What a ride it's been already!\n\nTo be honest I haven't made extraordinary amounts of profit yet, since I never had too much money to invest in the first place. On the other hand my newby mistakes also cut into my profits, but there's no doubt the lessons learned during this period will be inestimable in value for the future. \n\nThe last few weeks I've witnessed my portfolio growing as it never did before. Accumulating and holding Stratis was the main thing i did the last 6 months in cryptospace. Even though i could see myself missing out on profits in bullruns of other altcoins, the believe was always there that this coin was going to be big (even bigger then it already was in June). \n\n![rsz_1stratis_logo_gradient.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXogzAiV8kgMEQjxnQM8QPjUWnnRzRWfdWpNMDN3RcriL/rsz_1stratis_logo_gradient.png)\n\nNow the last few weeks, there's been an unseen cash flow into the whole crypto market, bitcoin keeps reaching new all time highs every week and as in most cases in cryptospace, if btc goes up, many other alts will rise with it. Stratis is no exception. After a long bear period, the Strat/btc trend seemed to reverse. But after a 20 day bullrun, rather too soon, Stratis slowed down on its parabolical run and my mind wont let me settle and sit out this ride. \n\nI can't just sit around and see other coins going up while stratis keeps hanging at former tops. As anyone can predict,  coins can either go up or down when at previous all time highs. I've got no idea which scenario is more likely to happen. Therefore I decided to secure a part of my profit and sell of half of my stratis holdings and buy into 2 other coins.\n\nDespite the presence of numerous profitable coins, It's still a hard thing to find a coin you can buy into without having any regrets later on. You know we people don't just want to experience good bull runs. We want the best possible way to grow our money. Everyone wants to find the coins with most potential, but most coins being traded with high volume have already fulfilled a part of their potential. \n\nWho am I to call tops or dips anyway. You could be weighing all the pro's and con's on each coin but I'm way too lazy for that. Plus even with all the information being provided by all forums on the internet or all advice early bitcoin adopters can give you on youtube, the market will still do I'ts own thing.\n\nStill in the end you want to make a call, so I've decided to split up my current portfolio into 3 coins. Keeping my money only in Stratis could make me a fortune, but this strategy would also be risky. What if there will be no other bullrun for at least a few months? The fear of missing out in other coins' profits would be a pain.\n\nSo after contemplating for a while, having picked up some signs, I've chosen 2 coins, Request Network and Cardano. I'm planning on keeping at least 80% of these for the long run as I believe that trading a lot on short term basis is not as profitable as just hodling.       "body": "Hi fellow Steemians just a random story here,\n\nThis saturday on the first of july I had planned to go attend a local workshop in electronic music production.  Take in mind that this was totally free.\nI'd heard about this event on facebook where one of my friends had taken interest in it. It took my immediate attention since I spend quite a decent amount of time trying to produce music. \n\nHowever somehow the idea of going there initially came of as scary. But as I shared the event with some friends I got some reaction and eventually 4 friends were ready to join. (Later on only 1 of them happened to be present after the rough night we had the day before.)\n\nThe workshop took place in a local youth bar in the afternoon somewhere around my area. I caught up with this friend, went to the youth bar. There were only 3 guys, one of which would leave in 10 minutes. So when we arrived it seemed that nobody  really had showed up yet, even though the workshop started 3 hours ago.  Anyways, they were happy to see people showing up and at first they even thought we were only passing by to grab a beer.\n\nVery soon the 2 guys came to realize we were there actually there with no expectations whatsoever just hoping that we could maybe learn something new or pick up some idea's. They honestly said that they didn't have any idea that anyone would show up, but they were happy to share what they had to offer. They had brought their music equipment to showcase, explain what it offered. \n\nOne of them asked if I brought any of my own stuff so I took out my laptop, turned on some of my latest project. While it was playing on some nice monitors they immediately corrected some of learner's mistakes. \nI made some key improvements that maybe I could have figure out myself someday down the road... but heck these guys were teaching me so much value lessons in such a short period of time. The lessons they had to learn themselves from years practicing, reviewing, playing on gigs, while constantly making these mistakes and learning from them. \n\nThey were excited and ready to share their knowledge and experience gathered through years of playing around, with such joy, just in the hope that their thoughts can be anyone of help.\n\nI really felt happy that day going home, knowing that I could've missed out on an opportunity like this. I'm feeling that it's not only me thinking of these events as if there are people judging you somehow. Maybe some other people had the same initial fear I had. If you think you might learn something that might help you achieve your dreams. Just give it a shot. You never know what might happen. Best case you learn something out of it make some new connections, worst case scenario you lose some of your precious time (oh no..).  I will certainly be doing this more often!\n\nJust explore people! There's always people in your area who'll have the same interests as you and are ready to talk about it! Sometimes you only need a little push in the back from some likeminded people when you're trying to achieve something that is not evident. Just wait for the right opportunity, or maybe try to engage in taking action yourself! The act of trying to improve will leave you a better, happier person than when you woke up. \n\nHope you get something out of it! Peace!",
