      "body": "![다운로드.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXu8T5EmGviChg6eGFW7pDJx9yvyPbTa18v3HHJiECWMT/%EB%8B%A4%EC%9A%B4%EB%A1%9C%EB%93%9C.png)\n평소 SNS를 하진 않지만 대학 강의의 일환으로 스팀잇이라는 블록체인 SNS에 가입해서 한 학기 동안 막강한 스팀파워를 가진 일명 ‘스팀고래’들과 인기 포스팅 등을 관찰해본 결과 많은 것을 느낄 수 있었다.\n 일단 스팀잇은 기본적으로 SNS이며 수많은 이용자들이 각자 나름대로의 포스팅을 통해 일정 수익을 얻어갈 수 있는 블록체인, 암호화폐의 기술을 접목시켜 ‘글을 쓰면 돈을 번다’라는 독특하고 매리트있는 특징을 가졌다. 그렇기 때문에 스팀잇을 처음 접한 사람들이라면 큰 관심을 가질 수밖에 없다. 언제나 새로운 사람들이 유입될 수 있는 메리트있는 환경을 가진 것이 스팀잇의 가장 큰 장점이다.\n 또다른 스팀잇의 특징은 ‘스팀고래’들의 존재이다. 스팀고래들은 신규 유입자들보다 보팅에 있어 차별점을 가지고 있으며 스팀파워를 바탕으로 강한 영향력을 행사한다. 다른 SNS와 비교했을 때 ‘인플루언서’들이라고 볼 수 있다. 즉, 스팀고래들은 스팀잇에서 활동하는 유저들의 모델이나 목표라고 할 수 있다. 동기가 있고 목표가 명확하다는 것은 스팀잇이라는 SNS가 같은 장점이다.\n하지만 스팀잇은 단점이 좀 더 크다... 몇몇 스팀고래들을 관찰했을 때 대부분 암호화폐에 지대한 관심을 가지고 다양한 보팅 이벤트들을 홍보하며 최소 수 천 개 이상의 게시글을 작성하며 왕성한 활동을 하고 있는 것 같다. 내가 보았을 때 이는 모든 스팀고래들의 공통점이자 유일한 특징이기도 하다. 수많은 게시글들 중 직접 작성한 포스팅보다 다른 유저의 글을 리트윗한 경우가 많고 글을 쓰더라도 주제는 사진, 여행, 음식 외의 것은 찾아보기 어려우며 내용 또한 그렇게 의미가 있다고 보기 어려운 단순한 인사말이 주를 이룬다. 실제로 그러한 글은 댓글조차 적다. 반면 암호화폐와 관련된 내용이나 보팅 이벤트 등은 댓글이 확연히 많을 것을 볼 수 있었다. 이를 통해 스팀잇 유저들 특히 스팀고래들은 암호화폐와 보팅 이외의 것은 대체로 관심이 없다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 암호화폐에 관심이 없거나 지식이 없는 유저들은 스팀고래로 성장하는 것이 사실상 불가능하다. 결국 스팀잇에서 스팀고래가 되기 위해서는 암호화폐에 투자하는 것이 가장 확실하고 빠르다. 게임에 현질하는 것과 비슷하다. 게임에서 성장하기 위해 현질을 하는 것처럼 스팀고래로 성장하기 위해 암호화폐에 투자하는 것이다. 물론 시간이 걸릴 뿐 무과금도 성장할 수 있기는 하지만 단순한 글로 스팀고래로 성장하는 것은 어렵다. 적어도 수천, 수만개의 글을 올려야 한다. 요약하자면 스팀잇 활동을 통해 스팀고래가 되고 수익을 얻는게 아니라 먼저 암호화폐 투자를 해서 스팀고래가 되고 스팀잇 활동을 통해 수익을 얻는 것에 가까운 것 같다. 여기서 스팀잇의 특징인 ‘글을 써서 돈을 번다’는 사실상 그 의미를 잃는다.\n 스팀잇은 스팀고래의 도움이 없이는 성장하는 것이 불가능한 환경임에도 스팀고래들이 암호화폐 외엔 관심이 없으니 자연스럽게 암호화폐 이외의 주제는 잘 포스팅되지 않는다. 다른 SNS와 커뮤니티가 다양한 게시판이 있고 다양한 주제의 글이 올라오는 것과 대조적이다. 사실상 SNS가 아닌 암호화폐 갤러리에 가깝다. 만약 스팀잇에서 암호화폐, 여행, 음식 이외의 포스팅을 발견한다면 그 유저는 신규 유저거나 활동이 많지 않은 유저일 것이다. 그리고 그 포스팅은 보팅도 거의 없다. 반면 별 내용도, 재미도, 댓글도 없는데 보팅은 많은 글을 발견한다면 그 글을 올린 유저는 스팀고래이다. 이제 그 사람이 어떤 글을 올리든 빨판상어마냥 붙어있으면서 보팅만 하면 된다. 이게 스팀잇의 현실이다.\n 스팀잇은 분명 매력적인 블록체인 SNS이다. 그러나 수익도, 재미도, 관심도 없는 SNS를 사람들이, 특히 젊은 사람들이 할 것 같지는 않다. 무엇보다 암호화폐 자체가 불확실성이 크다는 점이 가장 큰 이유인 것 같다.  블록체인과 암호화폐를 이해하는데 있어 도움은 되지만 그뿐이다. 느낀 점이 참 많은 1학기 활동이었다.",
