      "body": "En un segmento en continua ebullición, la brecha entre el bitcoin y la segunda mayor criptomoneda se ha reducido en sólo tres semanas a la mitad, en cerca de 130.000 millones de dólares.\n\nUna semana es suficiente entre las criptomonedas para registrar cambios insólitos incluso a lo largo de varias décadas en activos tradicionales de inversión. Esta volatilidad extrema provoca una constante revolución en el ránking de las mayores divisas digitales. Lo único invariable en esta clasificación, al menos hasta la fecha, es el reinado del bitcoin.\n\nSu hegemonía comienza a peligrar. En medio de esta extrema volatilidad, las últimas semanas han constatado el fervor de los inversores por la criptomoneda que está pulverizando todos los récords con sus subidas.\n\nEl ripple se ha confirmado como la divisa digital preferida por los inversores en la recta final de 2017 y en el inicio de 2018. Creado en 2012, su tecnología es utilizada en los sistemas de pago de varias de las principales entidades financieras del mundo.\n\nDe acuerdo con los datos recopilados por Reuters, durante el pasado ejercicio protagonizó la mayor subida de todas las criptomonedas. El rally alcanzó un porcentaje deslumbrante, un 35000%, lo que supone multiplicar casi por 30 la revalorización lograda en el mismo periodo por el bitcoin, próxima al 1200%.\n\nLa subida más vertical se ha concentrado en las tres últimas semanas, en medio de los incesantes rumores sobre un incorporación al mayor mercado de criptomonedas de EEUU, Coinbase. En este periodo su precio se ha disparado más de un 1300%, desde los 0,25 hasta los 3,51 dólares. El rally del ripple se ha producido además en pleno freno en la escalada del bitcoin. En contra de lo habitual a lo largo de 2017, la mayor criptomoneda acumula dos semanas con un balance prácticamente plano, en el entorno de los 14.000 dólares, y lejos de los récords de 20.000 dólares que llegó a rozar el pasado 17 de diciembre.\nSupera al ethereum y al bitcoin cash\n\nEsta escalada meteórica del ripple ha revolucionado el ránking de las mayores criptomonedas. El ethereum se había erigido en los últimos tiempos como la alternativa más habitual al bitcoin. Antes de que las divisas virtuales protagonizaran tantos titulares, los inversores habían catalogado al ethereum como 'el otro bitcoin'.\n\nLa incesante entrada de dinero en el ethereum disparó un 9200% su precio en el acumulado de 2017. Pero este porcentaje ha sido insuficiente para mantenerse como la segunda mayor criptomoneda.\n\nSu capitalización bursátil supera los 93.000 millones de dólares, unos 77.500 millones de euros. Hace sólo tres semanas su valor superaba los 60.000 millones de dólares. La incesante entrada de dinero en el ethereum disparó un 9200% su precio en el acumulado de 2017. Pero este porcentaje ha sido insuficiente para mantenerse como la segunda mayor criptomoneda.\n\nEl inicio de 2018 ha relegado al ethereum al tercer puesto en la clasificación de las mayores divisas digitales. Su lugar lo ocupa ahora el ripple. En tres semanas su capitalización se ha disparado desde los 20.000 millones de dólares hasta los actuales 140.000 millones.\n\nAdemás de romper la barrera de los 100.000 millones de dólares de capitalización y de superar al ethereum y al bitcoin cash, su rally ha reducido a marchas forzadas el diferencial que ostentaba el bitcoin frente al resto de criptomonedas. \nA mediados de diciembre, justo antes de alcanzar sus récords históricos al borde de los 20.000 dólares, el bitcoin rozaba la barrera de los 300.000 millones de dólares de capitalización, unos 250.000 millones de euros. Su mayor rival entonces, el ethereum, se quedaba 240.000 millones de dólares por debajo, al situarse en 60.000 millones de dólares.\n\nEl pinchazo que acumula el precio del bitcoin desde los máximos del 17 de diciembre ha desinflado su valor al entorno de los 250.000 millones de dólares, de forma que su ventaja respecto al ripple, afianzada ahora como la segunda mayor criptomoneda, se ha reducido a 110.000 millones de dólares.\n\nLas primeras sesiones de 2018 han mantenido un rumbo diferente en los precios del bitcoin y el ripple. The Pope thus wanted to impose the same schedule on the bells of the Churches of Rome, so that all of them would recite at the same time.\nSince January 24, 1904, the canyon is located on the top of the Janiculum Hill, just below the statue of Garibaldi and its guns can be heard, in the quietest days, up to the Esquilino district.\n\n\nSi mientras admiráis el magnífico panorama de Roma asomados al Mirador del Janículo, oís el estruendo de un disparo de cañón, por lo único que debéis preocuparos es por mirar qué hora marca vuestro reloj: ¡Son las doce del mediodía!\n\n \n\nDesde 1847 y por orden del Papa Pío IX, un cañón dispara salvas a las doce en punto del mediodía, cada día. El Papa quiso así imponer el mismo horario a las campanas de las Iglesias de Roma, para que todas ellas repicasen a la misma hora.\nDesde el 24 de enero de 1904 el cañón está situado en la cima de la colina del Janículo, justo bajo la estatua de Garibaldi y sus disparos llegan a oírse, en los días más silenciosos, hasta el distrito del Esquilino.",
