It can be used for the automation of tasks, web development, Artificial Intelligence programming, robotics, mathematics, and much more. <p>\n\nPython allows for quick development and rapid prototyping of A.I.’s and neural networks. It has a very short development period when being compared to languages like C++, Lisp, and Java. It is open source and supports object oriented programming. Some examples of companies that use Python are Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Yahoo, NASA, IBM, and many more. \n\n<p>If you are completely new to programming and are looking for a first language, you may want to give Python a hard look!  \n\nIf you are interested in learning more about Python, you should start with watching a few videos and tutorials on Youtube to get a feel of what it can do. \n\n(sentdex) on Youtube  is a great place to start learning the language or simply watch for entertainment. Although Prolog may be  considered old, it shines for its tree-based data structuring, pattern matching abilities, backtracking support, easy rule implementation, and logic-based development. <p>\n\n<p>Prolog was first developed in France in the 1970s, and has even been used by the Japanese Government in an attempt to create intelligent computer systems as seen with the ICOT Fifth Generation Computer Systems Initiative. Try to imagine what your late 90's or early 2000 desktop computer looked like. Mine looked like a giant tan cardboard box, which collected much dust. Today we have sleek looking smartphones that are exponentially more powerful and can easily fit into our pockets. We also can't FUNCTION normally in society without them. They are used for so many different tasks it is unreal. Perhaps one day you will not be able to function normally in society without some sort of augmented reality in place to aid you in your daily objectives. \n\nAs of right now, I believe that AR is like my old \"cardboard box\" computer. It is just beginning, and looks a bit ugly. In the future AR will be used alongside everything. You will be able to attend meetings (star wars style), evaluate potential houses and infrastructure, create artwork, participate in video gaming, watch movies, view hidden content, problem solve, and possibly have the power of the entire internet in your vision. \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCn_NAyHuJg\n\n In the not too distant future I believe that AR will be used by most people and will be completely engrained in our social routine as a society. We have already developed contact lenses that allow you to see an augmented reality, and they will only get better as time goes on. While that may be true to an extent, we will be seeing the fathers and mothers of those robots over the next few years.
