| body | Guest Post by Dani a.k.a. Wifey. We're happy to report we have now successfully completed the process to become temporary residents in Mexico! We have these cute Residente Temporal cards to prove it. Some of y'all have expressed interest in learning about the costs associated with moving to Mexico, so I've created this brief overview. First, I should make an important note that the biggest "expense" associated with moving has been the sudden and unexpected farewell to our homestead, our beloved flock of hens, and our friends in New Orleans. I could calculate exactly how much of an income loss we took, based on photography gigs lost due to the mandates, and AirBnB bookings we had to cancel due to the house sale. But please understand it's absolutely impossible to put a true cost on losing one's home, pets, and livelihood. Not to mention the stress and grieving process. That being said, here are my calculations and brief explanation of the process: IMMIGRATION DOCUMENTS: $275 ($135 each) - US Passport Renewal for 10 years** $40 ($20 each) - International Drivers Licenses for 1 year $90 ($45 each) - Temporary Residency Visas from New Orleans' Mexico Consulate for 1 year** $60 ($30 each) - FMM Temporary Visa from INM at the border for 30 days** $405 ($200 each) - Residente Temporal ID Cards from the INM in Puerto Vallarta for 1 year** $380 ($190 each) - Immigration Lawyer's Fee*** $100 - Various Passport Photos, Copies of Documents, Prints, and Parking at Gov't Offices NECESSARY PREPARATIONS: $0 - Opening two new Bank Accounts, which don't have international fees**** $100 - "Digital Nomad Mailbox" street address / mail forwarding for 1 year**** <a href="www.iPostal1.com">www.iPostal1.com</a> $65 - Verification process (Online Notary) and 10 pre-purchased Mail Scans**** $1 - USPS Change of Address to new forwarding address**** $4 ($2 each) - Opt-Out from "Junk Mail" lists for 10 years **** <a href="www.DMAChoice.org">www.DMAChoice.org</a> $0 - Opt-Out from "Pre-Screened Loan or Credit Card" lists forever **** <a href="www.optoutprescreen.com">www.optoutprescreen.com</a> MEDICAL/HEALTH PREPARATIONS: $225 - Final appointment with my Lyme Doctor for a "clean bill of health" + prescriptions $315 ($150 each + postage) - Hair Mineral Analysis per our twice annual schedule $225 ($75 x3) - Covid Antibody Tests PREPARING OUR CAR FOR THE TRIP: $100 - Oil Change $225 - Tune-Up and 1 New Tire (thanks to them running over a nail during test drive) IMPORTING OUR CAR: $440 - Mexico Car Insurance for 1 year (Note: We received $175 refund for canceling US policy) $380 - T.I.P. Temporary Import Permit (Note: $320 of this is a "deposit" returned upon exit) THE DRIVE DOWN: $125 - Dash Cam $95 - GPS $175 - Gas $125 - Tolls $215 - Lodging (New Orleans; Houston free, [we stayed with friends]; Santa Rosa $50; Monterrey $37; San Luis Potosí $31; Mexico City $60 [We stayed 6 nights, but is was $60/night]; Tonalá, outside Guadalajara $36) Let's look at necessary vs. optional expenses: ** The bare minimum needed to spend (per person) on the immigration process is $430. *** Adding an Immigration Laywer makes the total (per person) $620. **** Adding our recommendations for mail forwarding adds an additional (per family) $190. <b>Notes about Importing a Vehicle:</b> Bringing our car added an expense of $1,920 for pre-trip car preparations, int'l drivers licenses, dash cam, GPS, gas, tolls, lodging, car insurance, and TIP. $320 of that is the TIP deposit, which will be refunded upon exit of the country. Not all of the expenses listed are required. However, the biggest benefit of bringing our car is: this allowed us to bring a decent amount of belongings, and saved us from the expense and stress of getting important items here another way. If we hadn't driven, we would've incurred the cost of plane tickets, extra bag fees, and purchasing suitcases. And obviously, having a car has its own added benefits for exploring a vast new country, and seeing a variety of landscapes, cities, and villages. <b>Notes about Upcoming Expenses:</b> $300 - Approximate cost to move my photography business to Mexico (accountant, lawyer) $3,000-4,500 - Approximate cost to have our pallet of belongings shipped to Mexico or Japan <b>Notes about Driving:</b> It was highly recommended that drivers take a few things into consideration when planning their route: 1) it's generally more safe to drive inland rather than coastal roads, 2) only drive as far as you can during daylight hours, and 3) take toll roads, when given the option. Due to the prevalence of police officers soliciting bribes for real or imaginary driving offenses, it's also recommended to have a highly visible dash cam, with an attention-getting cord hanging in the front window, which might deter them from corrupt behavior. We've already been pulled over two times; the first time we had the dash cam, and the officer waved us on; the second time we did not have the dash cam, and the officer solicited a bribe in lieu of a ticket. So, do with that information what you will! <b>Notes about Lodging:</b> We chose our AirBnBs based on 1) proximity to places we wanted to see, 2) proximity to our driving route, and 3) parking on premises. We didn't want to fully unpack and re-pack our car at every stop during such a stressful trip. Fortunately, many homes have small gated courtyards, which are used as an extension of their living space and/or parking. So we only booked places which included something better than street parking, which only made it necessary to unpack the very important items, just for my own anxiety levels. It's important to note that, while we thought our Toyota Camry was a "small car" it was often just a few inches away from not fitting in the garages! Don't even ask about the parking garage in Mexico City, haha. This country is designed for really small vehicles, and if we stay, I hope to eventually trade in our car for a "Vocho" VW Bug (amazingly, produced in the classic style until 2002!) and a scooter. I was pleasantly surprised that my motorcycle endorsement was transferred over with my international drivers license. <b>Notes about Cell Phones:</b> Our cell phones cost $60 ($30 each) per month. MetroPCS has the option of adding "Unlimited Mexico & Canada" for $10 ($5 each) per month. This has worked perfectly, and gives us unlimited calling and texting to and from US or Mexican phone numbers, as well as unlimited data. It's a steal. It's possible that MetroPCS will only allow us to use this plan for six months, at which time, we'll have to figure out another option. Most people seem to use WhatsApp, or switch SIM cards to a Mexican card, or purchase a phone that allows you to use two SIM cards. <b>Let's look at our timeline of events:</b> We started this process suddenly in September 2021, as the threat of a national vaccine mandate ending Evan's career (after the New Orleans vaccine mandate had already effectively put an end to my career) was the final straw pushing us out of America. Prior to this, we had discussed the possibility of retiring in Japan, or raising children in Japan, but hadn't even considered moving to Mexico. Over the course of 2020 and 2021, Mexico started looking better and better because the country was 1) almost entirely mandate-free, and 2) accessible by car. Evan gave notice to his employer, with his last day being one month prior to our planned move date. I continued to pare down my list of photography gigs in Orleans Parish (which would require running the risk of not having a negative PCR test on time, and therefore a real chance of not being "allowed" to perform my contractual obligations). Any that I could, I gave away to other photographers. The remaining gigs caused an immeasurable amount of stress. We immediately started the process of listing our beloved homestead for sale. I lost track of the high percentage of showings that turned into offers, but it was something like 75%, and we received a half dozen offers over the course of the listing. Our second almost-buyers were absolutely perfect for our homestead, and we were really sad that they were unable to complete the loan process. Fortunately, we were able to get another buyer very quickly, and even though the close date was extended, it only ended up postponing our move date by three weeks. During this time, we completed the arduous process of separating all of our belongings into three categories: 1) stuff to sell, 2) a small amount of stuff we can live without for 1-2 years, which went into long-term storage, and will eventually be shipped to us at our final destination in Mexico or Japan, and 3) the absolute bare minimum of stuff we need to take with us in our car. The first step of our immigration process was to apply for one year Temporary Residency visas at our local Mexico Consulate in New Orleans. We printed and completed the necessary paperwork from their website, brought our financial documents, passports, and additional passport-sized photos. After a few hours at the consulate office, we walked out with our visas in hand. The visas were good for one border crossing, which must happen within six months of receiving the visa. We crossed the border early December 2021. Looking back, I can say it was a pretty comical experience. It was not what we expected... We didn't talk to a single person. Nobody stopped us to say "hola", nobody looked at our car or belongings, nobody even checked if we had passports or visas!!! We just... drove across a practically unmonitored border. In fact, if we hadn't known from weeks of meticulous research that we were required to seek out an INM office to receive additional visa paperwork and a Banjercito to purchase a Temporary Import Permit for our car, we would've simply driven right past! The man selling peanuts on the side of the road saw us panicking (ok, saw *me* panicking) and told us where to go! We spent nearly two hours at this location, while the INM man and the Banjercito man argued over the correct way to process our FMM and TIP. We left feeling confused, only to be greeted immediately upon entering Mexico by some unbridled horses just chilling by the road. We had planned to vacation in Mexico City for one week while we took care of the next steps of the immigration process with INM, as this process must be completed within 30 days. Upon arriving in Mexico City, we learned that all INM offices have a two week closure from December 18 to January 3, effectively reducing our 30 days to 10 business days... We also learned that the Mexico City INM did not have any available appointments until February... well after our 30 days. So after a few days of frantically trying to figure out how to complete this process without getting deported, while simultaneously finalizing our house sale, we decided to contact an immigration lawyer we found on a Facebook group. She was able to "pull some strings" and got us an appointment in Puerto Vallarta for December 17, the day before the INM offices close for the holiday. Her nominal fee was well worth the stress relief. Then, all we had to do was to wait patiently to pick up our ID cards three weeks later, then have our car's TIP extended by the Aduana. That's it! Now we can contact an accountant and start the supposedly simple process of moving my photography business to Mexico. Looking forward, I hope to take this opportunity to shed some of my rigidity, and learn how to be flexible. It seems like we would be well-suited for house-sitting, which would give someone the peace of mind that their home, garden, and pets will be well cared for, in exchange for accommodations! We have our first house-sit tentatively scheduled for April. We hope to see as many different parts of the country as we can, through house-sitting and hopping around to furnished short-term rentals. Having some garden responsibilities would hopefully lessen the feeling of loss, and allow us to get our hands back in the dirt. We plan to live as frugally as we can, which is not proving very difficult. After we have a few months' of expenditure data, I plan to write a detailed post about the cost of living here. My estimate is that we'll be pretty far below $1000 per month for all living expenses. Which is good, because we don't have jobs! Ha. And of course we'll continue trying to start our family, praying for our first Baby Benton, and many more Baby Bentons to follow. And in the meantime, we'll decide if we want to raise them on a new homestead here in Mexico or in Japan. As always, please let us know if there are any specific areas you'd like more information about. I'm considering making upcoming blogs and videos on the topics of: the New Orleans mandates, our homestead, and how we lived in our home for five years while breaking even on home income vs. home expenditures. Thanks for reading and watching the accompanying video. If you're also considering becoming an expat, in Mexico or elsewhere, in order to escape the mandates or for any number of other reasons, I hope this helped. "body": "Guest Post by Dani a.k.a. Wifey.\n\nWe're happy to report we have now successfully completed the process to become temporary residents in Mexico! We have these cute Residente Temporal cards to prove it. \n\n\n\nSome of y'all have expressed interest in learning about the costs associated with moving to Mexico, so I've created this brief overview.\n\nFirst, I should make an important note that the biggest \"expense\" associated with moving has been the sudden and unexpected farewell to our homestead, our beloved flock of hens, and our friends in New Orleans. I could calculate exactly how much of an income loss we took, based on photography gigs lost due to the mandates, and AirBnB bookings we had to cancel due to the house sale. But please understand it's absolutely impossible to put a true cost on losing one's home, pets, and livelihood. Not to mention the stress and grieving process.\n\n\n\n\nThat being said, here are my calculations and brief explanation of the process:\n\nIMMIGRATION DOCUMENTS:\n$275 ($135 each) - US Passport Renewal for 10 years**\n$40 ($20 each) - International Drivers Licenses for 1 year\n$90 ($45 each) - Temporary Residency Visas from New Orleans' Mexico Consulate for 1 year**\n$60 ($30 each) - FMM Temporary Visa from INM at the border for 30 days**\n$405 ($200 each) - Residente Temporal ID Cards from the INM in Puerto Vallarta for 1 year**\n$380 ($190 each) - Immigration Lawyer's Fee***\n$100 - Various Passport Photos, Copies of Documents, Prints, and Parking at Gov't Offices\n\nNECESSARY PREPARATIONS:\n$0 - Opening two new Bank Accounts, which don't have international fees****\n$100 - \"Digital Nomad Mailbox\" street address / mail forwarding for 1 year**** <a href=\"www.iPostal1.com\">www.iPostal1.com</a>\n$65 - Verification process (Online Notary) and 10 pre-purchased Mail Scans****\n$1 - USPS Change of Address to new forwarding address****\n$4 ($2 each) - Opt-Out from \"Junk Mail\" lists for 10 years **** <a href=\"www.DMAChoice.org\">www.DMAChoice.org</a>\n$0 - Opt-Out from \"Pre-Screened Loan or Credit Card\" lists forever **** <a href=\"www.optoutprescreen.com\">www.optoutprescreen.com</a>\n\nMEDICAL/HEALTH PREPARATIONS:\n$225 - Final appointment with my Lyme Doctor for a \"clean bill of health\" + prescriptions\n$315 ($150 each + postage) - Hair Mineral Analysis per our twice annual schedule\n$225 ($75 x3) - Covid Antibody Tests\n\nPREPARING OUR CAR FOR THE TRIP:\n$100 - Oil Change\n$225 - Tune-Up and 1 New Tire (thanks to them running over a nail during test drive)\n\nIMPORTING OUR CAR:\n$440 - Mexico Car Insurance for 1 year (Note: We received $175 refund for canceling US policy)\n$380 - T.I.P. Temporary Import Permit (Note: $320 of this is a \"deposit\" returned upon exit)\n\nTHE DRIVE DOWN:\n$125 - Dash Cam\n$95 - GPS\n$175 - Gas\n$125 - Tolls\n$215 - Lodging (New Orleans; Houston free, [we stayed with friends]; Santa Rosa $50; Monterrey $37; San Luis Potosí $31; Mexico City $60 [We stayed 6 nights, but is was $60/night]; Tonalá, outside Guadalajara $36)\n\nLet's look at necessary vs. optional expenses:\n\n** The bare minimum needed to spend (per person) on the immigration process is $430.\n\n*** Adding an Immigration Laywer makes the total (per person) $620.\n\n**** Adding our recommendations for mail forwarding adds an additional (per family) $190.\n\n<b>Notes about Importing a Vehicle:</b>\nBringing our car added an expense of $1,920 for pre-trip car preparations, int'l drivers licenses, dash cam, GPS, gas, tolls, lodging, car insurance, and TIP. And obviously, having a car has its own added benefits for exploring a vast new country, and seeing a variety of landscapes, cities, and villages.\n\n<b>Notes about Upcoming Expenses:</b>\n$300 - Approximate cost to move my photography business to Mexico (accountant, lawyer)\n$3,000-4,500 - Approximate cost to have our pallet of belongings shipped to Mexico or Japan\n\n<b>Notes about Driving:</b>\nIt was highly recommended that drivers take a few things into consideration when planning their route: 1) it's generally more safe to drive inland rather than coastal roads, 2) only drive as far as you can during daylight hours, and 3) take toll roads, when given the option. So, do with that information what you will!\n\n<b>Notes about Lodging:</b>\nWe chose our AirBnBs based on 1) proximity to places we wanted to see, 2) proximity to our driving route, and 3) parking on premises. It's important to note that, while we thought our Toyota Camry was a \"small car\" it was often just a few inches away from not fitting in the garages! Don't even ask about the parking garage in Mexico City, haha. This country is designed for really small vehicles, and if we stay, I hope to eventually trade in our car for a \"Vocho\" VW Bug (amazingly, produced in the classic style until 2002!) and a scooter. I was pleasantly surprised that my motorcycle endorsement was transferred over with my international drivers license.\n\n<b>Notes about Cell Phones:</b>\nOur cell phones cost $60 ($30 each) per month. MetroPCS has the option of adding \"Unlimited Mexico & Canada\" for $10 ($5 each) per month. \n\n<b>Let's look at our timeline of events:</b>\nWe started this process suddenly in September 2021, as the threat of a national vaccine mandate ending Evan's career (after the New Orleans vaccine mandate had already effectively put an end to my career) was the final straw pushing us out of America. evdoggformayorpublished a new post: china-russia-america-and-the-next-world-war
2021/11/22 16:32:00
| author | evdoggformayor |
| body | This post contains my musings regarding the apparent increasing belligerence among our erstwhile world powers: the United States of America, the People's Republic of China, and the Russian Federation. I would appreciate any feedback from people with firsthand knowledge of the situation in, especially, Belarus and Poland. Clearly, the United States is attempting to provoke a war against Russia in the Ukraine and Baltic states. The public perception is that China and Russia are allies in some dark axis, but numerous facts seem to belie this. I would defer to Dr. Joseph Farrell's numerous blog entries on what he (and the MSM) have taken to calling ["The Quad"](https://gizadeathstar.com/?s=the+quad): an emerging anti-China bloc consisting of the US, Japan, India, and Russia. So, Russia is pretending to be friends with China, while the US is pretending to be enemies with China. If you live in the US and you still have your wits about you, the US side of this should be clear as day from Chinese infiltration of state and federal governments. ([e.g.](https://californiaglobe.com/fr/us-pension-funds-lost-400-billion-on-china-investments-in-july/)) I'll refer you to the links above to familiarize yourself with the Russian side. Now, many conservatives in the US have been hoping for President Putin to to fulfill some sort of Qanon prophecy, swooping in to save the American public from their pedophile government. Accordingly, every indication to the contrary is met by much wailing and gnashing of teeth from that quarter. I suggest that a more nuanced approach is warranted, particularly when dealing with a country with as much experience in espionage as Russia. On to COVID-19, then, which has emerged as the fog of war to end all fogs of war. Without a doubt, it is the so-called vaccines rather than the still-hypothetical illness which pose the greatest threat to human life. The "pandemic" apparently started in China, and has had its most deadly effect in the US (only after the vaccines were introduced there). To tie COVID-19 to our discussion of these three countries, I will end by describing some of Russia's responses to this dubious disease. We must note that Russia released the first COVID vaccine, "Sputnik V", outpacing "Operation Warp Speed" by a full five months. Of course, the name is a reference to the first object to orbit the Earth, the Sputnik satellite launched by the USSR in 1960. Since then, Russia has authorized an additional three vaccines, all of which are home-grown, and none of which contain the mRNA technology being used by Moderna and Pfizer. Just to be clear: Russia has not authorized any COVID vaccines developed by a foreign company. It's not known, of course, what the effectiveness of these Russian vaccines are, or the rate of side effects, but it is known that their acceptance by the Russian populace is being reported as abysmally low. For my part, having read through documents like [The SPARS Pandemic](https://youtu.be/84aqzF5ypQk), I find it telling that we haven't been flooded with news articles claiming that Sputnik is woefully ineffective compared to the superior American/British offerings. It's interesting to read through the [list of countries](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_COVID-19_vaccine_authorizations#Sputnik_V) which have approved Sputnik V, which includes all the countries sharing a border with China, but not China herself, notably (for our purposes) India, as well as most of Latin America, including Venezuela, but not Cuba. It's also interesting to cross-reference that list with [this one](https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2021/11/17/which-countries-have-resumed-travel-with-russia-a75561), the countries with which Russia has dropped COVID-related travel restrictions. Again, we see that China didn't make the cut, although most of her immediate neighbors did. It's puzzling to see Canada and Australia both on the list of restricted countries. One more thing: Russia is the only country to have responded to the scamdemic by building an [entirely new network of laboratories](https://www.rt.com/russia/533861-golikova-sanitary-shield-project/) "designed to handle deadly pathogens and develop vaccines against them". Keep that in mind when you read that "cases are soaring" in Moscow or whatever it may be: despite the media rhetoric, Russia remains the only country which is responding to the current "crisis" by investing in *actual labs*. Also, consider headlines like [this](https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/07/asia/china-mongolia-bubonic-plague-death-intl-hnk-scli-scn/index.html), and consider that Russia has an *actual land border* with China. So to conclude, I must ask the question: Is it possible for a country to "fake" their response to a fake pandemic? What would that look like? Is it possible that the reason the Russians were able to develop a vaccine so fast is that it too is fake? That would explain its [reported safety](https://medicalxpress.com/news/2021-07-evidence-russia-sputnik-covid-vaccine.html). One thing I've thought, in speculating that we really *are* on the verge of a hot war, is that it would be absolutely suicidal for countries to be sabotaging their economies at this time. Therefore, I've been looking at the responses of different countries: whether they approve ivermectin and things like that, how stringent their lockdown measures are, etc., and wondering whether we might be seeing the emergence of new alliances in the buildup to a third world war. In that light, with Russia's Sputnik-V, Japan ending its state of emergency, and India persisting in the use of "alternative" treatments throughout the pandemic, it appears one member of the Quad stands alone... Thanks for reading. |

"body": "This post contains my musings regarding the apparent increasing belligerence among our erstwhile world powers: the United States of America, the People's Republic of China, and the Russian Federation. I would appreciate any feedback from people with firsthand knowledge of the situation in, especially, Belarus and Poland.\n\nClearly, the United States is attempting to provoke a war against Russia in the Ukraine and Baltic states. The public perception is that China and Russia are allies in some dark axis, but numerous facts seem to belie this. I would defer to Dr. Joseph Farrell's numerous blog entries on what he (and the MSM) have taken to calling [\"The Quad\"](https://gizadeathstar.com/?s=the+quad): an emerging anti-China bloc consisting of the US, Japan, India, and Russia.\n\nSo, Russia is pretending to be friends with China, while the US is pretending to be enemies with China. If you live in the US and you still have your wits about you, the US side of this should be clear as day from Chinese infiltration of state and federal governments. ([e.g.](https://californiaglobe.com/fr/us-pension-funds-lost-400-billion-on-china-investments-in-july/)) I'll refer you to the links above to familiarize yourself with the Russian side.\n\nNow, many conservatives in the US have been hoping for President Putin to to fulfill some sort of Qanon prophecy, swooping in to save the American public from their pedophile government. Accordingly, every indication to the contrary is met by much wailing and gnashing of teeth from that quarter. I suggest that a more nuanced approach is warranted, particularly when dealing with a country with as much experience in espionage as Russia.\n\nOn to COVID-19, then, which has emerged as the fog of war to end all fogs of war. Without a doubt, it is the so-called vaccines rather than the still-hypothetical illness which pose the greatest threat to human life. The \"pandemic\" apparently started in China, and has had its most deadly effect in the US (only after the vaccines were introduced there). To tie COVID-19 to our discussion of these three countries, I will end by describing some of Russia's responses to this dubious disease.\n\nWe must note that Russia released the first COVID vaccine, \"Sputnik V\", outpacing \"Operation Warp Speed\" by a full five months. For my part, having read through documents like [The SPARS Pandemic](https://youtu.be/84aqzF5ypQk), I find it telling that we haven't been flooded with news articles claiming that Sputnik is woefully ineffective compared to the superior American/British offerings.\n\nIt's interesting to read through the [list of countries](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_COVID-19_vaccine_authorizations#Sputnik_V) which have approved Sputnik V, which includes all the countries sharing a border with China, but not China herself, notably (for our purposes) India, as well as most of Latin America, including Venezuela, but not Cuba. It's puzzling to see Canada and Australia both on the list of restricted countries.\n\nOne more thing: Russia is the only country to have responded to the scamdemic by building an [entirely new network of laboratories](https://www.rt.com/russia/533861-golikova-sanitary-shield-project/) \"designed to handle deadly pathogens and develop vaccines against them\". Keep that in mind when you read that \"cases are soaring\" in Moscow or whatever it may be: despite the media rhetoric, Russia remains the only country which is responding to the current \"crisis\" by investing in *actual labs*. Also, consider headlines like [this](https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/07/asia/china-mongolia-bubonic-plague-death-intl-hnk-scli-scn/index.html), and consider that Russia has an *actual land border* with China.\n\nSo to conclude, I must ask the question: Is it possible for a country to \"fake\" their response to a fake pandemic? What would that look like? Is it possible that the reason the Russians were able to develop a vaccine so fast is that it too is fake? That would explain its [reported safety](https://medicalxpress.com/news/2021-07-evidence-russia-sputnik-covid-vaccine.html). One thing I've thought, in speculating that we really *are* on the verge of a hot war, is that it would be absolutely suicidal for countries to be sabotaging their economies at this time. Therefore, I've been looking at the responses of different countries: whether they approve ivermectin and things like that, how stringent their lockdown measures are, etc., and wondering whether we might be seeing the emergence of new alliances in the buildup to a third world war.\n\nIn that light, with Russia's Sputnik-V, Japan ending its state of emergency, and India persisting in the use of \"alternative\" treatments throughout the pandemic, it appears one member of the Quad stands alone...\n\nThanks for reading.",

| body | 3-28-2020 COVID-19: The Esoteric Origins of Viruses This video is going to deal with esoteric subject matter and may not be compatible with all world views. I will state for the record that I am a Christian, although I haven't always been. In fact, it was my research into the the world of the occult that eventually led me to accept the truth of the Gospels. I won't belabor the point here, but I became a Christian when I realized that the world was controlled by a group of satanic pedophiles. When I realized the extent to which media and academia regularly mocked Christianity, even mocking very specific elements of Christianity such as the virgin birth and crucifixion, I started to think there might be something there. Now, I am not a theologian, and I probably never will be, so don't ask me to defend this claim, but I do believe that one of the areas in which Christian cosmology is superior is in its conception of good and evil. The idea of good and evil that is put forth in our modern pop culture is a dialectical one, meaning that good and evil oppose one another and balance each other out. Batman has his Joker, Harry Potter has his Lord Voldemort, and there is a Force consisting of a Light and a Dark side. Evil, so it goes, only becomes truly bad when it is out of balance, at which point heroes arise to save the day and restore the status quo. Now, the main problem with this dialectical concept of good and evil is that it keeps us trapped. The distinction between the two is basically arbitrary or subjective, and it becomes a matter of “picking a team” rather than deciding how we ought to act. It's good for movies and TV shows because the audience knows that at the end the story the cosmic balance will be restored, setting the stage for a sequel or another episode. However, it's basically inconsequential, meaning that the consequences of the choices a person makes rarely if ever carry over into the next story arc. It doesn't allow growth because there's nowhere to grow from, and nowhere to grow to. So, basically, the dialectical concept of good vs. evil is perfect for keeping us in the state of perpetual childhood. It keeps us glued to our seats, waiting for the next installment. It's basically addictive, because it doesn't provide us with a really fulfilling explanation of how the world works and how our actions influence it. Christianity, on the other hand, has a very concise, and I would argue practical, concept of good and evil. God, the creator, is good, while rejection or rebellion against God is evil. The problem is that we humans are incapable of truly telling good from evil due to our limited understanding, which is why God incarnated as a man in the person of Jesus Christ in order to teach us. So, by grace, through faith, we can follow the will of God. And even though the true reward for our goodness is not to be found in this limited life on Earth, because God is good, we can see that when we emulate Him our lives on Earth and the lives of the people around us get better. This gets us off the couch and out of the dialectical loop: learning, growing, building, and raising our children to hopefully be better off than we were. It actually allows progress, which is somewhat ironic when you contrast it with the world view of the so-called “progressives”. (Now, as an aside here, let's look at the original sin. In Genesis chapter three we read: 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ” 4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” The important thing to notice here is that this is a trick. The serpent, who is Satan, is tempting Eve with the knowledge of good and evil, knowing that she won't actually attain it. But there is the idea in esoteric circles that humanity, having eaten the forbidden fruit, now has this knowledge. We were innocent children in Paradise, and now we are responsible adults in The World. This gives rise to the idea that when we sin, we learn something that we wouldn't have learned except by sinning, and so we have the kind of “back and forth, back and forth” between good and evil that some people and some religions believe lead to a state called “Enlightenment”. The proof that this is a lie comes from the fact that we die. Satan said, “You will not certainly die,” and yet we do die. There was no death prior to the original sin in Christian cosmology; remember, Adam and Eve were not prevented from eating of the tree of life. So, again it was all a trick. We really gain nothing by sinning according to Christianity. On the other hand, though, we have Genesis chapter three verse twenty-two, where we read: 22 And the LORD God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” These same esoteric circles will point to this passage and say, “Aha! God is afraid of us now, because Satan liberated us and taught us this knowledge that will enable us to be like Him. This is where the symbolism of three twenty-two comes from, by the way. And the original hebrew does say, “man has become as one of us”, but look at the context. Man reacts to this so- called knowledge with shame! He covers up his nakedness! Is this the behavior of a would-be god? Did God create the universe in shame? Of course not. So, evil is not this noble thing. It's actually shameful, something to hide.) So in Christianity, then, evil is not necessary. We don't have to “sow our wild oats” or “get it out of our system”. God did not create us to experience what He had created and report back to him. He created us as an expression of His goodness, because that's what goodness is, is creation. There are actually infinite ways of being good, whereas the number of ways there are of being evil are limited, which is very interesting to think about. OK, with that little definition out of the way, I'm going to move on to an epiphany I had the other day. So, science tells us that viruses are not technically alive, because they can't reproduce on their own. Viruses, in other words are something on the edge of life. And then, having dropped this major bombshell, scientists go on as though that were a satisfactory definition of viruses. But really, what does that mean? What is life? Where did it come from? What is the edge of it? Are viruses zombies? Then really, what is a zombie? So, these are big, big questions that obviously science can't answer, and yet we've collectively given it the authority to make these life-altering proclamations about how to behave and when to shut down schools and so forth. I mentioned in my previous video that there is some controversy over AIDS and HIV. If you look into it, you'll find that the controversy is about whether HIV and actually all other viruses even exist, and people who make the claim that they don't are typically ridiculed and called “conspiracy theorists”. The thing is, though, that viruses don't just exist at the fringes of what we think life is, they're also at the fringes of what science can tell us about the world. They're at the limit of what our instruments can detect, even the electron microscope images we have of them can't tell us much about what they are or how they work. The way that scientists actually study viruses is by breaking them apart and examining the way that their constituent chemicals interact with other chemicals. So, basically, when we talk about viruses, we're talking about the frontiers of scientific research and theory, and we are all well within our rights to speculate about their existence. OK, so what do we know about viruses? Viruses were discovered in 1892 when Russian biologist Dmitri Ivanovsky took the sap out of a diseased tobacco plant, passed it through a filter to remove everything larger than a single-celled organism, and injected it into a healthy tobacco plant. The healthy plant got sick as well, and so he knew that there was something infectious in the sap. Originally, scientists assumed that the liquid itself was infectious, but in 1946 American Wendell Stanley isolated viral RNA from infectious tobacco sap, demonstrating that small particles were involved in the transmission. Along the way, it was repeatedly demonstrated that viruses could not be grown in sterile media, as was the case for most bacteria. In other words, they required a living host. Now, for the most part, the genetic material that makes up a virus comes in the form of RNA. It's true in most cases that an RNA molecule comprises a single strand of information, while a DNA molecule comprises a double strand of information, but of course it's a lot more complicated than that. For the sake of my argument, I'm going to briefly describe the process of “protein biosynthesis”, which is the way that so-called “higher forms of life” use DNA to generate the proteins they use to build cells and basically do stuff in life. I think most people actually fairly familiar with this process, but here it goes: firstly, that double helix of DNA we've all seen is unzipped into two single strands of RNA. Next, the RNA is cut up into functional units known as genes, and these genes, in a form known as “messenger RNA”, is sent out of the nucleus into the main part of the cell. Once there, parts of the cell known as “ribosomes” assemble amino acids according to the directions specified by the messenger RNA into all the different proteins that make up the cell. So looking at the role of RNA in that process, we can see that viruses are essentially an incomplete version of an organism, a lifeform. They can't reproduce because they don't have all the parts: they can't make anything. This raises the question: where do viruses stand in comparison to things that are fully alive? Are they something which is in the process of becoming alive, or are they the remnants of something which was once alive? This really has vast implications for our understanding of the universe, because if viruses are on the way to becoming alive, that supports the random chance theory of mainstream cosmology. There was some big bang event, which led to the formation of matter from energy, and now we can see the emergence of life from matter. The name for that concept is “emergence”, or “emergence theory”: something coming out of nothing. This is actually the foundation of every bizarre theory in every field from physics to sociology: if you arrange a system according to a particular set of rules, a whole new system with a new set of rules will arise from it. So, if you put a bunch of neurons together, eventually you'll get this new thing called consciousness. If you put a bunch of people together, eventually you'll get this new thing called religion. If you put a bunch of metal and rubber together, eventually you'll get this new thing called a bicycle. It's the thousand monkeys typing at a thousand typewriters argument. Emergence is where we get the slogan, “Order out of Chaos”, which is the strategy of destabilizing a population through war, or drugs, or maybe a disease (hint, hint), and then managing the response to that destabilization in order to bring about a specific outcome. The problem with emergence theory is that, first of all, it's never been demonstrated, and second, it begs the question of where everything came from to begin with, which is a question known as “prime cause”, or the “unmoved mover”. Now, if, on the other hand, viruses are remnants of cells, or if they're part of some reproductive process kind of like how certain plants will alternate between haploid and diploid generations, then that tells us that life as we know it was actually originally more complex than it is now, rather than less. And that leads us to the idea of a transcendent, personal creator, which again has vast implications for our understanding of the universe. So the idea of a God is actually very cool and useful, because it gets us out of that trap of randomness. It gives us the idea that there is a purpose to the universe, and therefore there can be a purpose to our lives and all the suffering we might have to go through, even (or especially) though we might not know what that purpose is. A final distinction that we have to make between good and evil is that evil cannot create. Evil only twists and corrupts. The best example I can think of of this is in “The Lord of the Rings” when they show the orcs being pulled out of mud pits. The voice-over explains that orcs are made from elves and humans in some kind of alchemical process. However, the whole idea of evil is that it wants to be good. It wants to create. The whole reason that Satan rebelled against God and took a third of the angels with him is that he thought he could do a better job of creation than God could. So what we're doing, as Christians, is we're trying to preserve the good that God has given us. We're trying to be good stewards of the land. In the eastern concept of Chi, it's actually the same. In Japanese, if you want to ask, “How are you doing?”, you say, “O-genki desu-ka?”, which basically translates as “How is your original chi?” Genki means “original chi”, and if you have your original chi, you are healthy. So eastern medicine is basically all about preserving and restoring the patient's original chi. Now, chi also has an element of causality to it. For example, I have some rocks and flower pots on my front porch. Sometimes some leaves will get blown into the spaces between those rocks and flower pots and I'll have to clean them out. Scientific materialism tells us that this is simply caused by the interaction between various particles and so forth: the difference between hot and cold air creates wind which blows the leaves up onto my front porch, where the rocks and flower pots trap them. The eastern metaphysical concept though would tell us that the specific configuration of rocks and flower pots is stagnating the chi in that area, which is then attracting the leaves. Incidentally, the Chinese study of geomancy or “Feng Shui” tells us that a little bit of stagnation around the front door of your house is good, because it slows the chi down and keeps it from rushing into your house. Now, I have gotten very far afield, and I want to return to the question of where viruses come from. Another great thing about Christianity is that it acknowledges that there are all kinds of spirits in the world. The great distinction that Christianity makes, as opposed to say Taoism, is that most of these spirits are evil. The Bible actually gives us a way to tell whether a spirit is good or evil in First John chapter 4 where it says, “Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not from God.” That is to say, in Christian cosmology, spirits exist, and they can be either good or evil. So in terms of viruses, we have very small particles which are having some effect on life. The question is, where do they come from? Now, I won't be the first person to propose that some viruses have a a metaphysical origin in evil spirits, also known as demons, but I had an epiphany into the nature of that origin. Think about a haunted house, like really, a house with some evil presence in it. I thank God that I have no firsthand experience with that sort of thing, but the eyewitness accounts speak of things moving on their own. Foul smells, the air suddenly gets very cold, but especially doors opening and closing, candles being blown out, sheets being pulled off, etc. The idea in Christianity is that these hauntings are not the ghosts of someone who died there, but a demon which has basically possessed an object or place. According to Christianity these demons actually have very little power in the material world, so they're limited to moving small objects. Now, you see where I'm going here: viruses are very small. Nano-scale, in fact, which is a hint as to where that technology may lead. So, if there are such things as demons, and they are capable of moving a ouija planchette or a pendulum, then naturally they will find it much easier to stitch together a Frankenstein's Monster of a virus out of cellular debris. Again, this would not be an act of creation, but really of zombification of genetic material. Now, you take that concept and look at things like witches or the very “old school” of germ warfare where they were taking yucky stuff and hurling it over castle walls or putting it in wells. They didn't know how it worked, they only knew that it worked. As if by magic. In fact, what picture does the word 'witch' conjure up other than an old hag bent over her cauldron, stirring up a “witches brew”, which is basically composed of all the yucky stuff she can find thrown into a pot. This is known as “sympathetic magic”. Now, with that concept of the witches brew in mind, I'm not saying you should look at how vaccines are made, but you should look at how vaccines are made. So in closing, when we're talking about viruses, we have to understand that we're talking about the very limits of science. If someone says something outlandish therefore, we really can't be so quick to dismiss it. The science is not settled, as it were. Religion, on the other hand, and metaphysics, has some very interesting things to say on the subject. And if there really are bioweapons floating around, as I believe there are, we really need to look at the belief systems of the people who would actually develop them. We have to remember, as I kept reminding myself when I first started studying the occult, that it doesn't really matter whether any of this stuff is real. What matters is that there are people with a lot of power who apparently believe that it's real. This has been Evan Benton for Ev Dogg for Mayor. In fact, it was my research into the the world of the occult that eventually led me to accept the truth of the Gospels. I won't belabor the point here, but I became a Christian when I realized that the world was controlled by a group of satanic pedophiles. When I realized the extent to which media and academia regularly mocked Christianity, even mocking very specific elements of Christianity such as the virgin birth and crucifixion, I started to think there might be something there.\n\nNow, I am not a theologian, and I probably never will be, so don't ask me to defend this claim, but I do believe that one of the areas in which Christian cosmology is superior is in its conception of good and evil. It doesn't allow growth because there's nowhere to grow from, and nowhere to grow to.\n\nSo, basically, the dialectical concept of good vs. evil is perfect for keeping us in the state of perpetual childhood. It keeps us glued to our seats, waiting for the next installment. It's basically addictive, because it doesn't provide us with a really fulfilling explanation of how the world works and how our actions influence it.\n\nChristianity, on the other hand, has a very concise, and I would argue practical, concept of good and evil. It actually allows progress, which is somewhat ironic when you contrast it with the world view of the so-called “progressives”.\n\n(Now, as an aside here, let's look at the original sin. In Genesis chapter three we read:\n\n1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”\n\t2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,\n\t3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”\n\t4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.\n\t5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”\n\nThe important thing to notice here is that this is a trick. This gives rise to the idea that when we sin, we learn something that we wouldn't have \tlearned except by sinning, and so we have the kind of “back and forth, back and forth” between \tgood and evil that some people and some religions believe lead to a state called “Enlightenment”.\n\nThe proof that this is a lie comes from the fact that we die. Satan said, “You will not \tcertainly die,” and yet we do die. There was no death prior to the original sin in Christian \tcosmology; remember, Adam and Eve were not prevented from eating of the tree of life. So, again it was all a trick. We really gain nothing by sinning according to Christianity.\n\t\t\nOn the other hand, though, we have Genesis chapter three verse twenty-two, where we read:\n\n22 And the LORD God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”\n\t\nThese same esoteric circles will point to this passage and say, “Aha! God is afraid of us \tnow, because Satan liberated us and taught us this knowledge that will enable us to be like Him. \tThis is where the symbolism of three twenty-two comes from, by the way. And the original hebrew does say, “man has become as one of us”, but look at the context. Man reacts to this so-\tcalled knowledge with shame! He covers up his nakedness! Is this the behavior of a would-be god? Did God create the universe in shame? Of course not. So, evil is not this noble thing. It's actually shameful, something to hide.)\n\nSo in Christianity, then, evil is not necessary. We don't have to “sow our wild oats” or “get it out of our system”. God did not create us to experience what He had created and report back to him. He created us as an expression of His goodness, because that's what goodness is, is creation. There are actually infinite ways of being good, whereas the number of ways there are of being evil are limited, which is very interesting to think about.\n\nOK, with that little definition out of the way, I'm going to move on to an epiphany I had the other day. So, these are big, big questions that obviously science can't answer, and yet we've collectively given it the authority to make these life-altering proclamations about how to behave and when to shut down schools and so forth.\n\nI mentioned in my previous video that there is some controversy over AIDS and HIV. The way that scientists actually study viruses is by breaking them apart and examining the way that their constituent chemicals interact with other chemicals.\n\nSo, basically, when we talk about viruses, we're talking about the frontiers of scientific research and theory, and we are all well within our rights to speculate about their existence.\n\nOK, so what do we know about viruses? In other words, they required a living host.\n\nNow, for the most part, the genetic material that makes up a virus comes in the form of RNA. It's true in most cases that an RNA molecule comprises a single strand of information, while a DNA molecule comprises a double strand of information, but of course it's a lot more complicated than that.\n\nFor the sake of my argument, I'm going to briefly describe the process of “protein biosynthesis”, which is the way that so-called “higher forms of life” use DNA to generate the proteins they use to build cells and basically do stuff in life. Once there, parts of the cell known as “ribosomes” assemble amino acids according to the directions specified by the messenger RNA into all the different proteins that make up the cell.\n\nSo looking at the role of RNA in that process, we can see that viruses are essentially an incomplete version of an organism, a lifeform. They can't reproduce because they don't have all the parts: they can't make anything. This raises the question: where do viruses stand in comparison to things that are fully alive? Are they something which is in the process of becoming alive, or are they the remnants of something which was once alive?\n\nThis really has vast implications for our understanding of the universe, because if viruses are on the way to becoming alive, that supports the random chance theory of mainstream cosmology. It's the thousand monkeys typing at a thousand typewriters argument.\n\nEmergence is where we get the slogan, “Order out of Chaos”, which is the strategy of destabilizing a population through war, or drugs, or maybe a disease (hint, hint), and then managing the response to that destabilization in order to bring about a specific outcome. The problem with emergence theory is that, first of all, it's never been demonstrated, and second, it begs the question of where everything came from to begin with, which is a question known as “prime cause”, or the “unmoved mover”.\n\nNow, if, on the other hand, viruses are remnants of cells, or if they're part of some reproductive process kind of like how certain plants will alternate between haploid and diploid generations, then that tells us that life as we know it was actually originally more complex than it is now, rather than less. And that leads us to the idea of a transcendent, personal creator, which again has vast implications for our understanding of the universe. So the idea of a God is actually very cool and useful, because it gets us out of that trap of randomness. It gives us the idea that there is a purpose to the universe, and therefore there can be a purpose to our lives and all the suffering we might have to go through, even (or especially) though we might not know what that purpose is.\n\nA final distinction that we have to make between good and evil is that evil cannot create. So eastern medicine is basically all about preserving and restoring the patient's original chi.\n\nNow, chi also has an element of causality to it. Incidentally, the Chinese study of geomancy or “Feng Shui” tells us that a little bit of stagnation around the front door of your house is good, because it slows the chi down and keeps it from rushing into your house.\n\nNow, I have gotten very far afield, and I want to return to the question of where viruses come from. Another great thing about Christianity is that it acknowledges that there are all kinds of spirits in the world. The great distinction that Christianity makes, as opposed to say Taoism, is that most of these spirits are evil. The Bible actually gives us a way to tell whether a spirit is good or evil in First John chapter 4 where it says, “Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not from God.” That is to say, in Christian cosmology, spirits exist, and they can be either good or evil.\n\t\nSo in terms of viruses, we have very small particles which are having some effect on life. Nano-scale, in fact, which is a hint as to where that technology may lead.\n\t\nSo, if there are such things as demons, and they are capable of moving a ouija planchette or a pendulum, then naturally they will find it much easier to stitch together a Frankenstein's Monster of a virus out of cellular debris. Again, this would not be an act of creation, but really of zombification of genetic material.\n\tNow, you take that concept and look at things like witches or the very “old school” of germ warfare where they were taking yucky stuff and hurling it over castle walls or putting it in wells. Now, with that concept of the witches brew in mind, I'm not saying you should look at how vaccines are made, but you should look at how vaccines are made.\n\nSo in closing, when we're talking about viruses, we have to understand that we're talking about the very limits of science. What matters is that there are people with a lot of power who apparently believe that it's real.\n\nThis has been Evan Benton for Ev Dogg for Mayor. | body | I often cite Wikipedia in casual conversation. Occasionally, someone will scoff at me for doing so, as though the mere act invalidates my entire position. This is frustrating for two reasons: First, whether I am right or wrong is less important than that I show the other person where I got my information. If I can show a person where I got my information, he can falsify or verify my claims based on knowledge we both possess. This is akin to the pre-Common Core insistence on "Showing your work" in mathematics. A person may accidentally use an incorrect method to arrive at the correct answer, but that is unlikely to work the next time. Being able to think clearly is much more important than being right. Second, when I cite the aforementioned "free encyclopedia", I am citing it for a very specific reason. I expect any information on Wikipedia is going to be completely sterilized, sanitized, pasteurized, controlled, and "fact-checked". I expect my conversation partner to know this. Wikipedia is entirely a "mainstream" or "acceptable" source with all the dubious credibility of a Snopes.com. I frankly find it hard to believe that an adult could fail to recognize that, but of course I don't expect the reader to take my word for it. Go to Wikipedia and read the entries on the [JFK assassination](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassination_of_John_F._Kennedy), [9/11](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11_attacks), [chemtrails](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemtrail_conspiracy_theory), or [vaccines](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaccination). Hell, look which website comes up at the top of the page if you type "[mmr autism](https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=mmr+autism)" into YouTube's search bar! As an additional exercise, I recommend clicking the "Talk" button at the top left corner of any of those articles. Few readers seem to realize it exists, but that is where Wikipedia editors discuss and propose changes to the articles. It can be very enlightening to see which bits of information the editors deem acceptable. (Oh, and lest the reader get the mistaken notion that Wikipedia was ever about uncensored information, here's a quote from the article on its founder, [Jimmy Wales](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Wales): "Wales has said that he was initially so worried about the concept of open editing, where anyone can edit the encyclopedia, that he would awaken during the night and monitor what was being added.") To reiterate, Wikipedia, while far from trustworthy, is *vastly farther* from being a purveyor of the kinds of "conspiracy theories" I find myself discussing with "normies". The point in citing it is to demonstrate something along the lines of, *"This is what we're allowed to know about"*, or, *"This is what can no longer be denied"*. Oh, and the actual article I was citing in my conversation was one stating that until 1977, [the United States' nuclear missile launch codes were all set at 00000000](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permissive_Action_Link). I see it's now been edited to reflect that the USAF issued a statement denying those claims in 2014. The original claim was made by [Bruce Blair](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_G._Blair), a "nuclear security expert" and former "Minuteman ICBM launch control officer" in 2004. In 2005 Steven Bellovin [confirmed](https://web.stanford.edu/class/ee380/Abstracts/060315-slides-bellovin.pdf) (slide 33) this claim, but he is not mentioned in the Wikipedia entry. |

"body": "I often cite Wikipedia in casual conversation. Occasionally, someone will scoff at me for doing so, as though the mere act invalidates my entire position. This is frustrating for two reasons:\n\nFirst, whether I am right or wrong is less important than that I show the other person where I got my information. If I can show a person where I got my information, he can falsify or verify my claims based on knowledge we both possess. This is akin to the pre-Common Core insistence on \"Showing your work\" in mathematics. A person may accidentally use an incorrect method to arrive at the correct answer, but that is unlikely to work the next time. Being able to think clearly is much more important than being right.\n\nSecond, when I cite the aforementioned \"free encyclopedia\", I am citing it for a very specific reason. I expect any information on Wikipedia is going to be completely sterilized, sanitized, pasteurized, controlled, and \"fact-checked\". I expect my conversation partner to know this. Wikipedia is entirely a \"mainstream\" or \"acceptable\" source with all the dubious credibility of a Snopes.com. Hell, look which website comes up at the top of the page if you type \"[mmr autism](https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=mmr+autism)\" into YouTube's search bar!\n\nAs an additional exercise, I recommend clicking the \"Talk\" button at the top left corner of any of those articles. Few readers seem to realize it exists, but that is where Wikipedia editors discuss and propose changes to the articles. It can be very enlightening to see which bits of information the editors deem acceptable. (Oh, and lest the reader get the mistaken notion that Wikipedia was ever about uncensored information, here's a quote from the article on its founder, [Jimmy Wales](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Wales): \"Wales has said that he was initially so worried about the concept of open editing, where anyone can edit the encyclopedia, that he would awaken during the night and monitor what was being added.\")\n\nTo reiterate, Wikipedia, while far from trustworthy, is *vastly farther* from being a purveyor of the kinds of \"conspiracy theories\" I find myself discussing with \"normies\". | body | Well, i wrote a couple posts about that. Basically, the price of gold will go to zero. But, that happens after the switch to cryptos and after everyone realizes the ones with gold are the bad guys. So, basically, it ends up with, we don' like your kind round here, yer money's no good. But, before that, we will see people in america panning / mining for gold so that they can buy groceries, like people today do in Zimbabwe. Gold will most likely shoot way up in price. ---- Bix Weir was into understanding the gold manipulation WAY before he got with the three amigos and cryptos. He has years of website about gold and silver. And stories and rumors of stories about where hidden caches are. |

| body | Hello Steemians, An [article](https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/990585/Dmitrii-Donskoi-Russian-warship-South-Korea-gold) spotted on Drudge Report today seems to confirm one of @benjaminfulford's claims, which I am attempting to verify. I'm not going to link to any of Mr. Fulford's articles directly, but I will summarize his claim here: 1. In the aftermath of the Bretton Woods agreement, the elite families of Asia agreed to institute the US dollar as the global reserve currency in exchange for Great Britain and the United States using their technology to modernize the rest of the world. 2. These same families agreed to take their massive gold reserves off the market in order to allow the United States to purchase dollar-backed debt with their own reserves. 3. The elite families hid their gold reserves in places such as sunken ships and in caves for safe keeping. 4. Now that the elites of Great Britain and the US have (clearly) reneged on their promise, the Asian elites are beginning to recover their gold in order to use it to finance a new global monetary system. I hope that's clear. My understanding of finance is a little limited. Now, this story states that*"Some* historical accounts have revealed the Dmitrii Donskoi carried the treasury of the entire flotilla which would have included the port expenses and also the salaries of sailors and officers." (emphasis added) It's unclear where they came up with the $130 billion (£100 billion) number, but I decided to do the math to see whether that would be a feasible amount of gold for one 19th-Century battleship to be carrying. At the [current value](https://www.jmbullion.com/charts/gold-price/#) of $1229.63 per ounce, that works out to: 105722859.722 Troy ounces, *or* 8810238.31 Troy pounds, *or* 3288.35 tons Please double-check my math. (I'm not sure how commenters came to their figure of 2276 tons) The Wikipedia article on the [ship](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_cruiser_Dmitrii_Donskoi) lists its displacement at deep load as 5683 tons. So, it seems extremely unlikely to me that it would have been carrying such a load during a battle. Can someone with a better knowledge of maritime cargo loads comment on this? It seems to me like there is no way the ship could have been carrying this much gold, which supports Fulford's claim (I guess I should use the word 'report') that the gold was actually deposited on a later date at the location of a known shipwreck. I also note that the salvage team have yet to actually *find* any gold, and estimates of the total amount are based solely on the "Some historical accounts" mentioned above. Without examining those accounts it's impossible to determine whether or not the amount cited in the article is a reasonable estimate, but I note that it's a 'nice round number'. So my guess would be that these elite families have already started reclaiming their gold hoards, and this story is just meant to ease people into the idea that there is a lot more gold in the world than we've been aware of for the past half-century. Could also be a coded signal to certain readers. Well, that's it for ol' Ev Dogg today.
