| body | Sooner or later, you will have to decide what level of maintenance your car or truck needs, especially when it comes to parts that wear out regularly. One item that is crucial to your safety are your brakes, and more specifically the brake pads or shoes. The good news is that there are an incredible amount of choices when it comes to brake pads and break shoes, so it should be relatively easy to find ones that suit your car, your wallet and your driving patterns. Method 1 : Choosing the Right Brake Pads and Brake Shoes 1- Choose between bonded and riveted friction material. All brakes need to have a softer friction material attached to the stronger metal backing plate. Brake manufacturers use two methods to attach the friction material to the backing plate: bonding with an adhesive or riveting with high strength rivets. - There’s no clearly superior method for attaching the friction material, but bonding allows the brakes to last slightly longer because as the friction material wears down, the rivets make contact with the brake rotors or drums and squeal a bit when they’re nearly worn out. By the time you hear the squeal of rivets making contact with the rotors or drums during braking, it’s time to change the brakes anyhow. - Bonded brakes wear down to the backing plate which usually ruins your rotors or drums if not changed promptly when the metal to metal grinding sound is heard when applying the brakes. 2- Think about your driving requirements when choosing a brake pad material. Purchasing replacement brake pads or shoes will require you to make a choice about the material they are made from. At this point, you need to determine how severe your braking needs are. Some things to consider include: - How mountainous is your driving? - How hot is the climate you live in? - What are the traffic patterns you travel in? - How tolerant are you to brakes that squeal a bit? - Do you pull a trailer behind your vehicle ? - Do you have to deal with deep puddles in the winter or rainy season? 3- Decide between organic, semi metallic, fully metallic and ceramic break pad materials. Before choosing a brake pad to shoe material, it's important to consider the pros and cons of each. - Organic: Some cars come with brakes which are made from an organic material. This provides good life for the other brake components, but don’t offer superior braking when pulling a trailer or traveling long downhill routes. Additionally, organic brake material does lose a lot of braking capacity when they get wet. - Semi-metallic: A better braking material is called semi-metallic, in which a composite of soft metals are embedded in the friction material which enhances braking . However, this does wear out the rotors or drums a bit faster than the organic materials. - Fully metallic: The next step up in price, quality and braking efficiency is fully metallic brakes which offer great braking in almost any condition, but do wear the rotors/drums faster. - Ceramic: These are more expensive than the other 3 choices but do offer the longest life and best warranty. Ceramic brakes tolerate very high temperatures with very little fading or loss of braking when wet. 4- Opt for semi-metallic brake pads for regular driving. Semi-metallic brake pads tend to be a great all-round choice for commuter vehicles, and they’re very reasonably priced. - Most newer vehicles come with semi-metallic pads or shoes, as these are what car manufacturers recommends. Even vehicle that have rotors made of harder metals tolerate the semi-metallic pads very well. - However, if you regularly use your vehicle for more heavy-duty tasks — such as pulling a trailer up a mountainous path — you may be better off going for higher-end, fully metallic or ceramic brake pads. - In other words, you need to seriously consider your regular driving conditions and how much stress will be placed on the breaks when choosing the right brake pad material — it's a matter of safety. 5- Review the entire break system when replacing the brake pads. It’s always wise to consider the entire brake system when you perform a repair yourself or have it completed by a service shop. - The brake pads can be no more effective than the quality of the rotors they contact and the master/slave cylinders that move the pads in and out to perform their functions. - It’s also wise to flush the old brake fluid out of the hydraulic system when if the vehicle or truck is over 8 years old just to keep the moisture levels low and brakes working at their peak levels. Method 2 : Understanding the Mechanics 1- Learn the difference between brake pads and brake shoes. Brake pads and brake shoes are different from one another. The brake pad is built for disc brakes found on most front axles of cars and trucks. Brake shoes, on the other hand, are built for drum brakes which are often found on the back axles of cars and trucks. The reason behind these two different designs can be found by examining the braking sequence: - When you actuate the brakes of your vehicle, the disc brake pads or brake shoes have to slow down the brake rotors or drums mounted between tire rims and the suspension. The friction of the disc pads squeezing the rotors or pushing the brake shoes outward on the drums in order to slow the vehicle down causes the disk pads or shoes to get really hot. - On long downhill runs, there is a lot more stress placed on the front brakes (and therefore the front brake pads) than on the back brakes. For this reason, a superior braking method is required for the front brakes in order to handle this extra stress. 2- Understand why disc brakes are superior to drum brakes. As mentioned above, the disc brakes located at the front of the vehicle are required to handle more stress than the drum brakes at the rear of the vehicle. As a result, they need to be of a higher quality. - Disc brakes were developed by race car and aircraft designers who wanted to find the best way of slowing down the machine without burning up the brake shoes. They were later introduced to the front axles of commercial vehicles in order to reduce the wear-and-tear on the front brakes. - The rear axle, on the other hand, doesn't have nearly as much force on it during braking, and since brake drums are cheaper and easier to manufacture, these are the more common form of brakes on the rear of most passenger cars and trucks. - However, more modern performance cars and heavy duty trucks usually have disc brakes on both axles (front and rear) because of their superior braking capacity. Disc brakes handle heat a bit better than drum brakes too, which means they still work well when they’re hot. Any braking system can develop fading from heat or water but disc brakes recover from those two issues quicker than drum brakes. |

Some things to consider include:\n- How mountainous is your driving?\n- How hot is the climate you live in?\n- What are the traffic patterns you travel in?\n- How tolerant are you to brakes that squeal a bit?\n- Do you pull a trailer behind your vehicle ?\n- Do you have to deal with deep puddles in the winter or rainy season?\n\n3- Decide between organic, semi metallic, fully metallic and ceramic break pad materials. Before choosing a brake pad to shoe material, it's important to consider the pros and cons of each.\n- Organic: Some cars come with brakes which are made from an organic material. This provides good life for the other brake components, but don’t offer superior braking when pulling a trailer or traveling long downhill routes. Additionally, organic brake material does lose a lot of braking capacity when they get wet. \n\n\n\n- Semi-metallic: A better braking material is called semi-metallic, in which a composite of soft metals are embedded in the friction material which enhances braking . However, this does wear out the rotors or drums a bit faster than the organic materials.\n\n\n- Fully metallic: The next step up in price, quality and braking efficiency is fully metallic brakes which offer great braking in almost any condition, but do wear the rotors/drums faster.\n\n\n- Ceramic: These are more expensive than the other 3 choices but do offer the longest life and best warranty. Ceramic brakes tolerate very high temperatures with very little fading or loss of braking when wet.\n\n\n4- Opt for semi-metallic brake pads for regular driving. Semi-metallic brake pads tend to be a great all-round choice for commuter vehicles, and they’re very reasonably priced.\n- Most newer vehicles come with semi-metallic pads or shoes, as these are what car manufacturers recommends. Even vehicle that have rotors made of harder metals tolerate the semi-metallic pads very well.\n\n\n- However, if you regularly use your vehicle for more heavy-duty tasks — such as pulling a trailer up a mountainous path — you may be better off going for higher-end, fully metallic or ceramic brake pads.\n\n\n- In other words, you need to seriously consider your regular driving conditions and how much stress will be placed on the breaks when choosing the right brake pad material — it's a matter of safety.\n\n\n5- Review the entire break system when replacing the brake pads. It’s always wise to consider the entire brake system when you perform a repair yourself or have it completed by a service shop.\n- The brake pads can be no more effective than the quality of the rotors they contact and the master/slave cylinders that move the pads in and out to perform their functions.\n\n\n- It’s also wise to flush the old brake fluid out of the hydraulic system when if the vehicle or truck is over 8 years old just to keep the moisture levels low and brakes working at their peak levels.\n\n\nMethod 2 : Understanding the Mechanics\n\n1- Learn the difference between brake pads and brake shoes. Brake pads and brake shoes are different from one another. The brake pad is built for disc brakes found on most front axles of cars and trucks. Brake shoes, on the other hand, are built for drum brakes which are often found on the back axles of cars and trucks. The reason behind these two different designs can be found by examining the braking sequence:\n- When you actuate the brakes of your vehicle, the disc brake pads or brake shoes have to slow down the brake rotors or drums mounted between tire rims and the suspension. The friction of the disc pads squeezing the rotors or pushing the brake shoes outward on the drums in order to slow the vehicle down causes the disk pads or shoes to get really hot.\n\n\n- On long downhill runs, there is a lot more stress placed on the front brakes (and therefore the front brake pads) than on the back brakes. For this reason, a superior braking method is required for the front brakes in order to handle this extra stress.\n\n\n2- Understand why disc brakes are superior to drum brakes. As mentioned above, the disc brakes located at the front of the vehicle are required to handle more stress than the drum brakes at the rear of the vehicle. As a result, they need to be of a higher quality.\n- Disc brakes were developed by race car and aircraft designers who wanted to find the best way of slowing down the machine without burning up the brake shoes. They were later introduced to the front axles of commercial vehicles in order to reduce the wear-and-tear on the front brakes.\n\n\n- The rear axle, on the other hand, doesn't have nearly as much force on it during braking, and since brake drums are cheaper and easier to manufacture, these are the more common form of brakes on the rear of most passenger cars and trucks.\n\n\n- However, more modern performance cars and heavy duty trucks usually have disc brakes on both axles (front and rear) because of their superior braking capacity. Disc brakes handle heat a bit better than drum brakes too, which means they still work well when they’re hot. Any braking system can develop fading from heat or water but disc brakes recover from those two issues quicker than drum brakes.\n",

| body | There is no guaranteed way to know if a person truly loves you, but there are a few signs to read in order to figure out what is on the mind of your loved one. If you would like to know if the person you love truly loves you back, then you have to pay attention on how the person acts, what they say, and what they do when you are together. Though love may mean something different to every person, there are many ways to tell if a person truly loves you, just has a crush on you or just being momentarily infatuated with you. Method 1 : Notice How the Person Acts 1- See if the person can act naturally around you. Part of being in love means being completely open to the other person. If you find yourself seeing a whole different side that the person doesn't show the public, then that may be love. For instance, if your partner is pretty serious or polite in public, but shows a more goofy and silly side when you're alone, then s/he is really opening up to you and loves you. - If the person shares his or her deepest emotions with you and is comfortable with it, then that is love. - If the person is comfortable not looking perfect, tripping, or having food stuck in his or her teeth around you, that means s/he is okay if you see every side of him or her. 2- Gauge if the person is happy to be around you. This should be true even during a bad day. If your loved one has had a very bad day but lights up when s/he sees you, then that's a sign of love. If s/he is in love with you, then the sight of you or the sound of your voice is guaranteed to make him or her feel better — if only a little bit. -The next time s/he is grumpy or has a bad day, see how s/he reacts in your presence. 3- Notice if the person gives you googly eyes. Though this may be silly, check out your loved one's face the next time you see him or her. Does s/he look at you in a goofy, watery, silly and adorable way that can only be described as "googly-eyed"? You will know it when you see it. You won't get this look all the time — you can spot it in the morning, or randomly across the dinner table. You may also be able to catch the person staring at you with the same expression. 4- See if the person is giddy around you. Love makes people feel giddy, weightless, and like laughing for no reason at all. If you see the person acting this way in your presence, then this may be love. Does your loved one seem hyper, excited, and on the verge of laughing for almost no reason at all whenever s/he is around you? If so, then this may be love. - If you've said something barely funny and the person cracks up, then s/he may be lovesick. - If the person shows nervous energy or fidgets around a lot around you, then s/he may just be excited by your presence. 5 - Ask yourself if the person is upset when you are. If you are suffering unbelievable emotional pain or are just bummed because you have the flu, then this should rub off on the person who loves you. If s/he truly loves you, then s/he'll absorb some of your negative emotions and will be very upset because s/he'll want you to feel better as soon as you can. - Though s/he doesn't have to be as upset as you are, the person should clearly be affected by your mood because all s/he wants is for you to be happy. Method 2 : Notice What The Person Says 1 Notice if the person talks positively about your future together. If the person really loves you, then the idea of you being in his or her future is an absolute given, not something that he or she would ever have anxiety or uncertainty about. If the person routinely talks about what you're going to do in the future, about what your lives will look like one, two, or even ten years in the future together, then s/he is probably in love with you. - True commitment means seeing a forever with another person. If the person talks about the future and always includes you in it, then there is a good chance s/he truly loves you. - If the person talks about what your kids will look like, where you will retire together, or where you will go for your honeymoon, then s/he may really love you. 2- See if the person gives you meaningful compliments. There's a difference between saying, "I like your new haircut" and "You have the ability to make me feel better no matter what." If the person gives you compliments that show that s/he really appreciates the important aspects of your character and personality, then there's a good chance s/he really loves you. - Your loved one doesn't have to shower you with compliments all the time — it's the quality, not the quantity, that makes a difference. 3- Determine if the person means every "I love you." Remember that there is a big difference between "Love ya!" and "I love you." If your special someone really loves you and tells you this much while looking into your eyes, sounding earnest, and not wanting anything from you, then it's likely that s/he really means it. - If the person undeniably loves you, then s/he will say it for no reason at all, not just because s/he needs a favor or because it feels like the right thing to say. 4- See if the person really opens up to you. If your loved one really loves you, then they will really open up to you and tell you what they are thinking, feeling, fearing, and longing for. If the person really opens up about their childhood, greatest regrets, most painful moments, or most romantic dreams for the future, then it's likely that they like you because the person is so comfortable telling you about almost everything. - If the person tells you, "I've never told anyone this before..." then there's a good chance that s/he really loves and trusts you. 5- Expect to be missed when apart. If you and your loved one are apart, but s/he still texts you, calls you, or emails you to let you know how much s/he misses you, then it means s/he can't imagine his or her life without you. If you go on a three-week vacation and don't hear a word from him or her, then it may not be love. - S/he doesn't have to call you constantly to let you know if she/he misses you. 6- Hope to have your mistakes corrected. If that person truly loves you, then s/he doesn't have an idealized picture of you in his or her mind. If it's truly love, then that person will be comfortable with telling you when you've made a mistake, said something illogical, or acted badly. Though the person shouldn't criticize you all the time, giving you a healthy amount of criticism just means that the person really knows you in and out and accepts your mistakes as well as your best qualities. - If the person never argues with you or never criticizes you, then you should be on the look out. Make sure that the person truly loves you instead of an ideal version of who you are. 7- See if the person truly values your opinion. If the person truly loves you, then s/he'll care about what you think — whether it's about his or her new pair of shoes or the political situation in your country. If s/he really loves you, s/he will ask for your advice and opinions, whether it's on big or small matters. S/he may feel self-conscious about asking for your opinion, but s/he'll do it because s/he loves you. - S/he doesn't have to ask for your opinion on everything — only the things that really matter. Method 3 : Notice What the Person Does 1- Hope to be listened to. If the person really loves you, then s/he'll not only open up to you, but s/he'll also listen to anything you have to say — even if s/he's heard it all before. Though s/he won't be your lapdog, s/he will be around to hear your thoughts. S/he will nod and respond thoughtfully and not interrupt instead of switching the subject to something s/he wants to talk about. - Part of being in love is just being able to listen. It's not all about being able to talk. 2- See if the person is always there for you. This includes those times when it's inconvenient. Sure, if you want to grab a drink or a tasty meal, the person is always around, but what about when you need a ride from the airport or you need someone to walk your dog while you're sick? If the person truly loves you, then s/he'll be there for you during the fun times as well as the not-so-fun times. - If the person is only around when you're happy, lighthearted, or in a good mood, but flees the scene as soon as you are sad or cranky, then that is not love. - Love is about being there for a person, no matter what. Truly loving a person means accepting all the positive and negative qualities of that person, and being around during the good times and the bad. 3 Consider the nice things done for you. If the person truly loves you, then s/he'll do thoughtful things like put gas in your car when you're busy, do your food shopping for you, or bring you chicken soup when you're home sick. These favors don't have to be constant or over-the-top, but if the person truly loves you, then s/he'll want to do things to make you smile and to make your life easier. - True love isn't just about what you can take from the person, but what you can give as well. - If the person really loves you, then s/he will do nice things for you without you having to ask. It should be implied that you need a favor or help sometimes. If you have to ask for something nice every time, then that may not be true love. 4- See if the person always wants to be around you. Part of being in love is always wanting to be around the person you love, even if it's impractical. If the person truly loves you, then he or she will want to be around you — a lot. This doesn't mean the person will want to be attached at the hip, but it does mean that the person will try to take as many opportunities as possible to see you. 5- Let them give you space. If the person truly loves you, then s/he'll not only want to be around you a lot, but s/he will also know when to give you space and let you do your own thing. If the person wants to be around you all the time, then that's not love — it's infatuation. As love matures, two people will realize that they still need to do things separate to maintain their own identities. - If the person wants to be around you every waking moment, then that may be more of a sign of that person's insecurities than true love. 6- Determine if the person truly understands you. True love is true understanding. Though it sounds lame, the person should really "get" you in order to love you. If the person actually understands your moods, knows what you want and what you don't want, and has an idea of what will make you happy before you may know it yourself, then that may be true love. - It's okay if part of you remains mysterious to the person — you don't have to be understood 100%, but you do have to have the sense that the other person truly understands where you're coming from most of the time. 7- See if the person wants the best for you. This should be true even if it isn't the best for him or her. If a person truly loves you, then s/he will understand that there are some things that you have to do that may not be the best for him or her, or may mean that you will be spending some time apart. If s/he truly loves you, then s/he will understand that you have to spend a summer on a remote island to pursue your career in marine biology, or that you have to go home early to get enough sleep for a test instead of spending the night with him or her. - If the person only wants what's best for both of you at all times, then s/he is not really seeing you as a unique individual with your own needs and desires. 8- Look for support. If s/he really loves you, then s/he will not only be there for the fun times — s/he'll also be there to help you achieve your goals and move forward in your life. If s/he truly loves you, then s/he'll be there in the bleachers during your soccer game, s/he'll be there to see you defend your thesis, and s/he'll be there to give you a ride to your job interview. And s/he'll be there whenever you want to talk about something that means a lot to you. - If s/he really loves you, then s/he will support you to achieve your goals or pursue your interests, even if they have nothing to do with him or her. |

"body": "There is no guaranteed way to know if a person truly loves you, but there are a few signs to read in order to figure out what is on the mind of your loved one. If you would like to know if the person you love truly loves you back, then you have to pay attention on how the person acts, what they say, and what they do when you are together. Though love may mean something different to every person, there are many ways to tell if a person truly loves you, just has a crush on you or just being momentarily infatuated with you.\n\nMethod 1 : Notice How the Person Acts\n\n\n1- See if the person can act naturally around you. Part of being in love means being completely open to the other person. If you find yourself seeing a whole different side that the person doesn't show the public, then that may be love. For instance, if your partner is pretty serious or polite in public, but shows a more goofy and silly side when you're alone, then s/he is really opening up to you and loves you.\n - If the person shares his or her deepest emotions with you and is comfortable with it, then that is love.\n - If the person is comfortable not looking perfect, tripping, or having food stuck in his or her teeth around you, that means s/he is okay if you see every side of him or her.\n\n\n2- Gauge if the person is happy to be around you. This should be true even during a bad day. If your loved one has had a very bad day but lights up when s/he sees you, then that's a sign of love. If s/he is in love with you, then the sight of you or the sound of your voice is guaranteed to make him or her feel better — if only a little bit.\n\n-The next time s/he is grumpy or has a bad day, see how s/he reacts in your presence.\n\n\n3- Notice if the person gives you googly eyes. Though this may be silly, check out your loved one's face the next time you see him or her. Does s/he look at you in a goofy, watery, silly and adorable way that can only be described as \"googly-eyed\"? You will know it when you see it. You won't get this look all the time — you can spot it in the morning, or randomly across the dinner table.\n\nYou may also be able to catch the person staring at you with the same expression.\n\n\n4- See if the person is giddy around you. Love makes people feel giddy, weightless, and like laughing for no reason at all. If you see the person acting this way in your presence, then this may be love. Does your loved one seem hyper, excited, and on the verge of laughing for almost no reason at all whenever s/he is around you? If so, then this may be love.\n\n- If you've said something barely funny and the person cracks up, then s/he may be lovesick.\n- If the person shows nervous energy or fidgets around a lot around you, then s/he may just be excited by your presence.\n\n\n5 - Ask yourself if the person is upset when you are. If you are suffering unbelievable emotional pain or are just bummed because you have the flu, then this should rub off on the person who loves you. If s/he truly loves you, then s/he'll absorb some of your negative emotions and will be very upset because s/he'll want you to feel better as soon as you can.\n\n- Though s/he doesn't have to be as upset as you are, the person should clearly be affected by your mood because all s/he wants is for you to be happy.\n\n\nMethod 2 : Notice What The Person Says\n\n\n1 Notice if the person talks positively about your future together. If the person really loves you, then the idea of you being in his or her future is an absolute given, not something that he or she would ever have anxiety or uncertainty about. If the person routinely talks about what you're going to do in the future, about what your lives will look like one, two, or even ten years in the future together, then s/he is probably in love with you.\n\n- True commitment means seeing a forever with another person. If the person talks about the future and always includes you in it, then there is a good chance s/he truly loves you.\n- If the person talks about what your kids will look like, where you will retire together, or where you will go for your honeymoon, then s/he may really love you.\n\n\n2- See if the person gives you meaningful compliments. There's a difference between saying, \"I like your new haircut\" and \"You have the ability to make me feel better no matter what.\" If the person gives you compliments that show that s/he really appreciates the important aspects of your character and personality, then there's a good chance s/he really loves you.\n\n- Your loved one doesn't have to shower you with compliments all the time — it's the quality, not the quantity, that makes a difference.\n\n\n3- Determine if the person means every \"I love you.\" Remember that there is a big difference between \"Love ya!\" and \"I love you.\" If your special someone really loves you and tells you this much while looking into your eyes, sounding earnest, and not wanting anything from you, then it's likely that s/he really means it.\n\n- If the person undeniably loves you, then s/he will say it for no reason at all, not just because s/he needs a favor or because it feels like the right thing to say.\n\n\n4- See if the person really opens up to you. If your loved one really loves you, then they will really open up to you and tell you what they are thinking, feeling, fearing, and longing for. If the person really opens up about their childhood, greatest regrets, most painful moments, or most romantic dreams for the future, then it's likely that they like you because the person is so comfortable telling you about almost everything.\n\n- If the person tells you, \"I've never told anyone this before...\" then there's a good chance that s/he really loves and trusts you.\n\n\n5- Expect to be missed when apart. If you and your loved one are apart, but s/he still texts you, calls you, or emails you to let you know how much s/he misses you, then it means s/he can't imagine his or her life without you. If you go on a three-week vacation and don't hear a word from him or her, then it may not be love.\n\n- S/he doesn't have to call you constantly to let you know if she/he misses you.\n\n\n6- Hope to have your mistakes corrected. If that person truly loves you, then s/he doesn't have an idealized picture of you in his or her mind. If it's truly love, then that person will be comfortable with telling you when you've made a mistake, said something illogical, or acted badly. Though the person shouldn't criticize you all the time, giving you a healthy amount of criticism just means that the person really knows you in and out and accepts your mistakes as well as your best qualities.\n\n- If the person never argues with you or never criticizes you, then you should be on the look out. Make sure that the person truly loves you instead of an ideal version of who you are.\n\n\n7- See if the person truly values your opinion. If the person truly loves you, then s/he'll care about what you think — whether it's about his or her new pair of shoes or the political situation in your country. If s/he really loves you, s/he will ask for your advice and opinions, whether it's on big or small matters. S/he may feel self-conscious about asking for your opinion, but s/he'll do it because s/he loves you.\n\n- S/he doesn't have to ask for your opinion on everything — only the things that really matter.\n\nMethod 3 : Notice What the Person Does\n\n\n1- Hope to be listened to. If the person really loves you, then s/he'll not only open up to you, but s/he'll also listen to anything you have to say — even if s/he's heard it all before. Though s/he won't be your lapdog, s/he will be around to hear your thoughts. S/he will nod and respond thoughtfully and not interrupt instead of switching the subject to something s/he wants to talk about.\n\n- Part of being in love is just being able to listen. It's not all about being able to talk.\n\n\n2- See if the person is always there for you. This includes those times when it's inconvenient. Sure, if you want to grab a drink or a tasty meal, the person is always around, but what about when you need a ride from the airport or you need someone to walk your dog while you're sick? If the person truly loves you, then s/he'll be there for you during the fun times as well as the not-so-fun times.\n\n- If the person is only around when you're happy, lighthearted, or in a good mood, but flees the scene as soon as you are sad or cranky, then that is not love.\n- Love is about being there for a person, no matter what. Truly loving a person means accepting all the positive and negative qualities of that person, and being around during the good times and the bad.\n\n\n3\nConsider the nice things done for you. If the person truly loves you, then s/he'll do thoughtful things like put gas in your car when you're busy, do your food shopping for you, or bring you chicken soup when you're home sick. These favors don't have to be constant or over-the-top, but if the person truly loves you, then s/he'll want to do things to make you smile and to make your life easier.\n\n- True love isn't just about what you can take from the person, but what you can give as well.\n- If the person really loves you, then s/he will do nice things for you without you having to ask. It should be implied that you need a favor or help sometimes. If you have to ask for something nice every time, then that may not be true love.\n\n\n4- See if the person always wants to be around you. Part of being in love is always wanting to be around the person you love, even if it's impractical. If the person truly loves you, then he or she will want to be around you — a lot. This doesn't mean the person will want to be attached at the hip, but it does mean that the person will try to take as many opportunities as possible to see you. \n\n\n5- Let them give you space. If the person truly loves you, then s/he'll not only want to be around you a lot, but s/he will also know when to give you space and let you do your own thing. If the person wants to be around you all the time, then that's not love — it's infatuation. As love matures, two people will realize that they still need to do things separate to maintain their own identities.\n\n- If the person wants to be around you every waking moment, then that may be more of a sign of that person's insecurities than true love.\n\n\n6- Determine if the person truly understands you. True love is true understanding. Though it sounds lame, the person should really \"get\" you in order to love you. If the person actually understands your moods, knows what you want and what you don't want, and has an idea of what will make you happy before you may know it yourself, then that may be true love.\n\n- It's okay if part of you remains mysterious to the person — you don't have to be understood 100%, but you do have to have the sense that the other person truly understands where you're coming from most of the time.\n\n\n7- See if the person wants the best for you. This should be true even if it isn't the best for him or her. If a person truly loves you, then s/he will understand that there are some things that you have to do that may not be the best for him or her, or may mean that you will be spending some time apart. If s/he truly loves you, then s/he will understand that you have to spend a summer on a remote island to pursue your career in marine biology, or that you have to go home early to get enough sleep for a test instead of spending the night with him or her.\n\n- If the person only wants what's best for both of you at all times, then s/he is not really seeing you as a unique individual with your own needs and desires.\n\n\n8- Look for support. And s/he'll be there whenever you want to talk about something that means a lot to you.\n\n- If s/he really loves you, then s/he will support you to achieve your goals or pursue your interests, even if they have nothing to do with him or her.",

| body | Traveling is an exciting opportunity to visit new places, study different cultures, and try new foods. Unfortunately, the stress of flying is often a deterrent that keeps people from traveling. Although you are much more likely to be in a car wreck than a place crash, around a quarter of the population is affected by anxiety about flying. Travel jitters can affect someone in small ways, through and upset stomach or difficulty sleeping, or drastically, crippling their ability to even book a flight. However, focusing on proper pre-travel planning and learning some helpful calming techniques can help anyone ease anxiety over traveling. part 1 : Preparing Mentally 1- Recognize your triggers. Fear of flying stems from multiple sources. Does it make you feel claustrophobic? Do you stress over lack of control? Are you fine until the plane hits turbulence? Is the anticipation of the flight worse than the flight itself? Once you acknowledge the cause of your travel jitters you can begin finding methods to help prevent it. 2- Practice deep breathing exercises. Once you book your flight, begin learning calming breathing techniques. The more you’re able to practice these exercises, the easier they will be to use when travel jitters strike. A good exercise for beginners is abdominal breathing. Practice for ten minutes every day, a good time is right when you wake up and your mind is still calm. For added benefit, whenever you encounter a stressful experience, an important work meeting or a 3-hour pot roast burns, practice the breathing exercise. This will give you the opportunity to feel the helpful benefits before the pressure of flying! - Place one hand on your belly and one on your chest. - Breath in through your nose, expanding your diaphragm, for a count of five. (Your chest should not rise during your breath.) - Breath out through our mouth for a count of five. Focus on pushing all the air out of your lungs. - Repeat 6-10 times. 3 - Learn to meditate. Travel jitters generally come from a mental, rather than a physical fear. Meditation focuses on overcoming those fears or anxieties. Through meditation you can learn to recognize and move past those anxieties. There are multiple forms of mediation but two that may be most beneficial to overcome travel jitters are mindfulness and visualization. Both are best practiced through finding a class or downloading a class from the internet. - Mindfulness. Practicing mindfulness is about learning to live in the present moment. It does not banish travel jitters, but rather helps you acknowledge and move past these feelings. - Visualization. Often, when you find yourself in a situation that causes panic, it can be helpful to visualize yourself in a different location. So when you sit down on the plane and begin to feel anxious, visualization can help you escape the immediate fear by placing your mind in a safer “happy place.” part 2 : Preparing Physically 1- Make a pre-travel checklist. Once you’ve packed, go back through everything and double check that you have all the necessities. You don’t want to be on your way to the airport and realize you forgot your wallet! The length and location of your trip will affect your list, but here are a few necessities to help get you started. Once you’ve ensured you have everything you need, set it together by the door so you will not forget it when you leave the next day. - purse/wallet - phone charger - passport and foreign currency (if traveling out of the country) - appropriate clothes and shoes for your destination - medications - ticket (if possible do an early, online check-in to avoid standing in an extra line the day of) 2 - Put together an airplane bag. Look up the travel time and have a plan to stay distracted during the flight. Reading a book, doing puzzles, or watching a movie are all great ways to stay busy. Make sure you consider time during take-off and landing (often some of the most stressful moments in flight) when you can’t use electronics! 3- Set an alarm. If you have an early flight, allow yourself plenty of time to get up, organized, and to the airport. If your flight isn’t until later in the day, set an alarm to remind yourself when it is time to leave. Remember, for most domestic flights you should try to arrive at least 60 minutes, if you’re not checking baggage, and 90 minutes, if you are. For international flights you should arrive at least 2 hours early. [6] If you are driving yourself, add an extra 30 minutes to your travel time, as parking is often a shuttle-ride away from the airport. 4- Finalize your travel plans to the airport. Is a friend driving you? Send a text to confirm the time. Taking a cab? Call and order one the night before. Driving yourself? Make sure your car has enough gas. Part 3 : Traveling Stress-Free 1- Follow your normal morning routine. Drink a cup of tea, make your bed, or do some simple stretches. Whatever your normal routine, the more you’re able to stick to it on travel day the less stressful the day will seem. Just try your best to avoid extra caffeine as it increases feelings of anxiety. 2- Use the restroom. About 10 minutes before your boarding time try to use the restroom. After you get on the plane there will likely be at least 30 minutes before the plane is in the air and you’re free to walk around the cabin. Additionally, if your anxiety over travelling stems from a fear of enclosed places, not having to use the small aircraft restroom will take an extra stress off your mind. 3- Talk to people. Mention your anxiety to the flight attendant or have a conversation with the person seated next to you. Don’t let the conversation spiral into a discussion about all the terrors of flying, but just having someone that knows how you’re feeling can be enough to keep travel jitters away. Remember 25 percent of people have some fear of flying and talking to those around you on the flight can help create a support group to help you through the flight. 4- Practice calmness. Now is the perfect time to use the breathing and meditation techniques you’ve been working on! Remember deep abdominal breathing and whichever meditation technique you have been studying. Focus yourself as soon as you get on the plane and then at any point when you begin to feel jittery. Don’t wait until you’re feeling overwhelmed. The best way to deal with travel jitters is to keep them from happening! 5- Read a book. After you get settled on the plane get out a book and start reading. Find an interesting book before your flight, something by an author you know you enjoy. Begin the book a few days before the flight, stopping a few chapters in, preferably at a cliffhanger or plot twist. Then when you start reading during the flight you’re already into the story and more likely to keep your attention. 6- Listen to music. New regulations allow you to use small electronics during take-off and landing. Once the plane starts taxiing to the runway, take out your smartphone, iPod, or small tablet. Before flying download a new album from your favorite artist or put together a playlist of your favorite songs and listen to it during takeoff. Having headphones in will block out any noise from the plane during takeoff and help you feel more relaxed. 7- Watch a movie. Once the flight gets going you’re able to take out your laptop. An engrossing two hour movie is a great way to use the majority of your flight time. If possible, pick a movie you’ve never seen before that has been on your “must watch” list for a while, or chose one of your favorites that you know will make you laugh. 7- Watch a movie. Find an interesting book before your flight, something by an author you know you enjoy. Begin the book a few days before the flight, stopping a few chapters in, preferably at a cliffhanger or plot twist. Then when you start reading during the flight you’re already into the story and more likely to keep your attention.\n\n\n6- Listen to music. \n\n\n7- Watch a movie. Once the flight gets going you’re able to take out your laptop. An engrossing two hour movie is a great way to use the majority of your flight time. If possible, pick a movie you’ve never seen before that has been on your “must watch” list for a while, or chose one of your favorites that you know will make you laugh. \n\n\n7- Watch a movie.
