Ethereum has broken above the stubborn 20 SMA, but needs to confirm a break with a candle closure. Until I see a confirmed bullish reversal signal on MACD, Momentum, and the 20 SMA indicators, which may be occur in another one or two candles, I anticipate a drop to the red resistance line at $157 to retest as support.       "body": "<html>\n<p><img src=\"https://www.tradingview.com/x/RHyTGRRI/\" width=\"1828\" height=\"881\"/></p>\n<p>First and foremost, I've slightly adjusted my indicator setup:</p>\n<ul>\n  <li>I have changed the RSI Strategy indicator to the <a href=\"https://trendmaster.io/\">TrendMaster</a> indicator by <a href=\"https://twitter.com/IchimokuScholar\">IchimokuScholar</a> and <a href=\"https://twitter.com/Crypto_C00kie\">Crypto_C00kie</a>. Check them out on Twitter.</li>\n  <li>I have adjusted my momentum indicator to include a MACD for further trend confirmation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The trade setup is essentially the same except the TrendMaster indicator prints out signal candles which I can use as a potential trade entry.</p>\n<p>The common Head &amp; Shoulders pattern that bears claim has been forming has been invalidated with another strong leg up. Price action pierced into the $5800 - $6200 target range only momentarily. I have two scenarios here to look for:</p>\n<ol>\n  <li>We establish $5650 - $5700 as a support before moving into the yellow zone.</li>\n  <li>We shoot straight back into the yellow zone and go into a consolidation period.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>A bullish MACD signal with a flip to bullish momentum on top of a recent signal candle shows me that there is still some strength here and scenario #2 seems more favorable.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>It would be unhealthy for BTC to continue any more strong legs up further without taking a breather. I do not expect us to tackle the Wall that is $6000 just yet. We should see sideways action for several days, allowing BTC Dominance to fall under %50 and subsequently encouraging cash flow into Altcoins. After a proper breather, we can begin the Herculean Task of breaking $6000. It is also foolish for new bulls to expect us to continue a straight shot upwards. A strong pull-back will happen; that's just the nature of any market.&nbsp;</p>\n</html>",

Since the huge spring up to $5,000 back in the beginning of April, we have been gaining steady bullish momentum and price action exists well above the 20 SMA. The Daily chart is more telling, so let's take a look at that.</p>\n<h2>BTCUSD - Daily</h2>\n<p><img src=\"https://www.tradingview.com/x/OqcmkCUm/\" width=\"1553\" height=\"881\"/></p>\n<p>One of the most common bearish calls I have seen lately is that BTC is printing a Head &amp; Shoulders pattern here. However, a higher low was formed, giving a weak neckline. It is worth noting that BTC has gained bearish momentum which causes some confusion as to what BTC will do in the short term. The previous bearish momentum was insignificant and still yielded upward price action.</p>\n<p>Price action established $5000 as a strong support and recently broke the mid $5300's resistance. A retest of this as support would prove bullish as it failed to do so several days ago. Next target is to break the previous high of the mid $5600's. The 20 SMA is closely following price action as well.</p>\n</html>",

So let's begin shall we? The ETHUSD weekly is starting to look promising. For reference, I have customized my indicators to tell me when I want to be in a trade (solid gold candle) and when I don't want to be in a trade (solid black candles). No, I don't take short positions. Not until Binance releases Margin Trading that is...&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The basic rundown is that I enter a trade under a few conditions:</p>\n<ol>\n  <li>The current candle is solid gold.</li>\n  <li>The candle is closed above a green 20 SMA.</li>\n  <li>The current candle is experiencing bullish momentum.&nbsp;</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Once in the trade, I will put a stop loss just under the entry candle's low value. I have no profit target, I just use a trailing stop loss. I am still back testing if I want to use Williams' Fractals or the subsequent candle's low as a trailing stop loss.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Anyway, like I said, ETHUSD on the weekly is beginning to look promising. Price action currently has two hurdles right now: To close above the red resistance at around $160, confirm it as support over the next couple of days, and then to break the green resistance line at around $180.</p>\n<p>ETHUSD has two major supports here to fall back on; the 20 SMA and and the white edge of the ascending triangle. Both are lining up almost on top of each other. A downward break of this support would be very foreboding. Previous historical support at $404 (drawn by Fibonacci Levels) was lost which caused numerous stop losses to be triggered and a large sell-off to occur. This was due to this price level being considered a full-retracement from the end of the previous leg up back in the summer of last year.\n\nThe 0.618 fib level is usually a crucial level to watch when dealing with Fibonacci. Should we lose this, look to the historical and psychological level of $200 USD for support.\n\nMost of, if not all altcoins generally look to the health of Ethereum when looking for bullish moves. Previous historical support at $404 (drawn by Fibonacci Levels) was lost which caused numerous stop losses to be triggered and a large sell-off to occur. This was due to this price level being considered a full-retracement from the end of the previous leg up back in the summer of last year.\r\n\r\nThe 0.618 fib level is usually a crucial level to watch when dealing with Fibonacci. Should we lose this, look to the historical and psychological level of $200 USD for support.\r\n\r\nMost of, if not all altcoins generally look to the health of Ethereum when looking for bullish moves. There are several possibilities here: Perhaps the most bullish would be that we are at the bottom of a cup and handle (C&amp;H) formation where we could see a retest of the ATH by next spring.\r\n\r\nA more bearish situation would be the possible formation of a head and shoulders (H&amp;S) pattern with a shoulder and a head already formed. Should this week close red, this scenario will have a stronger possibility.\r\n\r\nAs far as news, several ETF proposals have been denied by the SEC, but a few are under re-review. This only adds more uncertainty to the market.\r\n\r\nThe RSI rests in a neutral zone with bearish tendencies. A break above 50 may allow us upward progress.\r\n\r\nShould we break down, look to $4800. I have drawn out the obvious support and resistance levels here. The most eye-catching level right now is the support we are testing for the second time, the first being in April. This was established as a strong resistance area back before the huge bull move as it was tested three times before breaking up. Hopefully we can maintain this support.\r\n\r\nKeep in mind, we made a lower low with this current price action and that may indicated more blood on the way. If we lose this, $340 USD may be the last level before a long downfall.\r\n\r\nStoch remains oversold while RSI is in a low neutral zone. We may need to have RSI touch oversold before we can bounce back. This can be achieved with some sideways action.\r\n<h2>Daily   </h2>\r\n<center><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-289\" src=\"http://coinsholar.vornix.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/ethdaily8.9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1608\" height=\"905\" /></center><br/>\r\n\r\nHere we can see Ethereum has dipped into my buy zone. Well.... more like plunged. It also pierced through support momentarily before bouncing a bit. It is tough to say what will happen over the next few days. \r\n\r\nStoch is deeply oversold and RSI broke into oversold territory as well for the first time in months. However, this was a loss of RSI support at 30 where we saw bounces before. This may be indicative of a willingness to fully reverse instead of just another leg down.\r\n\r\nI want to be bullish, but this market makes it so hard. \r\n\r\nAs long as we remain above this level, I remain bullish.\r\n<h2>4 Hour</h2>\r\n<center><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-292\" src=\"http://coinsholar.vornix.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/eth4h8.91.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1608\" height=\"908\" /></center><br/>\r\n\r\nWe saw a bit of support before going into this green zone with a strong plunge after the break. There has been a gradual recovery over the past several hours, but there is strong selling pressure as indicated by the longer top wicks on these candles. \r\n\r\nStoch is approaching overbought rapidly, but Stoch remains just within oversold conditions, likely looking for a breakout.
