Looking back at that fixture, it was Melbourne City who looked much stronger, yet failed to capitalize on their chances.  Mombaerts' men shot the ball 4/16 and held onto the ball for 50% of the time. That being said, it was Victory who scored the only goal of the match, however, their enthusiasm did not last long, seeing how the goal was ruled out by VAR. Other than the disallowed goal, the match was more or less boring and bland, which was a disappointing sight to see for a Melbourne Derby match. At this point it's worth noting City were playing that fixture without their star striker Jamie Maclaren, who was on his international duty, which to some degree contributed to the blandness of the match. Had he played, we could easily imagine City winning that match, however, we will never know for sure. While it's hard to praise City too much for a draw, we can't look past the fact they are now unbeaten in the last seven matches, six of which ended in a win. At this point, it's also worth noting that City reached FFA finals by defeating Brisbane Strikers at the start of October (1:5) and are now getting ready for the grand finals against their Sunday's opponents; Adelaide United on October 23, 2019.\n\n\n**Adelaide United questionable defence**\n\nAdelaide United are entering their second fixture of the season with one big L next to their name, which they suffered at home soil in a match against Sydney FC.  Looking back at that fixture, Sydney FC opened the scoring with a 22nd-minute penalty, to which they added the second goal only six minutes later. Adelaide managed to respond in the dying moments of the first half (44'), reducing the gap to one goal as they headed to the locker rooms. The home side entered the second half with all guns blazing and managed to close the gap with the help of Toure, who scored his first goal of the season in 51st minute.  Unfortunately for Adelaide, they suffered a red card barely six minutes after equalizing the match, which tipped the scale of the match into Sydney's favour, who took over the match in the second half. The match continued and while it looked like Adelaide would manage to fend off Sydney and walk away with a point, the visitors found a way to score a goal in 87' to make it 3:2.\n\nUnlike Melbourne Derby produced, this fixture was far more exciting. While it's easy to praise Adelaide who almost chipped points from Sydney, they failed to look dangerous in the attack, where they shot only 3/14, which is not good enough.\n\n\n**Prediction**\n\nThis fixture will provide both sides a chance to redeem themselves after slow start of the season, so we can expect sparks to fly in Melbourne. Looking back at head-to-head fixtures between Melbourne City and Adelaide United, they are mostly very closely contested, which was especially true for their most recent meeting in May 2019. That said, their most recent fixture was the final game of the season, so it's easy to see why it went down to the wire. In the end it was Adelaide who came out on top with Ben Halloran's goal in 119th minute. Whether Adelaide can derail City once more is yet to be seen, but from what we have seen so far, we like the home side more. The main reason being Adelaide's poor performance in defence in their last fixture. While we must give them some slack for having only 10 men, they failed to convince us with their defensive work. On top of that their attack was mediocre at most, and while they did manage to score twice, we have to look back and remind ourselves they shot 3/14, which won't be good enough against Melbourne City. On the other side, Melbourne City will welcome back Jamie Maclaren, which will be a huge boost for their attack which should cause a lot of issues to Adelaide's defence.\n\nPrediction: Melbourne City to win",

      "body": "# FC Lahti v KPV Kokkola - Veikkausliiga\n\nFC Lahti and KPV Kokkola will clash this Sunday at Lahden Stadion in Lahti, for their 26th fixture of the season. Prior to last week's fixture against HIFK (2:2), Lahti were on a two-game winning streak, during which they defeated Rovaniemi (3:0) and VPS (2:1). Nonetheless, a draw against HIFK that followed was not all bad, considering Lahti looked very solid in the offence.\n\nLooking back at their Saturday's fixture, Lahti made HIFK's defence struggle with their aggressive approach, which proved to be a double-edged sword. Lahti used their chances very well, as they took advantage of shaky HIFK defence, but as mentioned, their strategy came with a great cost. With fast counterattacks, HIFK got their chance to shine, which against Lahti's defence was not too hard to do. Two goals came in 49th and 70th minute and HIFK managed to turn the losing match into their favour (2:1) with 20 minutes to go. That being said, their enthusiasm did not last long, seeing how HIFK conceded a goal in 72nd minute at the hands of Amione, who levelled the match at 2:2, which was also the final score.\n\n\n**KPV Kokkola avoiding direct relegation**\n\nSeeing how VPS lost their second match in a row, against Rovaniemi, KPV have more or less avoided a direct relegation, yet they still have a lot of work to do before they can take a breather.\n\nLooking back at KPV's results, they have managed to turn their dismissal run of 1-0-5 into two consecutive wins, which they earned against Rovaniemi (4:1) in round 24 and a 2:0 away win against SJK last week. That being said, KPV did not have smooth sailing against SJK, who with their high pressure made Jarmo Korhonen's men struggle in the opening 15 minutes. But the home side soon ran out of steam and once their pressure has winded down, it was KPV's time to shine.\n\nKPV took over the rhythm of the match and ran over SJK with two goals in quick succession in 24th and 33rd minute. It's also worth mentioning KPV missed a penalty in 41st minute and should they take their chances slightly better, we could imagine seeing KPV scoring at least one more in the second half.\n\n\n**Prediction**\n\nThe mood in KPV's camp is visibly positive, which we expect to translate into a confident approach to their clash with Lahti this Sunday. And to be fair, they have all the right to be positive, seeing how good the team looked like in their previous two fixtures. One thing we are still unsure about, however, is the strength of their defence. We have seen KPV struggle in the back before they started their run of two consecutive wins, and while it may seem like the team has improved in that aspect, we have to acknowledge their defence was not exactly challenged against Rovaniemi and SJK. Ostersunds are barely two points clear of the relegation zone, whereas Djurgarden race an extremely tight title race with Malmo, who, rose to the top of the league following their 1:0 win over AFC Eskilstuna.\n\n\n## Ostersunds hoping to end their six-game losing streak\n\nIt's hard to be too positive about Ostersunds and their performances so far into the season. With a 4-9-12 record to their name and a very underwhelming 0-0-6 run in the last six games, it should not come off as a surprise Burchnall's men are currently fighting for survival at the bottom of the league. It's also worth noting Ostersunds did not win a single match in the last 19 games, which basically sums up over 3/4 of their 2019 season. It still boggles my mind how Burchnall managed to keep his job, but that's not really relevant now. \n\nIt's obvious the team is struggling and should they not find it in them to produce something in the remaining five games of the season, I would not be surprised if Ostersunds ends up relegated. Especially considering Sundsvall seem to have found their rhythm and won two fixtures in a row, meaning there is only two points separating Ostersunds from the relegation zone. With that in mind, Ostersunds are desperate to win something here, which considering the quality of the opponents they will face might be easier said than done.\n\n\n## Djurgarden making a final push for the title\n\nUnlike Ostersunds, who are doing their best to keep their boat afloat, Djurgarden found themselves on the other side of the spectrum, seeing how they are on the verge of claiming their seventh Allsvenskan title and the first title in 14 years. While extremely close to that feat, Djurgarden still have five more rounds to push through during which there will be no room for mistake, considering both AIK and Malmo are strong contenders to snatch the title from them.\n\nAs it stands now, Djurgarden are trailing Malmo due to GD. That being said, Djurgarden still have one more game in hand, meaning a win or even a draw here would push them above Malmo and back to the top of the league. While it's easy to be positive about Djurgarden and their chances to win the league, considering they have a fairly easy schedule ahead of them, Blåränderna still need to avoid any upset losses, if they are serious about claiming their first championship since 2005. While we talk about upset losses, Djurgarden lost to AIK 0:1 at the start of September, which made many believe their bubble had burst. While an impressive effort throughout, Sassuolo finished barely five points above the relegation zone, which is something Roberto De Zerbi's men will want to avoid this term.\n\nAnother thing that we noticed from Sassuolo's performance last term is that they heavily rely on home form to carry them through the season. Out of 19 home games, Sassuolo earned 25 points (5-10-4), which in comparison to their 18 points on the road (4-6-9) is a noticeable improvement.\n\nSassuolo entered this season without two key players Merih Demiral and Stefano Sensi, who left the team during summer. On the other side, Sassuolo brought in some new faces, most notable of which are Ciccio Caputo, Pedro Obiang, Jeremy Tolja and Hamed Junior Traore. With a new roster and high hopes, Sassuolo ventured off into 2019/20 season and while they did not perform as well as they had hoped (1-0-2), there are some positives to take from it. The squad overall looks much more physical and imposing compared to last season, and we can also add that their midfield and attack look much stronger. They might need some more time to get into their rhythm, however, there is surely some potential as far as their firepower is concerned.\n\n\n## SPAL with a tough visit ahead of them\n\nSPAL enter their round four fixture with a 1-0-2 record. They started off the season with a 2:3 defeat against Atalanta at home, followed by a 1:0 defeat against Bologna in an away game and a 2:1 win against Lazio last weekend. All in all, they cannot be too happy with what they have shown so far, especially considering SPAL have managed to let a two-goal lead slip against Atlanta. While there is not a lot to take from their opening three matches, it's rather obvious SPAL tend to play some high scoring games, which is especially true for their road games. SPAL have seen at least three goals in last 5/6 away games, with the sole exception being the 0:1 loss to Bologna. That was also the only away game out of last seven in which SPAL did not score a goal.\n\nIn terms of last season, there was little to separate SPAL and Sassuolo as far as their final result is concerned, considering there was only one point separating them once the season came to a close. Looking back at how RoPS performed in the last 5 fixtures, they lost to KuPS (0:1), Inter Turku (3:0) and Ilves (0:1). On the positive note, RoPS won against HIFK (1:0) and most recently VPS (0:1). All in all, solid performances from RoPS, who looked good in the offensive end against Ilves and even better against VPS and while we praise their offence, there is still a lot of work to be done in their defence.\n\nSJK on the other side sit at 4th place in the league with a 3-4-2 record and 13 points. What I find interesting about this team is how they manage to concede goals in the final minutes. Looking at their last 3 fixtures, SJK could've won against HJK, but only managed to walk away with a draw (2:2), because they conceded in 90'+1. The same happened against Lahti, who scored in 90'+3, which resulted in a 1:1 draw for SJK. And in their most recent match against Honka, SJK conceded in the 87th minute, which resulted in a 1:2 defeat.\n\nTheir most recent match against Honka was weird as a whole. SJK dominated the match and even scored the opener in the 20th minute. They continued with a solid performance, which prevented Honka from producing any real attempts on the goal. That lasted up until SJK players got tired, which opened a lot of space for Honka to score, which they did. Honka equalized the match in the 60th minute, to which they added the game-winning goal in 87th. Overall, the match was a good effort from SJK turned into a disappointing result.\n\nSJK failed to win once again against Honka due to subpar performance in the 2nd half. They sit at 12th place with a 0-2-5 record, which makes them one of 2 teams that have not yet tasted a victory. Looking back at their performances, KPV lost 3 and drew 2 games. They lost to Mariehamn (0:4), SJK (1:0) and KuPS (3:1), but managed to grab a point from VPS (2:2) and most recently Lahti (0:0). While it may be obvious where the problem in KPV lies, we will point it out. It's their defence. I still can't wrap my head around it where exactly the problem is. Is it the questionable formation, terrible coaching or are the players simply terrible at defending. Either way, the result is the same, there is chaos in KPV defence, which is especially noticeable on their wings.\n\nHIFK on the other side enter the remainder of the season with a new owner, a Chinese businessman, who is expected to bring more capital into the team, which should result in new players in the future. This should spell out a promising future for HIFK, however, the future is not here as of now.\n\nLooking back at HIFK results, they were not too terrible. holding a 1-2-1 record in the last 4, HIFK only lost to Rovaniemi (1:0), but managed to walk away with points on 3 occasions. They defeated Honka (2:0) and drew the last 2 matches against Mariehamn (1:1) and most recently KuPS (1:1).\n\nThis will be the first h2h match between the two sides this season, which promises to be an exciting one. Looking at how the two sides performed in their last five h2h fixtures, we saw HIFK winning 3 times, with the remaining two matches eneding in a draw. This time out, I expect the same result. KPV have not convinced me with their poor defence, which leaves me wondering how are they planning to fix it. While it will be a home match for KPV, they were not too convincing at their own stadium either. HIFK on the other side have some potential and while their away record is not too promising, HIFK did have a few more days to rest, which should be enough for them to play at the highest level they are capable of. This came after several somewhat disappointing results, which put a huge question mark above Chicago Fire and their future in the MLS. Nonetheless, they proved their worth with 5 goals. While they are by no means a top contender, Chicago Fire are extremely deadly when facing against mediocre teams. This is one of the reasons they are considered favorites to win the upcoming match against Minnesota United, who will travel to Chicago in hopes to repeat their historic trend of defeating Chicago Fire.\n\nMinnesota United travel to Chicago as underdogs, which is a questionable assessment. While they are by no means a top tier team, Minnesota managed to perform better than expected in several matches this season. Bear in mind, Minnesota managed to win 3 away games out of 6, which puts them at the spot of 2nd best MLS travelers. Not only are they potent in away games, but Minnesota will also come into the upcoming match well rested, which is yet another advantage for the Loons.\n\nThe teams will arrive in the upcoming fixture relatively healthy. Chicago listed CJ Sapong as questionable, but we don't expect to see him. Minnesota on the other side look to be at full strength.\n\nWe have mentioned Minnesota performances in away games, and while we only talked about the number of victories, we must also mention their goalscoring or better yet, the number of goals we saw in their away games. Each of the last 6 away matches saw at least 3 goals being scored. Furthermore, Minnesota scored 14 goals and conceded 12 in all of their away games combined. Chicago Fire on the other side managed to score 14 goals and conceded 7 in their 6 home games. If this alone tells us anything, we should be in for a high scoring match.\n\nRegarding the winner here, this one seems to be too close to call. While I understand why Fire are favorites to win here, Minnesota should not be underestimated. The visiting side is known for their pacy style of play which could surprise Chicago, which is why we will steer clear of betting on a winner here. With a win against VPS, Inter managed to fix the impression they left in the first match of the season when they lost to HJK (2:1), which to be fair was not a bad result, but it still meant Inter started off the season with a loss.\n\nAs it stands now, inter Turku are 5th in the Veikkausliga with a 1-0-1 record and 3 points. Looking back at Inter Turku matches, they started off this season with two cup matches. They managed to win the 1/8 finals match against Hercules (0:2), however, failed to do the same against VPS in the quarterfinals (1:2). On the bright side, Inter Turku had their revenge on Monday, when they defeated VPS in the league match.\n\nThe visiting side, SJK are coming into this match as a 4th team in the league, with only 1 match behind them. In their first and only league match up to date, SJK won against HIFK at OmaSp Stadion, where they were the dominant side. SJK held the ball for 62% of the time, created 8 goal attempts and produced 5 shots on goal. On the other side, HIFK struggled to stay competitive, with only 38% ball possession, 2 goal attempts and 2 shots on goal. To be fair the only thing that worked for them was the 100% conversion rate of goal attempts to shots on goal. There is also some credit to give to the newcomers HIFK, as they did perform fairly well in the first half, but it all turned around midway through the 2nd half, when SJK started dominating. On one side, we have Liverpool, who are chasing the first title in 29 years, and on the other side, Southampton, who are just barely above the relegation zone. The match will take place at St. Mary's Stadium in Southampton and it will mark the 2nd H2H match between the two teams.\n\nSouthampton are currently sitting at the 16th place in the Premier League with an 8-9-14 record and 33 points. With that, they are 5 points above the relegation zone, which puts them in an unenviable position, which could easily result in them slipping and falling into the bottom three. Nonetheless, Southampton put up good results in the recent matches, which is a promising sign heading into the remaining rounds of EPL. Looking back at their last 5 fixtures, Southampton lost to Arsenal (2:0) and Manchester United (3:2) and won against Fulham (2:0), Tottenham (2:1) and most recently Brighton (0:1). As it stands now, Southampton are on 2 games winning streak after beating Tottenham and Brighton, but to win against Liverpool and make it 3 in a row, they will have to show one of the best performances of the season.\n\nThe visiting side, Liverpool are still in a tight title race with Manchester City, who are as of now only 1 point above the Reds. With the same number of games played as Manchester City, Liverpool would reclaim the 1st spot in the league with a win tonight, which would last until April 14th, when City is to face off against Crystal Palace in an away match. As of now, Liverpool are 2nd in the league with a 24-7-1 record and a 4-1-0 in the last 5. While they managed to defeat Watford (5:0), Burnley (4:2), Fulham (1:2) and most recently Tottenham (2:1), Liverpool only managed to grab a point from Everton (0:0). When we talk about the title race, Liverpool looks to be in a much better position compared to Manchester City, who not only have the Champions League matches to attend and duties in the FA Cup, City also has a tougher schedule in the EPL in the remaining rounds. In the end, the title winner will be the one who won't slip and lose or even draw in the remaining 6 rounds. \n\nSouthampton had a tough schedule behind them as they had to face off against Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham all in the span of the last 2 weeks, but they are still looking strong. What is even more impressive is the win against Tottenham, which arguably saved them from relegation for now. Their coach, Ralph Hasenhuttl is well aware the team is 5 points clear of relegation, however, he stated he will be satisfied only when Southampton reaches 40 points. With that, I do not expect Southampton to put their foot off the gas until they meet their goal.\n\nWhile it may seem like Liverpool are heavy favourites to win tonight, I have my doubts about how easy this match will be for them. Looking back at the match against Fulham, Liverpool barely won, with a late 81st-minute goal. In the next match against Tottenham, we saw something similar, with a 90th-minute own goal, which gifted Liverpool a win. All in all, Liverpool were far from impressive and arguably had some luck on their side to enter this match with 3 wins in a row. Since Southampton appointed a new manager, they played extremely well, even against top 6 teams. Historically, Southampton wins 50% of the home matches against Liverpool which tells its own story.  Taking all into consideration, I don't see a dominant performance from Liverpool who put up mediocre performances in the recent matches. While they have better quality in the team and more depth, anything more than a 1 goal win is unlikely to happen. In fact, I would not be surprised with a draw either. With that in mind, we will bet on Southampton +1.5.\n\n\nPrediction: Southampton +1.50 Asian Handicap",

Taking a closer look at the mentioned match, statistics point towards a close match, which might sound like Jeonbuk played well, however, the truth is far from it. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors were considered a heavy favourite against Gangwon, who bear in mind haven't scored a single goal up until the fixture against Jeonbuk. The fact that Jeonbuk failed to put up better numbers is disappointing enough, however, them losing the match makes their performance that much worse. Only 4 days prior to the clash against Gangwon, Jeonbuk also lost to Buriram in AFC, who were as well considered a huge underdog, but performed admirably well. Despite having only 37% ball possession, Buriram managed to produce 12 goal attempts and 7 shots on goal. Jeonbuk on the other side had 63% ball possession, 13 goal attempts and only 1 shot on goal. With those numbers, it should not come off as a surprise that the home side won (1:0).\n\nOn the other side, we have got Pohang Steelers, who did not start the season well. After two rounds of K1 league, Pohang were 0-0-2 and with a -3 goal difference. But they finally found their rhythm in the most recent match and won against 2018 runners-up Gyeongnam with an impressive result of 4:1. Looking at how the match was played, Pohang scored an early goal in the 9th minute due to a terrible mistake from Gyeongnam goalkeeper. After that we saw Gyeongnam trying to catch up to the home side, however, they failed to produce a single shot on goal in the first half. The second half was by far more entertaining to watch. At least for the home side, who found their way to the net 3 more times, while the away side failed to produce anything threatening, except the goal in 84th minute, which did not change the course of the game. All in all, it was a great show from Pohang who deservingly won against last season's runners up. While it would be hard to deny the early mistake from Gyeongnam goalkeeper contributed to the win, Pohang were the better side throughout the whole match.\n\nJeonbuk Hyundai will be without Kim Jin-su who received two yellow cards as well as Ibini, Adriano and Lee Yong who are still recovering from an injury. Pohang Steelers have no injuries or new suspensions so we can expect a similar team that the one we saw against Gyeongnam.\n\nJeonbuk Hyundai have one of the best teams in the league on the paper, however, their recent performances might not reflect that. We must keep in mind, they have recently changed the coach, which in most cases means there is a transition period the team needs to go through before they start playing up to par. This just might be the case with Jeonbuk who were just terrible in their last 2 fixtures. Tonight they will get to face Pohang Steelers who were impressive in their last fixture when they trashed Gyeongnam (4:1). If Pohang can show anything similar as they did against Gyeongnam tonight, they have an exceptional chance to win this one as well. All in all the recent form of the teams suggests Pohang have a good chance to win this one, which is why we will back them up to upset Jeonbuk who are still trying to find their rhythm.\n\nPrediction: Pohang to win (1x2 Market)\nOdds: 6.45\nStake: 1/10\nBookmaker: Pinnacle (no bet under 5.50)",
