Of course we have our problems much like anywhere else but, all in all the standard of life here is hard to beat. We are really spoiled for adventure the weather is pretty amazing and the people are friendly, hospitable and very welcoming to tourists. In short South Africa is a world in one country. \n\nI got involved with the internet in it's dawning days when I was based in Los Angeles promoting an organization I founded namely \"The Wildlife Heritage Foundation\". My love for the bush life,plus  fauna and flora and the plight of endangered species was and remains very dear to me. So much so that I subsequently founded \"Tag The White Flag\". A foundation where we encourage people from all walks of life to surrender to becoming M.A.D.E. (Making A Difference Everyday ) More about this later... suffice to say that everything I get myself involved in will always be formed around bringing about  positive change.\n\nI have learned much and have still much to learn, and by that I mean I came from an era which was BC (before computers) LOL ... That said I quickly realized way back in 1992 that the internet would be a very powerful marketing tool and could be used to bring attention to absolutely anything ...Little did I know it would eclipse any and all other forms of marketing and that our very existence would rely and depend on it.\n\nLet's fast track to the present I am a super proud Dad of a son who is about to turn 21 unfortunately for him I  started my family planning really late as before we fell pregnant I had reached the ripe old age of 40. Needless to say my son kept me young and I have learned much about myself and that unconditional love and selflessness is easy to achieve for your child.  I won't get all soppy on you now I am simply just letting you get to know me. \n\nThe title of this blog \"Do you think you could get to know, like and trust me ? \" the reason I asked this question is that I feel it is really important to build a relationship with folks you meet online and that takes authenticity, honesty and just being yourself warts and all.\n\nAt the ripe old age of 61 now which happened very recently to be exact the 14th December...Yet ...       "body": "My name is Carl Van Haght. \n\nI am based in Cape Town South Africa where life in general is great ... Of course we have our problems much like anywhere else but, all in all the standard of life here is hard to beat. We are really spoiled for adventure the weather is pretty amazing and the people are friendly, hospitable and very welcoming to tourists. In short South Africa is a world in one country. \n\nI got involved with the internet in it's dawning days when I was based in Los Angeles promoting an organization I founded namely \"The Wildlife Heritage Foundation\". My love for the bush life,plus  fauna and flora and the plight of endangered species was and remains very dear to me. So much so that I subsequently founded \"Tag The White Flag\". A foundation where we encourage people from all walks of life to surrender to becoming M.A.D.E. (Making A Difference Everyday ) More about this later... suffice to say that everything I get myself involved in will always be formed around bringing about  positive change.\n\nI have learned much and have still much to learn, and by that I mean I came from an era which was BC (before computers) LOL ... That said I quickly realized way back in 1992 that the internet would be a very powerful marketing tool and could be used to bring attention to absolutely anything ...Little did I know it would eclipse any and all other forms of marketing and that our very existence would rely and depend on it.\n\nLet's fast track to the present I am a super proud Dad of a son who is about to turn 21 unfortunately for him I  started my family planning really late as before we fell pregnant I had reached the ripe old age of 40. Needless to say my son kept me young and I have learned much about myself and that unconditional love and selflessness is easy to achieve for your child.  I won't get all soppy on you now I am simply just letting you get to know me. \n\nThe title of this blog \"Do you think you could get to know, like and trust me ? \" the reason I asked this question is that I feel it is really important to build a relationship with folks you meet online and that takes authenticity, honesty and just being yourself warts and all.\n\nAt the ripe old age of 61 now which happened very recently to be exact the 14th December...Yet ...  I still consider myself as pretty active and fairly knowledgeable. Let me tell you that getting to this age requires street smarts and being able to pick yourself up many times over. \n\nI have given myself my own degrees so on LinkedIn you will notice I have the letters QBE after my name ...(Qualified By Experience ) which I graduated with from the university of hard knocks.) \n\nOkay!
