They do this because bitcoin is now viewed as a store of value. But why is this so? Most people that are in the cryptocurrency world would say Bitcoin is a store of value because it is rare. I agree with this, bitcoin is rare. There after all will only ever be 21 million bitcoin and the speculating supply is currently just about 16.8 million. When you consider that the population of the planet is about 7.6 billion it can only stand to reason that if bitcoin were to be adopted by the masses that its current price of about $14,000 would pale in comparison to what it could be. I have heard people forecast prices of $100,000 up to $1,000,000. \n\nMy opinion is that bitcoin does have the potential to go up a lot more but it will not have the ability to maintain its price. I say this because I don’t think that it will ever be adopted by the masses. This will not be because the masses do not want cryptocurrencies, I actually think they will. I think that in 2 to 3 years from now cryptocurrencies will have made fiat currencies irrelevant. The reason bitcoin won’t be adopted by the masses is because it can’t scale and therefore can’t be adopted by the masses. \n\nAs a matter of fact bitcoin can barely support its current “digital gold” “gold 2.0” use case with its current level of usage. It costs about $20 to transfer bitcoin and it can sometimes take days for a transaction to be confirmed. That doesn’t sound like digital gold to me, that sounds like gold gold; it’s inconvenient and expensive to transact with. So when people refer to bitcoin as digital gold as if it’s a good thing, I get confused. As far as I know civilization moved on from gold and silver to fiat currencies in an effort to improve on how we trade. Shouldn’t we be trying to now move on from fiat to something better? Going back to gold or something that acts like gold is a move in the wrong direction and since bitcoin is “digital gold” it is also a move in the wrong direction.\n\nUnfortunately, for most people bitcoin is synonymous with cryptocurrency. This is such a shame since there are currently cryptocurrencies that far surpass bitcoin in every way. Cryptocurrencies such as Dash, Monero, Etheruem and even Litecoin are far superior. I think that another crypto will usurp bitcoin in the near future (in six months or so). The problems with bitcoin are just too large.",

Ethereum is established, it even has had time to crypto kittie fail. Eos has a running proto in Dawn 2.0, but it's not even a real coin on its own blockchain. That will not change until June 2018.\n\nMy gut feeling is that around June Eos market cap will match that of Ethereum. That should mean approximately €100 for one coin. After that a small correction and then further growth.\n\nThe things holding down Eos is FUD around it just being an ETH20 token and insecurity about its own blockchain. That and big promises. Ethereum came close and has panned out to have also be a pretty go investment for me but it never gave me the 'this shit is going to change the world' feeling that EOS gives me. This is likely in part because when I first invested in Ethereum I have not gone as far down the cryptocurrency rabbit hole as I currently am and there did not fully understand the potential that cryptos’s have for changing our world. That being said, when one considers the scalability issues that Ethereum has with it network buckling under the pressure of the crypto kitties app, I think my intuition was at least party right. I say party because just as bitcoin change the world by proving cryptocurrencies were possible, ethereum made a huge impact by proving that decentralized computation was possible. I value the contribution of both bitcoin and ethereum but the truth is they don't scale and therefore won't work as they were originally intended to. The reason EOS is different for me and gives me that 'this shit is going to change the world' feeling is that I think that it will scale and will therefore, Actually Work.</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n</html>",

For me this means to have a free thinking open and inquisitive mind, a fit body that gives me the ability to do the things I love, and an occupation the revolves around my interests. These principles translated into specific goals means the following:\n\nMind\n- study Stoic Philosophy for a least 20 minutes a day\n- meditate for 20 minutes a day\n\nBody\n- get down to 12 percent body fat\n- run 2 half marathons\n- lift at least 3 times a week\n- do cardio 5 times a week\n\nOccupation\n- blog everyday (starting today)\n- podcast or post a video once a week\n- continue investing in and researching cryptocurrencies\n- make $10k per month outside of my day job (sounds crazy but I think it's possible)\n\nSo those are my goals, aka what I'm going to get done. At the end of this year I will be able to say that 2018 was defined by freedom.",
