| body | Nyeri is a small agricultural town in the heart of Kenya. It's a beautiful place, but not the kind of place you would expect the tag, "bitcoin (BTC) accepted here." But its actually happening. A restaurant in this mountain slopes town is accepting BTC as a mode of payment, and people are embracing it. This points to the fact that crypto adoption is indeed happening. The world is finally embracing blockchain technology! For crypto investors, this is a reason to HODL even more. |

| body | Major economies seem headed into a trade war that could have a major impact on the flow of goods and services across the world. At the same time some major economies especially in Europe are in a very weak position financially. Actually, they are technically insolvent and are a disaster waiting to happen. A combination of these factors could create a systemic collapse in the global economy, one that would be worse than the 2008 financial meltdown. There will no safety in traditional risk-free assets like bonds. Hyper-inflation too could easily become a reality after years of qualitative easing. This could mark the point where cryptocurrencies take over the world. Their decentralized nature, as well as their utility in transferring value, could see cryptos get adopted as currencies all across the world. It would usher in the true decentralized economy that many in crypto have envisioned. |

| body | Many investors are staying away from ripple (XRP) out of the fear that it might be declared a security. However, if you look at ripple (XRP) more deeply, you would realize that it will never be declared a security, and for some very valid reasons. First ripple (XRP) has been around for years, and since the regulatory issues came up late last year, ripple has not been mentioned anywhere by U.S authorities. If ripple were an illegal unregistered security, regulators would have gone after them a long time ago. If anything, ripple (XRP) works hand-in-hand with regulators. Besides, ripple (XRP) is very different from ripple the company. Ripple (XRP) would exist even if ripple the company were to become insolvent. That’s because XRP is a decentralized blockchain platform, just like bitcoin or any cryptocurrency in the market. XRP also has a utility, unlike a stock that only represents ownership in a company. That’s the furthest thing from a security. That’s why it makes sense to accumulate on ripple (XRP) when it’s still low. Once the authorities come out clearly and state that ripple (XRP) is not a security, its value will overshoot its all-time highs. |

| body | Ethereum (ETH) is at the very beginning of long-term bull-run. This is quite visible in the weekly charts where it has formed a higher-low, with the 55-day moving average offering strong support. The 55 – day MA is a strong support because after dropping for months, Ethereum reversed at this moving average, at around $377. It then rallied to $824 before correcting back to the 55-day moving average at $496. For a long-entry with an exit target of next weekend (8th – 9th June), it is best to wait for Ethereum to break above the 55- day moving average on the daily charts, at around $628 -$630. Once in, the first price level to watch is $700 – 720, around the 200-day moving average. If it breaks above this level, the next target should be $780 - $800, a price level that Ethereum has consolidated at, in the past. Summary: Entry level - $628 – 630 First possible exit point - $700 Second possible exit point - $780 - $800 PS: This is not financial advice. |

| body | The crypto market has been dropping for the last two weeks, with bitcoin falling from a high of over $9500 to its current prices of sub $7500. However, there is one project that seems to be performing quite well, and that’s blocknet. Today is up by over 22% in intra-day trading, and seems to be gaining even further. So what’s driving it? First, there is the fact that it is built on some very strong fundamentals. Blocknet is a blockchain agnostic platform that allow different blockchains to communicate. In essence, blocknet is positioning itself as the backbone of the decentralized internet, which at this point is clearly the future. Blocknet also provides an environment for the development of decentralized exchanges. This is actually the biggest reason why blocknet has grown so fast in the recent past. People are increasingly becoming aware of the dangers of centralized exchanges. After a series of exchange hacks in the last few months, people are skeptical of leaving their money in exchanges. Of course, the recent Bitcoin gold attack in which, exchanges lost millions of dollars is making the case for decentralized exchanges even stronger, and blocknet is at the forefront on this new emerging paradigm. Blocknet is also being driven by the positive news they have been releasing in the recent past. For instance, they recently announcement the introduction of the Xrouter. The Xrouter is a component of the blocknet ecosystem that allows for blockchain records verification, without the need to download the blockchain involved. This is a big deal because it has laid the ground work for the explosion of light-weight decentralized applications. Thanks to the Xrouter, blocknet is poised to become the biggest platform for blockchain-based applications for everyday use. Xrouter is actually the first blockchain light-client wallet for cross-chain applications. This gives it a fist-mover advantage in this space, and is guaranteed to grow in value as such cross-chain apps grow in popularity. Therefore, it is not surprising that investors are taking advantage to buy blocknet at current prices. This crypto is also being driven by the fact that their project coordinator just gave an interview, explaining some of the things they have in the pipeline. All of them are amazing. For instance, he announced that they are working on integrating their network with custom blockchains such as Monero. Once they achieve this, blocknet will pretty much be headed towards integrating all other blockchains into their network, and this will add to its fundamental strength. With all these factors at play, it is clear that blocknet will continue to grow even when bitcoin and other coins are showing weakness in the market. The factors contributing to the recent drop in the crypto market all play, towards making blocknet even stronger in the market. This is one project that will reward long-term investors big-time. It may not have much hype in the market right now, but once decentralized exchanges become the norm, blocknet will hit the moon. |

| body | Today, Korean exchange Korbit delisted privacy coins. That's after Japan's Coin Check took similar steps yesterday. This has led many to believe that privacy coins might not survive, once regulations come in place. Personally, I believe privacy coins are about to gain ground and emerge stronger than ever. That's because, they will now fall back to their core use, and that's offering transaction privacy. Privacy coins were not designed to sit pretty on exchanges for speculative purposes. They were designed to mask transactions, and give people the freedom to transact without anyone snooping around their money. With Governments increasingly focused on taxing cryptocurrencies, people looking to transact big money without attracting taxes will increasingly turn to these coins. And there are many people who want this privacy. We recently saw the backlash Bitfinex faced, after asking investors to fill tax-related forms. That was an indicator that privacy is still valued in crypto. That's not to say that all privacy coins will survive. Only the very best among them will make the cut! As for which ones will make it, that's up to personal research. Personally, I believe PIVX (PIVX) will emerge as the top privacy coin in the next few years. |

| body | What are your projections for bitcoin in the next 5 years? Ask anyone this question, and the answer will be something like $30k, $50k, $100k. Some will even tell you that it could hit $1 million. I am yet to see someone who projects that bitcoin might actually go lower than its current price levels. With everyone so bullish, let's take a critical look at bitcoin and see whether these price predictions are realistic. After all, bitcoin is an investment like any other, and it always pays to understand the risks, right? In the last few years, we have seen an upsurge in cryptos that outperform bitcoin on all fronts. They are faster, cheaper, and way more scalable than bitcoin. This explains why bitcoin’s market share has dropped over time. This doesn't augur so well with the $100k - $1 million bitcoin projection. But someone can argue that some of these issues will be resolved, and bitcoin will regain its glory. But is that really the case? To contextualize this, let’s assume that an improvement like the lightning network makes bitcoin faster, and lowers the transaction costs. Would this make bitcoin more attractive than its competitors. Absolutely not! At the moment, we have cryptos that can do crazy transaction speeds, and at a fraction of the cost of bitcoin; with or without the lightning network. Digibyte is a perfect example of such cryptos. Then there is the fact that private blockchains are on the rise. These blockchains are being adopted by corporations, and are making the news every day. Do they need bitcoin? NO! That's why there are so many good news about blockchain adoption, but the price of bitcoin doesn't change much. That’s an indicator of the future we can expect in crypto-sphere. Blockchain will rise, and get adopted widely, but bitcoin and a good chunk of the coins in the market today, might not be a part of that success! When you put these factors together, it’s hard to see a justification for bitcoin getting to $100k. Then again, the crypto market is not known for its rationality. Bitcoin could pull a surprise bull rally and hit $1 million in the next 5 years. However, as an investor, don’t jump in with both legs. Invest, but also research on some other cryptos that correlate better with emerging market trends. It never hurts to diversify. PS: THIS IS NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE. |

| body | There is growing consensus that smart contracts are the future of blockchain, and the decentralized economy. That's because they cut on costs by eliminating unnecessary middlemen in almost all industries. Unfortunately, even as smart contracts become an integral part of 21st- century life, very few people can create them. It takes a high level of programming expertise and experience, to come up with a smart contract. That’s why I believe there is a future for blockchain projects that allow programming novices to create smart contracts. There are lots of people who would love to create smart contracts, but don’t have the time to learn programming from scratch, for them to achieve this end. As such, blockchain projects such as My Wish (WISH) and BlockCAT have a real and growing demand, as more people get to learn of the power of smart contracts. These projects allow anyone with or without programming knowledge to create and deploy smart contracts. In my view, My Wish (WISH) has an edge on this front. That's because it already has a working product. Many other projects targeting this market are all works-in-progress, and might find it hard to gain any traction. |

"body": "There is growing consensus that smart contracts are the future of blockchain, and the decentralized economy. That's because they cut on costs by eliminating unnecessary middlemen in almost all industries. Unfortunately, even as smart contracts become an integral part of 21st- century life, very few people can create them. It takes a high level of programming expertise and experience, to come up with a smart contract.\n\nThat’s why I believe there is a future for blockchain projects that allow programming novices to create smart contracts. There are lots of people who would love to create smart contracts, but don’t have the time to learn programming from scratch, for them to achieve this end. \n\nAs such, blockchain projects such as My Wish (WISH) and BlockCAT have a real and growing demand, as more people get to learn of the power of smart contracts. These projects allow anyone with or without programming knowledge to create and deploy smart contracts. \n\nIn my view, My Wish (WISH) has an edge on this front. That's because it already has a working product. Many other projects targeting this market are all works-in-progress, and might find it hard to gain any traction. \n",

| body | XinFin is one of the most interesting projects in the market at the moment. Based in Singapore, this blockchain projects is focused on global trade and Finance, and wants to eliminate inefficiencies in all aspects of trade. Here’s is why you should be looking to invest in this project this year. 1. It is a hybrid blockchain Anyone who has been into crypto long enough knows that hybrid blockchains are the future. That’s because they make sense to corporations, and that’s where adoption is lacking at the moment. Hybrid blockchains are scalable, and offer corporations the data privacy they need for them to adopt blockchain technology. That’s why a hybrid project like XinFin is guaranteed to get adopted faster than public blockchains, once people get to know about it. Signs of XinFin mass adoption are already there; with Ramco systems, a world renowned corporation, building blockchain solutions for its over 500 clients on the XinFin hybrid blockchain. Once more companies follow join, and they are coming, expect XinFin (XDC) to moon. 2. It has been featured on major publications Cryptocurrencies always respond positively to mainstream news. To validate this, you just need to look at Bitcoin’s price after a series of negative highlights in the mainstream media in the last few months. Now imagine how big of a deal it is, when a relatively new project like XinFin gets featured on major news outlets like BBC Business and Reuters. That’s a big deal, right? Well, XinFin (XDC) has been featured in over ten major publications across the world. That’s an indication that there is something fundamentally sound about this project. Naturally, this validation by the MSM will give XinFin (XDC) a boost to grow faster, than lesser known blockchain projects that are flooding the market every day. 3. It’s already listed on multiple exchanges The exchanges that a cryptocurrency is listed on, are always a good indicator of its trading volumes. That’s why we always see massive pumps whenever a coin is added to a new exchange. Now imagine investing in a new project that is already listed on more than five exchanges? That’s a gem, right? Well, that’s exactly what you get by investing in XinFin (XDC). XinFin is already listed on six exchanges including ForkDelta, and many more are in the pipeline. As trading volumes increase on these exchanges, you can expect the value of XinFin (XDC) to keep growing in 2018 and beyond. 4. Its beta version is live There are many overhyped projects out there that don’t even have a beta version, yet they have made massive price gains. Now compare that to an exciting project like XinFin (XDC) that has a working product. The XinFin beta version was launched during an Indian blockchain summit, and is live! In the beta version, enterprises can use it for different functions including keeping land records, instant cross border payments among others. That’s a positive indicator to the long-term value of this project. It shows how serious the developer team is, in making this project work. At its current price of around 0.00356484, this is one of those projects that could easily hit a dollar very soon, and make early investors extremely wealthy. |

| body | I recently came across an interesting interview between Abra CEO Bill Barhydt and an Angel investor on Coin journal regarding the 2017 crypto boom. Barhydt is of the view that it’s Japan that pushed up the market in 2017. However, what I found most interesting is his observation that there is a good percentage of investors who are HODLing, and are unwilling to liquidate irrespective of the price. It doesn’t matter whether bitcoin is at $1000 or $100k, they just won’t sell. And therein lies the problem. When getting into any investment, you must have an exit strategy. Otherwise, you will pile-up losses in the long-run. That’s because markets move in cycles, and unless you learn how to ride them, you will never make money. To give you perspective on this, just look at the crypto market in 2017. Anyone who had a good exit strategy made a lot of money by cashing out in December. Those are the same people who will still make lots of money again, in the next boom. Why? Because they are very liquid at the moment, and are collecting high value cryptos on the cheap. Adopt a similar strategy too. Don’t just HODL without an exit strategy. You may think that you are contributing to crypto growth by doing so, but in reality, you are only hurting your chances of getting wealthy. Besides, if everyone were to HODL, liquidity would dry up, and the market would collapse. The trick is to approach the crypto market like the wealthy approach the stock markets. They cash out in boom time, and buy-in during market crashes, when everyone else is unsure about getting in. |

| body | There are many crypto holders who are feeling jittery about their investments right now. That’s after Twitter announced a ban on all crypto related adverts. However, you really have nothing to worry about, because that information is already factored into current prices. To understand this, you just need to compare the current price drop to the drop after Google announced that it was banning crypto adverts. After Google’s announcement, the market dropped drastically, with bitcoin dropping from over $9000 to lows of $7200. That’s because the move was unexpected, and naturally, investors panicked. From that point on, speculation was rife that Twitter would be following suite, and pull a similar move as Google and Facebook. That’s why when the move finally happened yesterday, people were not surprised. You can see this in the price of most cryptos at the moment. After Twitter’s announcement, Bitcoin dropped slightly from $8400 to around $7700 before stabilizing back at around $8000. Most other cryptos are in the green too, after slight drops yesterday. This is an indication that Twitter’s move was well anticipated, and already factored in at current prices. The future of cryptocurrencies is still bright even after this blackout by major internet companies. In fact, this relentless push to silence cryptocurrencies is an indication that there is something powerful about blockchain technology that governments and big business are afraid of. Personally, I believe their fear is that this technology could easily render their business models obsolete, and take away their power. Why would Google not be afraid of blockchain technology, when a platform like Dtube has the potential to take business away from YouTube? Why would Facebook and Twitter not feel threatened, when decentralized social media platforms that allow users to earn from their data, are on the rise? One American bank recently announced that cryptocurrencies were a threat to its business! That should give you perspective, on where all the negativity is coming from. With this mind, you need to stay strong and hold on to your cryptos. The current environment is tough, but we are in the middle of a major revolution. Whoever stays strong will reap big once blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies go mainstream. In fact, a smart investor would capitalize on the current environment, and stock up on good coins. PS: THIS INFORMATION IS NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE, AND I AM NOT A QUALIFIED FINANCIAL ADVISOR. ALWAYS INVEST WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. |
