      "body": "A mid-life crisis....at 45!\n\nI can see myself now, 1995, thin, started at the alter about to get married...with hair!  I looked into my beautiful wife's eyes and thought 'what the f**k am I doing?'  We'd just had our first child which we sort of planned and now we both wanted to do the right thing and tie the knot.  We'd been together for several years and been child hood sweethearts I suppose you could say, so we set a date, the mother-in-law took over and 5 months later here I stand.\n\nNow....45, broke, 6 kids (24,21,17, 14, 7, 6) no house, no pension and working my ass off to provide and be the man that everyone expects me to be.   I'm not the most intelligent person on the planet and I didn't do particularly well at school, but I've always had a bit of a gob on me and so I thought I'd have a crack at sales as a young kid.  Instilled by my father my work ethic is the reason I can say I've done ok in life so far, though it's taken some hard F'in work and risks taken that 75% have probably been the wrong choice. Yes, we lived and traveled around the world to some beautiful parts of the world,  and luckily we've shed 3 of the kids now and the pace is slowing.\n\nWhy crypto? What the hell am I thinking and why now at 45?  Why didn't I pay into a pension?  Call me stupid, blame my expensive 'shopaholic' wife, make economic excuses, the reasons just don't matter anymore it's where I go from here and how can I solve the solution of finding a pension alternative and can I do it!?\n\n12 months ago I sat, watching the news and Bitcoin came upon the screen, as a report briefly mentioned some movement and the popularity of the currency had seen a jump.  My eyes opened and a thought jumped into my head 'pension', could this be the vehicle I needed to make the difference to my retirement plan that has so far gone to shit?  I started googling, researching, youtubing, etc anything and everything I could find on Bitcoin.  How does it work?  Is it a scam, can I do this or is it a young man techy game?!!!!\n\nGod this is F'ing complicated, my first thought as I read and read, blockchain, mining, nodes, exchanges, bollocks, bollocks and more bollocks..... to begin with it was overwhelming and as I went through some of the detail I honestly thought about throwing in the towel.  BUT.... it started to make sense and the more and more I looked into it the more I understood.  I started to collect free crypto through small facets online and each day I watched 1-2 youtubers and followed what they had to say.  The more I watched and read, the more and more I started to put the pieces together, but admittedly it wasn't easy.  I found myself checking the sites every few hours, I felt the 'bug' and a constant need to explore further and further.\n\nYou see in my 30's I'd go to work, come back at night, kick the kids to bed, kiss the wife goodnight and then play the Playstation all night.  Now in my 40's cryptocurrency has taken over and consumes my time as I try to learn and focus on what could be.  I must admit it's good fun and I've even thought about starting my own youtube channel......Oh,  yeah and started this blog on Steemit....another thing I've got to learn and understand LOL.\n\nAs a middle age family man I have to do best by the 7 other members of my direct family, without risking their futures and maintaining their safety, security and betterment in life.  My kids mean the world to me and my wife makes me a better person, even though I could kill her sometimes, we have gotten through 24 years of marriage and 6 children that make me proud everyday.  The choices I'm making now in crypto will not break my family but could make the difference in our lives for the future.\n\nBack in the 80's the internet boom hit and a lot of people made a lot of money, I want a piece this time around and the crypto bubble could be the opportunity my generation could take advantage on.  So, why I am writing this blog?  I want to make a difference, not to how it works and how to make money but how this tech will change our lives 'just like the internet' and what is the best way to create a REALISTIC mass adoption method to bring the people into cryptocurrency.  How can I/we see the opportunity of getting YOU (the worldwide community, everyday guy/gal) involved in Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies?\n\nLet's get real, THE BANKS RUN THE WORLD, not the governments, it's the money and who controls it.  What are the BANKS?  They are Centralised organisations with the power of doing just about anything, money, power, governments, decisions, etc, etc... Why the HELL would the banks allow blockchain tech to centralise banking & world currencies? THEY WOULDN'T!!!  The beauty of the blockchain tech is that to can make a difference in other areas before we tackle the end game of removing the dollar, pound, yen, etc....\n\nSo what can we do and how can we do it?\n\nWe start at the beginning, we stop trying to bring down the system, we aim small and let supply & demand bring the success into crypto.  We can't sell people into a system that isn't ready and how can we say it's better when it doesn't do what it says it can.   Guys, make no mistake 'blockchain' and 'crytpocurrency' is the future and will be a major worldwide currency, but for now we need to get more people involved, not just to make money but to buy into the vision.\n\nIf you are new to this idea, tech and community then start to read, experiment, watch online and take sometime coz this WILL be the opportunity of YOUR lifetime.\n\nIf you experienced and know the game then please STOP preaching, play in our own field, stay under the radar, bring people & new ideas in, stop shrilling, introduce the tech and NOT the 'get rich quick' aspect of blockchain, these should be a benefit of taking an interest and NOT an unnecessary risk that truly CANNOT be tracked accurately.\n\n'IN MY HUMBLE OPINION AFTER 12 MONTHS IN THIS GAME, THERE ARE NO EXPERTS IN THIS SPACE, JUST PEOPLE WITH VARIOUS LEVELS OF OPINION AND EXPERIENCE' get involved for the right reasons.\n\nThank you for listening to my orange box blog.\n\nThe Dummie",
