If you're an athlete, it usually goes up to 100 grams. When you decide to follow a ketogenic diet, you need dramatically reduce your carb intake. When people begin a ketogenic diet, they are only concerned with body fat and how quickly they will lose weight. With the ketogenic diet, you will track your carbs to get your body into a ketosis condition as quickly as possible.\n\nIncrease Fats:\nWhen you're first starting out on the ketogenic diet, the most important part of your diet is to eat good fats. This, of course, takes time. It is a proven fact that you should consume 70-80 percent of your total calories as fat.
