      "body": "<P>Why did the donkey die?</P>\n\nOnce my family and I were traveling in a cart through the countryside, when we saw a donkey standing near the road. He's probably sick.\nWhen we approached him, we saw something that filled us with pity. Someone had tied the mouth of that animal!\nThe donkey's efforts to open the mouth proved futile. The rope cut like a knife and the blood painted his nose.\n\nI braked the wagon, I went down and walked to the unfortunate. I wanted to help him. I wanted to deliver it. He longed to remove the rope. I felt an inner satisfaction at the possibility of treating him with mercy. And with remarkable intent I approached him. But suddenly the animal started to run. A cloud of dust arose where it ran. He didn't let me even touch him, much less remove the rope.\n\nSadly, I went back to the car. A week later I went the same way. There I found the corpse of the donkey: the rope, tinged with blood, had his mouth shut yet.\n\nThat experience made me think of myself: Why did the donkey die? I almost immediately thought of the answer: The donkey died for someone to tied his mouth. Although it was true the answer, I was not satisfied with it. Because despite that he had a chance to get away with such bad luck. I could and wanted to deliver it.\n\nAgain I asked myself the question: Why did the donkey die? The second answer gave me more convincing.\n\nThe donkey died for not interpreting my intention well. The thought that I was going to do him some harm, and unfortunately his mistake cost him his life.\n\nI repeat that I could help him and I wanted to deliver him. But the donkey did not believe it so: he fled, refused my offer, and died. If the donkey had understood the great desire of mine, he might have accepted my offer to deliver it. I said in my mind: poor donkey, poor donkey! Too bad I didn't understand my intention!\n\nIn reflecting a little more I came to the conclusion that the behavior of that animal is understood: it was donkey!\nHow could he interpret well being a mere donkey? You have to forgive him for his mistake and his unbelief.\n\nVery often I have the opportunity to remember that donkey. The same mistake and unbelief is seen everywhere, especially in the spiritual. God's desire for us is very easy to comprehend: in the first place, his word clearly tells us that  \"He does not want any perish, but that all may proceed to repentance \" (2 Peter 3:9) and that  \"He wants all men to be saved and come to the CONOCIM Slow of Truth  \"(1 Timothy 2:4).\n\nIt is also understood that God wants to save us by the provision he made for sinners. There are almost no people in our circle of friends who have not heard that Christ died for us on the cross. Perhaps they do not know the texts of the word of God such as 1 Corinthians 15:3:  \"Christ died for our sins according to Scripture,\" or that in Christ \"we have redemption for his blood, the forgiveness of sins for the riches of His Grace \" (Ephesians 1:7).\n\nBut they do know that it is. Christ invites sinners:  \"Come to me all who are worked and loaded, and I will make you rest \" (Matthew 11:28). And he claims that  \"To me that comes, I do not throw him out\" (John 6:37).\n\nThousands of sinners have believed in these promises of Scripture and have experienced that God's intent toward them is good. have been delivered from the bonds of sin.\n\nYou can walk in the way of God. They can eat the green pastures where the good shepherd leads them. They have found abundant life, eternal life.\n\nHearing the words of Christ at the time, some did not believe. To such he said to them:  \"And ye will not come unto me that ye may have life\" (John 5:40). Surely they misinterpreted the Savior's intent. Although they were not donkeys, they behaved like the donkey of this story. Today there are many who make such a mistake.\n\nListen then, the invitation of God where he offers us the blessing:  \"I have put you before life and death, blessing and curse: Choose, therefore, life, to live you and your offspring, loving Jehovah your God, attending to his voice , and following to him; For He is life for you  \"(Deuterenomio 30:19-20).",

Era tan flaco que nos parecía sólo cuero y huesos.\n\n¡Pobre burro - dijimos a una voz. Seguramente está enfermo.\nCuando nos acercamos a él, vimos algo que nos llenó de lástima. ¡Alguien había amarrado la boca de aquel animal!.\nLos esfuerzos del burro para abrir la boca resultaron en vano. La soga cortaba como cuchillo y la sangre le pintaba la nariz.\n\nFrené el carro, me bajé y caminé hacia el infortunado. Yo quería ayudarlo. Quería librarlo. Anhelaba quitarle la soga. Yo sentía una satisfacción interna ante la posibilidad de tratarlo con misericordia. Y con notable intención me acercaba a él. Pero de repente el animal empezó a correr. Se levantó una nube de polvo por donde corría. No me dejó ni siquiera tocarlo, mucho menos quitarle la soga.\n\nTristemente regresé al carro. Una semana después pasé por el mismo camino. Allí encontré el cadáver del burro: La soga, teñido de sangre, le tenía la boca cerrada todavía.\n\nAquella experiencia me hizo reflexionar a mí mismo: ¿POR QUE MURIO EL BURRO?. Casi enseguida pensé en la respuesta: El burro murió por que alguien le amarró la boca. Aunque era cierta la respuesta, no quedé satisfecho con ella. Porque a pesar de eso él tuvo una  oportunidad de escaparse de tan mala suerte. Yo podía y quería librar­lo.\n\nOtra vez me hice la pregunta: ¿POR QUE MURIÓ EL BURRO? La segunda respuesta me la dí con más convencimiento.\n\nEl burro murió por no interpretar bien la intención mía. El pensamiento que yo le iba a hacer algún daño, y desgraciadamente su equivocación le costó la vida.\n\nRepito que yo podía ayudarlo y quería librarlo. Más el burro no lo creyó así: Huyó, rechazó la oferta mía y murió. Si el burro hubiera comprendido el gran deseo mío, quizás hubiera aceptado mi oferta de librarlo. Yo decía en mi mente: ¡Pobre burro, pobre burro! ¡Lástima que no comprendiera la intención mía!\n\nAl reflexionar un poquito más llegué a la conclusión de que el comportamiento de aquel animal sí se comprende: ¡Era burro!\n¿Cómo podía él interpretar bien siendo un mero burro?. Hay que perdonarle su equivo­cación y su incredulidad.\n\n\nMuy a menudo tengo la oportunidad de recordar lo de aquel burro. Igual equivoca­ción e incredulidad se ve por todos lados, muy especialmente en lo espiritual. El deseo de Dios hacia nosotros es muy fácil de comprender: En primer lugar, su palabra nos dice claramente que \"El no quiere que ninguno perezca, sino que todos procedan al arrepentimiento\" (2 Pedro 3:9) y que \" El quiere que todos los hombres sean salvos y vengan al conocimiento de la verdad\" (1 Timoteo 2:4).\n\nTambién se comprende que Dios quiere salvarnos por la provisión que hizo para los pecadores. Casi no hay personas en nuestro círculo de amistades que no haya oído que Cristo murió por nosotros en la Cruz. Quizás no saben los textos de la Palabra de Dios tales como 1 Corintios 15:3: \"Cristo murió por nuestros pecados conforme a las Escrituras\", o que en Cristo \"tenemos redención por su sangre, el perdón de pecados por las riquezas de su gracia\" (Efesios 1:7).\n\nPero sí saben que así es. Cristo invita a los pecadores: \"venid a mí todos los que estáis trabajados y cargados, y yo os haré descansar\" (Mateo 11:28). Y asegura que \"al que a mí viene, no le echo fuera\" (Juan 6:37).\n\nMiles de pecadores han creído en estas promesas de la Sagradas Escrituras y han experimentado que la intención de Dios hacia ellos es buena. Han sido librado de los lazos del pecado.\n\nYa pueden andar en el camino de Dios. Pueden comer los pastos verdes a donde los conduce el Buen Pastor. Han encontrado vida abundante, vida eterna.\n\nAl oír las palabras de Cristo en aquel entonces, algunos no creyeron. A los tales El les dijo: \"Y no queréis venir a mí para que tengáis vida\" (Juan 5:40). Seguramente ellos malinterpretaron la intención del Salvador. Aunque ellos no eran burros, se comportaron como el burro de este relato. Hoy en día hay muchos que cometen semejantes equivocación.\n\nEscucha entonces, la invitación de Dios donde el nos ofrece la bendición: \"os he puesto delante de la vida y la muerte, la bendición y la maldición: escoge, pues, la vida, para que vivas tú y tu descendencia, amando a Jehová tu Dios, atendiendo a su voz, y siguiéndole a él; por que él es vida para ti\" (Deuterenomio 30:19-20).",
