      "body": "“デジタル・アーカイブ・ジャパン” ―国が進めている知的財産戦略だ。\n分野・地域を超えて、日本の知識を集約する「分野横断統合ポータル」を構築し、様々な用途でオープンなデジタルアーカイブが利活用される社会を目指しているらしい。\n\n要は、書籍（国立国会図書館）、公文書（国立公文書館）、文化財（文化庁、国立美術館、国立文化財機構）、メディア芸術（文化庁、映像産業振興機構）、自然史・理工学（国立科学博物館）、人文学（人間文化研究機構）、放送番組（日本放送協会、放送番組センター）… といった様々な分野の機関が持つデータベースのメタデータを、ひとつにまとめるらしい。\n\n![archive-1850170_1280.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmY6tGRvCBuXDU5EGjBWjcwEBtGUqFhFVyoTDW2HvMvAG3/archive-1850170_1280.jpg)\n\n「ジャパンサーチ」（仮称とのことだが）という、なんともダサいネーミングだけれど、やろうとしていることは、とても意味があると思う。\n\nそう思って先日、この取り組みの説明会に参加したのだけれど、中身を知って、かなり残念に思うところがあったので、ここにそれを書いてみようと思う。\n\n### データモデルがリレーショナル？？\n\n登録されるデータは、あらかじめ検討されたフォーマットで登録するようだ。\nデータモデルはリレーショナルで本当に良いのか。あらゆる日本の知識を集約するのに、そういう決まった形式に落とし込めるのか。ここには、いろいろなモデルのデータが集まるべきではないのか。2020年に完成して、その後どんどんエンハンスしていく予定らしいが、リレーショナルモデルだと根本的な部分がそもそも変更できない気がする。\n\n\n### データ登録は各機関が手動で行う？？\n\nデータの登録は、データベースを持っている各機関が、ブラウザ上でファイルをアップロードして行うようだ。\nいったい何のインセンティブで、時間をかけてここに手動で登録するのか。一応、データを持っているけど公開するサーバーがないという機関向けに、公開ポータルを提供するということが謳われている。しかし、今の時代、無料で公開できるサービスはたくさんある。パブリックで非営利なデータであればなおさらだ。そもそも前提がおかしい。\n\nデータが登録されるのを受動的に待つのではなく、ジャパンサーチ（仮称）の方から、データを取りに行くべきではないだろうか。作るのに時間はかかるかも知れないけれど、スクレイピングの技術で実現はできるだろう。集めて、集約して、活用する。その集める部分が他人任せだと、ただただ機が熟すのを待つだけのサービスになる気がしてしまう。\n\n\n### ユースケースのためのユースケース？？\n\nこの活動の中で、このポータルを利用して何ができるのかのサンプルを作成するらしい。それというのも、日本の文化など特定の主題を紹介するキュレーションページと、コンテンツに解説をつけて公開できる「電子展示会」と呼ばれるサービスを作るらしい。\n\nいまいち、腑に落ちない。何故だろう。こういったサービスは既にあって、そこに何か問題があるからこのポータルを作るのだろうが、それがいまいちはっきりしない。特定の主題に沿った紹介ページなら、既に今ある各データベースを利用すればよいだろう。クリエイティブ・コモンズ表記を各コンテンツにつけることが、ポータルの目的なのだろうか。だとしても、ブログのようなサービスを作る意味は、いまひとつわからない。\n\n\n#### さいごに\n\nと、いくつか書いたけれど、活動自体に期待はしている。ありとあらゆるコンテンツのメタ情報が、API で取れるようになれば、その先には広大なデジタルコレクティブルの世界が広がっている気がする。この先、一般利用者からフィードバックする機会があるようなので、ぜひ要望を伝えたい。これをどう活用できるのかは、検討を重ねるべきだと思うし、そういった場があれば参加したい。\n\nこの先、目指すはワールドサーチ。\n\n![gallery-2948052_1280.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmNrNisMqVFvjY7TgLGQzdqhqqkSEWmRFBTJjJ2CV5jaMH/gallery-2948052_1280.jpg)",
