      "body": "![children-gc9f14d652_1920.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNwNPFroeT5QcVfBUEP7CuCgTWUSSw2aTzttLPvGqWHE2/children-gc9f14d652_1920.jpg)\n\n\nছোটবেলায় আমার প্রধান একটি শখ ছিল মাছ ধরা । গ্রামের ছেলে আমি, তাই স্বভাবতই মাছ-টাছ শিকারের দিকে যে ঝোঁক থাকবে সেটা তো বলাই বাহুল্য । তবে, আমি খ্যাপলা জাল দিয়ে মাছ ধরতে শিখিনি কোনোদিন । আমি মাছ ধরতাম বড়শি দিয়ে । বিকেলবেলা স্কুল থেকে ফিরেই আগে আমার মাছ ধরার ছিপের পরিচর্যা করতাম । বেশ কয়েকটা ছিপ ছিল আমার ছোটবেলায় । মৎস্য শিকারের উপযুক্ত সরঞ্জাম । একদম ছোট ছিপ আর বড়শি দিয়ে ধরতুম পুঁটি । পুকুরের ঘাটের কাছে যেখানে থালা ঘটি বাসন মাজা হতো ঐখানে জলে কিছুটা ভাত ছড়ানোই থাকতো প্রতিদিন । তাই প্রায় প্রতিদিনই ঘাটের কাছে পুঁটি মাছের আনাগোনা থাকতো ।\n\nএকদম খুদে সাইজের বড়শি ছিল পুঁটি মাছ শিকারের জন্য । মায়ের কাছ থেকে কিছু বাসি ভাত চেয়ে নিয়ে সেগুলো একটি একটি করে বড়শিতে গেঁথে টোপ হিসেবে ব্যবহার করতাম পুঁটি মাছ ধরতে । কলমীর একটা ডগা ভেঙে ফাৎনা বানাতুম । যেই কোনো পুঁটি বড়শি গিলতো সেই ফাৎনাটা তুরুক তুরুক করে কয়েকবার জলে নড়ে উঠেই ডুব মারতো । আর সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সাঁ করে ছিপ ধরে এক টান মারতাম আর মুহূর্তের মধ্যে পুঁটির গলায় বড়শি বিঁধে যেতো । এরপরে আর কি ? জল থেকে তুলে এক হাত দিয়ে পুঁটি মাছটা ধরে অন্য হাত দিয়ে গলায় বেঁধা বড়শিটা খুলে নিয়ে মাছটা একটা বালতিতে রেখে দিতাম । এই ভাবেই চলতো আমার পুঁটি শিকার ।\n\nপুঁটি মাছের বড়শির চাইতে আকারে আরেকটু বড় বড়শির ছিপ ছিল খলসে, ট্যাংরা, তেলাপিয়া, ল্যাটা, সরপুঁটি, জাপানি পুঁটি, বান, নাইলোটিকা এসব মাছ শিকারের জন্য । টোপ হিসেবে কখনো ময়দার টুকরো, কখনো কেঁচো থাকতো । এই ছিপের সুতো বেশ মজবুত হওয়া দরকার ছিল কারণ নাইলোটিকা, ল্যাটা আর বান মাছ জলের উপরে তোলা বেশ কষ্টসাধ্য কাজ ছিল ।\n\nনাইলোটিকাগুলো দেখতে অনেকটা তেলাপিয়ার মতো । ঘোরেও তেলাপিয়া ঝাঁকের সাথে । কিন্তু, আকারে বৃহৎ । তাই মজবুত সুতোর দরকার, না হলে সুতো ছিঁড়ে পালিয়ে যাবে । ল্যাটা মাছ মানে টাকি মাছগুলো আকারে ছোট হলেও বড়শি বিঁধলে এরা অ্যায়সা টান মারে যে মজবুত সুতো না হলে ছিঁড়তে বাধ্য । আর সব শেষে বলি বান মাছের কথা । বান বা পুকুরের ঈল মাছ যাদের আরেকটা নাম হলো পাঁকাল, কারণ এরা পুকুরের পাঁকে থাকতে ভালোবাসে । এই মাছ ছোট্ট খাট্টো হলে কি হবে বড়শি গেলার পরে এদেরকে জলের উপরে তুলতে গেলে ঘাম ছুটে যায় । মনে হয় বড়শি দিয়ে হাতি তুলছি । এর কারণ হলো এদের শরীর জলের মধ্যে পাঁক দিয়ে দিয়ে অনেকটা screw র মতো আটকে থাকে ।\n\nবড় সাইজের এবং খুব শক্তপোক্ত বড়শি আর ছিপ ছিল রুই, কাতলা, মৃগেল, শোল, ভেটকি এসব শিকারের জন্য । টোপ হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হতো কেঁচো এবং চিংড়ি । তবে, এদের শিকার করা বেশ কঠিন কাজ ছিল । আমি জীবনে মাত্র দু'বার মাত্র ভেটকি ধরতে পেরেছি । ভেটকি হলো রাক্ষুসে মাছ, তবে গায়ে অমিত শক্তি । বেশ সহজেই বড়শি গেলে এরা, কিন্তু জলের ওপর তোলা বেশ কঠিন । এদের মুখের ভেতর এতো শক্ত যে বড়শি ঠিকমতো না আটকালে পিছলে বেরিয়ে আসে । এরা কেঁচো গেলে না । কাঁচা চিংড়ি হলো এদের টোপ ।\n\nশোল মাছ শিকার করা একদমই ইজি ছিল । এরা জলের উপরিভাগে ঘুরে বেড়াতো । মুখের কাছে কেঁচোর টোপ গাঁথা বড়শি ফেলা মাত্র টপ করে গিলে ফেলতো । ভীষণ রাক্ষুসে স্বভাব এদের, আর তেমনই পেটুক । তাই শোল শিকার করা খুবই ইজি ছিল । কঠিন ছিল রুই, কাতলা আর মৃগেল শিকার করা । এদেরকে বড়শি গেলানোটাই সব চাইতে কঠিন কাজ । বহুবার বড়শির কাছে ঘুরঘুর করবে, মাঝে মধ্যে ঠোঁকও মারবে, কিন্তু টোপ গিলবে না ।\n\nএদের শিকার করতে গেলে অসীম ধৈর্য্যের দরকার হয় । কাতলা একটু দ্রুত টোপ গেলে । কম বয়সী রুইও দ্রুত টোপ গেলে । কিন্তু, পাকা রুই, কাতলা এবং মৃগেল ঘন্টা ২-৩ ধরে অসীম ধৈর্য্যের পরীক্ষা নিয়ে তারপরে টোপ গেলে । ছোটবেলায় এত ধৈর্য্য আমার ছিল না । তাছাড়া এক টানা অত সময় পাবোই বা কোথায় ? তাই কাতলা আর মৃগেল জীবনেও ধরতে পারিনি । তবে কয়েকটা বাচ্চা রুই ধরতে পেরেছিলুম । সেটাই আমার বাল্য জীবনের একটা বিশাল সাকসেস ।",
