doubt now here are these two unaccountable freaks they came in together they must go out together he died on April 21st 1910 one day after the comet had returned as it reaches the far end of its orbit the Titan and the Titanic in 1898 Morgan Robertson published a novella entitled futility or the wreck of the Titan the plot revolved around the HMS Titan a British luxury liner that hit an iceberg and sank while crossing the northern Atlantic of course in 1912 the Titanic sank in a similar fashion and that's where things get bizarre both ships were considered unsinkable both hit an iceberg in the month of April approximately 400 miles from Newfoundland both were approximately 800 feet long and both resulted in the deaths of over 2,000 people the lack of life jackets and lifeboats was also a They could be planned, but all of them seem to have at least one aspect that cannot be fully disproven. 13. The Haunted Finders Crew is a two-man team ready to explore a supposedly cursed church. I just want to emphasize that there is one person holding the camera and one person talking. No one else. About twelve minutes later they get the feeling that they are being watched, a suspicion that is quickly verified on camera . . . You can see how the figure appears to be dressed in long flowing robes, almost like a monk or a priest would wear. Its face does not show much detail and you never get to clearly see its eyes, nose or mouth, not even when facing the camera. Their strange guardian seems to keep pace with them for a bit as they briefly cross the bell tower.\r\n\r\nThen it disappears again, this time for good. 12. A team of paranormal experts head to the abandoned County Jail in Gonzalez, Texas to prove it really is haunted. After exploring for a while all of them agree that they are feeling an intense anger for no real reason. Finally one of them decides to confront whatever is responsible for causing their heightened emotional state. The question is met with even greater anger in return. According to them, an invisible hand slides around his throat and tightly squeezes. The retching noises he makes afterwards seems very real. He runs out of the building and his eyes appear red and watery immediately afterwards. Unless he is somehow able to give himself fully red eyes on command, all of this evidence makes me think that this ghost incident could have been real.\r\n\r\n11. This ghost video from Pakistan follows a paranormal expert named Sajjad Saleem and his crew as they poke around an old building late at night. Eventually they come across an apparition whose existence none of them have been able to explain ever since. Standing on the other side of the room is a hunched over witchlike figure dressed in tattered clothing. She advances three steps and stares at them. Then what happens next baffles everyone. Watch this part and you’ll see she instantly vanishes. This red arrow marks where she was standing only moments ago. There is not enough time for her to retreat into the doorway, yet she somehow disappears. Saleem crosses the room and finds no one there, leaving him in stunned silence. 10. A YouTuber named michaeljp86 is recording a cemetery late at night to see if anything strange will happen. Sure enough, a mysterious light materializes in the distance. At first they suspect it could be the headlights of oncoming traffic, but when no vehicles drive by, they realize much to their horror that the light is actually coming from within the cemetery itself.\r\n\r\nAccording to michaeljp86, the rectangular shape shown here is actually a doorway made of pure light. Watch again in slow motion and you’ll see a small figure run into the doorway moments before the light fades away. If this isn’t paranormal, then let me know what you think caused the light to appear, and also what the shadow running into it was. 9. A person is recording at an old memorial site that is apparently haunted when something gets his attention. When they turn back around to record some more, they chance upon a girl dressed in modern clothes with long black hair covering her face and chest.\r\n\r\nThen, she’s gone. Something about this video seems natural and unplanned. I will admit there is somewhat of a delayed reaction during the doubletake, but maybe whoever was recording could only see it on their screen and not in front of them. Or maybe this video is fake because the girl could have simply ducked out of sight. If the person recording had gone into the building and saw nothing, then I would be satisfied that this video is real. 8. This home in Villisca, Iowa is where an axe-wielding maniac once took the lives of an entire family and two guests. Whoever did it was never brought to justice and now, more than a hundred years later, the restless spirits of those left behind have yet to find peace.\r\n\r\nA YouTuber named Lighthouse_Music senses the spirit of children hiding in the closet and starts recording. She speaks in a nice tone and offers candy. Nothing happens for some time until . . . Then, as if further proof was needed, the spirit appears to follow some other basic commands. They even ask the child to open the door wider than before as a test and it timidly seems to obey. But the part that really has me convinced is at the very end. Notice how the door shuts harder than any other time in the video as soon as the spirit gets what it wants. Maybe it could be a draft from a nearby window opening and closing the door, but this definitely seems like childlike behavior to me.\r\n\r\n7. This 6-second video was taken back in 2010 and has been puzzling the YouTube community ever since. A YouTuber named mark Grove reacts fast and manages to record no less than three specters filling the doorway to his living room. A closer look reveals what could be the spirits of a previous family that lived here. The one in the middle appears to be a child with a large adult to the left and a medium-sized teenager to the right. mark Grove claims to see a fourth ghost in this video but I honestly don’t. The one to the far left is apparently just a chair according to the description, so let me know where the fourth one is if you can see it. 6. A YouTuber named brhenry16 is deep in a Southern California mine when he sees a pale light off in the distance. The light doesn’t have the intense brightness of modern electronics. Instead it looks dim and swings at waist-level, kind of like an old lantern would have. brhenry16 is sure that this is the spirit of a cave miner and I would have to agree.\r\n\r\nLet me know if you think the same or if you believe this portion of the video was staged. 5. These Snapchat videos were taken days after YouTuber Missbrown070809 and her coworker decide to summon a spirit at her job for fun. She has felt constantly watched ever since. Maybe it’s just a glitch, but the timing and movement of these Snapchat videos is a little too coincidental at times. It really does seem as if a spirit is responding to her without delay, like here for example. Look at how the ghost actually appears at eye level and follows the movement of a colleague . . . And when she pluralizes the word “friend”, more of them seem to come out of nowhere. I find it odd that multiple faces appear after she says “friends”. I’m not saying that these absolutely have to be spirits, but the timing is undeniably strange at the very least. 4. A CCTV gym camera captures this slow-moving white object at six in the morning.\r\n\r\nThe strange shape appears to float in mid-air and even slightly changes form at times. Paranormal or not, experts have been ultimately unable to determine the source of this fluttering figure. I guess it might be a piece of lint or something that got stuck on the lens of the camera, but the way it slowly sways without going anywhere makes me think this could really be a classic haunting. 3. The David Livingstone Center is a reportedly haunted museum in Glasgow, Scotland, as these paranormal investigators are about to discover for themselves. They aren’t even finished setting up their equipment when the poltergeist activity begins. First something falls in the darkness and then a piece of equipment flips over in front of them. They go to where the other object fell over and find one of the velvet ropes has come unhooked by itself. Since we didn’t see it happen on video though, I guess we just have to take their word. Later they head over to a chapel area where they think they see something move, but it’s too dark to tell.\r\n\r\nWhen they take a picture of the corner of the chapel, however, this image of a shadow person is what they find. 2. This home in Bothell, Washington has been overtaken by an evil force that refuses to go away. Paranormal experts from all over the world have been baffled by their findings, like this team for example. First, motion sensors repeatedly detect movement in areas where nothing is visible to the eye. What’s especially weird is how the trip wires stop beep whenever the investigators are near. Grunts, growls and strange laughter echo throughout the house as well. Here’s an example of the same laugh caught on multiple cameras. A YouTuber named Shonduras decides to go ghost investigating with his friends at their studio office, which is apparently haunted. They meet up at 2am and are talking about what they should do next when something in the next room over wrecks their plans. Approximately ten seconds later this sound fills the building. Listen to it and tell me if you think it’s real or edited. By now they are pretty much freaking out and ready to take off, but the spirit isn’t quite through with them yet. You’ll see absolutely nobody was nearby when this happens, which makes me think it could be real. All of the lights shut off before they get a chance to leave. One of them turns the camera light on just in time to see their friend blankly staring at them from the ground. I guess he could just be acting and one of his friends pulled him by his feet, but that still doesn’t explain this actual ghost sighting at the very end. All of them claim to have experienced supernatural hauntings that go far beyond any possible academic explanation known to humankind. 13. Exploring With Josh is a YouTube channel dedicated to taking a closer look at all sorts of frightening locations. This time they decide to check out an abandoned school that is reportedly the source of black magic rituals. Pentagrams spray-painted on the wall give them a general feeling of unease all around as thy make their way deeper into the building.\r\n\r\nThey feel watched at times and are worried about coming across someone at any given moment. I noticed some sort of strange ephemeral smoke follows them throughout the video. It’s visible in two different scenes. The first time happens about 5 minutes in . . . Then it happens again here roughly a minute-and-a-half later . . . The strange smoke is definitely not their breath because it only happens twice instead of throughout the entire video. Coincidentally, the smoke appears as soon as they sense that something is nearby. As if that weren’t enough, they have another random paranormal encounter that is much more blatant. I don’t see any blocked light around the doorframe to indicate one of their friends was on the other side. In fact, it doesn’t look like the door even has a knob to use. There just doesn’t seem to be any plausible reason for this door to open on its own. 12. This surveillance footage was taken from the Helpmekaar College in South Africa. A strange mist appears in the far doorway and slowly morphs into the shape of a girl wearing a long dress.\r\n\r\nShe casually walks into a nearby classroom as if this was just another ordinary school day, except of course the room is empty and no one is in the building. Even though this is called Helpmekaar College, it’s actually just a high school, and this phantomlike figure does appear to be around the same size as an average student. This makes me think it could possibly be real, though I guess they could have edited this girl into the video if they really wanted to. 11. Two school custodians are standing in the middle of a creepy old boiler room. One of them is the supervisor, and he was called in after his coworker said that she saw objects moving around on their own. He records the situation for legal workplace reasons and the two of them reluctantly investigate. The supervisor doesn’t see anything out of the ordinary and he reassures his coworker that everything is okay.\r\n\r\nHe encourages her to go deeper into the boiler room and get something that she needs, and that’s when things go wrong. A metallic chair scrapes towards them on its own and they both fall back. I guess the supervisor could have pulled on a string, but I think the chair moves a farther distance than he would have been able to pull judging from where he was standing. 10. A security guard is patrolling the San Francisco College campus when he catches a glimpse of an all-black figure moving fast. He quickly rounds the corner and finds absolutely nothing there. Notice how the silhouette is traveling in a straight line at a high rate of speed and has no time to run up the steps or to hide on the right before the security guard catches up with it. I don’t see any jump cut editing either, so I think this could really be an actual ghost. 9. Chris Moon is a paranormal expert who travels around the country demonstrating the metaphysical properties of the spirit world.\r\n\r\nThis time he is using a spirit box at the Cornell College in Iowa when suddenly a student’s jewelry does something I’ve never seen before . . . Her necklace starts going berserk as a spirit apparently tries to get her attention. She then hears a familiar voice come across the spirit box and immedi ately bursts into tears. The voice talking to her, she believes, was an old volleyball coach who passed away. Listen again closely and you can even hear a tiny voice reply “hi” at this part. Chris Moon says “aw” and points to the box when he hears it. This video certainly captured some convincing evidence of the spirit world, that Chris is trying to prove exists. 8. This video, taken at the North Dallas High School in Texas by a YouTuber named SmaurtDollfin, captures a very hard-to-find figure at the end. I’ve highlighted the possible ghost so that you can see it more easily. This is without a doubt the colorless outline of a human.\r\n\r\nYou can even see his feet shift a little bit as he changes his stance if you look closely enough. With this in mind, the question becomes whether or not this person was living when this video was recorded. I guess it wouldn’t be too hard to make somebody look all-grey like this with some decent editing equipment but let me know if you think this is a genuine ghost or just a fake. 7. Three students somehow sneak into the Garland Highschool in Texas after hours to search for paranormal evidence of a girl who supposedly passed away in the cafeteria a long time ago. They stand around talking about her for almost a full minute and even jokingly make some crass remarks at her expense when suddenly a noise interrupts their conversation. They turn around and the two girls immediately notice something that neither the third friend or his camera can see at first. What appears to be a pale ghostly figure reaches out to them, perhaps in anger at their remarks.\r\n\r\nI find it extremely interesting that the ghost in question does not appear. I guess paranormal physics do not have to follow our rules. With this in mind, I wouldn’t be surprised if whatever the camera picked up looked nothing like what they actually saw in person. 6. Two students are racing down a flight of steps when an insidious spirit rushes up and sweeps one of them off of their feet. A paranormal tug-of-war match ensues as the frightened student tries to free his friend from the clutches of this malicious shadow fiend. Eventually the evil entity lets go and dematerializes behind them as they run up the steps. Many people think that this was an actual possession attempt caught on video, and that this person would have been a goner for sure if not for the quick reactions of his friend. I’m not sure whether or not I believe that theory so please let me know what you think.\r\n\r\n5. This group of friends decide to go into an old middle school that’s rumored to be haunted. The building has only recently been abandoned and it’s still in relatively good condition so there’s not much to say until they come to one section of the school that’s much darker and filled with mold. The group still feels safe in their large numbers down here and they bravely trudge through a series of musty hallways. They don’t see anything out of the ordinary, but when they put the video on YouTube later, somebody points out a possible shadow figure in the distance during this part in particular. I personally think it could just be stacked debris, but then again, I can somewhat make out the feint outline of a shadow that’s roughly the size of a child. The more I look at it, the more I can notice its legs and head in particular. Let me know if you agree or if you think I’m looking into the situation too deeply. 4. britannsmith is hanging around her dorm room when she notices something is apparently laying in bed with her.\r\n\r\nAn invisible force appears to be pressing up and down on the flowery design of her covers right before her very eyes. I will admit that it’s hard to tell if something is on top of the covers or simply underneath, in which case it could be anything and not necessarily paranormal. britannsmith describes this as a ghost in her dorm room, but I’d like to know if you agree with her or not. 3. Myanmar Celebrity and News: This girl is surrounded by a group of worried elders after school. She is rumored to have somehow become possessed by a demonic spirit during class. This happened somewhere in Myanmar, a nation in southeastern Asia that’s close to Thailand and Nepal. Tell me what you think she is being shown on the phone during this part and what she is saying in response. At one point she is surrounded by people chanting prayers as she convulses and screams. According to the description of this video, she was later taken to a local monastery where she managed to recover from whatever it was that was causing her to act like this. Whether her source of anguish was supernatural or of her own delusional manifestation is a question I’ll leave you to answer.\r\n\r\n2. A Halloween football at Sylmar High, California picked up what could be the ghost of an old football player going for one last tackle. The mother did not remember to even look at this video until a full month later. Let me know if you think she has made a valid discovery or if this is some kind of camera malfunction. As the theory goes, sometimes kids are able to see into the spirit world more clearly because their perception of reality is not yet fully formed. Watch these videos and tell me if you think these children are just using their imagination or if they are actually seeing something paranormal. 11. James Paar: James Paar records his young nephew as he shrieks at something he sees on the wall. This continues for quite some time. It’s hard to tell what the child is thinking, but it seems like a combination of nervousness and excitement. More than once he appears to back away as if he is fearful of something that is nearby. The child does seem to be completely fascinated by an otherwise blank wall, which is strange, but I am not so sure that this video is paranormal. The kid may just be playing games with his own shadow. What do you think is going on here? 10. Stephanie Jenkins is filming her child at the bottom of some steps when suddenly she goes from smiling to startled.\r\n\r\nThe child definitely looks like she saw something, but she takes a few steps into the next room and then quickly forgets about it. Some people have noticed what appears to be an orb float overhead. While some people think this could be a speck of dust or something similar, others think it could be a long lost relative paying their respects to the next generation of kin. 9. Dan Sutherland has a very non-descript closet in his room with a plain looking wooden door. For some reason, his baby girl Lilly has taken an extreme interest in the closet lately and he thinks he might know why . . . There’s absolutely nothing about the outside of the closet that should attract Lilly’s attention for a single second, but her gaze seems utterly transfixed at times.\r\n\r\nThere is, however, something inside that she might be interested in, though she should have no idea of its presence or its implications. As it turns out, Lilly’s grandmother recently passed away, and inside of that closet is the very same shirt her grandma was wearing on that day, along with some other personal belongings. What’s even more strange is that Dan recently moved them into the closet on the day before Mother’s Day. Prior to this, Lilly had never really taken notice of the closet much before.\r\n\r\nNow Dan is wondering if Lilly is detecting her grandma’s presence and quite honestly, so am I. If you can think of any reason for Dan’s daughter to look over at that ordinary-looking closet with such a pleased expression on her face for so long, please let me know. I personally have no idea what could be holding her attention like that except for her grandmother’s comforting presence. 8. JULIUSKITTY has a child who won’t stop looking up at the same spot on the ceiling and laughing for no apparent reason.\r\n\r\nIt’s almost as if someone or something is putting on a little show just for her, but clearly nothing is up there. After giggling for quite some time, the child suddenly grows silent and leaves the room while still looking up. The toddler follows whatever it back into the room and tries to get his parents to see what she’s looking at by pointing. Then she goes back over to the same spot and reaches up at the ceiling again. This time, it’s almost like she wants to be picked up by whatever it is that she sees. If this is a spirit, then whatever form it’s taking does not appear to upset the child. If anything, the toddler seems fascinated with its presence and wants to get a closer look. Let me know what you think this was, and if it is paranormal, tell me if you think this is a good spirit (maybe even that of a relative) or a bad one who is trying to gain the trust of a child.\r\n\r\n7. Susan Payton1 is enjoying some quality time with her family when she and her husband both notice something grab the attention of their infant toddler. The child’s face changes from amusement to confusion as he apparently turns to watch something pass by. Then, moments later, an orb silently streaks overhead. Even stranger are the song lyrics playing in the background. Something appears to walk past the child and possibly exit the room just as the children’s song announces “say bye-bye”.\r\n\r\n6. That’s the reaction of a YouTuber’s daughter when asked to identify the man on the stairs. Her mom is very curious and wants to know more about what her daughter thinks she is seeing. “Man stairs”, her daughter says in a tiny British accent. It would almost be cute if the paranormal implications weren’t so terrifying. After all, she is talking about being watched by a stranger in their own living room. As the video continues, you can tell the girl becomes more afraid to look up from her toys. She obviously does not want to see the man by the stairs anymore, though I have no idea what he looks like or what he’s doing. The girl does not seem to be smiling or showing any other signs of making up a story, so I am inclined to believe this potential ghost sighting could be real.\r\n\r\nLet me know if you agree or not. 5. FoolyLiving is alone with her child when she hears a loud bang outside followed by the electricity shutting off. A short while later her son Raphael starts talking to someone who isn’t there. His mom is busy doing the dishes in the other room when all of this starts happening. When his mother returns to check on him, she notices he appears distracted. It soon becomes apparent that that her son’s attention was being divided between her and someone else in the room, but she is the only one with him. Let me know if it looks like he is having trouble focusing here or not, and if you think a spirit could be to blame. 4. carleeoaxaca has a two-year-old daughter who refuses to enter a certain room in the house at any time, day or night. She stands at the entrance and timidly looks around with her hand covering her mouth, not even daring to go inside when her mother asks. Years later, when their daughter could talk more clearly, she would go on to recall a “scary man” who lived in the closet.\r\n\r\nHe had red eyes and an all red-and-black face. Let me know if you think this is really what she was seeing in this video or if the child is simply making up a scary story to trick her parents. I will add that, according to the uploader, this was not the only strange occurrence to take place in their household. Her son would describe a boy named Marcus who would try to play with him sometimes. All family members would also get deep red scratches around the arms a lot for no reason at all.\r\n\r\nEventually they moved and have not been bothered since. 3. This child is learning how to play peek-a-boo when she apparently loses her balance and topples over. Except, when you take a closer look, you’ll see that the girl’s feet appear to be firmly planted on the ground the entire time. Upon closer inspection, it looks as if she falls over unnaturally, almost like she’s been shoved. There is now a fierce online debate as to whether this child was pushed by an invisible force or merely fell over by accident. I know that kids don’t have the best balance, so she could have fallen over on her own, but the way she takes a couple steps back also makes me think that something paranormal is at play here.\r\n\r\n2. This video was supposedly taken during a family meal somewhere in Japan. A girl points behind the camera and speaks, but I’m not sure what is being said here. All I know is that in the reflection of a nearby mirror is the grainy outline of a tall man standing in the doorway. Look closely and you can even see a patch of dark hair on its head, but no face at all. It’s probably just scripted because the timing is too good, and also these do kind of look like special effects, but I’m not so sure. Let me know if you think this child was an actor or if this was real. And if this was real, then I have no idea what happened to the poor mother and daughter next. A child is sitting in a highchair happily learning about the different names for various parts of the body when something briefly interrupts the innocent lesson.\r\n\r\nThe child tracks an invisible object with an exaggerated head motion. Then he mumbles about a ghost. It’s hard to tell what he says, but I think he might have said “there’s the ghost” or something along those lines, almost as if he’s seen it before and has been expecting to see it again for some time. The child thinks for a bit and then says something else that’s really weird. It almost sounds like he’s asking if his dad got the ghost, or something like that. It’s hard to tell what he says here so give me your best guess. Maybe together we can figure out the surrounding circumstances behind this video. Anyway things go back to normal for a bit but and it looks like the paranormal encounter is over.\r\n\r\nBut then he makes a really confused face and looks around again, saying something else that’s completely indecipherable. Even if we were to know the identity of the child in this video, I doubt that they would remember anything of use. This is Cynthia Sue Larson with RealityShifters dot com and I'm here today to talk to you about meeting my future self. I've got an amazing story to tell you, and it goes way back to my past when I was a teenage girl and I had just fallen asleep. I was beginning to dream, and I had a dream that was realer than reality. It's one of those things that just feels like I'm still awake. It's basically a lucid dream, because I was awake in the dream. I knew I was dreaming, but at the same time I was experiencing something that seemed completely real. The odd thing is, what was happening at that time, was that I was meeting my future self.\r\n\r\nAnd the way I experienced this in the dream was that a person who looked very much like me, but some decades older, was floating... walking... through the mirror sliding glass doors that covered my closet... across the floor... and she was thinking to me and I was talking back to her. Apparently, I was talking out loud, because my father later came to my room, woke me up and asked me if everything was OK.\r\n\r\nI assured him that it was, although I didn't know how to explain what just happened. But the experience is a little bit stranger than that, because this future self of mine continued walking across the floor, approached the desk that I still have to this day, opened the bottom drawer, retrieved a letter from the desk, continued calming me down... thinking things to me instead of talking out loud.\r\n\r\nI was still talking out loud back to her in the dream, and I don't usually talk in my sleep... in fact, just about never. And then she returns the way she'd come. The next morning, I found that that letter that had been in my desk was missing. It's an experience I write about in my new book, \"Reality Shifts: When Consciousness Changes the Physical World.\" I've got a picture of what I looked like back then. You can see this picture here.\r\n\r\nAnd... it's an amazing experience to have something like this happen. It's hard for me to put into words what it feels like. But there have been other times that I've talked about on these videos and also on my blog and my reality shifters website about the Vardøgr phenomenon, which is a Norwegian term for people people arriving before they actually get there. It's something that the Norwegians have known for a long time. Scandinavians, too. It's a worldwide phenomenon. So there's this idea of a time loop that can occur at times. and this month, March 2012, I was writing in my blog this month about a woman who was driving a green Subaru in British Columbia. She was going to pick up a friend, and she knew that her bike that... her friend was arriving on a bicycle. So she had the bike rack attached to the car.\r\n\r\nHer car was pretty unique on that country road at that time. And on her way, driving to go pick up her friend, she saw herself driving that same brand-new green Subaru with the bike rack on the back. Her... herself didn't seem to acknowledge her, and they were going opposite directions. By the time she reached the place where her friend would have arrived from the ferry with the bicycle, her friend assured her, \"I don't need a ride.\" \"I'd rather dry off by riding my bicycle.\" And so, astonished, and feeling a little bit shaken up, she ended up driving the same way back that she had just seen her future self. So I think this is interesting, that sometimes we do actually witness our future selves.\r\n\r\nIt's something of tremendous interest to me. Nike is the most counterfeited brand in the world. In 2015, GOAT was established to help solve the problem. I've been collecting sneakers since 2002. I've been a sneaker authenticator for two years. Shortly, we're gonna have some of our friends come by and try to guess between some of our real and fake shoes and see how good they do.<br><br>Now, these are the Jordan 1 off-whites designed by Virgil Abloh. - This is impossible, okay-- - I tell people usually, what are you looking at-- - I'm looking for the stitching right now. The stitching sometimes is sloppy on fake Jordans. Well, that didn't work because it's pretty clean. Okay, let's feel the quality of the leather. Oh I don't know what the quality of the leather is on the off-white because is it tumbled? - It's straight, it's smooth straight leather.<br><br>- I'm gonna go with this is fake. - Oh man, is that your final answer? - Well, you do know the answer, right? - Is that your final answer? You're putting everything on it - Uh, it's an educated guess based on just the craftsmanship of the shoe. - You're gonna be rocking some fake shoes because you got it wrong. (laughs) - God damn it, yeah okay. - We have the Jordan 11 'Bred' or Playoff 11. These were made famous when Jordan came back and won his fourth championship with the Chicago Bulls. - So, immediately I am flummoxed by this because these look identical. I have a guess, I studied for a very long time. This is the real one. I'll say why, even though I'm probably about to look real stupid. On the stitching on the tongue here, this seems like kind of a looser stitch compared to that. This just seems a little tighter, this is a little more frayed and loose, this looks a little bit more like, legit.<br><br>So I think this is probably real. - Okay, which one smells off to you? (upbeat music plays) - This one smells off. This one smells like a new shoe, this one doesn't have a smell. - We'll be putting you in training. - Oh my God. (wrong answer buzzer) - These are the Jordan 1 'Banned', they came out in 2016. These were made famous because Jordan wore these, this colorway that was banned and the NBA actually covered the fine every time he wore them. - Let's just go with clear look and color, seems even on both.<br><br>There's a little fray here, a little bit. Are these worn, brand new, never worn? The stitching on here is a little bit more worn, for sure. This is clean, clean lines we got going on here. These lines are a little bit more frayed, as you can see. They're a little more fluffy, if you will. It's not on par with the Jordan brand normally. - That gave me nothing, I don't know. These smell minty fresh, are these worn? I could be wrong. I probably am wrong. I'm gonna go with these are real. - Yeah, you're right. The inside tag of this one shockingly looks pretty standard. - I was looking at this little tag here on the tongue, just because I think as much as you can perfectly copy something, there's something about the Jordan symbol. They look really different, and this one just seems a little bit like it's trying to copy. This is the real shoe. This is the fake shoe. Am I right or wrong about that? I couldn't even imagine something like that. Yeah Okay, first impressions what you got which theme of the new one? Oh, yes and Turner. I was looking at the table. Yeah, okay My first impression is that man I'll miss my pair that Nike you on the back But you can't go wrong with that.<br><br>I love my 2000 pair. I just couldn't wear it anymore, right? You know what I'm saying, but I feel like the more I wore it. I'm just like man I'm devaluing the shoe so much and I feel like I can't really Rocky like I want to ride a fuck work Have you worn yours? However worn yes Okay before like I've been through three pairs and this Specific parent never been worn out of all the shoes I ever had the infrared six of my favorite shoes, right? So I was like I'm willing to sacrifice the little bit of money that I spent back in the day to get these Yeah and know that they're just gonna go on the wall forever cuz this is a part of my collection And I can't get rid of it I mean the new pair looks pretty similar to the pair that came out last this pair came out way in 2016 This was 2014 14.<br><br>Okay. Yeah, he was like it was yesterday, right? Yes, that's crazy. Um, but yeah, they're really really similar There are some differences but I mean overall like you're not really gonna be able to tell the difference of a size Yeah, I think the ankle is the biggest thing for me Yeah on this side right here, which we'll see more in the in-depth review of the shoe But I think the ankle is definitely a seller for me. I just I don't like how it's so smooth I'm not a fan of that. I need that definition and decided to put yeah, so let's get into In-depth comparison between all the shoes. So you guys can see the differences and then we'll be right back - The infrared six boy boy boy. This thing is fired So let's go ahead and start with the basics this thing releases February 16th. That's a Saturday retail $200 should be available at most local retailers and on sneakers app if you don't know about that So today I want to talk about a couple of different shoes We don't have the original but we have every other release that's came out over the past 20 years or so we're gonna go with the 2014 the 2010 the other 2000 team and then the 2004 now with that we're gonna show you a couple of differences between the materials and the cuts of the shoe So let's start with the first one.<br><br>Here's a look at the 2019 and here's a look at the 2014 now you can see the difference in the cut a little bit on the toe as a little bit less Boxy on the toe you would say and there's a lot more definition in the ankle We have 3m on the holes on the inside of each shoe, which is dope But you can definitely tell the difference on the size of the holes and the placement on the shoe now, let's go to the 2010 infrared pack so obviously you can tell the materials are extremely different and the outsole has a different hue to it is more yellow over vibe because it was a clear household or not the Blue tint also that they have been doing recently. Other than that with the materials and the color. I think that the 2010 is a little bit nicer I think overall it's just missing that Nike Air that's up for you to decide Leave a comment down below on how you feel about this compared to the 2010.<br><br>Okay Now, let's take it to the other 2010 release. This is the brad six not the infrared six so they made the red in a bread colorway and The upper is pretty similar to the infrared pack that released in 2000 as well. It's also thick suede Compared to the Nuba that was on the original six So it's kind of a different vibe, but very very similar in shoe. Which one do you guys like more? Don't forget to drop a comment down below Okay now to the biggest comparison of all This is the one that everybody's been asking for the 2000 infrared syncs with the nike air And then you have the 2019 in forensics Now you can tell the difference between the two in the shape just off rip. You can see that that 2004 head six is a lot higher cut around the lace holes compared to the new one is more sleek It's a little bit more boxy on the toe on the 2000 pair I guess you could say but it's a shorter coat if that makes any sense to you.<br><br>So look at the comparison between the two Obviously, I love oh gee vibes This one did not have the three him in it the og 1991 pair did have a three a minute I think that's a great hair for the new 2019 pair So we give away a pair of these infrared sixes in our next raffle. No Well, I guess Spike Lee says no so we won't. All right. Let's take it to the heel of the shoe I'm gonna keep the left foot the same and I'm gonna switch the right foot throughout so you can see the differences between a shoe Coming in first now I want to show you the difference between the heel on the 2014 pair if you look at the bubbles on the Ankle, you can see how much more slim they are. And that's the fact of the shoe that I really really do Not like I think it's kind of like a cheesy kind of dumbed down more stiff version and a lot of people weren't really impressed with the 2014 infrared and I think this one will definitely blow that one out the water now Let's go to the 2010 retro and the other Brad retro.<br><br>They look very very similar So we'll just talk about the infrared retro this one Obviously, you can tell the difference between the heel on the jump man in the nike air But besides the mat it actually looks pretty good The materials are obviously different but the shape and the form of the shoes pretty similar now This is the one that everybody's been waiting for right nike air versailles gear So if you look at the material on the back of the infrared six, it's always had that kind of waxy kind of new but vibe to it and This one doesn't really have it on the 2019 compared to that og kind of classic vibe So I think that's one takeaway besides from that the shape in the forms Obviously the nike air is a little bit bigger on the new pair but I think I think they did a good job on replicating it here is a look at the new infrared and the old and Forest and then this is a pack infrared in the old infrared so you can tell the pack infrared is a little bit closer To the old infrared.<br><br>Okay. Now I want to take it into the soul real quick. Just show you guys a couple differences It's all basically pretty much the same just time and age has made the yellowing happen So there's nothing really too much to show you guys here on the soles Now if you look on the pull tabs, you see this one has Nike and a jump man This actually has never been done before on any of the retros from 2002 Now here's a look at all the shoes from 2000 to 2019. I love this shoe But I think that these really do a good job, you know replicating the 2000 pair. Hmm They're never gonna match the infrared. That's just I don't think it's ever gonna happen again. It's a little bit more British looking another compared to these Yeah, and I think another thing that takes away from that is the outsole with the being so blue It kind of makes this pop even more right? So that might be a deciding factor on it But the end of day, this is a cop for sure.<br><br>I need to pair We yeah, I definitely think there are cop for sure is that classic sure you can't go wrong with any of these um we got the pack got these joints and I'll definitely to give me I don't know if I'll double up on them cuz At this right it's looking like I can get another pair next year because I'll probably come out of here but uh, yeah, I think they're super clean and I love that hits the nike air, you know, that's a classic look but Let's be honest. The market doesn't care about 90 here anymore. Right? Let's be less before oh Yeah, like five years ago four years ago This would have been super dope.<br><br>People would have been going crazy But the nike air really doesn't mean anything anymore and it's been watered down, but that's totally fun I think it's a dope hit still. How do you feel about the bread? I love the bread. I thought it was dope and then You know, yeah and jay-z during that whole era of yeah famous for sure Watch the throne like that's you right there Once you put that on that shoe automatically shot up and price like crazy And you know we continue to talk about price that's like a very very important part of the mark of this Sneaker collecting in general is understanding What makes the price go up and Kanye West? Was that person so you brought these out if you have the black the Brit ones and rock scene in threes Aqua, a lighting hoop and a pair of aqua they went up So this this year right there kind of reminds me of that whole era.<br><br>I had a couple pairs of these Um, see I got my wears in mind. Yeah, and I have I still have one more pair left But yeah these were definitely a go-to and then this is one of those shoes like the playoff eights where you can just rock and rock and rock on right clean them up and They live I still think that this shoe is gonna have a solid value Remember that this one came out and it was sold for a little bit and then it kind of went up to like the 350 Range, some people was getting more for it. The videos have been widely shared and scrutinized and a lot of people think that this is the first real evidence that extraterrestrials exist and that they're visiting us here on earth. There's just one thing - most people in the scientific community don't think these videos prove anything.\r\n\r\nPeople have been claiming to see UFOs for decades  and countless videos purporting to show alien aircraft have been popping up since the invention of film, but this video is unique. It was released by the Department of Defense which found the video noteworthy enough to study, then release, which is a first for the US government.\r\n\r\nUntil 2012 the DoD says it ran a secret advanced aerospace threat identification program. The program was funded by 22 million dollars worth of  \"black money\" those are funds the Pentagon sets aside for classified programs.  Both airplanes see disturbance in the water and a white 40 foot long tic-tac shaped object. This commander was one of the Navy pilots that spotted the UFO get over to the eight o'clock position \"It's at about the two o'clock position and I decide I'm gonna go and see what it is and it's about 2,000 feet below me and I cut across the circle and as I get within about a half mile of it it rapidly accelerates to the south in about two seconds and disappears.\"\r\n\r\nAll this seems pretty incredible so why don't scientists care? I think it's very very difficult as a scientist to look at something like this and say anything except what's intriguing.  We spoke to Caleb Scharf.  He's an astronomer and director of the multidisciplinary Columbia astrobiology Center. He says \"I would need a vast amount more documentation and context to really understand what's going on here yeah because I think that that's exactly yeah one cannot tell much from the video.\" That's Carolyn  - she's an assistant professor at Purdue school of Aeronautics and Astronautics - \" I would like to know more about wind what was the turbulence.  With a lot of unexplained natural phenomena on the earth that in the Earth's atmosphere that don't require so the further investigation but again it's jumping to saying that what you're seeing could be some advanced technological alien spacecraft but that's a really big leap to make.\"\r\n\r\nWhat they're talking about is the scientific method. Before scientists will accept something as fact a lot of research and testing has to be done and it has to take place in a controlled environment you can't really set up thorough proper scientific experiment its reliance on serendipitous data that's one of the most difficult kinds of problems solved in science so I'm not surprised that we don't have a good answer yet but these videos were released by the US government there has to be some significance there right?\r\n\r\nThe spirits have opened us about it and if you don't know what you're looking at then throw it out to the world and say look this is what we got you could interpret it in a variety of different ways if we're just going off of the scientific method hard evidence and akincana of data are the best metrics for explaining this phenomenon but what if you did see it for yourself would you still need an experiment to explain it so bottom line what do you think this was I believe as do the other folks that were on the flight that we visually saw that it was something not from this world the commander is not alone the videos continue to be scrutinized by a lot of people who think that this is an alien spacecraft as for the DoD other than releasing the videos they haven't said much presumably they have access to more data from the flight and from reports made immediately after the encounter releasing more info could begin to answer scientists questions but ultimately even that might not be enough on the one hand I could be really cynical battles it but I think it's wonderful that people are intrigued by phenomena that they see out in the world that that's a good thing that's a positive thing our curiosity is a positive thing and to be honest if there are any strange things floating around up there I'd like to know what they are the difficulty with this kind of problem is that you can't plan for.<br><p>As found on <a target='_blank' href='https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82g0gZgptJ4' rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Youtube</a></p><br /><center><hr/><em>Posted from my blog with <a href='https://wordpress.org/plugins/steempress/'>SteemPress</a> : http://as19.com/why-scientists-dont-freak-out-about-ufo-videos/</em><hr/></center>",

In other words, flickering lights, running faucets, and missing items were often precursors to hauntings that, in these cases, became far more sinister. 15. “The Night Stalker”: This woman claims that she would go to bed at night only to be woken up by strange noises and left with the unshakeable feeling that she was not alone. When she sets up a camera to record some evidence, she finds this bizarre footage the next day. Imagine watching yourself trying to sleep while this figure haunts your dreams. At one point the supposed phantom appears to be lunging at her. She says that she believe she was still awake during this point and remembers seeing nothing. Only when the contrast on the video was enhanced did anything become visible. 14. “The Ghost Pusher”: This footage comes from India, where a woman is seen cleaning up at a sink. Suddenly a dark figure appears behind her and gives her a hard shove from behind.\r\n\r\nShe turns around only to find the room empty and hurries away. 13. “The Mirror”: A security camera records a woman as she sits in a dance studio with her back to the mirror. Suddenly her reflection turns around and stands at her menacingly. The woman continues on her daily routine and simply walks away, completely unaware of the danger behind her. If this video is real, then I can only imagine what would have happened if she had walked towards it instead. 12. “The Light Sensitive Ghost”: This video comes from another country, but you don’t have to know the language to understand what’s going on. A group of kids appear to have broken into some type of amusement park late at night and now they are now exploring the area. They are commenting on the various pieces of equipment when they come across a large replica of a woman that makes them fall silent. She is very pale with an expression of surprise and displeasure, almost as if she can see them and knows what they are up to. They move their flashlight over its eyes and the tall figure blinks once at them.\r\n\r\nThe scared group goes off running and later submits their amateur footage to the local news. It’s then loaded onto YouTube soon after. 11. “Ghost Grabbed”: A man is walking down a hallway with both hands in his pockets when something suddenly materializes in front of him. The shadowy mass shoves him to the ground and drags him across the floor by his ankle with all of its strength. It suddenly disappears and he scrambles to his feet and runs away at full-speed. The YouTube community seems split as to whether or not the surveillance video left behind is fake or real. 10. “Barry Can’t Breathe”: According to a team of ghost hunters, this house in San Pedro, California has long been haunted by poltergeists who like open cupboards, throw plates, change television channels, and linger in certain rooms until a mother and her two children felt uncomfortable enough to leave.\r\n\r\nA lot of the events happened before the ghost hunters became involved, and therefore were never recorded, but it wasn’t uncommon for red liquid to drip from the walls of this haunted home for no explainable reason. Here is a quick clip of this happening in real time before the team’s very eyes. Eventually the ghosts drive the mother and her children out of the home, and the ghost hunters volunteer to stay there and investigate for several months. One day they hear three loud snapping noises coming from the attic and send a man named Barry to investigate. As he later recalls, something was up there waiting for them. Barry comes back down distraught and confused, now missing his glasses. Some kind of cord is wrapped around his neck, and he insists that something had tried to choke him upstairs in the attic. The investigation was called off not long after out of a concern for the team’s personal safety.\r\n\r\n9. “The Dining Room”: A man claims that he keeps experiencing paranormal activity in his dining room and nowhere else He feels unsafe and decides to leave a camera running in the dining room to see what goes on when he’s not around. Nothing happens for a while, but then something comes along in the window that looks questionable. This is the zoomed in version.\r\n\r\nA tiny face appears to peek out at them from the glass panel on the bottom right before darting out of sight. You can’t really make out any of its features, but notice how some orbs float by shortly before this happens. It’s hard to tell if it’s a paranormal creature or just a small animal, but I wouldn’t want to be left alone in the house to find out. 8. “The Apartment Haunting”: A YouTuber named Joseph Chansuolme is absolutely positive that a ghost has been playing tricks on him, so he sets up a camera to record his apartment at night, since that’s when the majority of his otherworldly interactions have occurred.\r\n\r\nIt’s past one in the morning when orbs begin to dash wildly overhead like fireflies. Then something turns on the bathroom lights and puts the faucet on full blast. Soon the door shuts by itself, and maybe it’s just me, but I think I hear a really weird noise after it closes, kind of like a sigh. Listen to this and let me know if you hear it, too. So anyway Joseph wakes up after a while and he hears the sink running. He immediately checks all around his bathroom only to find it’s completely empty. It’s important to note that I didn’t see any editing cuts between when the sink turned on and when he checked the room. If this is a fake, it’s very convincing. Here’s another video of the sink on a different night, this time taken in front of a mirror to show that no one was around. Joseph eventually moved away before the paranormal tampering could escalate into something more dangerous. 7. “Alcatraz”: A man is walking around the infamous Alcatraz when he picks up two possible paranormal encounters. I’ll start with the weirdest one first. He is inspecting a row of holding cells when a loud voice seems to call out to him with a single question.\r\n\r\nIt sounds to me as if the deep voice is asking one simple word: “why”. The second possible encounter occurs as he is entering another part of the prison. Listen to this strange and haunting laugh. This one has a fairly reasonable explanation. Alcatraz is on an island, so maybe this was a bird call echoing off of the prison’s walls. I can’t tell for sure, so let me know what you think about these two events. 6. “The Sleep Watcher”: After multiple nights of getting no sleep and experiencing a deep sense of dread, this person sets up multiple cameras to record exactly what happens to them at night. When they check out the cameras the next day, they find this strange encounter. A faint shadow appears to linger above them for a moment before fading away. It has an unnatural shape and almost seems to reach out at them. This video could be fake because this person was sleeping with their lights on, which is strange.\r\n\r\nBut then again, maybe they were just trying to make sure there was plenty of light to catch the ghost on video. Some people have even suggested that this person was having an out of body experience during REM sleep. 5. “The Museum Curse”: Museum maintenance workers in Manchester , England were very suprised when this ancient Egyptian statue began moving by itself. It would always shift in its display case when they aren’t looking, and when they put it back in its spot, it would just move again on its own later.\r\n\r\nAfter determining that this was not some kind of prank, the museum workers became extremely curious and set up a camera. They were stunned to find the 4-thousand year old statue gradually moving in a perfect circle completely by itself on camera. Scientists studied this video extensively and eventually concluded that vibrations from foot traffic and nearby buses were causing the small figurine to shift in place. However, museum workers note that this figure has been a part of their collection for 80 years, and it has never moved before, so this reason is not exactly foolproof. Also, none of the other museum artifacts have ever displayed this kind of behavior, which has led many YouTubers to believe that this explanation is merely a coverup for the paranormal truth, and possibly a dangerous curse. 4. “Billy’s Dinner”: A child is left alone for just a moment, but still long enough for her to have a possible conversation with a ghost. Look across from her at the wrapped silverware in front of the glass and watch what it does as she speaks.\r\n\r\nThe silverware moves all by itself shortly after she reminds an invisible person that it is not their dinner. She could be talking to an imaginary friend, but that doesn’t explain how the object moved without being touched. The ghost appears to leave her alone after this brief interaction and she happily resumes eating as if nothing happened. Exactly what it was planning to do to their food could be anyone’s guess. 3. “The Red Possession”: A woman appears to be obviously distressed and possibly possessed as she coughs up red liquid during a ritual exorcism. She coughs and gags until the front of her shirt is covered in a crimson liquid bubbling forth from her mouth. She spits out the red liquid out again and again. The man chants over her and jumps up and down with her until she stops speaking in tongues and appears to calm down.\r\n\r\nThe audience claps and the video ends. 2. “The Stairway”: This CCTV footage shows a young woman hurrying down a flight of steps only to find something waiting for her at the bottom of the stairwell. The shadowy figure turns towards her and if you look closely, you can almost make out the circular white outline of a face. She bolts away and the apparition quickly pursues. If this video is real, then nobody knows what happened next or if she even survived. The paranormal specialist they were seeing suggested that they record every moment inside of the house for evidence. The couple is arguing about how inconvenient this is when suddenly something bad happens to Paige. The door slams shut, and when the boyfriend rips the door open, this is what he sees the poltergeist doing to her. The cameraman is slammed to the ground by an invisible force as Paige rides up a wall.\r\n\r\nShe hangs suspended on the ceiling and then fall into the bathtub. She stares vacantly ahead with no emotion in her eyes as her boyfriend tries to comfort her. It is unclear if she ever recovered, or what her mental state is like now.       "body": "<p><img src='https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ubGeqS9g6po/hqdefault.jpg'><br/></p>The next episode in our series covers Brazil’s UFO investigations. The government of Brazil has openly acknowledged the UFO phenomenon since the 1950’s and has released a number of UFO files from their investigations. From 1969 up until 1972 Brazil had an official UFO research organization called The System for the Investigation of Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon. The investigations were public and the organization would often work with civilian UFO researchers. However, when the United States closed Project Blue Book the Brazilian government soon followed.\r\n\r\nOn August 9, 2010 the Commander of the Brazilian Air Force, Brigadier Junichi Saito, established Regulation 551/GC3 for UFO disclosure in Brazil. It reads “As of this date, all reports of UFO sightings sent to the Brazilian Air Force bases and filed at the Brazilian Airspace Defense Command, in Brasilia, should be sent to the National Archives, where they can be known to any person.” A leading source for UFO research in Brazil is ‘Revista UFO.’ AJ Gevaerd, a former professor of chemistry, founded the publication in March of 1988. In 2002 the magazine began a partnership with the Brazilian Center for Flying Saucer Research to produce content. Presently Gevaerd serves as the editor and has a vast editorial board consisting of about 500 members in Brazil and over 50 other countries. The website features blogs written by various researchers, videos, documentaries and photo galleries with photos from cases that currently under investigation. Brazil’s military has released some their UFO files in response to the ‘UFO – Freedom of Information Now’ campaign started in April 2004 by the Brazilian UFO magazine.\r\n\r\nThe files that are available can be downloaded from the website ufo.com.br. The disclosure process started in May of 2005 when a group of Ufologist met with the Brazilian Air Force to discuss sightings and fully examine classified documents. During that meeting the researchers were informed on procedures for UFO detection, they were also able to visit air traffic control rooms, and review 3 historical cases. Brazilian Ufologist AJ Gevaerd was part of the group and at the 2011 International UFO Congress he spoke about his involvement.\r\n\r\nThe first case the group was able to review was from 1954; it was the testimony from pilot Nagib Ayub, the head of Varig airlines. Along with crewmembers, he observed a luminous object lingering near the airliner for about two hours in the airspace above Rio Grande do Sul. The second was a well-known case was from 1977, involving dozens of sightings on the island of Colares in the Amazon forest. The group was able to view over a 100 photos from the military investigation codenamed ‘Operation Saucer.’ The local residents reported being attacked by luminous balls of light; they described them as ‘light vampires.’ After an encounter the individuals became very ill.\r\n\r\nVictims told the doctor that they felt that orb seemed to suck their blood therefore the locals gave the phenomenon the nickname ‘chupa-chupa.’ Operation Saucer lasted four months, from September to December. The full report allegedly contains over 500 photos and 3,000 witness interviews. In July 1997 Revista UFO published extensive articles on the case with interviews from the Air Force Commander in charge of the operation, Captain Uyrange Hollanda who passed away in October of 1997. According to Hollanda, \"we detected at least nine forms of objects. Probes, spaceships, flying saucer shape.” In 2005 the History Channel featured the story on UFO Files: Brazil’s Roswell. AJ Gevaerd also spoke about this case at the 2011 International UFO Congress. The third case was from May 1986; it has been called “The Official Night of UFOs in Brazil.” As many as 20 objects, each measuring over 100 meters in diameter, jammed the Brazilian air traffic control systems over 3 of Brazil’s largest cities: Rio De Janeiro, Sao Jose dos Campos and Sao Paulo. Several jets were sent to intercept with out any success. Brazil’s Minister of Aeronautics, Brigadier General Otávio Moreira Lima, spoke about the incident and said, “The radar detects only solid metallic bodies and heavy clouds.\r\n\r\nThere were no clouds or conventional aircraft in the region. The sky was clear. Radar doesn't have optical illusions.” The Brazilian Aeronautics Commission report was not released. However, the accounts of air force pilots and radar controllers were published widely in the press and later studied by Brazilian researchers. AJ Gevaerd found these documents to be a great confirmation. The Brazilian Committee of UFO researchers continues to work with the military has established a standing committee of UFO researchers. In April 2013 the researchers were able to meet with the leaders at the Brazilian Ministry of Defense. Researchers are still searching for information relating to controversial incidents. The Varginha Case is one of the most well-known cases in Brazilian Ufology. Canadian Ufologist Stanton Freidman said, “Varginha has the makings of a cosmic Watergate.” According to media reports, on January 20, 1996 three women saw an unknown creature while walking to their home. They described it as being about 5 feet tall with a thin monkey-like body and V-shaped feet.\r\n\r\nIt had a large head with 3 lumps on it, brown skin and big red bug-like eyes with a strong unpleasant odor. The Brazilian media was saturated with speculation. There were soon rumors of other creatures, UFO sightings and alleged military involvement. The Brazilian government denies capturing the creature during the incident, but some researchers have their doubts. Commemorative statues of the creature can be found all around the city of Varginha. Another famous Brazilian UFO sighting took place on Trindade Island. On January 16,1958 Admiral Saldanha was conducting geophysical research on a Navy training ship with professional photographer Almiro Baraúna on board. Around noon a UFO came toward the island at high speed, hovered for a moment, went behind a peak and then went back toward the sea. Baraúna managed to get four photos of the object. Today I am in Ireland. I'm here to check out one of the world's most haunted castles. I'm so stoked to be here at Leap Castle, so let's go check it out. Just rocked up to the front of the castle. I was just greeted by the cutest little dog and I don't know where he's run off to now, but this place looks amazing. So Leap Castle is quite old and has become so notorious because it has a long and very dark history. It was actually built in around 1250. Now just at the top of the building is a room known as the Bloody Chapel and that place really did earn its name. It was where one of the most gruesome murders within the castle occurred, which probably caused the earliest ghosts to haunt that castle. So the story goes in the Bloody Chapel there was a priest.\r\n\r\nHe was there with his family. His brother came in and drove a sword through his back fatally wounding him. He fell to the ground and took his last breath, bleeding out in front of his family. Now, that priest is said to still haunt the Bloody Chapel to this day. Many, many people passing by the castle have noted that top window in the Bloody Chapel coming alight at night and people think that that is the priest still hanging out in that room. Another creepy thing about the Bloody Chapel is that there was a Hidden Dungeon uncovered in the 1920s which was full of Human Bones. So just heading upstairs into what is known as the Bloody Chapel that is supposed to be one of the most haunted places of Leap Castle and wear a hidden dungeon was found.\r\n\r\nCan you see? I'm gonna keep going further up this dark staircase with the hole through the floor. Seems safe. It's kind of scary. It's so dark when you turn that light off. I think that torch is dying. Yea, that will be right. I cam currently in what is known as the Bloody Chapel. It has very good reason to be named that. It is supposed to be haunted by a priest who was murdered here. I'm gonna have a look around there. There is supposedly a dungeon here which is just a drop and the story of that is they would just drop the people down there and they would be impaled on spikes that lay at the bottom of it.\r\n\r\nAnd that was actually covered up and it was revealed or found again in the 1920s. And there was that many human bones that they found in there that they extracted three cartloads out of the dungeon. So, very, very, interesting and spooky. I'm just walking down a staircase out of the chapel now and I don't know if this goes to the dungeon. There is a big hole down here. I'm really more concerned about this thing that looks like a bird nest right next to me. I am extremely scared of birds, so, can maybe deal with a dungeon but if a bird flies in here for its egg or something.. Okay so this is the hole. Yeah that is deep. That's deep. Okay. that's quite deep - I don't know if you can see as far down on my camera as I can see. That hole is deep. I don't know if that's the dungeon there's a door here and then through that it's just kind of like ruined bits of the castle.\r\n\r\nLet's go back up these stairs now. I love your choice of footwear today Jarrad. There's definitely birds up here because I can hear them. There is another drop over here. That's what I was just down that staircase. If I come over here. Okay there's another drop down here. This one doesn't look as deep but you'd still get pretty hurt if you fell down there and there were spikes at the bottom. So that's creepy. There's no window here so, I dunno, it is a pretty big drop. I am not like too scared of heights though.\r\n\r\nSo yeah, that is super cool. Yeah, the Bloody Chapel. Should we do a Spirit Box cause we have it to ourselves for a bit. This is a Spirit Box Session inside the Bloody Chapel of Leap Castle. Hi my name is Amy, is there anybody in this chapel that wants to talk to me? Could you come close and tell me your name? Is there a priest in here? How did you die? Okay, that's a dog barking, I hope. Were you killed in the dungeon here? What is your connection to the Bloody Chapel? Why are you still at Leap Castle? Can you come close and say anything to me? What is your name? How many people died? We don't seem to be getting much through on the Spirit Box so we might continue having a look around the castle. Of the more gruesome murders to happen here at Leap Castle was actually the murders of about forty men. Basically these men were invited by Leap Castle by the owners after they had helped out in a victory against another rival clan.\r\n\r\nYet, they did not know that the owners had poisoned all of their food so those forty men died during the feast here at Leap Castle and it has thought that all of their souls still haunt the castle to this day. So another one of the cool stories from Leap Castle that involves a little bit of legend and of course more murder dates back to the 1600s. So around this time the owner actually hid a large amount of treasure somewhere in the castle or its grounds. He then had the two servants that assisted him murdered so that they couldn't tell anyone where the treasure was. He later was imprisoned for treason, went a little bit insane and then when he was released from prison, couldn't remember where he hid the treasure - so there very well may be some riches still hidden in this area. Let's go look down here... Just wood - it is not the hidden treasure.\r\n\r\nThis is really, really amazing. There is lot of cobwebs everywhere that adds to the feel but then all of the paintings, the furniture, everything - it's just unreal. Like this heart. I love it. This is cool. There is like a secret room in here. I don't think we can go in there, but... Hi guys I'm in a different room of Leap Castle that is much quieter. I'm gonna try an EVP session in here and see if we can pick up on any voices in this recording that aren't mine. Hellow my name is Amy. There is another spirit that haunts Leap Castle. It is known as an Elemental Spirit which is basically a very primitive ghost that is described as being insanely scary. There has been stories and retellings of encounters with this spirit for hundreds of years. Thankfully for the current owner who I just spoke to he said that he hasn't encountered the elemental spirit at all during his time here at Leap Castle. He also doesn't want to so hopefully it stays that way. So the owner here at Leap Castle is a really really lovely chap. He is working hard to restore the castle but there's a lot of work to be done like you can see the area that I am in now is quite ruined.\r\n\r\nOh here's my little dog friend! Hello! Hello buddy! So this guy is actually a stray that just hangs around the valley and like goes to all the different houses supposedly. He has no name but everyone loves him and he's so friendly and they all just kind of pitch in and look after him. But as I was saying yeah this part of the castle was quite ruined.       "body": "<p><img src='https://i.ytimg.com/vi/mOVGJ-CejRM/hqdefault.jpg'><br/></p>What would you send an alien civilization?  hello or the whole internet? \r\n\r\nThe idea that we are alone in the universe is as one certain bulk and scientists might say illogical and I'm not saying that just because I'm fascinated with the idea of alien. Statistics are actually on my side. When you have a universe the size of ours, the odds are that there are millions of alien civilizations out there, so why haven't we heard from them yet? \r\n\r\nWell that's a question that the people at the search for extraterrestrial intelligence or SETI, have been trying to answer since the 1960s. Tey've been scouring space for evidence of ETS and they found zip, zero, nada nothing, so what's going on? Well it could be that any alien civilizations are so far away that their messages haven't had time to get to us or it could be that aliens are purposefully hiding from us or maybe they're stuck in the equivalent of the human Stone Age or even the Precambrian era or maybe we have received messages from aliens and we just don't know it yet. \r\n\r\nIt's not all that far-fetched to imagine aliens communicating in a very different way like through chemical excretions or being able to see magnetic fields. After all we have organisms here on earth that are capable of doing that so that raises the question how do we understand a message that might be coming in from an alien civilization? Well to think through the answer SETI held a conference that asked a similar question - how would we send a message out to aliens that aliens could understand? Now if we look at the previous messages we've sent out they're very limited in scope. You've got the engraved tablets aboard the Pioneer 10 and 11 spacecraft, there's the encoded radio broadcast that the Arecibo Observatory blasted off into space and then of course there are the golden records aboard the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, but all of these assume that the aliens have human-like vision and hearing plus they also require some form of decryption based on limited clues and zero context. We're not exactly setting them up for success here but the problem of choosing what and how to say something when you have no information about the recipient is nearly insurmountable! \r\n\r\nWe even encode mathematics generally considered the universal language in arbitrary symbols - after all, how is an alien supposed to know that a stick sticking another stick with double sticks is an egg? Some of the attendees said we should be sending more simplified messages into space and they used a doorbell as an example. When you hear your doorbell ring you have very little information other than someone has rung your doorbell. Presumably they did it on purpose and they are capable of ringing a doorbell and they probably have the imagination to anticipate what would happen once they rang your doorbell so actually you've got more information than you first imagined but other attendees said no no no no no no no forget the simplified messages let's go the opposite way, let's send everything!\r\n\r\nI'm talking about the entire internet -blasting it off into space. That way the aliens have a lot to draw from - they can build an understanding based on the massive amount of context they're perhaps creating a rosetta stone for the entire Earth. First of all I’m just going to set forward some preliminaries, a couple of things I’m going to assume without argument, then I’m going to give a brief overview of the kind of things that alien abductees say about their night time experiences, then I’ll give a bit more information about the kind of beliefs that they have. Then the serious stuff starts. I’ll ask how we’re going to explain why people have these strange beliefs.<br><br>I’ll suggest that we can explain it by appeal to some strange experiences they have and then I’ll ask whether that’s going to be enough. Actually it turns out it’s not going to be enough because some people have these experiences and don’t go on to develop the belief, so we need some other stuff involved in our explanation, and right at the end I’ll just gesture towards some other contributory factors which might be helping us explain why people have these beliefs.<br><br>OK, so just preliminaries to start. One note and two assumptions. The first is just a terminological note: so I’ll refer to subjects who believe they’ve been abducted by aliens as ‘abductees’. You’re an abductee if you believe you’ve been abducted, not if you’ve actually been abducted. So what ‘abductee’ is doing there is picking out what beliefs somebody has, not what has actually happened to them. So if you’ve actually been abducted you’re an abductee, but also if you believe you’ve been abducted, you’re an abductee. Related to that I’m going to assume that all beliefs in alien abduction are false. That’s to say that I’m going to assume that no human being has ever been abducted by aliens. I think that’s a safe assumption but I can go slightly weaker for people who don’t think that’s a safe assumption. So let’s say there are abductees proper, people who have really been abducted by aliens. Take that set of people, put them aside – I’m not interested in those people in this talk – I’m interested in those people who believe they’ve been abducted but they haven’t actually been abducted.<br><br>So if you want to leave open the possibility that some of these people have true beliefs, put those over there, I’m not interested in those people. I’m interested in this set of people who believe they’ve been abducted but they haven’t. OK, so focusing in on that set, my second assumption is that these guys aren’t lying. So they really believe their claims, they’re not trying to seek media attention or anything like that.<br><br>These people have not been abducted by aliens but they sincerely believe that they have. As I say, I’m not going to argue for those assumptions but you can ask me about them afterwards. OK, so a strange encounter. So in this section I just have a couple of abductee reports from a study by McNally and Clancy in 2005. So here’s the first one: ‘a female abductee was lying on her back. When she woke up from a sound sleep her body was completely paralysed and she experienced a sensation of levitating above her bed. Her heart was pounding, her breathing was shallow, she felt tense all over, she was terrified. She was able to open her eyes and when she did so, she saw three beings standing at the foot of her bed in the glowing light’. In the second report, ‘a male abductee awoke in the middle of the night seized with panic. He was entirely paralysed and felt electricity shooting throughout his body.<br><br>He felt his energy draining away from him. He could see several alien beings standing around his bed’. So now I want to talk about what these people come to believe when these experiences happen to them. So here are some common features of the alien abduction narrative. So typically what happens is that someone will have a night time experience like this, then they might seek out memory recovery sessions by hypnosis and then they get all these extra details about what happened to them. So common features, (this is from 1987), include being captured and examined by aliens, communicating with them often telepathically, seeing the spaceship, visiting other worlds, being communicated important information, and being returned to the point of abduction.<br><br>More recently, roughly the same kind of thing. These guys are doing the same thing to us. Common themes include being a participant in a hybrid breeding programme which can involve extraction of semen, sex with aliens, meeting hybrid offspring, and being subject to medical procedures on spaceships. So these are the typical things that are reported by abductees. So now I want to talk about two cases which are documented in John Mack’s book, Abduction. So he does the memory recovery sessions and he endorses the abduction explanation and these are from his point of view talking about these subjects who have had these experiences. So this is Scott’s story. So Scott’s room had no door, ‘and unexplained light was coming in from the direction of the adjacent clothes/washer dryer room. Scott’s breath was now coming in loud, short gasps as he spoke of “six” of “them” with “boxy” and “angular” heads that were “after me”.<br><br>Then he saw a “round-tipped rod” pushing towards him which Scott related to how he was anaesthetised. “They know I’m aware”, Scott said and “they put me under” so that “I couldn’t move”. At this point a “buzzing” in his right ear changed to a ringing sound and “I lost control of my body”. Then all Scott saw was a screen like a TV monitor that was “fritzing”. Memories of his life flashed before him as he felt himself struggling to protect his mind “So they couldn’t touch it”. After this he quite literally lost consciousness although he had been saying “as fast I could ‘I’ve got to remember, I’ve got to remember’.”’ And this is the case of Catherine which I’ve laid out as a transcript. So this happened to her she says when she was a young girl and she was kidnapped from a friend’s garden and when she was up on the spaceship, one of the ‘little men’ brought out a metal implement and this is what happened next, where ‘C’ is Catherine and ‘A’ is alien. So ‘what are you going to do with that?’, ‘I’m just going to make a little cut’, ‘why?’, ‘because we need a sample’. ‘No, no, you can’t cut me’, ‘we have to’, ‘no you don’t have to, that’s mean, you don’t have to do it to me’, ‘it’s for scientific research’.<br><br>‘Well why can’t you cut something else?’ and this is after the cut, ‘because we need to blood. We had to get the sample’, ‘but you didn’t tell me why’. So this is on the way back down to earth ‘I’m researching your planet’, ‘what’s wrong with my planet?’, ‘we’re trying to stop the damage’, ‘what damage?’, ‘the damage from pollution’. ‘I don’t know about that’ says this 8 year old girl, ‘you’ll learn’. And then we’re going down again ‘I’m getting closer to the ground, getting closer, getting closer’ and I’m on the ground and I want to run away but I can’t move and he says ‘we’ll be back for you’. OK, so that was the easy bit.<br><br>That was just describing what these people report on. What on earth is going on? How do we explain this, given my assumption at the beginning that all of these beliefs are false? OK, so it’s not really illuminating to just say ‘oh, these people are obviously crazy’, that’s not a very good explanation of what’s going on here. We can do better than that. So people who are interested in alien abduction belief, they like to talk about awareness during sleep paralysis, so I’ll say what that is now.<br><br>So this is described by Richard McNally as a hiccup in the architecture of rapid eye movement sleep which lasts anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. So during rapid eye movement sleep the sleeper is immobilised so motoric output is blocked. This is usually a really helpful mechanism because it stops us acting out our dreams and hurting sleeping partners. But sometimes things go really wrong and we can wake up before the paralysis has disappeared and we can become aware that we’re unable to move. And this can be accompanied, not surprisingly, by an increase in heart rate, difficulty breathing, and feelings of dread. But it’s actually quite common in the general population. Estimates vary on this but McNally and Clancy put it at 30% of the general population who have had an experience of sleep paralysis and three quarters of these people will hallucinate during the paralysis in one modality, which is just to say either visually or auditorally, whilst they’re paralysed. You can imagine how terrifying this is. Katherine Holden and Christopher French give a slightly different range, so they say it’s ‘somewhere between 25 and 40% of the population’ have had some experience of awareness during sleep paralysis. It’s not a disease or any other kind of medical condition, it’s terrifying but actually it’s harmless, it does not indicate ill-health or pathology.<br><br>OK, so that’s the first step. Then we can start talking about the hallucinations which can accompany this paralysis and these may be visual including ‘lights, animals, strange figures and demons, or auditory including heavy footsteps, humming or buzzing noises and sounds of heavy objects being moved’. So McNally and Clancy ask you to do this imaginative exercise. So ‘Imagine opening your eyes shortly before dawn, attempting to roll over in your bed and suddenly realising that you’re entirely paralysed. While lying helplessly on your back and unable to cry out for help you become aware of sinister figures lurking in your bedroom. As they move closer to your bed your heart begins to pound violently and you feel as if you’re suffocating. You hear buzzing sounds and feel electrical sensations shooting throughout your body. Within moments the visions vanish and you can move again. Terrified’—obviously—‘you wonder what has just happened’.<br><br>OK, so some people have this experience and they want to know what just happened to them. Now of course some people can just shrug it off as inexplicable or they might say ‘well, clearly I had too much to drink last night’ or maybe they actually know the explanation, maybe they spend their days thinking about hypnopompic hallucination and sleep paralysis. But for those people who don’t, they might be kind of freaked out and want an explanation of what just happened to them. So although ASP and hallucination is relatively common among the general population, knowledge of these states isn’t really. This doesn’t pop up on interview panels or on TV. So given that most people don’t know about this kind of stuff, it’s unlikely that they’re going to be able to explain their experience by appeal to these kind of explanations. So I’m willing to bet that before you guys came in here, at least some of you didn’t know about awareness during sleep paralysis and hypnopompic hallucination. If you don’t know about it, you’re not going to be able to explain your experience by appeal to it.<br><br>And though the experiences are common, they don’t indicate pathology. The general public just don’t know about this so they don’t go and say something like this, ‘oh, this is a dyssynchrony in the architecture of REM, it’ll pass’. They don’t do that. They freak out and they want to know what happened to them. OK, so this is McNally’s typical case of what happens to an abductee. They have this kind of night time experience, they wonder what happened to them, then they start reading about these experiences either online or in books. They see therapists who endorse the abduction explanation, therapists like John Mack, then they enter into memory recovery sessions via hypnosis and under hypnosis they start generating more details about the experience and what happened thereafter, including them being ‘whisked through walls up into the sky and into spaceships’, being ‘sexually probed by aliens’ and ‘involved in hybrid breeding experimentation’ before being ‘brought back down to the bedroom before the break of dawn’.<br><br>So now I want to ask whether experience is enough. So what I’ve said so far is that people have these beliefs that they’ve been abducted and all these terrible things have happened to them and we know that these kinds of experiences can be caused by awareness during sleep paralysis and accompanying hypnopompic hallucinations. So do we have a full explanation? Is that all we need to say in order to explain this? Obviously my answer’s going to be ‘no’ because I have two more sections. So does experience explain everything? It doesn’t. So in McNally and Clancy’s 2005 study, one of their twelve control subjects – so their subjects who were not abductees – reported having experienced sleep paralysis and just forgot about it. She wasn't really worried about it, she just wrote it off as inexplicable. So they say of this, ‘not all individuals experiencing sleep paralysis will seek an explanation.<br><br>Some will simply shrug it off as weird and inexplicable occurrence’, some people will know the true cause. So having the experience isn’t going to be enough to get you all the way to alien abduction belief. And in a large scale study by J. Allan Cheyne and colleagues, they surveyed 870 university students and 22.5% of them had had this kind of experience, this sleep paralysis with hallucinations. Max Coltheart who’s a cognitive scientist working on delusion, he comments on this and he says look, I don’t know how many people think that they’ve been abducted by aliens, but I’m willing to bet that ‘it’s going to be lower than 22.5%’ and if we can take that 22.5% as representative of the general population, then it looks like we’ve got people who have the experience but don’t go on to have the weird belief. So there will ‘be many people who’ve experienced sleep paralysis with hallucinations yet do not have the alien abduction belief’.<br><br>So the experience can’t be doing all of the work. So it’s not enough. So this is Max Coltheart, if we accept that ‘the experience of sleep paralysis with hallucination is what prompts the idea of alien abduction in abductees, we still need to explain what it was that turned this idea into a permanent belief in these particular people when most people who have the experience do not adopt the belief’. This is from Susan Clancy, she’s my favourite person to read on this subject. She has a book called Abduction: Why People Believe they’ve been Abducted by Aliens, which I heartily recommend. This is a quote from her. She says look, ‘when there are so many available explanations for this kind of experience, from excess carbohydrates to parental neglect, from insufficient bikram yoga to too much Prozac, why pick alien abduction? What makes abductees unusual is not the strangeness of their experiences’, we’ve already seen that’s fairly common, ‘or their desire for an explanation, but the specific explanation they choose.<br><br>Why do some people come to believe that their sleep paralysis experiences are caused by extra-terrestrials?’ and then as a funny aside she says ‘it’s not actually a very good explanation for this reason: ‘Wouldn’t you think that these mentally and technologically superior beings would have something more interesting to do, something quite possibly beyond the imagining of the human brain than to hang around North America’ – where most abductees live – ‘kidnapping its more creative and intuitive inhabitants in order to do the same experiments over and over again?’ We always hear from people that they took their genetic material to produce hybrid babies. ‘Why are these genius aliens so dim? After 50 years of abducting us, why are they still taking the same bits and pieces? Don’t they have freezers?’. So here’s a reason for thinking actually it’s not a very good explanation of their experiences. OK, so just in the last part I’m just going to gesture to what other stuff might be going on which will get us from the experience to the alien abduction belief.<br><br>So, what you might be inclined to say is that OK, the experience isn’t enough in people who are kind of mentally well but if you get someone who’s a little bit mentally unstable, plug in the experience, that will do all the work. That’s going to be a really bad explanation because actually alien abductees are mentally well people. So there’s been no convincing evidence for higher rates of ‘serious psycho-pathology among abductees compared to the general population’.<br><br>And the typical abductee though, and this is what seems to be doing some of the work, there is a little bit of oddness about them. So they have a ‘long-standing interest in New Age practices and beliefs such as reincarnation, astral projection, mental telepathy, alternative healing practices, energy therapies and astrology’ and you might think that these beliefs make abductees ‘especially prone to endorse an alien encounter interpretation of their sleep paralysis episodes’. So if you’ve got someone who already believes in this kind of stuff, then you plug in the experience, that might be enough. And this is Clancy again.<br><br>She says look, it’s kind of consistent with what we already believe. We’ve already seen the alien abduction movies, we know the kind of thing that these guys get up to when they come to earth, so when we’re looking for an explanation of an experience, assuming we’re not well read in psychology so we don’t know the true explanation, we can only choose from those explanations which we’ve actually heard of. Most of us who don’t study this stuff, a ‘set of possible explanations is far from complete’. Most of us are ‘unaware of the prevalence of sleep paralysis, sexual dysfunction, anxiety disorders, perceptual aborations, chemical imbalances, memory lapses, and psychosomatic pain.<br><br>But, our set of possible explanations does include alien abduction’… ‘everyone knows about aliens and their modus operandi’, right? We all know that ‘they come at night, fill you with terror, kidnap you and erase your memories’. We’ve all seen the films, right? This kind of explanation is available to us. So it’s also consistent with the kind of thing that we believe already – some of us. So maybe we’ve got closer to a full explanation now. So we had this experience that I outlined at the beginning but I said that’s not going to get you all the way because some people have the experience without the belief.<br><br>OK, plug in this other stuff, so New Age beliefs and familiarity with the alien abduction narrative, which people in North America - which coincidentally is where most of the abductees live - have. These other contributory factors are present in the normal population, so they’re not sort of clinically significant, they don’t make you mentally unwell if you have these New Age beliefs and this familiarity with the abduction narrative. So maybe we can get closer to a full explanation of alien abduction belief by looking at the weird experiences people have, plus some oddities found in the non-abductee population. So I’ll just leave you with this final thought from Clancy. So she says ‘at other times and other places in the world, such night terrors have been interpreted as Satan, demons, witches, dragons, vampires, large dogs and angels and erect Gorgon’.<br><br>(I don’t know what that is.) ‘Today it’s extra-terrestrials, yet although it’s true that sleep paralysis and alien abduction experiences have a lot in common’, right, ‘there’s one important difference. Sleep paralysis is a fact; alien abduction isn’t. So, if you wake up in the middle of the night, levitating above your bed and sleeping like a chicken on a rotisserie, you should understand that the experience is roughly a billion times more likely to have been caused by something normal than by something paranormal’.<br><br>‘But be careful about telling this to an actual abductee. You’ll encounter only denial, anger, blank stares or condescending smiles’.
