      "body": ".:: ENCOURAGING THE ENCOURAGER ::.\n\nI remember brother J today. Everyone knew him in the church we attended many years ago. He was an encourager.\n\nIf he knew of someone with a need, he wouldn't rest until he met it or until he got someone who could.\n\nHe wasn't a pastor, but most people thought he was. He visited. He counseled. He prayed for people. \n\nNo one could miss church two weeks in a row without having brother J visit him.\n\nHe was one smiling, energetic brother who was always smiling and available. He didn't seem to have a care in the world. \n\nAs busy as he always was in helping people, I never heard him complain about anyone. I had seen him respond to the most abrasive insults with good natured jokes and sweet laughter.\n\nI returned from a trip and noticed that brother J wasn't in church. I asked some of his 'friends' why, and they couldn't give me a definite answer.\n\nOne said maybe he had travelled to see his family. Another said maybe he was busy doing something important. All I got was maybes, and more maybes from his 'besties.'\n\nI asked some guys who had been helped by brother J, and they couldn't tell me anything useful. Even those in leadership couldn't tell me anything important.\n\nDuring the week, I decided to look for brother J. It took me two days to find his house. I was terribly shocked. This gracious brother was living in the most inhospitable condition.\n\nA boy showed me his room, the room he used to live in.\n\nBrother J had died four months earlier.\n\nNone of his brethren was aware. Not even those he helped.\n\nThis gracious brother had fallen on hard times in the past eighteen months and had lost so much. This made him to move to this terrible neighborhood of gangs, living in unsanitary conditions.\n\nHe had been asthmatic, but his trials and living conditions seemed to aggravate his ill health.\n\nBrother J was sick, and was in his room for a week. He died in that room. \n\nThe boy that took me to his room told me brother J sent him to one of the brothers in his church group at the height of his sicknes. That one said he would tell the others. My investigation revealed that he told a couple of people and they all agreed to visit him sometime. They never did.\n\nHis neighbors took his body to the morgue and did what they could to find his extended family members.\n\nBrother J had been quietly forgotten by the people he loved. \n\nI cried.\n\nBrethren, don't ever think that the people around you who seem to be very strong don't need encouragement.\n\nThe brethren who neglected brother J were probably good people who took his strength for granted. You know that smooth presumption that makes you think, \"I know it's too late and daddy should be home by now, but I am sure he can take care of himself. Let's go to sleep.\"\n\nThey believed brother J was usually fine, and would be fine this time, too.\n\nEncouragers need encouragement. To encourage you, they sometimes have to ignore their own troubles, which may be much bigger than yours.\n\nYou may think they are very rich, but they may have issues in their lives that money cannot handle.\n\nYou may think they are always happy, but they are only smiling for you. They may be trying to lift you up while they are down.\n\nThose who are strong for others sometimes need someone to be strong for them.\n\nThe people you go to when you feel like giving up on life... when you are neck deep in financial or marital challenges, who leave everything to spend hours with you on the phone, pray with you, visit you and nurse your battered confidence back to health...\n\nYour mother, father, brother or pastor may be the strongest person you have ever known. What they have shielded you from hit them hard, and left some marks on them.\n\nYou don't know about these because they chose not to tell you.\n\nSometimes the little errors they commit are due to the pressures on them. You sometimes judge them too harshly because you haven't been where they have been.\n\nI call on you today to encourage your encouragers.\n\nCall them and thank them. Tell them how much you appreciate them. Tell them you have not taken them for granted, and then pray for them.\n\nSome of us are alive today because of those who left their challenges to attend to our troubles. \n\nDo not abandon your brother J. He is probably battling a giant right now that a word from you can help him defeat. Letting him know you care for him may be all he or she needs to hear. \n\nDon't be offended if he seems to have withdrawn from you. He is probably hiding his challenges from you, not wanting to burden you with his troubles.\n\nEncourage your encourager.\n\nCopied.",

      "body": "...Exotic Cheeses!\n \nInline image 1\n \nAnd, just like all the rest of us, before succeeding, the exotic cheesemaker had to fail.\n \nComplete story follows - but first, think about failing.\n \nHow many times have you fallen down?\n \nActually, it doesn't matter.\n \nWhat counts is - How Many Times Did You Get Up?\n \n \nAs long as you got up the same number of times as you fell, you are OK.\n \nBUT, once you no longer get up, your body is on the way to the cemetery. (It may be a slow or fast trip, but the end is sure.)\n \nThere has never been a person who did not fall at all. We start falling as babies trying to walk. \n \nThe difference between a baby and an adult is simple. After a tumble, the baby laughs and then tries again.\n \nWhen we get knocked down as adults, we moan and grown about our troubles. \"Poor little me.\" Etc.\n \nTrue whether the fall was physical, emotional, financial, or any other.\n \nBoth the small and great fall. Every person in the Bible failed somewhere along the way.\n \nEvery President of the United States has had his failures - from George Washington to Donald Trump.\n \nEvery king, soldier, politician, doctor, lawyer, merchant, wife, husband. We have all failed - most of us many times. \n \nBut Angel King did NOT let a little thing like failure discourage her!\n \nInline image 2\nJim and Angel King\n \nAngel said, \"My husband Jim milked cows for 30 years. When we got married, we had a LOT of milk at our fingertips.\n \n\"I love food and I love interesting flavors. We had an old antique cheese press in our family. I came across a book on home cheesemaking, so I decided to try my hand at making fresh mozzarella.\n \n\"It was terrible! I'm not sure what went wrong, but it was a big failure.\"\n \nAngel comes from a family of entrepreneurs - and rather stubborn ones - so she was not about to let her first attempt define her.\n \n\"Failure is nothing to be ashamed of,\" she said. \"Give me a barrier, and I'll find a way through it.\"\n \nSo after awhile, she tried again. \n \nAnd again.\n \nGradually she got better - a lot better. \n \n\"And I started really enjoying it,\" she said.\n \nEventually she and her husband determined that they had an opportunity \"to create something really special,\" she said.\n \nIn 2007 they decided to launch a commercial, artisan cheesemaking business.\n \nThus the co-founder and co-owner (along with her husband, Jim) of Blue Jacket Dairy in Bellefontaine, Ohio, had a rocky start as an artisan cheesemaker.\n \nJust like the rest of us.\n \nBut she did NOT quit. (Not quitting is the number one key to success in my opinion.) \n \nShe started thinking and studying. (Two other important ingredients to success.)\n \nAngel attended a class on cheesemaking in Vermont and started going to conferences held by the American Cheese Society. She also started reading voraciously about the history and production of cheese. \n \nThe couple started building their production facility next door to their farmhouse in the fall of 2007, and opened Blue Jacket Dairy in 2008.\n \nUpside\n \nAfter they got underway growth was steady and swift. (But remember, the growth came AFTER the failures.)\n \nIn 2010, the Kings sold their dairy herd to focus on their cheese venture. They now have several dairy farmers from throughout the region who supply the milk for Blue Jacket's cheeses.\n \n\"They're excited to see something so unique created out of the milk they produce,\" Angel said.\n \nBy literally marrying their backgrounds, Jim's love of farming with Angel's culinary skills, the Kings are continuing to build on the foundation laid for them by past generations. And by extending their family farm operation to include cheese production in 2008, they took a major step toward sustaining Ohio's agricultural economy and promoting farming as a way of life for future generations. \n \nBlue Jacket Dairy, named after nearby Blue Jacket Creek. west of Bellefontaine, Ohio. Bellefontaine is in ski-country near the site of Campbell Hill the highest elevation in Ohio. In Logan County, the air is fresh and clean, the people are friendly and it is a great place to farm and to raise a family. \n \nTrivia for history fans like me - Did you know that Blue Jacket was the war chief of the Shawnee Indians? On behalf of the Indians, Blue Jacket signed the Treaty of Greenville which ended the Indian Wars in Ohio and opened up the Northwest Territory for settlement. Ohio was the first state carved out of the Northwest Territory. Became a state in 1803.\n \nJim King, a fourth generation dairy farmer, was raised on a dairy farm in rural Logan County.  \n \nTwenty-nine years of continuous dairy production on a family farm demonstrates a long-standing commitment to producing a quality product for consumers as well as a solid base of understanding of the dairy industry.  \n \nJim has the expertise that comes from successfully managing a herd of Holstein cows and farming 192 acres of corn, 153 acres soybean, and 105 acres of hay for over a quarter of a century.   \n \nBy extending the family farm operation to include cheese production, the Kings took a major step toward sustaining Ohio's agricultural economy and promoting farming as a way of life for future generations.  \n \nJim can now be found hard at work in the \"make room\" - the place where Grade A milk is transformed into Blue Jacket's great-tasting high-quality cheese.
