      "body": "# ‘스타벅스, 공간을 팝니다’ - 스타벅스코리아 기업 설명서\n안녕하세요. @deskiya 입니다.\n\n![starbucks.png](https://res.cloudinary.com/hpiynhbhq/image/upload/v1521120825/phwvtnhgma7vtk2rp4e9.png)\n\n2018년도 4번째 책 리뷰는 ‘[스타벅스, 공간을 팝니다](http://www.aladin.co.kr/shop/wproduct.aspx?ItemId=110073706)' 입니다. 저는 이제 퇴사한지 만 3년이 다 되어가는 1인 창업자 겸 프리랜서입니다. 어느 것이 더 적합한 호칭일지는 모르겠으나, 혼자 일하는 것만은 분명합니다. 저 같이 혼자 일하는 사람들이 모여드는 곳이 있습니다. 카페, 특히 그 중에서도 스타벅스입니다.\n\n스타벅스에 가는 이유는 많습니다. 어느 지점을 가도 빠른 인터넷, 눈치 보이지 않을만한 넓은 공간, 다른 곳들이 너무 비싸져서 상대적으로 싸게 느껴지는 커피값, 넉넉히 준비된 콘센트, 비슷한 사람들이 많아서 느끼는 안정감 등 이유가 많습니다. 하나 이상한 점이 있습니다. 분명히 커피를 파는 곳인데, 커피 맛이 맛있어서라는 대답은 없습니다. 저는 커피가 아닌 공간이 필요해서 갔기 때문입니다.\n\n#### 책 제목과는 다른 내용, 기승전인사\n그래서 책 제목에 이끌렸습니다. 어떤 전략을 바탕으로 카페를 음식점이 아닌 공간대여업의 개념으로 접근하게 됐는지 궁금했습니다. 느려진 회전속도가 수익에 미치는 영향은 없을지, 이런 전략을 대형 프랜차이즈가 아닌 작은 카페가 취해도 괜찮은지 판단할 수 있을만한 내용을 기대했습니다. 안타깝지만, 그런 내용은 하.나.도 없습니다. \n\n이 책의 저자는 스타벅스에서 인사책임자로서 6년 동안 근무하였습니다. 그래서 모든 것이 기승전인사입니다. 스타벅스에서 일하는 분들이 친절하긴 하지만, 다른 곳도 친절합니다. 그것만이 경쟁력이 아닌데도, 책의 절반 이상이 고객감동의 서비스를 해내는 스타벅스의 파트너들과 이를 가능케한 스타벅스의 체계적인 인사 시스템에 대한 내용입니다. 그래서 이 책은 스타벅스에서 일하고 싶은 분들에게는 정말 강력하게 추천하는 책이지만, 그렇지 않은 분들은 대충 봐도 되는 책입니다. \n\n기대에 부응하지 못하는 내용이라 책에 대한 리뷰를 길게 하긴 어렵고, 스타벅스 코리아의 인상적인 점에 대해 정리합니다. 다만, 책이 거의 홍보자료 같은 성격도 띄고 있어서 어디까지 신뢰할 수 있을지가 미지수네요. \n\n#### 체계적인 인사시스템과 차별없는 채용\n가장 인상적인 점은 출산과 육아로 경력이 단절된 여성을 하루 4시간만 일할 수 있도록 하여, 경력을 이어갈 수 있도록 한 '리턴맘 제도' 입니다. 또한, 장애인을 차별없이 채용하여 장애인 부점장이 탄생한 것도 기억에 남습니다. \n\n그리고 이런 것들을 가능케하는 것은 인사 제도의 시스템화입니다. 단적으로 보여주는 사례는 '스토어 어택'이라는 제도입니다. 쉬는 날 없이 늦게까지 일하는 서비스업 특성상 회식하기가 어렵습니다. 문닫고 11시에 하자니 너무 늦고, 오전 근무 파트너들은 밤에 다시 나와야 할테니 좋은 방법이 아닙니다. 그래서 인근 지역에서 매장 파트너들을 1명씩 1일 파견하여 대신 근무를 해주고, 해당 지점의 파트너들은 다 외부로 놀러 나간다고 합니다. 어떻게 이게 가능할까요. 원래 일하는 지점이 아닌 다른 지점에서, 원래 손발을 맞추던 파트너가 아닌 다른 파트너들과 함께 일하면서 문제가 안 생기려면 모든 것이 다 시스템화 되어 있어야 가능할 것입니다. 이로 인해 직원들은 부품화 될 수 있는 환경임에도 불구하고, 앞서 언급하였듯이 장애인이나 경력단절여성을 적극 채용하는 부분은 놀랍습니다. 책 내용이 사실이길 바랄뿐이에요 😃 \n\n다음 책은 ‘[에어비앤비 스토리](http://www.aladin.co.kr/shop/wproduct.aspx?ItemId=111002615)’입니다.\n어쩌다보니 또 기업에 대한 책입니다. 아직 읽고 있지만 이번에는 제3자가 취재하여 쓴 책이라 보다 객관적인 시각으로 쓰였네요. \n관심있는 분은 팔로우와 보팅 부탁드립니다! 감사합니다.\n\n- - - -\n\n### 리뷰 목록\n[책리뷰 1. ‘아마존, 세상의 모든 것을 팝니다’를 읽고 정리한 4가지 키워드](https://steemit.com/kr-book/@deskiya/4)\n[책리뷰 2. ‘도쿄 비즈니스 산책’ - 다채로운 모습의 일본, 그리고 서울의 미래](https://steemit.com/booksteem/@deskiya/5twpqg)\n[책리뷰 3. ‘골든 슬럼버’ - J.F.케네디 사건이 미래의 일본에서 발생했다면](https://steemit.com/booksteem/@deskiya/03-j-f)",
