He even defeated Arkle in that year's Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury.  \r\n\r\nThe next Cheltenham Gold Cup was a brilliant opportunity for Arkle to take his revenge and truely announce himself to the world. Since Arkle was representing Ireland and Mill House was representing England, so this was also a sort of tribal contest. \r\n\r\nBoth horses were excellent on the turf that day, but it soon became clear to everyone that Arkle was a class above everyone else. Second-placed Sham looked in no way to pose Secretariat any threat who won easily. \r\n\r\n<b>2- The Three Fillies</b>\r\n\r\nThe <a href=\"https://www.equestrianstylist.com/equestrian-events/11-fun-facts-about-the-kentucky-derby/\"><b>Kentucky Derby</b></a><b> </b>has been dominated by colts who tend to be stronger and faster than their female counterparts. However, there are some fillies who have bucked the trend and have tried to end male dominancy in the competition. These fillies became hugely popular who provided a great spectacle through their brilliance on the turf. \r\n\r\nThe first of these fillies was Regret who pulled off this rare feat in 1915 when the world was mired in the First World War.
