      "body": "I chose the title of this blog because I heard someone use this phrase and I really liked it…! Now I have to think of something to say that maybe relates to it…..over to God…..\n\nI had an insight some time ago about being in ‘flow’ – by this I mean being in line with how the system, the universe, life works. As far as I can see it only works one way…. From the inside out – we experience everything through the gift of thought. When we understand this, insightfully, a natural by product is that life flows more easily. That is not to say that things don’t happen that I perhaps wouldn’t have chosen, but that when they do I am less likely to ‘fight’ what is and find myself being more accepting.\nFor me, this acceptance could be called being at one with nature or ‘holding hands with God’ (phew, I did it!!).\n\nI can definitely say that during the more recent years of my life I have held hands with God on a regular basis. And it is so freeing – to know that the weight of the world isn’t in my hands!\n\nI have come across a number of people (and I used to be one of them) who, given the chance would ask to be freed from their suffering. Understanding the inside out nature of life doesn’t offer freedom from suffering. The freedom comes from having a different experience of suffering.\n\nI regularly have conversations with my friends about being ‘signed up for the full tour’. It is a phrase that we have shamelessly stolen (and butchered!) from Michael Neill. Here is what I heard when he spoke about this:\n\nIf you were an alien (something I am sure I must be seen as by some people….. ) booking a trip to earth and you are given two options – the Whistle Stop Tour; a few small cities, a brief look at a lake or river, to meet one or two human beings and a brief conversation with a passer-by OR you can take the Full Tour; visit every country; tour every major and minor city; see breath-taking scenery; lakes, mountains, canals, rainforests; immerse yourself in the culture and history of many different nations and tribes; have conversations with human beings from all walks of life; see the good, the bad and the ugly – which one would you choose. Honestly, I would always go for the full tour – I mean, who wouldn’t?\n\nAnd it feels to me as though that is what I have signed up for in life – the whole tour, the ups and down, the highs and lows, the good and the bad. Including the suffering. And in knowing I am fully signed up and being sure that, regardless of what I see and experience on this tour, God has my hand at all times (ooh I did it again!) – I experience suffering entirely differently.\n\nThank God\n\n(Disclaimer: May I remind you not to listen to the words but hear the truth behind the words.       "body": "I really admire a good gate.... the humble gate is a clear sign that you cannot pass through here, you are unwelcome. Or, more likely, you need permission.\n\nThere are so many different styles, sizes, materials and intentions with gates. \n\nBut by far my favourite thing about gates is that, for the most part, they do very little to actually stop anyone getting through - their strength lies, most often, in a psychological barrier.\n\nMost of us, on approach to a gate, will consider whether we should be passing through or not. We will stop and consider our route before going through.\n\nThose on the other side of the gate, those trying to keep you out or steer you in a different direction place much faith in their simple gates to keep you at bay. \n\nBut, lets be honest, if you really want to get through a gate, most of them are pretty accessible.\n\nI am extremely thankful that my security doesn't come from the gate outside my house (or more recently the very small gates outside my yurt - see picture).\n\nFor me, security is built in - we are part of a system that ensures we are secure, even when our thoughts are telling us differently.       "body": "I am sitting on a garden swing contemplating life. \nNothing complicated, I am not a deep philosophiser, just reflecting on recent conversations.\n\nAbout a month ago I started a Mentoring Course and the session we had on Wednesday was really beautiful, simple and powerful. Today, something started bubbling up inside (no, not indigestion!). \nIt is a feeling I am familiar with – it usually means I am about to get my ‘blog’ on!!!\n\nSo, here I am sitting on the garden swing and these words are writing themselves.\nDuring Mentoring we spoke a lot about who we are and how we are no less, or more, spiritual that any other person. Allow me to be specific. We probably all have someone in mind when we say a ‘spiritual person’. \n\nBut I can almost guarantee you aren’t thinking of someone at work, the homeless person you pass on the way to the bus stop or a drunken person you saw in the pub last week. And yet, those individuals are no less spiritual than you or me.\n\nPerhaps you have thought of someone you have heard of who helps and guides people or someone whose wise words you have heard or read. And yet, those individuals are no more spiritual than you or me.\n\nWe are all the creative essence of the entire universe. We are not our limited thoughts. Whatever we are doing and whatever thoughts we are having, we are spiritual beings.\n\nAnother recent conversation was about stepping stones.....\nImagine trying to cross a river via stepping stones….. got it?\nNow imagine each time you move on to a new stepping stone you pick up the old stone and carry it with you in case the stepping stones run out, or the next one isn’t big enough…. Feeling it?\n\nHow long before you get so weighed down with carrying all the stepping stones, just in case, that you collapse in a heap and get dragged downstream?\n\nThose stepping stones are your thoughts, insights, wisdom and moments of pure genius (yes, I have those too!). They are of the moment, and do not need to be carried with you every step of your journey. If you need a stepping stone it will be there to take you forward.\n\nWe have wisdom (stepping stones) in and of the moment. And we can trust that the next ‘stepping stone’ is exactly where it is meant to be, in the exact moment we require it. We do not need to carry them with us, simply step forward in trust and enjoy the walk!\n\nWe are whole, complete, spiritual beings; whatever we are doing, whatever we have done, whatever we would like to be doing. Our wholeness doesn’t go anywhere. Even if we have never known or experienced feeling whole & complete, it still hasn’t gone anywhere! They were the backdrop from which I was trying to live a happy contented life...not easy.  I did it so badly my children and I ended up in a women's refuge. \nThen from rock bottom in 2011 I came across an understanding of the mind \nMy life has changed so much that I have sold my house to fund me being able to share this  understanding with as many people as I can.
