing about the EXAMPLES OF EXERCISES, SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF EXERCISE, HOW CAN I START MINE TODAY, CONSEQUENCE OF NOT EXERCISING. If you think exercise is important to your body system please don't just view give an UPVOTE. I'll love to start by letting you know that Exercise is an activity requiring physical effort, carried out to sustain or improve health and fitness. Exercise is also known as physical activity. I'll also put this In simple terms exercise is any movement that works your body at a greater intensity than your usual level of daily activity. One thing you should know is that if you go for your Exercise on daily bases, it raises your heart rate and works your muscles and is most commonly undertaken to achieve the aim of physical fitness. EXAMPLES OF EXERCISES You may be wondering "what can I do to reduce my risk of obtaining heart diseases, etc?" Exercising your body will be of good help. Some examples of exercises are listed as follow; 1. Gardening: According to the Centers for Disease Control, gardening is compared to “moderate cardiovascular exercise.” Gardening 30 to 45 minutes a day can burn 150 to 300 calories. This isn't just standing there watering the flowers, but weeding, digging, hoeing, raking and planting. 2. Walking: jogging Keep up a brisk pace to make it a good cardio workout . Strength: Yes. Your legs will get stronger from walking regularly. Sport: No. Race- walking is a sport, and you can often find charity walks to do with a group of people, but for most people, walking is not competitive. 3. Swimming: Swimming gives your entire body a great workout , including your core. Arms: Yes. You'll need your arms for most swim strokes, so expect them to get a workout . Legs: Yes. Yoga: Yoga includes physical exercise, but it's also about life balance. Training your mind, body, and breath as well as connecting with your spirituality are the main goals of the yoga lifestyle. The physical part of the yoga lifestyle is called hatha yoga. Quality Sleep and Relaxation: Regular physical activity, regardless of whether it is aerobic or a combination of aerobic and resistance training, can help you sleep better and feel more energized during the day. 5. Motivates Better Sex Life: Exercise can help improve sexual desire, function and performance in married men and women. It can also help decrease the risk of erectile dysfunction in men. CONSEQUENCE OF NOT EXERCISING Many heart related deaths are due to lack of cardiovascular exercise . Lack of exercise can also cause heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure and arterial disease. Some consequences are listed below; 1. Weight Gain I'm very sure you're aware that If you don't exercise, you may have difficulty controlling your weight. The extra pounds that come with too many hours on the couch may be a result of an inactive lifestyle, especially when coupled with poor dietary habits. 2. Diabetes Note that, Type two diabetes is on the rise in the world, partially because of consumption of too much junk food, sugary drinks, and other processed foods, but also because people exercise less. These are harmful, so the body releases insulin to cut the blood sugar to manageable level. Chronic Disease In Nigeria, chronic disease is the main cause of disability and death with more than 2 million Nigerians suffering from one or more chronic illnesses. Physical inactivity is a major cause. HOW CAN I STAR MINE TODAY 1. Schedule it. You don't go to important meetings and appointments spontaneously, you schedule them. Don't even assume you know what to do, and then start any how. 2. Make it easy on yourself. Please do not forget to plan your workouts for the time of day when you're most awake and energetic. 3. Remove obstacles. No pain no gain. 4. Hold yourself accountable. Do not give excuses on your weakness. Take responsibility for every error and mistake. The best time to start your workout or exercise is NOW. Remember, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step.
