| body | Cholesterol is combined with protein in the liver to form lipoproteins. As the lipoproteins pass thru the liver in an ongoing process, they are more and more enriched with protein so in the end they are high-density lipoprotein or HDL. Several factors affect this process. Genetics dictate to a large degree how efficient your liver is at this function, and the range of that scale is astounding. If you're overweight, fatty deposits form on the liver and impede its function. If you take in hepatotoxic substances like some medications including acetaminophen, statins and some antibiotics, the liver is impaired for a while and risks permanent damage, or substances the body recognizes as toxic, such as nicotine and alcohols (of which ethanol is the least toxic) which the liver must priorize and put the lipoprotein conversion on hold while it filters out the toxins. |

| body | So party close attention. So a bunch of Sunni Muslims attack a fictitious Christian country we'll call "Country A" and kill 3,000 of their citizens. They're from a fictitious place we'll call "Country "S". So, you feeble-minded tree mongers would conclude that Country A should declare war on Country S, right ? God, you're so naïve. Thank God there's politicians to figure this out ! Now Country S has been feuding with the leader of a fictitious place we'll call "Country B". Because while Country B has a majority Sunni population, its leader is Shi'a and is suppressing the majority. Even worse than Mexicans terrorizing decent White people, but I digress. So Country S would desperately love to depose this leader, but they don't want to get their hands dirty. After all, they're still Muslim brothers in jihad against porcine Christians. So Country S convinces Country A to go to war with Country B under the guise of revenge for the terror attack actually promulgated by Country S. Meanwhile, Country B's neighbor, a fictitious place we'll call "Country P" used to be friends with Country A, but then the puppet despot supported by Country A became finally too oppressive and self-serving and wad toppled in a revolution. This upset Country A quite a bit and they decided to install a new puppet leader in neighboring Country B to help them fight against Country P. While previously County A was helping Country P in its conflict with Country B, now it's helping Country B against Country P. Country P has a majority Shi'a Muslim population and thus antagonistic toward Country S, but while they share the same religion as Country B, the population is of a different ethnic group and this explains the animosity. So Country P is still at war with Country B because of their majority Sunni population despite the fact that the leader is a fellow Shi'a and is disenfranchising those darn Sunnis. So Country A invades Country B and kills its leader. So this pleases Country S but pisses off Country P majorly because now the hated Sunnis are in charge there. So Country P starts trash talking Country A. Now enter a fictitious place we'll call "Country L". Their religion is sorta the same as Country A but they hate Muslims and Muslims hate them. Country L is one of Country A's closest allies and desperately wants Country A to smash Country P and Country S. But Country S is also a close ally, despite the fact that they bombed Country A in the first place. Country S also wants Country A to smack down Country P and Country L. Country A is pretty sure they now have a good reason to invade Country P. Of course, that means obliterating two countries which had nothing to do with the original bombing attack. But you know, In this fictitious place nobody can keep their penises in their pants, so "Country Y" and "Country D" both start civil wars. Country D receives support from Country U, which is a long-standing enemy of Country A but neither of them want to go to actual war with each other, so they make this civil war a proxy war just like in "Country K" years ago. So Country A decides to throw its support behind the rebels (aka "freedom fighters") and hope it goes better than it did with Country K where the freedom fighters installed an even more oppressive government than they were replacing and Countries N and C where the rebels won DESPITE the efforts of Country A supporting the government. Country Y is a piddly little place that used to be two countries because they had a divided population, again half Shi'a and half Sunni, but a few years ago the two mortal enemies decided to reunite the country which obviously didn't work out very well (qv penises). Country A, still reeling from defeat of their albeit marginal efforts to restore peace in nearby Countries E and F, won't even mount a marginal effort there, also because their great friends, the bombers of Country S want Country A to stay out of Country Y. So the question is; whom should Country A invade next to keep their well-oiled industrial military machine humming along ? Oh look, Country G ! Bonus: they're on the other side of the world, but their neighbor and protector, Country X, has been Country A's friend after Country A dumped their former staunch ally Country T which is the sworn enemy of Country X, but Country O is the sworn enemy of both Country X and Country G, but a staunch ally of Country A. Fortunately of course, this is a totally fictitious scenario. In the real world, things are airways black and white. |

Bonus: they're on the other side of the world, but their neighbor and protector, Country X, has been Country A's friend after Country A dumped their former staunch ally Country T which is the sworn enemy of Country X, but Country O is the sworn enemy of both Country X and Country G, but a staunch ally of Country A.\n\nFortunately of course, this is a totally fictitious scenario. In the real world, things are airways black and white.",

| body | I actually wrote the following piece a year ago, before the Presidential election. Actually as early as 2015, I predicted the Trumpident for better or for poorer, but as was the case in 2008 and again 2012, America put on its red and blue blinders respectively, and the tradition continued in 2016. No, just as Obama did in fact finish his second term despite the conservative reassurances that the various scandals along the way, such as Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi, would clearly force his early resignation, as Hillary was in fact not dead and replaced by a body double and didn't go to jail (neither her NOR her body double), the Electoral College, apart from some meaningless displays of protest, did not elect Hillary, and Trump was not impeached before he could take the office. As has been the case since Bill Clinton shamed the office by being caught doing the dirty, half the country is for the President, and half the country is against. Entirely because he's from "the other" party. I can't say whether it was a happy accident or a conscious decision, although I favor the latter scenario, but what President Trump has done is absolve the Federal jurisdiction of nagging partisan issues and thereby silently invite the individual States or even County and Municipal governments to pick up the slack. I say RIGHTLY SO. If I were still a resident of California, I would still deeply resent the Golden State's coffers being depleted to prop up a Texas which incessantly mocks and derides it. Yes, by the way, California is a net benefactor to the Union while Texas, with all its supposed wealth, is a net beneficiary. Molto bene. California came up with its own healthcare plan pretty quick. Virginia has had one for years. Individual cities are setting their own minimum wages and individual States are equally quickly passing legislation to prevent them from doing so. But let them fight it out at their level. You can't just up and leave and move to Canada despite what celebrities tell you (recently, Canada became an independent country after being a US satellite for decades). But you CAN move to another city or another State which is better aligned with your preferences. One of them being work, so for example, if you can't find work in South Carolina like one of my friends whose car was impounded on his way back to Florida and who then had a bugger of a time finding work at day labor places to pay the mounting storage fees, make tracks for Florida, where at least in most counties there is a labor shortage. Or Michigan. You have to be really dedicated to stay in Michigan, but you know, lead makes you passive and docile. Just drink more water. And as a lesson to others, avoid the Soylent Green manufactured in any vicinity of Detroit. I moved from California to Florida. Sure I miss the legal weed and my friends fawning over my location as if it were a magical mystical wonderland - but then almost all my friends who lived there moved away as well. To places like Missouri, Alabama and Iowa. That kinda says it all. I sickened of the brown air, the brown landscape, the brown concrete and the stupendous cost of living. It's not possible for everyone, but it's definitely more doable than Canada. Or even Panama, which takes a special kind of hutzpah. They do have McDonald's there, thank God, but still, you can't just drive back on weekends. Don't get me started on the Russia thing. People were screaming that Trump would alienate Russia, and now that he's made friends, they're screaming about that too. Or, instead. Just screaming. And selling newspapers (figuratively, of course). ANYWAY, let the States have at it. Many of our founding fathers didn't want a strong central government and now here we are. Ted Cruz and Huckabee Finn promised they would send troops into Colorado and other places which dared defy the National War On Drugs and shut down marijuana dispensaries by force. Maybe even deposing the Governor, you know, just like in Michigan (oh I love Michigan, what fond memories of living there for almost a year). It didn't happen because whether Trump knew it or not, that would be political suicide. Oh and by the way, nobody's rounded up any gays and shipped them off to pink concentration camps on pretty pink trains. TRANS, not trains. Except for some States which want to meddle in this whole abortion, rape and marriage thing to prevent further floods and earthquakes. Let them. So without further ado, here's my brilliant bloggage in sparkling foresight: *** Every empire in the history of humankind has imploded for one reason. It got too big and was stretched too thin. Our 2016 election year has proven and will continue to lay bare the widening rifts between vast tracts of our diverse population. A country this big with such a wide array of culture (good or bad connotations) cannot survive. The first sign of revolt, individual States usurping Federal power, is a remarkable repeat of the individual East European States straining the authoritative stranglehold of Moscow until a grassroots movement infiltrated the very instruments of order propping up the faltering, crumbling empire. We've proven to ourselves over 150 years ago that our regional interests trumped our national interests, and the wounds from that bloody battle have not yet even healed. Instead, they have festered for decades. In appointing ourselves arbiters of global law, we have deflected our own turmoil onto the international scene. But very soon, our far-flung chickens will be coming home to roost. Our main flaw is assuming there is always a "right" and a "wrong". The North was right, the South was wrong. Christians are right, Muslims are wrong. The Jews are right, the Arabs are wrong. The Taliban are right, the Soviets are wrong. The Afghans are right, the Taliban are wrong. This empirical reasoning is eminently doomed after just a few iterations, as I started to show above. The valiant US-trained and US-funded Mujahhidin whom we enlisted to defeat our arch nemesis, the USSR by proxy, subsequently became our own enemies when popular opinion turned against them. I say "popular opinion", meaning popular opinion in the US and among many of its puppet allies, because the Mujahiddin didn't suddenly say one day "ok, we're renaming ourselves the Taliban and we're gonna be evil now", or whatever the Pashto equivalent is. It's more to the point that some advisor in Washington or across the Potomac suddenly blurted out "holy shit, these guys are worse than we thought and if that goes public, we'll look like idiots supporting them". We've supported corrupt regimes in Nicaragua, the Philippines, Iran, Iraq, South Africa, China, Cuba and even Nazi Germany. And we have egg on our national face from all of these blunders. In the meantime, we have experienced an IRREVERSIBLE (sorry GOP) shift in demographics. We count Muslims who don't like our foreign policy in the Middle East, we count Jews who want to dictate our policy in the Middle East, we have Asian and South American refugees who resent our support of totalitarian regimes. Has anybody heard of Taiwan ? They used to be our friends until we changed our minds and aligned ourselves with a government which is their mortal enemy and perpetrates unspeakable human rights violations because of corporate profit. And lulling the American consumer into a false belief of global supremacy by providing cheap goods which were supposed to simulate the highest standard of living in the world. Our compulsion for "right" or "wrong" judgements has led to this fractured muddle of American policy. These cracks first became apparent during the Vietnam War, or whatever the Government wants to call it now. Millions of people died needlessly, and millions more continue to suffer injury from Agent Orange and unexploded land mines. So hey, yeah, we ended that disaster pretty quick and a decade later, all was forgotten. Until Saddam Hussein thought he was actually the ruler of his own country, thereby defying his US overlords and puppet masters. We had a brief run of relative quiet from the late 70's until the late 80's. The military industrial complex must've been inconsolable. But somehow, something in our country had changed. Vietnam was really the first time large segments of our population disagreed with a Federal Government policy action. Add to that the unheard-of Civil Rights Act and the seeds of divisiveness were inexorably sewn. Let's face it, not even tiny, piddly places like Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Yugoslavia and Northern Ireland were able to reconcile cultural, ethnic and religious differences. How then is a vast empire of 350 millionish people from many different backgrounds supposed to function. We've basically grown ourselves beyond our own limits. Texas thinks California is stupid which thinks New York is stupid which thinks Mississippi is stupid which thinks Florida is stupid which thinks Arizona is stupid.... Blacks and Whites think each other is racist, Christians think Catholics are not true Christians, Heterosexuals think Homosexuals and Transgenders are the problem. Republican States account for the highest levels of pornography, teenage pregnancies and STD's but decry Blue States who are more progressive as hurting the moral fiber of the nation. Bristol Palin. Nuff said. There is simply NO WAY any configuration of government in January 2017 will truly represent "the voice of the people". Our only hope is a looser association of States, a weaker central government. I call bullshit on "America". The movie is over, the lights are coming on in the theater, and the popcorn is cold. |

Entirely because he's from \"the other\" party. \n\nI can't say whether it was a happy accident or a conscious decision, although I favor the latter scenario, but what President Trump has done is absolve the Federal jurisdiction of nagging partisan issues and thereby silently invite the individual States or even County and Municipal governments to pick up the slack. \n\nI say RIGHTLY SO. \n\nIf I were still a resident of California, I would still deeply resent the Golden State's coffers being depleted to prop up a Texas which incessantly mocks and derides it. Yes, by the way, California is a net benefactor to the Union while Texas, with all its supposed wealth, is a net beneficiary. Molto bene.\n\nCalifornia came up with its own healthcare plan pretty quick. \n\nI moved from California to Florida. \n\nIt's not possible for everyone, but it's definitely more doable than Canada. Or even Panama, which takes a special kind of hutzpah. They do have McDonald's there, thank God, but still, you can't just drive back on weekends. \n\nDon't get me started on the Russia thing. People were screaming that Trump would alienate Russia, and now that he's made friends, they're screaming about that too. Or, instead. Just screaming. And selling newspapers (figuratively, of course).\n\nANYWAY, let the States have at it. Many of our founding fathers didn't want a strong central government and now here we are. Ted Cruz and Huckabee Finn promised they would send troops into Colorado and other places which dared defy the National War On Drugs and shut down marijuana dispensaries by force. Maybe even deposing the Governor, you know, just like in Michigan (oh I love Michigan, what fond memories of living there for almost a year).\n\nIt didn't happen because whether Trump knew it or not, that would be political suicide. Oh and by the way, nobody's rounded up any gays and shipped them off to pink concentration camps on pretty pink trains. TRANS, not trains. Except for some States which want to meddle in this whole abortion, rape and marriage thing to prevent further floods and earthquakes. Let them. \n\nSo without further ado, here's my brilliant bloggage in sparkling foresight:\n\n***\n\nEvery empire in the history of humankind has imploded for one reason. It got too big and was stretched too thin.\n\nOur 2016 election year has proven and will continue to lay bare the widening rifts between vast tracts of our diverse population. A country this big with such a wide array of culture (good or bad connotations) cannot survive. The first sign of revolt, individual States usurping Federal power, is a remarkable repeat of the individual East European States straining the authoritative stranglehold of Moscow until a grassroots movement infiltrated the very instruments of order propping up the faltering, crumbling empire.\n\nWe've proven to ourselves over 150 years ago that our regional interests trumped our national interests, and the wounds from that bloody battle have not yet even healed. Instead, they have festered for decades.\n\nIn appointing ourselves arbiters of global law, we have deflected our own turmoil onto the international scene. But very soon, our far-flung chickens will be coming home to roost.\n\nOur main flaw is assuming there is always a \"right\" and a \"wrong\". The North was right, the South was wrong. Christians are right, Muslims are wrong. The Jews are right, the Arabs are wrong. The Taliban are right, the Soviets are wrong. The Afghans are right, the Taliban are wrong. \n\nThis empirical reasoning is eminently doomed after just a few iterations, as I started to show above. The valiant US-trained and US-funded Mujahhidin whom we enlisted to defeat our arch nemesis, the USSR by proxy, subsequently became our own enemies when popular opinion turned against them.\n\nI say \"popular opinion\", meaning popular opinion in the US and among many of its puppet allies, because the Mujahiddin didn't suddenly say one day \"ok, we're renaming ourselves the Taliban and we're gonna be evil now\", or whatever the Pashto equivalent is. It's more to the point that some advisor in Washington or across the Potomac suddenly blurted out \"holy shit, these guys are worse than we thought and if that goes public, we'll look like idiots supporting them\".\n\nWe've supported corrupt regimes in Nicaragua, the Philippines, Iran, Iraq, South Africa, China, Cuba and even Nazi Germany. And we have egg on our national face from all of these blunders.\n\nIn the meantime, we have experienced an IRREVERSIBLE (sorry GOP) shift in demographics. And lulling the American consumer into a false belief of global supremacy by providing cheap goods which were supposed to simulate the highest standard of living in the world.\n\nOur compulsion for \"right\" or \"wrong\" judgements has led to this fractured muddle of American policy. These cracks first became apparent during the Vietnam War, or whatever the Government wants to call it now. Millions of people died needlessly, and millions more continue to suffer injury from Agent Orange and unexploded land mines.\n\nSo hey, yeah, we ended that disaster pretty quick and a decade later, all was forgotten. Until Saddam Hussein thought he was actually the ruler of his own country, thereby defying his US overlords and puppet masters. We had a brief run of relative quiet from the late 70's until the late 80's. The military industrial complex must've been inconsolable.\n\nBut somehow, something in our country had changed. Vietnam was really the first time large segments of our population disagreed with a Federal Government policy action. Add to that the unheard-of Civil Rights Act and the seeds of divisiveness were inexorably sewn.\n\nLet's face it, not even tiny, piddly places like Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Yugoslavia and Northern Ireland were able to reconcile cultural, ethnic and religious differences. How then is a vast empire of 350 millionish people from many different backgrounds supposed to function. \n\nWe've basically grown ourselves beyond our own limits. Nuff said.\n\nThere is simply NO WAY any configuration of government in January 2017 will truly represent \"the voice of the people\". Our only hope is a looser association of States, a weaker central government. I call bullshit on \"America\". The movie is over, the lights are coming on in the theater, and the popcorn is cold.",

| body | I consider myself a Christian simply because I identify with the Christian concept of God, because it's what I grew up with. I've always had problems with micro-examinations of God's word instead of people looking at the bigger picture. It's inconceivable to me how people, even experts, can presume to decide what God's word or God's intentions are. Basically, the dissent started as soon as the first text post Jesus was written. What a mess ! It is obvious that the Bible is not used to illuminate God's wish, but to elevate RELIGION to god-like status. How can this contemporary web page writer still argue the difference between Judaism and Christianity ? It's like the difference between leather and vinyl. Or you can call it "naugahyde", but in the end it's still vinyl. Except that these days, people will argue that vinyl is better than leather. Think of all the arguments, then think of the arguments about the various texts. God gave us leather, but did he deliberately inspire us to artificially create vinyl ? Does it matter ? The whole point of "grace" vs. "law" totally disregards what God was trying to say. Why did Jesus himself not produce any writing which might have answered all of mankind's questions ? Oh, we could speculate for days whether He was teaching us a lesson, whether He challenged is to think for ourselves, whether He created us with a purpose etc. Religion gives people meaning. Religion is a HUMAN CONSTRUCT which is proven by religion itself in its myriad forms on our planet today. If there were one God and one word of God, then we'd all be on the same page. Klaatu said that in our primitive existence, we need lots of war and conflict in order to form a perfect society on our own. Is that what God had in mind ? We COULD all be on the same page if we just surrendered our ENDLESS VANITY, with each human thinking they are superior to the next human. I'm absolutely certain that's NOT what God had in mind. I'm absolutely certain that Jesus was trying to convey a very different message; one of peace and humility. But just like Henry VIII who started his own religion solely to allow him quick disposal of spouses past their expiration date, ALL religion has been formed with a purpose by mankind, and invariably, a selfish purpose. That's not to say a selfish purpose can't be altruistic, but it takes truly devoted people to make it so, and that we regard as God's image - Buddha, the Dalai Lama, Jainism, the Amish..... and there is evident commonality among these. Unfortunately, the brash and the loud who seek to cloak themselves in the mantle of God will always claim the spotlight and sway the weak and morally bankrupt with promises of special privilege as in, this applies to others but doesn't apply to you because YOU are a true believer. The inherent contradiction in saying a true believer does not have to truly believe because of some miraculous dispensation is easily glossed over by those who want to believe that invoking the name of God to judge OTHER people is perfectly acceptable. |

"body": "I consider myself a Christian simply because I identify with the Christian concept of God, because it's what I grew up with. I've always had problems with micro-examinations of God's word instead of people looking at the bigger picture. \n\nIt's inconceivable to me how people, even experts, can presume to decide what God's word or God's intentions are. Basically, the dissent started as soon as the first text post Jesus was written. What a mess !\n\nIt is obvious that the Bible is not used to illuminate God's wish, but to elevate RELIGION to god-like status. How can this contemporary web page writer still argue the difference between Judaism and Christianity ? It's like the difference between leather and vinyl. Or you can call it \"naugahyde\", but in the end it's still vinyl. \n\nExcept that these days, people will argue that vinyl is better than leather. Think of all the arguments, then think of the arguments about the various texts. God gave us leather, but did he deliberately inspire us to artificially create vinyl ?\n\nDoes it matter ?\n\nThe whole point of \"grace\" vs. \"law\" totally disregards what God was trying to say. Why did Jesus himself not produce any writing which might have answered all of mankind's questions ? Oh, we could speculate for days whether He was teaching us a lesson, whether He challenged is to think for ourselves, whether He created us with a purpose etc. \n\nReligion gives people meaning. Religion is a HUMAN CONSTRUCT which is proven by religion itself in its myriad forms on our planet today. If there were one God and one word of God, then we'd all be on the same page. \n\nKlaatu said that in our primitive existence, we need lots of war and conflict in order to form a perfect society on our own. Is that what God had in mind ?\n\nWe COULD all be on the same page if we just surrendered our ENDLESS VANITY, with each human thinking they are superior to the next human. \n\nThat's not to say a selfish purpose can't be altruistic, but it takes truly devoted people to make it so, and that we regard as God's image - Buddha, the Dalai Lama, Jainism, the Amish..... and there is evident commonality among these. | body | Anger. It seems that people LOOK for ways to vent their anger. Righteous anger is the best, because you can feel justified about it. But in the end, it's the same anger conservatives felt toward Obama and the same anger liberals feel about Trump and the same anger neo-cons feel about homosexuals and Blacks. On that subject, briefly, it's not fair to call those people racist because the largest non-White group taking over this country are Latinos with a 43% population increase between 2000-2010 compared to a 9% increase in people identifying as Black. And a 7% decrease in people identifying as White, possibly because they're ashamed LoL but anyway, these people are not racist, they just hate Black people. Do we need to own our anger ? It does get confusing when hatred of one group gets presented as hatred of other groups, but we do need to address the root cause of the anger. The same people who decry government involvement in their lives urge government involvement in other people's lives. Anger usually stems from a deep-rooted conviction of an injustice toward that person, usually at an early age. Sometimes it's a problem with fetal brain development. People who grow up healthy and happy and balanced simply don't have that level of rage. So in the end, the government tries to quell the rage by imposing our gigantic behemoth legal system which drains all hope of swift justice and fair punishment under its mammoth burden of conflicting regulations. Such as what this week overturned the life imprisonment sentence of the younger of the "beltway shooters" because after 13 years, somebody finally realized that he was 18 when he was arrested, but not 18 yet when he committed the crime, and therefore "less culpable". I tell you, magic happens on your 18th birthday. The FAIRY OF WISDOM visits you at the stroke of midnight and sprinkles enlightenment dust on your brain. Suddenly you are able to make judgments you were unable to make before, like joining the Military, having sex, driving a car, voting, drinking liquor, smoking...... oh wait, each of those has a different fairy in every State who visits at different ages to sprinkle the appropriate dust on your brain, so you might be allowed to drive a car, but not kill people yet, etc. These value judgments are extremely unpalatable to people who perceive the world as, ironically, what we call "black and white". It's like a wolf killing your sheep but you can't do anything because the wolf is an endangered species. But maybe the sheep is an endangered breed. Maybe it's your entire livelihood. Maybe it's your right to defend your property, if the sheep is your property. What if the wolf is also your property ? What if it's your child, not a sheep. What if it's a child who killed your child yesterday ? These are value judgments and this is why we have a gazillion lawyers and court cases take decades. In effect, this is encouraging anger rather than diffusing it. The only solution is to teach the moral values we want our children to hold, but then our own moral values might be imbued by hate and anger. It's an inevitable result of our complex society. You bet some overly controlling governments like that of China and the Soviet Union recognized this and instituted State education which firmly rooted the desired values in the emerging generations. To an extent, we do the same thing with school curricula. Then you have the parents telling their children not to believe some things they are taught in school, and you have a mess. The problem is cleaning up the mess. We think we can, but we can't. We naively believe that outlawing guns, drugs, child sex, pornography, other religions, fraud, theft, battery, murder, treason and exceeding the speed limit will eradicate this things from our society. We can't. Our only hope for mitigation is looking at the root causes and training our population to deal with them. There's a reason some people crave sex with children. There's a reason some people crave killing other people. We have to do what we can to address those reasons, because otherwise, we will foster a culture of vigilantism which does not thrive on reason. Mark the Salem Witch Trials and the Spanish Inquisition. The KKK, the Crusades, the McCarthy commission and ethnic cleansing. Mark "Lord Of The Flies". |

| body | Every now and then, but far too often for my liking and licking of my bruised ego, I come across in my travels around the interwebs something that I'm sure I should've known, and that I'm sure everybody else in the world actually knows but keeps quiet. An article popped up that I couldn't resist clicking on, saying a NY rabbi admitted sucking on 25,000 newborn's penises. What ? I posted it for comment to an obtuse, pseudo-progressive bored-with-life Facebook group, and the second response was "really reliable source". Did I fall for fake news or are we today ready to dismiss anything which threatens to disagree with our confortable world view like, for example, President Trump has normal-sized hands and Michelle Obama is not a man. No, in fact I came across an article from tomorrow, as it's already that in Israel, and we all know "Tomorrow Never Lies" and now I've exposed myself as a James Bond movies buff. Even so, apparently the practice dates from around 200PC (as opposed to "AC" or Ante-Christ) and has survived unchanged in a thin line of devout literalistz, which is the Orthodox Jewish community in New York, being the heirs of decorum in a dirty nasty age where homosexuals are joining both their original and adopted homelands' armed forcees (the Latin plural of "forces"). Of course it begs the question why God, Jesus, Muhammad, Allah or Vishnu Krishnu warned us about pork, shellfish, beef, snakes, carnies (small hands), fornication and adulteration (as in, "I'm totally baffled by your adulteration of the English language" IT'S A LIVING THING, OK ?) but never saw it necessary to warn us about herpes, possibly because it was created by the CIA in the same secret lab which gave us the HI Virus and super-cooled water. Possibly because 2 dead babies are statistically insignificant compared to the Holocaust whether real or imagined, and entering into that very discussion detracts from the real problem of victimization. And if you can't see that, you're a Nazi [rolls tongue into a swastika]. Please tell me dear friends, that there are some amongst you who are willing to assuage my despair by pretending not to have known about this common practice. Thank you ! I owe you one and a half. |
