Se cree que esta domesticación se produjo en Europa hace entre 20.000 y 40.000 años, a finales del Neolítico, dando lugar a la especie que hoy conocemos como Canis Lupus familiaris. \n\nPese a que todos los perros actuales tienen un antepasado común, hoy en día se conocen alrededor de 800 razas distintas con tamaños y fisonomías muy diferentes y originadas a partir de la selección artificial por parte de los seres humanos. A pesar de que no cuentan con un gran sentido de la vista, tienen muy buen oído y el sentido del olfato muy desarrollado, siendo esta la herramienta que define sus mejores cualidades como cazador o rastreador, pero también su capacidad de socialización reconociendo olores familiares.   \n\nLas hembras pasan el celo dos veces al año, su periodo de gestación dura un poco más de dos meses y suelen tener camadas de entre 8 y 12 crías.       "body": "El pinscher miniatura es una raza de perro perteneciente a la familia de los Pinschers originaria de Alemania, donde son llamados zwergpinscher. Se trata de una miniaturización del Pinscher Alemán que se usaba originalmente para la caza de roedores, especialmente de ratas.\n\nA principios del siglo XX el pinscher miniatura era bastante común en su país de origen, exportándose por primera vez a los Estados Unidos en 1919, donde fue la primera raza registrada por el American Kennel Club en 1925.\n\nSus proporciones son cuadradas pues tiene la misma longitud que altura a la cruz, entre los 25 y los 30 cm. Su peso oscila entre los 4 y 6 kg. El pelo es corto y liso, admitiéndose sólo los ejemplares monocolores rojos en sus distintas tonalidades y los ejemplares bicolores negros con marcas fuego. Tradicionalmente, el pinscher miniatura presentaba la cola y las orejas cortadas.\n\nEl pinscher tiene una gran energía y curiosidad natural, además de poseer un instinto de guarda que le hace ser buen guardián a pesar de su pequeño tamaño.\n\nComo tantos otros perros de pequeño tamaño, el pinscher miniatura no duda en plantar cara a perros de grandes dimensiones tales como el Dóberman, haciendo gala de un coraje y energía desproporcionados con su tamaño.
