      "body": "**Back In The Day..**\n\nI go back to the 90’s in my mind and I remember working for a Fast Food Joint making $4.25 an hour. For a bright-eyed 14 yr old boy, I’m in the big leagues! I only worked 4 hours a day and I managed to balance football and studies all at the same time. My friends from school also decided to work there as well. It was my high school crew and we had a lot of fun working there. It was almost a joke to us and we played more than worked. I remember one time I filled my lungs up with helium and got on the drive thru speaker and said “How may I help You!”. Fast food jobs existed in the 90’s purely for teenagers to learn how to earn an honest paycheck. In those years the debate about minimum wage and inflation had no place in my mind.\n \n**Where’s The Raise?**\n \nAs you can see on the chart after each recession wages drop significantly.\nGet in my Delorian and travel to the future 2009. Minimum Wage only went up to 3 freakin Dollars! What the fuck! Now it’s 2016 and there is still a debate for raising the minimum wage? face palm.  As the years fly by you can see how there is a new class of people emerging in silence. It is the working poor of america. You have american citizens, mothers with children, working at the same fast food joint I worked at in 1994. These “working poor” can barely afford anything unless they are receiving some kind of government assistance.\n \n**Starbucks Scholars**\n\nEven if you raised the minimum wage to $15 an hour, your still being dupped. In actuality if you were to adjust wages for inflation, minimum wage would be over $20 dollars and hour. Imagine that, corporations are making record profits, especially after the great recession, yet Americans are getting poorer every year as items like food and rent constantly increase. The american worker is 4 times more productive since 1968 when minimum wage was created yet inflation is eating away the value of the dollar but your not being compensated for it. Go to any Starbucks and ask the workers making your latte how many of them have college degrees. I bet you would find a few people who would tell you not only do they have degrees but probably carry post graduate degrees busting their ass to the tune of $8 an hour. Oh don’t forget the student debt.\n \n**Corporate Wage 9k p/hr, I’ll Take That!**\n\nRepublican Speaker John Boehner said, “When you raise the price of employment, guess what happens? You get less of it,” the nerve of this guy. Over half of the members of Congress are millionaires yet they want to tell you how much your worth. James Skinner the former CEO of Mcdonalds made over $9k p/hr hour back in 2012. This shows the disgusting nature of the top 1 percent and there inability to give 2 fucks about their workers or anyone poor for that matter. Inflation increases on average around 2% every year. This is why millionaires and billionaires stash their corporate plunders into Hedge Funds that can get them over the 2% per year to combat inflation. Unfortunately the average american minimum wage worker gets left in the cold.\n \n**Corporate Greed Is Of The DEVIL**\n\nI’m not saying that you should be rich working minimum wage but all I am saying is pay what you owe. If the majority of the country can’t afford to buy things it would only make sense that these corporations would suffer from this corporate greed…and rightfully so.",

I remember a man gave me and my friend $5 dollars in the 80’s, OMG!! I thought we were rich! LOL! We both confidently walked into the penny candy store (under 30 wont understand these) and  looked at the cashier behind the glass shield and said we want everything, especially the Ju Ju fish. In these days, highschool graduates had a few choices, go to college, military or enter the workforce. With either choice you had a pretty decent chance at collecting a pension and taking care of your family. Richard Nixon was the first person to usher in  so called “Free Trade” with China  with the CEO of Pepsi. Nixon brokered the deal to bring American products into China under the guise of “ending communism” by assuming that the private sector would overtake the state sector. What he was really doing was lining his pockets taking bribes from major american corporations. This was the single event that wet the appetites of corporations to take their factories oversees and close factories in the States thus killing middle class jobs. Throughout the years, America loses on average about 14 factories a day. Now people I give you Detroit, Michigan.\n \n \n**Exhibit A….Detroit**\n\nI am from Detroit, born and raised. Most of the men in my family worked in the plants, the big 3.  When I was a kid I was starting to wonder why I seen so many empty factories in my city. In Metro Detroit you will see old rusty shells of factories and the houses around them would be decaying and falling apart. You will see young men and woman just walking around during working hours in the streets. Detroit natives know that when Ford closes a car plant in Michigan and sends it to Mexico not only are the plant workers affected but other supporting plants of Ford Motors are affected. The Great Recession allowed Ford to take taxpayer money in the form of a bail-out and the workers had to take a 50% or more pay cut as a condition of accepting the bail-out money. Recessions are superior opportunities for corporations to slash wages. I have a buddy who is working for Ford Motors through a Temp Agency for $16 dollars an hour WTF! Another middle class wage gone down the drain.\n\n**Escape Plan For Your Family**\n\nI don’t think this middle class destruction will cease anytime soon. Politicians are total whores to the elite and corporations and it doesn’t matter what president we get, the elitist tend to win. You need to seize control of your own finances. I personally believe that entrepreneurship should be the focus of Americans today. A side hustle or work at home jobs to bring in extra cash e.t.c. If you are a stay at home mom or dad there's  plenty of ways you can make legit money on the side.  Don’t feel comfortable with a corporation controlling your ability to eat and live. Spend any free time you have building your own business or side hustle.",

I know I was afraid of failing in all\naspects in my life not just business. Online business ideas, offline business ideas, it didn't matter. I have nothing against people working hard but this was my worst nightmare as an \n\nentrepreneur. I had the ultimate freedom to do what I love such as traveling. \n\nI noticed that there was an abundance of low wage jobs out there in the market and my first job \n\nafter losing my business was a call center. Let's just say call center work took a toll on my \n\nmental health. I hated being in a cubicle all day and I frantically searched for any business \n\nopportunity that would get me out of that box with a phone. Some programs were lackluster and I think some were really good. I \n\nknew for sure that I wanted something on the internet because this would allow me to make money \n\nfrom home or anywhere for that matter.  My hardrive had hundreds of videos from youtube on making \n\nmoney online including numerous courses that I bought with the little money I had earned.  I \n\nrealized was getting nowhere by buying course after course. I begin to make excuses like \" They \n\ndidn't give me all info I need\" or \" I can't afford to market this after a month\". I would buy a \n\ncourse excited as hell and then if I didn't make money after the 1st try I would push it to the \n\nside or cancel my 30 day free trial if it had one. All I knew is that if I continue with this \n\ncycle I will just waste away more years never getting to my goal of being financial free.\n\n### Mindset Shift\nPersonal Development was a gamechanger for me. I paused the business search and started reading \n\nbooks like \"The Power of Consistency by Weldon Long\" and it totally changed my mindset. Instead \n\nof buying the next best idea, I stopped watching Youtube videos all day after work on how to make \n\nmoney in which would link me to a sales video. I begin to focus on one idea and perform \n\nconsistent actions everyday on the idea, hell or hot water. I made myself a master plan to follow \n\neverday after work. Results are not important to me right now. Instead I just focused on doing \n\nconsistent actions everyday and not expecting a dime at first. Mastery was now my new focus and \n\nhonestly, what was I thinking about expecting immediate results anyway! This definitely wasn't \n\nthe case in my last business so why would it be different with any other venture.\n\n\n*So in Essence* I want to leave you with what I learned after many years of wasting money on the \n\nnext best thing.\n\n 1. Get one idea, create an action plan and be consistent with it.\n 2. Don't succumb to the \"*Shiny Object Syndrome*\"\n 3. Read books on Personal development and adopt a business mindset\n 4. Do not expect immediate money. Matter of fact, just focus on the act of consistency.\n 5. Spend 80% of your time doing money producing activities and 20% learning and researching.\n\nI hope this will help out some in the Steemit family and feel free to drop a comment if you can \n\nrelate!",
