      "body": "<center><a href='https://d.tube/#!/v/claireducky/2e6t7ab8'><img src='https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmQKc7JYN7wpGtEEJXqaJhMcg5SJrXuK1DjANG65ccBysx'></a></center><hr>\n\nIn this 5-minute video, I'll show you how I farm Icecrown Citadel 25-man raid (Heroic) on multiple toons without having to clear the trash and other bosses on all of them. \n\nICC is the final raid zone from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, and is easily soloable by most DPS classes level 90 and up. The final boss (the Lich King himself) can only be accessed if you clear all* the other bosses in the raid first, which makes farming him a bit of a chore if you don't know this trick. \n\n*You CAN skip Valithria Dreamwalker, by skirting around the right side of her room to the elevator down to Sindragosa's level.\n\nWhy would anyone want to farm ICC? Well, if you kill the Lich King in 25-man Heroic mode, he has a chance to drop one of the rarest mounts in the game: Invincible's Reins. This mount will ONLY drop from 25-man heroic LK, and only has a 1% chance of dropping. If you don't want to spend an hour or more on every alt you have to farm this raid, then here's how to go about making your runs quick and easy:\n\n1. On your main toon, fly to ICC in Northrend, and set the raid difficulty to 25-man NORMAL before you enter. (Yes, normal.) \n2. Clear the raid bosses up to and including Sindragosa.\n3. Turn around and ride up the right-side ramp off Sindragosa's balcony and use the teleporting pad to port to Light's Hammer, then exit the raid out the entrance portal.\n4. Once outside, open up Raid Finder, and start a custom group. Name it whatever you want, and make sure you check auto-accept. If all the alts you'll be using happen to be in the same guild as your main, you can also check the box that says \"private.\" This will keep random players from joining the group. You can always just kick them, though.\n5. After you've created the group, log out, and log into the alt you want to run next (ALT#1). Open up the custom group search in Raid Finder, search for your group, and join it. Auto-accept should add you into the group immediately. Wait a minute or so after joining and it should automatically make you the leader. \n(Note: Do NOT ever kick your main toon from the group.)\n6. Go to ICC, and outside the raid portal set the raid difficulty to 25-man NORMAL. Even if it already says you're set to 25N, just do it again anyway.\n7. Enter the raid, and a lockout warning box should pop up. Hover over it to see which bosses are still alive; their names will be green. Lich King should be green. If you don't get a lockout warning, or if it says 12/12, or his name is red, exit the raid, set to 25 normal again and enter again to retry. \n8. Accept the 25-Normal lockout. Then while inside the raid, change the difficulty to 25-Heroic. The raid will reload and you'll get a new lockout warning box, this time for heroic. Again, make sure the Lich King's name is green before you accept.\n9. After accepting the heroic lockout, run to the teleporter in Light's Hammer and teleport to Upper Spire. Run up the ramp and across the center platform, and it will automatically transport you to the LK's throne. Talk to Tirion to start the battle.\n(Note: A 110 makes this fight trivial, but make sure to don't step in black puddles in phase one, or let the falling ice spheres touch you in phase 2--kill them immediately with a ranged attack or they'll blow you off the platform to your death no matter what level you are).\n10. Kill the LK, sit through a couple minutes of roleplay and loot him. \n11. If you don't get the mount, hearth and logout, then start again at step number 5 with your next alt. If you're on Alt #2 or beyond, make sure you kick the previous alt from the group before entering the raid, but leave your main toon in the group at all times.\n12. Once you're out of alts to run it for the week, you have a choice to make: log back into your main toon to kill him one last time on 25 Heroic, OR you can just NOT kill him on your main, then extend your lockout to prevent having to clear the raid next week.\n13. If you go with the second option, wait until Tuesday rolls around (which is when raid lockouts usually reset.) Login to your main. Hit \"O\" to bring up the social menu. Click the Raids tab, then the Raid Info button. It will say Expired on Icecrown Citadel, but you can click that and choose to extend the lockout. Go to step #4 of this guide and start the process over again of killing him on all your alts.       "body": "Firelands was okay, but it was more the fact that it was a mid raid tier that felt like an introduction raid than it did a mid expac, that being said it was supposed to have Abyssal Maw in that patch as well, so we'll never know :(",

      "body": "Great post, and you're totally spot-on with your review. I thought Cata was *okay*, but I definitely wasn't impressed by it. However, I thought Firelands and Stonecore in Deepholm were pretty well-designed (or maybe I just got used to them given all the mount runs I've done in them). I definitely agree about Dragon Soul, for me that one is the most annoying raid since The Eye in TK.",

It's a longish raid to solo, but I always try to run it each week for the chance at the Mimiron's Head helicopter mount from Yogg-Saron. I've condensed my run down to 5 minutes here so you can see the entire raid run in a reasonable amount of time.\n\nYou can also get lots of nice pieces for transmogrification (IMO, some of the coolest-looking in the game), and usually a handful of BoE epics and greens, pets and crafting recipes. If you take the time to kill all the trash after XT-Deconstructor (especially in Freya's room), you will probably make around 2000 gold or more on the stuff you vendor--plus whatever you can sell on the auction house. Several of the bosses will also drop the Fragments of Val'anyr needed to make the legendary mace Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings. There's also a meta-achievement you can do in Ulduar; complete all the achievements and you get another mount.\n\nTo go for a FAST MOUNT RUN (as of Legion): Make sure you're in 25-man mode. As soon as you enter the raid, use the teleport pad by the entrance to teleport to the Ulduar Tram (or Spark of Imagination if it's available). Kill Mimiron (no need to do Hard mode like I did), then use the teleporter near his room to teleport back to the Observation Ring. Clear the other Keepers: Hodir, Freya, and Thorim. \n\nOnce you kill the Keepers, do NOT talk to them to ask for their assistance on Yogg-Saron. You have to kill Yogg without any Keepers helping you in order for the mount to have a chance to drop. Go down the Hall of Memories, kill General Vezax, then continue down to Yogg's room and kill him. If you're lucky, the Mimiron's Head mount will drop, or a vanity trinket that summons a creepy tentacle. The mount only has a 1.2% chance to drop, and will only drop in 25-man mode with NO KEEPERS helping you.\n\nIf you're a little underleveled and the Keepers are taking you too long, you CAN kill them all on 10-man mode.  After downing General Vezax, DO NOT KILL YOGG YET! Use the teleporter pad outside Yogg's room to port to the entrance of the raid. Go outside, set the difficulty to 25 man, and re-enter the raid. Use the teleporter again to go back to Yogg-Saron's room and kill him.
