It's a fun and imaginative story that I really enjoyed. The opening preface really draws you in with it's humor. It's very snarky and goofy and it gave me several good laughs. It begins in the country of Aerwiar, named that way because that's what the first man said when he was created - \"Here we are.\" Over the years that phrase became a slang word that eventually turned into the name of the Kingdom. Aerwiar was a peaceful kingdom until a threat came from a nameless evil that was named Gnag The Nameless. See what I mean? This book is based on a nameless humor that's named, well, maybe it's not named. It could be \"memed\". Either way, it's a lot of fun.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Gnag The Nameless lived across the Dark Sea Of Darkness in the country of Dang. He and his evil minions, the Fangs of Dang, crossed the sea and conquered Aerwiar and invaded the neighboring countries. On The Edge Of The Dark Sea Of Darkness takes place in one of those invaded countries, Glipwood. It follows the tale of the Igiby family kids: Janner, his brother Tink and their crippled sister Leeli.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Igibys are living under horrible circumstances because of the cruel Fangs of Dang that now rule over their country. One particular Fang, named Slarb, decides he hates the Igibys and causes big trouble for them. Slarb's hatred unravels a number of problem for the Igiby family, and eventually the Fangs of Dang! In the end, the good people of Glipwood are forced to stand against the evil fangs. Will they win? We shall see! It's an imaginative, clever, fun and engaging story. Personally I didn't read it, I listened to the audio book, read by Peter Sandon. Peter's voice is delightfully deep and gruff and the book is a great listen.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img class=\"pull-left\" title=\"Author Andrew Peterson\" src=\"http://creationtales.com/images/BLOG-Book-Review-DarkSea-AuthorPic.jpg\" alt=\"Author Andrew Peterson\" width=\"175px\" height=\"175px\" />This is the first book in the Wingfeather Saga, written by Andrew Peterson. Peterson has 5 books written in the saga so far and it looks like there are 3 more books that support the series.  I don't know much about Peterson but his Author page says that he's also a professional musician and he travels around the United States and Europe to perform.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I highly encourage you to read On The Edge Of The Dark Sea Of Darkness! It's focuses mostly on little tweaks that I can do to make sure that my book is attractive and that I'm promoting it to the right crowd.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I've been successful selling paperbacks to family, friends and the surrounding community. When people hear about my books, it usually peaks their interest and they'd like to get a copy. And it sounds like people like the book when they get it. I have great reviews and lots of fans.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">But my ebook version hasn't taken off. I haven't yet tapped into the power of Amazon and it's millions of customers all over the world, and that's my goal. I've had some success with bringing up my Amazon rankings. As of today, I'm ranked 1,081,360 out of all ebooks. That's really not bad. You can see by the graphic below, which was taken on December 20th of 2017, that my ranking was much better that day: 186,717 of all ebooks. I know that sounds like a no-brainer, but the goal isn't really to be in the most correct category, it's to be in the least competitive category. If I can get in to the top 20 of any category, then my chance of selling is great increased… because Amazon lists their books 20 books at a time.</p>\n<hr />\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The course has also taught me a whole lot about my book description.       "body": "Lol, I thought the same thing!  Maybe Up is a modern translation of the story.  This book is actually getting old, it's maybe 50 years or more now.  The preface was interesting because it addressed how another book was released about the same time with a very similar plotline.  The book is also interesting because it teases that it is a fiction but is based on reality, but it won't tell us where the line between them is.",

      "body": "My two boys, Aybrin and Asher, picked up an old Scholastic book titled \"The Twenty-One Ballons\" by William Pene du Bios.  It was a fun read and the whole family enjoyed it. I picked it up through a promotion several months ago and it's been on my to-read list ever since. Well, I finally got to read it!</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Green Ember follows the story of Heather and Picket Longfritter. They are a couple of adventurous young rabbits who have been hidden from the kingdom of rabbits for a number of years because of a deep dark family secret. So deep and dark, that Heather and Picket didn't even know about it! The two have been kept safe from the harsh reality all of their lives.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a title=\"The Green Ember - Picket Longfritter\" href=\"http://creationtales.com/blog/158-book-review-the-green-ember.html\"><img class=\"pull-left\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" title=\"The Green Ember - Picket Longfritter\" src=\"http://creationtales.com/images/BLOG-GreenEmber-JoinTheCause.jpg\" alt=\"The Green Ember - Picket Longfritter\" width=\"268\" height=\"333\" /></a></p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Reality catches up with them early in this book when a hoard of wolves attack their home. Amazingly, Heather and Picket escape the enemies, but only barely. Some last minute help, from a couple of strangers, keeps them safe.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">One of the strangers turns out to be Heather and Picket's Uncle Wilfred. Wilfred develops a trust with the two young rabbits and takes them to cloud mountain, a home to many other rabbits. The family finds safety, purpose, and time to grow at Cloud Mountain. Ultimately they discover the rabbit king, who has been hiding his true identity and they help to save his life and his kingdom.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Green Ember is a story of courage, purpose, community and family. It shows how rabbits, and even us people, don't always get along. Somehow though, we are still one big family. It's a Bible Allegory, meaning that it retells the history of the Bible in a fictional way. You'll see loads of Bible parallels. Even the name of the kingdom, Arrethtrae, gives a glimpse into reality. Turn the word around and it reads Earth terra, the kingdom we were given by God!</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Kingdom's Dawn is definitely a story for boys. That doesn't mean girls won't like it, but the action, fight scenes and mayhem is more what boys like to read.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a title=\"Kingdom's Dawn\" href=\"http://creationtales.com/blog/156-book-review-kingdom-s-dawn.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img class=\"pull-center\" title=\"We're Here For A Reason\" src=\"http://creationtales.com/images/BLOG-Book-Review-KingdomsDawn-Takeaway.jpg\" alt=\"Remember, We're Here For A Reason  There is more to life than what we see. God created us, placed us on this earth, gave us a mission and He's waiting to reward us for being good stewards of his gifts in us\" /></a></p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Here's a quick overview, without giving away too much of the story. A young boy, named Leinad, is trained by his father to be a master swordsman. One day Leinad's father explains why, because The King had given him dominion to rule over Arrethtrae.  However Leinad's father and mother ignored one of The King's rules, leading to the loss of the kingdom to the evil one, Lucius. Soon Leinad meets Lucius face to face and his life changes forever.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Leinad begins a mission to serve The King by saving the people of Arrethtrae. He finds out about a coming disaster, similar to Noah's flood in the Bible, and warns the people. Will the townsfolk listen and escape to safety?  You'll have to read the book to find out.  I will tell you, Leinad barely escapes the disaster.  </p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Next, with the King's guidance, Leinad finds a people in the south who are destined to become The King's nation. However it is not an easy task to lead the nation.  Leinad faces trials, troubles and is even sentenced to a death by the feared Moshe Monster.  Will he be killed?  We can only hope for The King's protection.  I will tell you, Leinad gets to meet The King in the end.  He is then given another mission, starring a primary role in book 2, A Kingdom's Hope!</p>\n<hr />\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Kingdom Series seems to have a large following. Even a Hollywood movie was in consideration several years ago.  Here's a video from some Kingdom's Dawn enthusiasts.  It portrays the scene where Leinad is to be killed by the Moshi Moster.<br /><iframe src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/zqRkFIZ5bIY?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"></iframe></p>\n<hr />\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Kingdom's Dawn is a good story that grabs your attention and keeps it. I must confess, however, that I've had the audio book for a couple years.  I tried to listen to it before, but the narrator's voice was so calm and soothing that I kept falling asleep. This year I realized the book was a top seller on Amazon, so I set my sights to get through it! Once I finally got into the story, I was hooked.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Kingdom's Dawn is the first in a series of six books. The author is still writing today and it looks as it there are several more stories inspired by the series. I highly recommend this book, especially for your adventurous young boys.       "body": "I agree with you.  If you just understand the empirical data, you should arrive at the conclusion that the odds of man's creation was likely not due to chance.  I do understand the scientific postulates that infer molecules will combine to form different variations and the entities are prone to adapt to their environment.  So these lead you to the conclusion that man evolved from the chimp.  But there are factors that are not known (missing link).  On the other hand, how do we know that God scooped up some clay and formed man, then pulled a rib from the man and made woman?  This is where 'faith' is espoused.  So how do you choose?\n\nUnderstand that I am a believer in God and I am not denigrating the omnificence of God.",

      "body": "You're right outwalking, faith is a big part of a Christian life.  Sometimes we get blinded by the world we live in, and we question our faith.  But if we can pause and rest in the creation God made, to look at it, we can remember how great He is. I went to catholic school growing up and some of things I was told to believe (due to faith) were the guardian angel (that was on your shoulder) and the immaculate conception.  I like you pondered the creation of man and I have yet to have an answer.  So I continue to keep the faith.",

It's titled \"Foundlings\" and it's book one in the Peleg Chronicles\" from author Matthew Christian Harding.</p>\n<p><img class=\"pull-center\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"http://creationtales.com/images/BLOG-Book-Review-Foundlings-Logo.jpg\" alt=\"Foundlings Author, Matthew Christian Harding\" /></p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is, first of all, a Christian book! Characters often stir themselves up with scripture from the Bible or hymns that praise God.  They run into obvious challenges and violence, but there's no language, no bad situations and the characters are a lot of fun!</p>\n<hr id=\"system-readmore\" />\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The story takes place some time after the fall of Babylon, when men were dispersed across the planet. It follows a number of interesting characters but all of them are tied together by Lord McDougal, an unlikely hero.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">McDougal is a lanky, unpolished and sometimes clumsy Lord (that means he's upperclass.) He has recently been cursed by a witch, so he has lost most of his life's possessions. Plus everyone, except McDougal's trusty servant Fergus, have either left him or died. But McDougal keeps trooping along, serving God and his fellow man as he sees fit.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img class=\"pull-center\" src=\"http://creationtales.com/images/BLOG-Book-Review-Foundlings.jpg\" alt=\"Book Review - Foundlings, Book 1 in The Peleg Chronicles\" /></p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Adventure stirs up immediately as our character fights giants, dragons, priests that serve other gods and more! McDougal has the uncanny ability to stir up trouble because he takes his duty (as Lord, judge and servant of God) very seriously. A team of adventurers is built by the end of this book including the dwarf Gimcrack, Igi Forkbeard, and Oded the Bear.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">There were a couple stumbling blocks for me in the book, but they would not keep me from reading it again. There is a chapter when a young boy, Thiery, witnesses to a soldier named Igi Forkbeard. I love Thiery's heart, but I think the author made this particular chapter a little difficult for young ones to read. There's a lot of scripture reading from the book of Job, in this chapter. It would have been nice if the witnessing could have been simplified so young one's could easier understand it.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In one other place there was a similar witnessing that got a little deep, but it wasn't as hard to follow as the chapter quoting Job. Never the less, you and your kids will still love this story. It's frequently in Amazon's top 20 Christian fiction books for children.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img class=\"pull-center\" src=\"http://creationtales.com/images/BLOG-Book-Review-FoundlingsRatings.jpg\" alt=\"Foundlings Ratings on Amazon\" /></p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Best of all, the ebook is currently FREE on Amazon! I'm sure the author believes you'll like it so much that you'll want to read his other books. And you will, because this book ends with a cliff hanger. (Dog-gone!) It didn't tie up the loose ends I hoped it would. Instead they continued to unravel more and more! Just when you thought all the characters would finally get together, they are met with trouble!</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">But that's enough for now. I don't want to give away the whole story!
