      "body": "I'm just waiting for some money to come in so I can  to Colorado and California to prospect for gold. \nMy crypto mining operation isn't working very well. I got the new graphics card but it doesn't work well with any of my computers. I think the memory and such is just too slow. \nAs it is, I'm making about $1.00/day with my operation. That's probably as good as it gets without spending much money on new computers and such. \nOn other news. My coin sold and I'll have about $7,000 from it's sale. \nI'll be using the money to finance my prospecting trip. I plan on starting an \"LLC\" company so if I go bust again at least it will be the business that's bankrupt and not me. \nThat's a mistake I made in 2015. I went heavily in debt because of the trip to California.\nI'm going to do things differently, this time. I'll be living out of my van instead of living in motels and apartments. \nBefore I go West I'll try to find gold near here. \nI intend to keep my expenses down; I should do better.\nWe'll see.\nLater",

      "body": "I was reading something that was talking about how goals animate people it made me think about how goal-less I am.\n\nI kept busy for a while, starting my crypto mining operation, but now that it's going, I don't have anything to occupy my time.\n\nThe mining farm isn't really making much money but it's going to take some real money to improve it.\n\nIt'll have to wait until after I get my money from the sale of the rare coin. That'll be after May 11th.\n\nI bought a graphics card that should improve my mining when I thought I had money coming from the sale of the coin right away. Now, I'm wondering how I will meet my bills for this month.\n\nI'm hoping for more snow this weekend. I'm afraid it's too late in the season for me to make much more money shoveling snow but anything will be appreciated.\n\nEverything is on hold until I get that check.\n\nI'm hoping to visit the East Coast and tour some Civil War battlefields.\n\nAfter that, I'll go west and pan gold for a while.\n\nBefore going to California, I'm going to try to find gold around here.       "body": "I've been busy working on my crypto miners. I've got 10 machines and I'm not getting much return in crypto.\n\nI haven't been able to get any GPU mining working with my cards, software, and computers. I'm doing everything as cheaply as possible and it's not working.\n\nI have been able to get every machine I have working but they are too old and my graphics cards are to old to really do anything with; but Ill keep trying.\n\nTonight, I'm taking a hard drive out of one of my more useless machines and putting it into my most hopeful machine. I almost had it working with one of my minergate software.\n\nI hope that I'll be able to get it going with the latest graphics card drivers and maybe some older mining software. I'll just keep playing around with this stuff until I get something to work.\n\nOn a different topic, the auction for the rare coin that my brother gave me is this week. I'm really anxious about it.\n\nIt'll sell about 6:30 this Thursday night. I'll be watching it at Java Johns. Brian said that if I get a lot of money I'll have to buy him a latte. I shoveled snow late Saturday night and then spent the following Sunday, scraping ice. \nEven though I made so much money I had an overdraft at the bank, today. It's another reason to use crypto currency. I can't tell how much money I have in the account even though I check it regularly. I'll ask around and see if I can use Litecoin or something to pay my bills with. \nI've got a couple of things at auctions.\nFirst is an etching at Ebay. I'll sell it for $350 if nobody bids against the first bidder; otherwise it'll sell for $500.\nAlso, I have a coin for sale at a high level auction in Baltimore this March. Right now, it's being bid at $10, online. \nIt's supposed to go for between $4,000 and $48,000. It's just wild how much the valuation can vary on a coin. \nMy crypto mining farm is coming along. I still haven't been able to mine with GPU's but I'm up to about a dollar a day. \nI'm still waiting for parts and adapters from Ebay.\nIt'll come along.\nLater",

      "body": "I made some money, shoveling snow today. It didn't really snow that much but it kept at it; so at one of my places I had to shovel twice. \n\nI figure I made about $70. Which was much needed. \n\nI'm still working on my crypto mining farm. I've gotten 8 machines mining with their CPUs. \n\nIt would be better to use graphics cards but I'm just not that far advanced, yet. Every time I plug an additional graphics card in my monitor goes blank. I guess the new card takes over the image and it disables the on-board graphics. \n\nI ordered an adapter for the video from China. I hope it gets here soon.\n\nI'll also have to have appropriate software for mining. I can download something for Linux for free and I'll do that next week. I suspect that I'll need some sort of wiring adapters as well. We'll see. \n\nI was surprised to see that people are using laptops for graphics card mining. It'll cost $100 or so to make that work but it should be worth it. \n\nI just hope I don't end up getting into trouble for using too much electricity. My electricity is included as part of the rent and I don't want to mess with that. \n\nBy the way, I'm on Steemit, now. In my first two postings I've made over $2.00. It's taken me 5 or 6 years to make $10 on Blogger. And I have to wait until I have over $100 here to actually withdraw it. \n\nI think I'll just transfer to Steemit and I like the idea of getting paid in crypto currency, as well.\n\nThe only machine I haven't been able to get to work says that it's limiting the memory to 256 meg. Nick said that maybe the machine is so old that it can only use 256 meg. \n\nI don't know. I think I may simply have the wrong ram modules in it. \n\nI can't tell much about this machine. I think it was assembled at a local computer shop. Maybe the motherboard ill have a name on it. That would help. If I can tell which motherboard it is, I should be  able to find out what kind of ram it takes. I'll do that tomorrow. It's late now so I think I'll call it a day.\n\nLater",

      "body": "I'm having troubles getting my mining farm working.\nFirst, the computer I bought yesterday from Luther College doesn't work with my monitor. When I was using desktops (about 5 or 6 years ago) they all used VGA monitors. I only have 1 VGA monitor and the cards I bought on Ebay and the Luther computer don't work with VGA. \nI don't even know what they are using; I'll have to do a bunch of Google searches and see if I can figure it out.\nI'm too broke to buy anything on Ebay to get things working. \nI do have 4 computers working so that's a start.\nOne guy wants to sell me a couple of desktops for $15 or $20 and they sound really good. I just don't have the money right now. I offered to trade him a silver coin but I haven't heard back from him\nSteemit, on the other hand, has turned out to be a money maker. I'm already up by $1.97. That was from 1 posting of my normal blog. I've been on Blogspot for at least 6 years and I'm only up $10 for the whole 6 years. I should have gotten on Steemit earlier. \nI got my forms for taxes from Etrade last night. Now I can file income taxes. I should get a nice return. \nI used the free tax program from Credit Karma last year. \nI'll do it again today. I need the money for mining crypto. \nI also listed one of my etching (by Malcolm Childers) on Ebay. I'm asking $500 for it and another seller is asking $2800. Maybe it will move.\nLater",

      "body": "I'm setting up a mining operation for mining Monero. That's a crypto currency that stresses privacy.\n\nI've got 4 laptops mining now. They're too slow to really make much money; so I bought some old desktops that I can add graphics card to. \n\nRight now I'm waiting for the cards and memory modules from Ebay. Most of the parts are coming from Asia so it will be a while before I can really get things rolling. I hope I can get them producing at a much better rate than it's going now. It's taking me several months to get $10 worth of coins.\n\nOn a similar note, I sent off some money to a guy named Troy who has a YouTube site called \"The Do It yourself world\". I'm going to share his production on a higher end mining rig. I should be able to make $40/month.\n\nI'm afraid that I've been spending too much time and money on crypto mining and not enough on getting my etchings sold on Ebay.
