But I’d like to point out a different approach that I personally tried and proved more efficient improving my life, I believe. &nbsp;This approach is to focus on good habits instead of bad ones and has three main components:&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Try doable new things</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Don’t be too picky or seek validation from outside to go ahead and try new things as long as you can realistically do them both physically and financially. Now, some of those new things you’re going to try, maybe most of them, may turn to be new bad experiences or even new bad habits, that’s a risk. But if you identify one good habit or great experience every year it has the potential to change your life in a better way and will help you down the road when you finally gather momentum to change your lifestyle to a better, healthier and just happier new one.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>This is effectively shifting the emphasis to the positive choices rather than dwelling on the wrong ones. It basically consolidates your resolutions that you fail at every year into one. <strong>Do new things</strong>.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Accept your imperfections</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Failure is an ingredient of success and the notion of absolute only exists in the minds of the stupid or the realm of complex math in dimensions that most of us are never going to pick interest for. So, accept your shape, your personality and assume your mistakes. Success is just a ratio. &nbsp;</p>\n<p>The order of these two components is obviously not that important whichever you can do first or if you can start both process at the same time. The important thing is to <strong>start</strong>.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><em>Thanks for making it this far or if you skipped because you’re here just for the crypto talk here we go.</em> &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Invest</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>In everything. Invest in your relationships in your education or in a business. Everything is an investment where you learn how to control your life whether you make profit or not. The invaluable gain of knowledge is always there. Honestly, if you’re drawing a salary or have any kind of income and you’re not investing you’re missing out a lot. &nbsp;One of the most deterring aspects of investing is the high barrier for entry both in the know-how and capital aspects. In stock markets or small businesses people need training and a lot of free time that most of us can’t afford. But that’s not the case with <strong>Cryptocurrencies</strong>.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Anyone can setup an account put the amount of money he/she is willing to lose and start the journey that might potentially improve his/her life.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>This is just what I decided to do this year. Create a crypto portfolio by identifying promising tokens and investing in them 100 Euro every month till the end of the year and then writing about the experience. This article would be the first in a series of monthly posts documenting my learnings during the past month. I have no intention to day daily trading so I will be holding every asset I buy unless something majeur happens.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>The beginning&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>I set aside a 150 Euro as a risk capital for this first month adventure. But I had to figure out how one can own a token first. I read dozens of those click-bait-y articles on how to be a successful crypto-investor first, but got no real value except from knowing that I need a wallet and exchange accounts to do anything. So I went ahead and tried all the crypto wallets that google returned to me. I went with <a href=\"https://metamask.io/\">MetaMask</a>, because it was the easiest in my opinion and handily available on my browser. I then went on to try and buy some coins and I learned that I need either Bitcoin or Ethereum to buy anything in the crypto realm. I needed an Exchange.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>What is an exchange?</strong> And how to get one?&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Worry not, it just a trading platform for Cryptos, a place where you can open an account and get coins exchanged and some of them offer Cryptos for fiat currencies (USD, EUR, etc). So I went ahead and created a <a href=\"https://www.coinbase.com\">Coinbase</a> account, got verified in few minutes, linked my Visa card and bought a 100 Euro worth of Ether. On any wallet or exchange you’ll have an address (a long string of characters) for each type of Cryptocurrency you have on your wallet where you can receive quantities of that currency.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Which currency to invest in?</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>I won’t even pretend that I know the answer but I’ll tell what I did so far. After some googling sessions I landed on <a href=\"https://coinmarketcap.com\">coinmarketcap</a> where all of the tradable currencies are nicely listed with price and a bunch of other staff. So I went ahead and started reading through the wealth of information provided on the site about those coins listed on the top. When you click on a coin you get to see the history of that coin price both in Bitcoin value and USD plus the exchanges where that currency is available to buy/sell. I was also visiting the website of the coin and try to understand who is behind it and what is it about.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Which ones did I chose?</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;I went with <a href=\"https://ripple.com/\">Ripple</a> first and I invested around 40 Euro then bought 20 Euro worth of <a href=\"https://iota.org/\">IOTA</a> I then thought maybe investing in cheap tokens might be more interesting since the history of both Ripple and IOTA shows that the prices where dirt cheap just few months back (I am greedy I know). Anyway, I went with <a href=\"https://www.dentcoin.com/\">DENT</a> and bought 70 Euro worth of it then around 10 Euro worth of <a href=\"https://tronlab.com/\">TRON</a> and spent the rest (10 Euro) on <a href=\"https://www.cardanohub.org/\">Cardano</a>.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Why these?</strong> Scouring the forums on <a href=\"https://iqoption.com\">IQ Option</a> and the social tab on coinmarketcap on the coin pages I could see that these coins where attracting fellow investors and thought maybe following the herd at this stage won’t hurt. &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>How did this work for you so far?</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;Too early to judge but after one week my portfolio is showing above 50% profit on average and I hope it continues in this trend.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>As I said this is the first article of many I intend to post in the next months detailing my journey in crypto-land.
