      "body": "In spite of the officially celebrated «Bicycle's Day» on 19 April, May is considered «Bike's Month». If someone does not know, lysergic acid (or LSD) was invented by the Swiss scientist Albert Hoffman in 1938, initially as the banal means of treating migraines. But he only experienced it himself in 1943. Feeling strange sensations and discovering an extraordinarily colored world around him, Albert did not dare to return home by car, and so rode a bike. All the major psychiatric institutions of the world began to conduct experiments on its effects on humans and animals. During the investigation thousands of scientific papers were written, 6 international conferences were held, and the drug prescribed as a cure for more than 40 thousand patients. LSD was used to treat schizophrenia and alcoholism, and quite successfully. Many scientists, however, still believe that LSD should not be considered a drug and it must be studied. Unfortunately, under the influence of LSD irreversible changes often occur in the psyche, and a bad trip happens more often than a «journey to the mysterious and fantastic country». On the other hand, it is undeniable that LSD really is the best way to «expand the consciousness».\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRay Charles\nThe famous blind musician has experimented with all drugs known to mankind. He began using drugs at 16. He believed that he had nothing to lose, and LSD enables him to see what he had not previously seen. During his unusual drug trips were created the best musical works, which entered the annals of world culture. However, his desire to \"try everything\" had led to the fact that in 1965 he was imprisoned for several months for possession of heroin and marijuana. \n\nAll this greatly affected to the life and career of the musician. Yes, everything as it should be — the flower-children, peace and love. The founder of the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia was not only a «pioneer» of psychedelic rock, but also a big fan of LSD. At that time, the doctor of psychology from Harvard, Timothy Leary explored new hallucinogen, Garcia took part in the experiment and the writer Ken Kesey (that wrote «One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest»).\n\nThen Garcia organized the commune «Merry Pranksters» in San-Francisco, to which gladly joined the band «Grateful Dead». Within this commune hippie experimented with LSD until the mid-90s, that is exactly to the moment, when Jerry Garcia died of a heart attack. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSteve Jobs\nThe founder of Apple was not averse to the use of drugs, in fact, precisely because of his addiction to LSD he was expelled from the technical college. It all began in the summer of 1974, when Jobs along with his schoolmate Daniel Kottke (later, one of the first employees of Macintosh), went on a trip to India. There he became a Buddhist and returned back with shaved bald head and with dream to explore world inside yourself. He began it with LSD, which then called «one of the two or three most important things that happened in his life».
