Well, the way you work with them isn't the way you're thinking. Hi, everyone. I'm Neil Patel and today, I wanna share with you how to work with a multi-million dollar company. Now, the first question I have for you guys is have you ever worked with a multi-million dollar company? If you have, leave a comment with yes. If you haven't, leave a comment with no. The reason I'm asking this is the way I'm gonna teach you on how to work with a multi-million dollar company is probably drastically different than what anyone else has ever told you or you're ever gonna experience. But before we get started, what I wanna do is share how I first closed my first multi-million dollar contract. The company I worked with, they eventually ended up getting acquired, was called Elpac Electronics. They were a power supply manufacturer.\r\n\r\nThe way I landed that deal was I spoke at a college class. The first college class I took, and this was at community college, this was while I was in high school was Speech 101. I gave a speech on how Google works. Probably a bit nerdy, still probably, yeah. And when I broke that down, someone in that class worked at that company called Elpac and they're like, I'm in sales, I'm at this speech class just to brush up on my sales skills. I know the company I'm working for is looking for someone like you, are you interested in a contract gig? That first deal there was generating me over $5,000 a month in revenue. I, on the other hand, was making that company well over $20 million just from the leads I was producing. Now, that all wasn't for me. I was only driving the leads. The sales team had to go in and then close those leads, but that's the power of marketing and again, how'd I get that contract? It was simple, I just spoke about marketing, spoke about what I knew about and someone just ended up hiring me.\r\n\r\nNow, in addition to this, I wanna break down how I got my first multi-million dollar contract. I was at a conference in London. It was a gambling conference. I was speaking on how to market your gambling business. One of the companies in there wanted help and they didn't hire me because they're like, oh, your rates are too expensive. There was quite a few other people after my talk that came up to me and asked me questions. And you know what? They weren't multi-million dollar companies, they were just people starting off.\r\n\r\nI helped each and every single one of them for free. One of the guys in there kept going around to everyone in the conference and he just told people how I was awesome. No other speakers was willing to help him out. He didn't speak great English and some people would even come up to me and be like this guy has body odor and I'm like, who cares? The guy's here to learn. He paid for a ticket, people should help him out. People shouldn't be judging him. So, I helped him out, I didn't ask for anything and during the whole event, he was telling all these companies how it was amazing and I didn't try to do this, I was just helping him out naturally because I wanted to and one of the companies who he said this Neil guy is amazing and awesome, they ended up hiring me for $100,000 a month on a yearly contract.\r\n\r\nIt's called poker strategy. That was my first multi-million dollar contract. Technically, million dollar contract. The lesson of the day for you guys if you wanna generate these big contracts, work with these big companies, it's not gonna happen the way you're thinking. Most people think that it's from connections or it's from college. If you go to Harvard, you're gonna get these contracts. It's not really the way.\r\n\r\nIt's simple. It'll take time, but follow this strategy and you'll be able to work with multi-million dollar companies. One, help people out. Whether it's on Twitter or Facebook or a social web or if you wanna blog or create videos, just help people out. Helping people out goes a long way. I have this concept called little is the new big, which if you help out the little people, the people who aren't well known, there's so many of them, that eventually, the people who are decision makers will hear about you because you're helping out all these other people who aren't as well known. The second strategy I have for you is to speak at conferences, you need to speak at least four a year, so one a quarter. The way you do this is you take all the conferences in your space and you just apply to speak at them. Most of the people are gonna ignore you and say, no, we don't want you to speak. But some of them will say yes. It really is a number's game. The next thing I want you to do is I want you to go and just help people locally within your community.\r\n\r\nWhatever city you live in, there are multi-million dollar businesses. Chamber of Commerce, there's probably other organizations within your city. What you'll find is people are more likely to hire local companies than they are to hire companies that are across the world or in a different state or a different country. So, really go and help out the people that are local to you. The fourth tip I have for you is to be an expert. When you're seen as an expert, more people are gonna wanna work with you. And I know this is tricky because you're like, wait, ow do I be seen as an expert when I'm starting off. Well, I want you to hit up other successful entrepreneurs or other successful people within your space and interview them. When you interview them on your site, it could be video, you can do it over Skype, it could be podcasts like audio, could just be a text based interview like a blog post. When you publish on your website or on YouTube or Facebook or LinkedIn, have that person share an email and be like, hey, Neil, the interview I did with you just came out.\r\n\r\nDo you mind sharing it and tweeting it out? If you're seen interview other experts, you're seen being along the side of them, that's why video is more powerful when you do this. People will also start seeing you as an expert and you'll notice that you'll get more business as well, especially as these experts start promoting your own content because you interviewed them. So, that's it, follow those tips and you, yourself can get a multi-million dollar contract. Over time, that parts, not easy, but at the beginning you can work with a multi-million dollar company and eventually, you can work your way up to working with billion dollar companies. I wanted to make a video for you today about local SEO so if you know what local SEO is That's cool. I'm gonna go over it a little bit Just to fill in anyone who doesn't know what local SEO is so local SEO stands for local search engine optimization So with this technique you can get more traffic to your website for a local customers searching geographically in your area, so let's say that you are a hairstylist in Tampa, Florida So if you do these things that I'm going to teach you in this video you can rank higher for when people search for Tampa, Florida hairstylist or Tampa, Florida haircut you know company or whatever it is with these techniques you can implement them and you can see an increase in your Local markets of traffic so if you're looking to grow your local business These are some great techniques that you can do to your website, and you know a few hours to see some big results from From people searching in your geographical area so the first thing that you want to do is create a Google My business account So it's super easy to find you can just google it Just Google Google my business, and it should be the first one that pops up so what this is is It's pretty much You are registering your business with Google itself, so I would say that this is the most important thing that you would want to do first this will allow you to be shown in Google Maps and Google Places and You know when someone searches for your company you see that little snippet of the company with all the reviews If you add your company to Google Bondage Google my business You will be featured when someone searches for your company So this will also allow people to review your company, which I'll be going on going about talking about later in this video It's also a very important thing But in order to even get any of those you need Google my business, so just sign up make sure that you put in your exact address it's good to have a Business address you don't have to but you're going to be getting a letter from Google with a secret code on it that you can enter in which proves to them that your company is running at that address So make sure that it's not you know some fake address and Make sure that you can get mail at at the address that you will be adding So you sign up and Google will send you a little postcard in about two or three weeks? And it'll have you know a four or five digit code on it And you just go back online to your account and you enter in that code And you will then be a verified address in Google my business, and now you can really start Doing some other things To rank your company better, but this one is really good, and if you haven't done that for your business it's definitely a big thing to do so one thing to remember when you're doing local SEO is making sure that your Company name address phone number and website are all exactly the same throughout the entire internet So if you ever add your company, or business address anywhere make sure that it's exactly the same You know if you say if you spill out Street make sure you spell out Street If you you know just do a st instead of street make sure you're just keeping it the same on everywhere So Google doesn't get confused on which business goes to which website etc So once you have Google my business set up you can start doing a little more off page SEO, and you can start adding in APW citations so n AP or n AP W citations stands for name address phone number website So there's ton of they call them.\r\n\r\nIyp sites So these are internet yellow page sites, so there's yellowpages.com There's brown book. There's literally thousands of Internet Yellow Pages sites that just list businesses in a directory kind of format So they're some of them cost money But a lot of them are free so you can find plenty of blog posts that list you know free Free you know in APD citation Directories where you can just add your business for free so make sure that you You know are being consistent when you're adding your name address phone number To all these directories to make sure it's exactly the same across all of the sites so what I like to do is Since we I have multiple businesses multiple locations So I will cop I will paste all of those businesses and their address phone number website Etc and the excel file, and then I will just keep that open in one screen and went out adding citations I'll just copy and paste the businesses that I'm using so I make sure that everything is exactly the same And it's just copy and pasted from My Documents, so there's no chances for errors You know typing it in or anything like that so you know that's a really good tip when you're adding these Just copy and paste and make sure everything is the same so another tip that I'm gonna give you with this are submitting to the four main aggregators So there's four aggregators out there, and what these are are you know they're pretty much like the biggest Places to add your business so if you add your business to these four aggregators You can you know exponentially grow your n AP citations because most sites like most AIP sites Use these forming aggregators to pull business information from so if you can get your site Or your company listed in one or all of these four aggregators You'll see a large increase in local SEO traffic because a lot of these n APW citation sites on our Pease pull that information from these these aggregators and It's a super easy way to get a lot of Na PW backlinks without having to actually go through and add it you know to a million different sites So there's AXA calm there's info group factual And there's NuStar local ease so you can find them online easily by googling them.\r\n\r\nIt's as simple Adding your your name address phone number. I think a few of them might cost you know fifteen or twenty dollars to submit But it's definitely worth it because you know you to get a ton of citations out of that just just adding it to those main aggregators So we're going to go back to some on-page SEO So the next thing you want to do on your website is make sure that your city and state is You know put on your website, so you know, they're how Google finds If you're your company is from a certain city state is by actually crawling your website For one and also looking at the Google my business, and it'll match those up, so Having your city And your state and some of your your made of tags and stuff like that will help Google figure out that your business you know it belongs in this city and state and And that's where you want a lot of your customers or customers to be coming from so There's a few places you want to add this So the made of title So this is kind of like what you see when you would search in Google Become the main link text for a website that you would see in Google so if someone were to search for Tampa Bay Hairstylist and you have Tampa Bay hairstylist in your made a title that word they did the city and the state and the Business service will be bolded in Google which will strongly Increase your CTR to your site and by making you know your listing stand out more is that? City and state services bolded so if someone searched for Tampa Bay hairstylist They would see your site with the made a title Tampa Bay hairstylist, and whatever else you have in there so that one's really important Because that's kind of how people you know see it in Google the other one is the main a description So this is like the description text under the Link title the meta title so having it in here is also important It's another way for the text to be bolded and a standout.\r\n\r\nYou know even more when someone is searching for you Now another one that they might at night Google, but it's important to have for the Google crawling is your heading tags so if you've watched any of my videos Before we talk a lot about heading tags are super important when it comes to on-page SEO So having your city and state in your heading tags Can increase your your local SEO as well? So you don't want to get too crazy with it having your city and state you know everywhere But you know maybe like your h1 and Maybe one or two h2 is you can have your city and state and maybe even the service in there ie Tampa Bay, Florida hairstylist so the heading kind of describes each page and What the page is about so having having your certain city and state in that heading can can really increase the chances of you ranking locally So another thing that you can do that is pretty simple is add local business schemas so the heavy things now called schemas that kind of Give online platforms more information about your site or your page or information on your page, so they have snippets They're called snippets, and they're there for a lot of different things there's product snippets There's reviews all kinds of stuff You'll notice them when you search Google And you know it'll maybe pop up a little a little snippet at the top that you can see and it kind of gives you the quick info so you do have to click the cite They have that for local business, and if you search for a local business And you see that big snippet on the side that kind of says their Name phone number when they're open all the kind of stuff That's because they have a local business schema on their site so to add this it's super simple You can just google a local business schema and You'll get a ton of websites where you can enter in you know your data to your website or to your your business you know The the name address phone number website and click.\r\n\r\nYou know generate, and it will generate this code That's a schema that you can put on your site And that will tell you know con matchup Google business with the schema, and it'll know like this website goes to this business Etc So I'm going to make sure that you have your address on every single page of your website in the footer This will make sure that Google does not get confused with what business and what address should be matched up so add that local business schema to the footer of your website on every single page and that is another thing you can do to increase the local SEO on your site, so The next thing that you can do That's a little harder And require a little bit more work Is getting reviews so reviews are a huge part of Google's local SEO algorithm? So it's pretty obvious.\r\n\r\nThey're gonna show the best reviewed businesses first You know when you're searching for local businesses, so if you were to search for Tampa Bay Hair Stylist It's likely will show the highest-rated one first because they know this is the best business so obviously they're gonna show it first So getting more good reviews for your business in Google Can really increase the rankings of your website in Google? Because it you know builds trust in both the user and in Google and they know that that website Or that business is good because it's getting you know a lot of good reviews So you know getting reviews a few tips on that You can reach out to customers so we try to reach out to every single customer that we work with you know a few weeks after the project's finished and We will send them to a page that we've created on our site that has you know all the places they can Review it so we have Google Yelp.\r\n\r\nYou know anywhere where you can reboot online. We have a page Specifically for that where we send our clients and customers so that they can give us a review on whatever platform They prefer And that's a good way to get a lot of a lot of reviews You can also Do a couple other things to to give good reviews You can ask your friends to do it if you want to start out If you don't have any to start and you want to kind of get it going It's okay to you know ask a friend for a review. Just to get kind of things moving You don't want to have a bunch of fake reviews But you know just get a few just to get ball up the ball rolling because it's a lot more likely that someone's gonna review you if you have you know one or two reviews than if you have zero because no one wants to be the first person to dismiss with a review So the last thing that I have to put on here cuz this is the most important in my opinion is Content so if you have a website, and you're not seeing any traffic at all.\r\n\r\nIt's probably because you don't have any content Creating as much content as possible is the best way to get the most traffic so if you think about it Google is pretty much just an answer machine so when you have a question or you want to figure out information you google it, and so you need to kind of think backwards on this one and Think about what content, are you creating to answer people's questions? And is that answering their question so if you just have a website, and it's a normal business website You don't you know blog? You know post any content Google is not gonna find anything to rank because you're not answering anyone's questions So they're not gonna rank you you know unless maybe it's just for your business name or your exact address or whatever The way that people find websites on Google is by you know good content, so make sure that you're always creating good content I mean it depends on how much you know traffic you want to get and how much time you want to devote to it But it's it's one of the best investments you can do so you know I try to write I mean I write twenty or thirty percent of my every single day is spent writing I try to blog on you know all my business sites at least two or three times per week But I would like to do it a lot more so the more you can blog the better And the better content that you can write the more traffic that you're going to see so There's a few things you can do to to see more local SEO with content, and that's just you know adding your city and state Or maybe even adding content, that's relatable to you know your city like finding the best Hairstylist in Tampa Bay, and then you know listing out some of the best hairstylist and reviewing them you know stuff like that Or people are gonna be searching for you know.\r\n\r\nWhat's the best? Hairstyle is in Tampa or whatever it may be so you have to have content so that they can find you that way So this is six ways Six things that you can do Pretty simple things really probably take you you know a day for for a slower person Or you know an hour for someone who's super fast but if you do these six things you will see a big increase in your Traffic and customers and leads coming in to your website for people that are searching for you know your local geographic service So I hope you like this video. It has all sorts of social and historical connotations that basically revolve around getting high. But marijuana doesn’t have to get you high. There is a compound in weed that has documented benefits for medical patients, without the stoned feeling -- CBD. While THC is the popular compound in the marijuana plant, cannabidiol or CBD is THC’s non-hallucinogenic buddy. The yin and the yang. The high people get from weed is caused by a specific and well-known compound in the plant called Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC. It’s brother CBD doesn’t possess any of the mind-altering, mood-changing properties that THC does, and thus get’s a lot less attention. Many recreational users want the high, but people who have cancer don’t. Many people want to get the benefits of of medical marijuana, but also want to be able to go about their day and not be locked on the couch. To understand these <a href=\"https://myctfo.me/cyrulux/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBD-specific benefits</a>, we have to understand how cannabis (in general) works in the brain. A marijuana plant contains over 60 different chemical compounds called cannabinoids that act on the body’s endocannabinoid system.\r\n\r\nThis system modulates all sorts of mind-body functions. For example, if you’re in pain it keeps your body from going haywire -- this is called down regulation. It down regulates stress-related signals that lead to inflammation and pain. It also works in your immune system and elsewhere in the body. There are two main receptors that these cannabinoids bind to, conveniently named CB1 and CB2. When a cannabinoid like THC hits the body, it acts on the CB 1 receptor, and affects memory, concentration and coordination. It gets you high. When a cannabinoid like CBD hits the body, it doesn’t act on CB-receptors, but hits other, pain receptors that affect pain perception, anxiety, inflammation and so on... thus, it doesn’t get you high. THC and CBD both have similar chemical makeups but different structures, which is why scientists suspect they act differently in the brain. So, of all these promising applications, CBD is most famous for its potential to treat pediatric epilepsy -- or more importantly the seizures that are inherent to children with epilepsy. To put it simply, a seizure happens when the brain’s electricity spikes and the brain's circuitry freezes.\r\n\r\nOne parent described their son's seizures like \"an overtaxed electrical grid.” Researchers haven't fully identified the mechanisms underlying CBD's capabilities to reduce these seizures, but scientists think CBD may improve the function of the endocannabinoid system, somehow. Then it can regulate the central nervous system and protect against convulsive activity. Evidence of CBD’s benefits for pediatric epilepsy have been largely anecdotal, until now. A recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that children with a complex form of epilepsy who took CBD saw a 23 percent greater reduction in convulsive seizures than those taking a placebo.Researchers used a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial; the gold-standard for trials. It’s a big deal for the future of CBD-as-medicine. There’s a lot we still need to figure out about CBD, but more research is hard to do. At the end of 2016, CBD was declared a Schedule I drug, in part, because THC and CBD are both in the same plant.\r\n\r\nThe DEA says it’s easier to keep track of CBD if it’s regulated in this way, but after recent studies we’re starting to see medicinal benefits of CBD. And Schedule I-ing a drug stymies research because scientists have to go through an incredible amount of bureaucratic hoop jumping to get access to it. At this point, scientists still have to prove that it’s safe and well tolerated, with a set dosage and a known list of side effects.\r\n\r\nHopefully, the scientific process will continue to run its course, even within the limitations.
