| body | The problem with anarchy is what happens when someone wants to make slaves of others. It's always going to happen. People can't do both: live their lives and enforce that others don't fuck them up, they have to have someone take care of that last part, like the hotel and his security staff. For obvious reasons, when security is concerned, all hotel guests are subject to what the staff says, they have to obey. Now, If guests want to do more than just visit the city, hotel staff will require more power to protect you. Over time, states just happen naturally, only because free will and liberty means that some people will feel free to harm others. I'm not saying states are a good thing, i'm saying they are things that just happen, like money. They are the way we organize for building peace. I think the question is how can we force states to fulfill the pact that they sign with their citizens. |

| body | Ha pasado literalmente miles de veces durante la historia de la humanidad y sin embargo nos sigue tomando por sorpresa: Los poderosos se vuelven locos y terminan oprimiendo a la gente decente. En el caso de Venezuela, que es el que yo vivo, la opresión llega al grado de matar de hambre, enfermedad o tortura al oponente político. Y a las alturas de caos al que nos ha llevado la Revolución Bolivariana, ese oponente político es ya cualquier persona que desee simplemente vivir de su trabajo. Los humanos no logramos procesar el hecho de que otros deseen tener más de lo que necesitan con tanta ambición que llegan a matar por ello. Es una barrera mental que nos impide ver el desastre antes de que ocurra. Y cuando ocurre nos indignamos tanto, nos parece tan inverosímil, que nos cuesta reaccionar. Pero "quedarme con todo y matar a los demás" es algo natural que no requiere grandes análisis sociológicos. Es la condición ancestral de nuestro cerebro. El humano nos es sólo el resultado de la evolución de los homínidos, es uno de los resultados de la evolución de toda la vida en el planeta Tierra, empezando por las primeras células. Por lo tanto, el 99,99% de nuestra evolución ocurrió en un contexto en el que los recursos siempre son escasos y la competencia por ellos es férrea. Ser un buen eliminador de tus competidores era tan valioso como ser buen administrador de tus recursos, o ser bueno consiguiendo estos recursos. De hecho, acaparar todos los recursos que puedas, sin consideraciones de si es suficiente o excesivo, cumple ambas funciones: Obtener recursos, excluir al competidor. En un contexto de permanente escasez de recursos, que es de donde venimos, era imposible tener de más. Un individuo podía hacer todo lo necesario para quedarse con todo, y probablemente solo llegaba a mantenerse a sí mismo y a su familia, porque la competencia era demasiada. Entonces, acaparar recursos y excluir a competidores es una actitud muy fuertemente impresa en nuestro cerebro más primigenio porque era la manera de llegar a tener suficiente. Lo que nos pasa a los humanos, es que tenemos ese programa guardado en los archivos, porque funcionamos con uno alternativo, más reciente y más potente. El cerebro humano, el que sustituye en sus funciones al cerebro de primate-reptil, el que se basa en evidencias y es capaz de ver más allá de lo que se aprecia directamente con los sentidos, ha creado una sociedad en donde los recursos no solo no son escasos, sino que pueden llegar a abundar. Este es un cambio de condiciones enorme que sin duda moldeará la evolución del cerebro humano hacia el futuro. Pero no hemos pasado suficiente tiempo en estas nuevas condiciones (aun potenciales) como para que el hábito animal de acaparar y excluir deje de funcionar en una enorme parte de la población. El ansia de poder no es más que esto, es la lógica de la selva en un contexto de abundancia. El poder te permite acaparar y excluir, manteniendo tranquilo al agresivo primate que literalmente tenemos adentro. Dentro de las partes más antiguas de nuestro cerebro. ¿Por qué la evolución no desecha esas partes del cerebro? Porque el conocimiento que guardan puede ser necesario si las condiciones se asemejan a las que lo originaron: Un caos ordenado por la competencia entre individuos por los recursos escasos. Irónicamente, estas condiciones son creadas por el ejercicio desmedido del poder (acaparadores y exclusores eficientes) en contra del impulso del cerebro "nuevo" por ordenar la sociedad para evitar la escasez de recursos. Por eso las sociedades en donde el poder lo obtienen los cerebros "primatoreptiles", desciende rápidamente al caos, porque la respuesta refleja de sus ciudadanos es la activación de su porpio cerebro "primatoreptil". Así se inicia un espiral en el que los humanitos convertidos en primates primigenios, con muy poca práctica en las lides de acaparar y excluir necesarias para la vida en el caos de la jungla, buscan darle más poder al que parece saber hacerlo, esperando entrar en su círculo de protección. Pero lógicamente, esto solo termina en mayor exclusión y acaparamiento por parte de los poderosos. Eventualmente todo colapsa. La población se reduce por hambre y guerra, los recursos empiezan a alcanzar de nuevo y la parte más humana del cerebro, la que piensa y analiza y busca la estabilidad a través de tomar las decisiones adecuadas, empieza a tener cabida de nuevo. Comienza la reconstrucción. La única manera de evitar estos ciclos es mantener muy fuerte a nuestro cerebro humano. Por eso los poderosos, cuando son excluyentes y acaparadores, atacan cosas como la ciencia, el arte y la felicidad de las personas. Todo lo que nos haga humanos es su enemigo. Y por eso la frase "no podemos convertirnos en eso" no es vacía. "body": "Ha pasado literalmente miles de veces durante la historia de la humanidad y sin embargo nos sigue tomando por sorpresa: Los poderosos se vuelven locos y terminan oprimiendo a la gente decente. En el caso de Venezuela, que es el que yo vivo, la opresión llega al grado de matar de hambre, enfermedad o tortura al oponente político. Y a las alturas de caos al que nos ha llevado la Revolución Bolivariana, ese oponente político es ya cualquier persona que desee simplemente vivir de su trabajo. \n\nLos humanos no logramos procesar el hecho de que otros deseen tener más de lo que necesitan con tanta ambición que llegan a matar por ello. Es una barrera mental que nos impide ver el desastre antes de que ocurra. Y cuando ocurre nos indignamos tanto, nos parece tan inverosímil, que nos cuesta reaccionar. Pero \"quedarme con todo y matar a los demás\" es algo natural que no requiere grandes análisis sociológicos. Es la condición ancestral de nuestro cerebro.\n\nEl humano nos es sólo el resultado de la evolución de los homínidos, es uno de los resultados de la evolución de toda la vida en el planeta Tierra, empezando por las primeras células. Por lo tanto, el 99,99% de nuestra evolución ocurrió en un contexto en el que los recursos siempre son escasos y la competencia por ellos es férrea. Ser un buen eliminador de tus competidores era tan valioso como ser buen administrador de tus recursos, o ser bueno consiguiendo estos recursos. De hecho, acaparar todos los recursos que puedas, sin consideraciones de si es suficiente o excesivo, cumple ambas funciones: Obtener recursos, excluir al competidor. \n\nEn un contexto de permanente escasez de recursos, que es de donde venimos, era imposible tener de más. Un individuo podía hacer todo lo necesario para quedarse con todo, y probablemente solo llegaba a mantenerse a sí mismo y a su familia, porque la competencia era demasiada.
