titleDemocracy is a failure
bodyEver since I left the political scene in 2018, I began to realize something: votes mean nothing. They carry no power. They lost their power when the population grew beyond 1% of what it is. Why? A world of overabundance is unsustainable, especially when the currencies are controlled by a select few(looking at you, federal reserve). What does this have to do with the power of the vote? As the amount of currency in circulation grows, families grow, decreasing the value of the currency, and then the cycle repeats. What finally placed the ticking time bomb is the advent of the information age. With easy access to information, anyone can learn anything, even false information. People will pick up anything that fits their beliefs, then turn their circle into an echo chamber. It's quite sad. It becomes worse when you realize that platforms adapt to keep their users coming back for more; people look at something once, then the platform selects similar stuff to keep them on the platform. Confirmation bias, the ultimate weakness of the mind Other times, platforms try to force their morals on people through moderation. You don't support LGBTQIASEGTYSDGZSDFG? Banned. You support Trump? Banned. Communism? Banned. Those are just a few examples, though there may be countless others. Around the time of writing this, Youtube and Twitter are forcing news of the president being ill to the front page, even if that person doesn't care or wants to opt out. This feeds the "I don't want to hear this, but no other platform is as active or has what I want" cycle.

titleRegarding Pokemon Sword and Shield
bodyHearing the announcement of the generation 8 Pokemon games was big news to me. However, the recent Nintendo Treehouse announcement ruined my hype for these games. These games apparently started development as far back as X and Y, so the games were originally designed to release on the 3DS. This explains the subpar graphics that we saw in the trailers and gameplay footage. Shit like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDsBp_41NPw Or this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYLuom3ColQ really grinds my gears. Even though Gamefreak said that the games were going to take full advantage of the Switch's technical capabilities, the graphics, animations, and lack of pokemon say otherwise. Gamefreak is going to be leaving out a number of pokemon in these games and even implied that they might do it again. ( https://www.pokemon.com/us/a-message-for-pokemon-video-game-fans/ ) Over 5 years in development and we get this low quality trash? Gamefreak, I expect better of you. Genius Sonority did their job better than them with Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness on the Gamecube, and their team was/is significantly smaller. I am deeply disappointed by their lack of effort, despite being given over 5 years to develop them. Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee had significantly superior modeling, animation, and overall graphics than Sword and Shield. Let's not get started on the missing Z-moves, mega evolution, primal reversion, and ultra burst mechanics. You had over 5 years 5 fucking years Gamefreak, fix your shit

titleHappy Cirno Day!
bodyEvery year, 9/9 is observed by the Touhou fandom as International Cirno Day! Why? Because Cirno was listed as the #9 in the Phantasmagoria of Flower View manual, and today marks the 9/9 9 years after 9/9/09, the OG Cirno Day! Happy Cirno Day!

titleHow to NOT be a Normie
bodyEvery time I visit Youtube's, Twitter's, any of 4chan's boards, Reddit's all page, Facebook's, or hell, even Steemit's trending/new/hot pages, I see posts upon posts from normies. I see very few informational or thought-provoking posts on these various pages. It saddens me to see that the populace carries a strong desire for immediate pleasures of the next meme, the newest k-pop star, the newest fetish, the newest harem anime or hentai manga. These immediate pleasures are incredibly fleeting and die within around a week of their conception; nobody cares or remembers them after the fact. Then you get the deep-fried versions of these. Parodies, new captions, "new spins" on everything that even partially resembles the OC. It eventually comes full circle and people write new "Know Your Meme" pages on this now-old stuff Now you may be asking, what are the characteristics of a normie? If you managed to read through all of that, congratulations. You probably aren't a normie. But if you just skipped to this section to see if you were a normie... You're probably a normie. Let's see what constitutes a normie... 1. You have an attention span of less than a minute - If you're scrolling through memes and/or articles and merely absorbing them and not really trying to understand them, merely to get a laugh out of the surface or a simple thought about it, you probably need to work on that. 2. You think that communism, nazism, and/or social justice are divine truths - To not pick apart an ideology and pick what works and what doesn't is a blatant sign of a normie. They take opinions and shove them 12 inches deep into their asshole and leave it there to rot into 4th wave nazism or feminism. That's how you get the modern KKK, Antifa, alt-right movement, and/or any other group of people. They don't think any deeper than what is told to them by leaders that take advantage of these poor people. They also group together and defend their leader's ideologies with a rusty iron fist. 3. Immediate pleasures - As I had mentioned in the first paragraph, normies want entertainment *now*. Why do you think curation is such a large business? They don't want to find or make anything themselves, which is why you see reposts upon reposts upon reposts on Reddit, Twitter, and any of the 4chan boards. 4. They are incredibly wasteful - Name one person who saves their money - just one person. Pretty difficult, huh? No normie saves their money. They spend it on the next fashion trend, anime body pillow, dildo, tattoo, cigarette, bong, vape, or anything that tends to #3. They waste their money on things that will almost never provide value in the future(unless, of course, they start a channel about it and feed off of Patreon or Paypal) 5. They never think about the future - Normies typically destroy their bodies and live for the moment, not caring about the next. They took the old saying of "Live every day like it's your last", ground it into their tiny brains, and proceeded to overuse it. Building upon #3 and #4, normies don't care about the future of their countries or hell, even about their own futures. They want the next shot of heroin now, just so they can "feel good". It's good for the drug dealers and businesses that feed off of these kinds of people. 6. They act on their emotions - Most important thing in this article, right here. Normies abide by all of these things and this is the source. They do not use logic nor reason. They appeal to their emotions and their emotions only. They say things like "I don't feel like it" and proceed to give a long, drawn-out non-explanation saying that they simply don't feel like it, but in 500 words. If they do use any amount of logic or reason, then it's almost always in favor of their immediate future. Remember #5? Now that you know what the fuck a normie is, how about we get into talking about how to NOT be a normie? Surely I wouldn't make such a tempting title then not deliver, right? Step 1: Stop spending money on non-necessities - When I say non-necessities, I mean things that are not vital to your survival and don't have long-term value. For example, a Bitcoin carries long-term value, so holding onto one of those would be a good idea, but saaay something like a new shirt or pair of jeans when you already have 20 others would be a bad investment. What's the difference? Surely a new shirt would be more functional *now*, right? Wrong Appealing to #5, a normie does not think about the future and spends their money on more vbucks or something useless like that. Unless you're planning on selling your Fortnite account for more than you invested into it, that's a really bad idea. Spend money on things that will have value in the future or on absolute necessities like food, water, mortgage, utilities. Step 2: Considering that I mentioned mortgage in the previous step, **avoid debt at all costs** - Unless you calculated a full business plan and are going to start a successful business, do **NOT** take a loan. Debt weighs heavily on your income, preventing you from saving. Remember #4? Then you may be asking, how do I get a car or a house without a loan? In the modern day, if you're starting off, your parents will probably let you stay at their house until you have enough money to afford your own house. If not, the best choice would be to pick a low-rent house or apartment. If you want to build credit score, take a loan for as much money as you have and pay it back the next day. Sounds easy, right? Some employers may have employee housing. I don't know if that's much of an American thing, though. Step 3: Your feelings do not matter to the universe - Never use your emotions or feelings to decide anything. They are entirely worthless. Unless you can take advantage of oblivious normies and scam them out of their money, your feelings are your worst enemy. Do **NOT** confuse your feelings with your intuition. It'll fuck you over real hard. Step 4: Train yourself to do something productive once a day - It doesn't matter what: learning a new language, programming language, skill, learn or make a new song(if you play an instrument), *clean your room*(insert varg meme here), clean your house, pretty much anything that is outside of your comfort zone will train and discipline you. Learn proper English, as well. Step 5: Separate your will from your feelings - Your will should be based on logic and reason. Being borne of your prefrontal cortex, your will is quite literally **you**. Think of it as the motherboard of a computer, the rest of your brain are the CPU, RAM, GPU, etc. Your feelings could be equated to the GPU, not necessary, but grants access to some pretty great games. inb4 integrated graphics Nobody uses those anymore I really hope that this is a first step in converting normies out of existence. "title": "How to NOT be a Normie",
"body": "Every time I visit Youtube's, Twitter's, any of 4chan's board, Reddit's all page, Facebook's, or hell, even Steemit's trending/new/hot pages, I see posts upon posts from normies. I see very few informational or thought-invoking posts on these various pages. Parodies, new captions, \"new spins\" on everything that even partially resembles the OC. It eventually comes full circle and people write new \"Know Your Meme\" pages on this now-old stuff\n\nNow you may be asking, what are the characteristics of a normie?\n\nIf you managed to read through all of that, congratulations. You probably aren't a normie. But if you just skipped to this section to see if you were a normie... You're probably a normie. Let's see what constitutes a normie...\n1. You have an attention span of less than a minute - If you're scrolling through memes and/or articles and merely absorbing them and not really trying to understand them, merely to get a laugh out of the surface or a simple thought about it, you probably need to work on that.\n2. They also group together and defend their leader's ideologies with a rusty iron fist.\n3. Immediate pleasures - As I had mentioned in the first paragraph, normies want entertainment *now*. Why do you think curation is such a large business? They don't want to find or make anything themselves, which is why you see reposts upon reposts upon reposts on Reddit, Twitter, and any of the 4chan boards.\n4. They are incredibly wasteful - Name one person who saves their money - just one person. Pretty difficult, huh? No normie saves their money. They spend it on the next fashion trend, anime body pillow, dildo, tattoo, cigarette, bong, vape, or anything that tends to #3. They waste their money on things that will almost never provide value in the future(unless, of course, they start a channel about it and feed off of Patreon or Paypal)\n5. They never think about the future - Normies typically destroy their bodies and live for the moment, not caring about the next. They took the old saying of \"Live every day like it's your last\", ground it into their tiny brains, and proceeded to overuse it. Building upon #3 and #4, normies don't care about the future of their countries or hell, even about their own futures. They want the next shot of heroin now, just so they can \"feel good\". It's good for the drug dealers and businesses that feed off of these kinds of people.\n6. They act on their emotions - Most important thing in this article, right here. Normies abide by all of these things and this is the source. They do not use logic nor reason. They appeal to their emotions and their emotions only. They say things like \"I don't feel like it\" and proceed to give a long, drawn-out non-explanation saying that they simply don't feel like it, but in 500 words. If they do use any amount of logic or reason, then it's almost always in favor of their immediate future. Remember #5?\n\nNow that you know what the fuck a normie is, how about we get into talking about how to NOT be a normie? Surely I wouldn't make such a tempting title then not deliver, right?\n\nStep 1: Stop spending money on non-necessities - When I say non-necessities, I mean things that are not vital to your survival and don't have long-term value. For example, a Bitcoin carries long-term value, so holding onto one of those would be a good idea, but saaay something like a new shirt or pair of jeans when you already have 20 others would be a bad investment. What's the difference? Surely a new shirt would be more functional *now*, right?\n\nWrong\n\nAppealing to #5, a normie does not think about the future and spends their money on more vbucks or something useless like that. Unless you're planning on selling your Fortnite account for more than you invested into it, that's a really bad idea. Spend money on things that will have value in the future or on absolute necessities like food, water, mortgage, utilities.\n\nStep 2: Considering that I mentioned mortgage in the previous step, **avoid debt at all costs** - Unless you calculated a full business plan and are going to start a successful business, do **NOT** take a loan. I don't know if that's much of an American thing, though.\n\nStep 3: Your feelings do not matter to the universe - Never use your emotions or feelings to decide anything. They are entirely worthless. Unless you can take advantage of oblivious normies and scam them out of their money, your feelings are your worst enemy. Do **NOT** confuse your feelings with your intuition. It'll fuck you over real hard. \n\nStep 4: Train yourself to do something productive once a day - It doesn't matter what: learning a new language, programming language, skill, learn or make a new song(if you play an instrument), *clean your room*(insert varg meme here), clean your house, pretty much anything that is outside of your comfort zone will train and discipline you. Learn proper English, as well.\n\nStep 5: Separate your will from your feelings - Your will should be based on logic and reason. Being borne of your prefrontal cortex, your will is quite literally **you**. Think of it as the motherboard of a computer, the rest of your brain are the CPU, RAM, GPU, etc. Your feelings could be equated to the GPU, not necessary, but grants access to some pretty great games.\ninb4 integrated graphics\nNobody uses those anymore\n\nI really hope that this is a first step in converting normies out of existence.\n\n\n\nI fucking hate normies",

bodyYup. Even though Uranium isn't an official game, it still holds strong the core gameplay mechanics and principles of the real games. With the 8th generation games Coming Soon™, I thought it'd be a good idea to start a first-time playthrough of a fangame that generated a lot of controversy after Nintendo tried to take it down. I've always wanted to try playing it since I've heard of it, as well.

bodyReally nice to see a Pokemon stream here on Steemit, thanks for sharing! I've actually been doing some "historical" gaming posts lately, covering noteworthy games released in certain years, just made one about 98 which is when the original Gameboy Pokemon were out and it's really cool to see how the series evolves yet the core concept stays the same.
