      "body": "![Mint header.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmTEGiXocZAiib4Et8htEbGVkuqUQqSE1LVBCKQdiBv5MB/Mint%20header.jpg)\n\nپودینہ سے متعلق ایک بڑی دلچسپ کہانی مشہور ہے کہ قدیم یونانی دیو مالائی شخصیت پرسی فون جو پلوٹو کی حاسد بیوی تھی نے ‘ایک خوبصورت کنیز منتھ کو ختم کرنا چاہا تو پلوٹو نے دخل اندازی کرتے ہوئے منتھ کو پودینہ یعنی منٹ میں تبدیل کر دیا جو اپنی خوشبو کے لحاظ سے بے مثال ہے دلچسپ بات ہے کہ خوشبودار پودینہ قدیم یونان اور رومن دور میں بطور تاج پہنا جاتا تھا۔\n\nپودینہ کو گھروں اور عبادت گاہوں کی زینت بنایا جاتا تاکہ تازہ اور خوشبودار ہوا آرپار ہو سکے ۔\nقدیم یہودی بھی اپنے سینے گاگ کے فرش پر پودینہ رکھا کرتے تھے ‘تاکہ ہر قدم پر پودینہ کی مہک معطر جاں بن سکے۔پودینہ میزبانی کا استعارہ ہے ‘قدیم یونانی اور رومن کھانے کی میز پر پودینہ رگڑ ا کرتے تھے ‘جس کا مطلب دل کی گہرائیوں سے مہمان کو خوش آمدید کہنا ہوتا تھا۔\n\n\nتاریخی ریکارڈ کے مطابق مشہور رومن نیچر لسٹ پلنی نے کہا تھا کہ ”پودینہ کی خوشبو ہماری روحوں کو تازہ کر دیتی ہے ۔“یہ ایک حقیقت ہے کہ پودینے کی خوشبو توانائی کی سطح میں اضافہ کرتی ہے۔\nقدیم یونان اور رومن پودینہ غسل کے پانی میں ڈال کر فرحت حاصل کیا کرتے تھے ایک آیور یدک روایت کے مطابق جب ہمارے جسم کی مخصوص توانائی کی طاقتیں دماغ اور نروس سسٹم کو کنٹرول میں لیتی ہیں ‘تو زہریلے اثرات پیدا ہوتے ہیں ۔\nایسے میں پودینے کے پتے مخصوص توانائی کو پورے جسم میں پھیلا دیتے ہیں ۔اس عمل سے نہ صرف فرحت حاصل ہوتی ہے بلکہ دماغ کھل جاتا ے اور دماغی اور جذباتی بھارتی پن اور ٹینشن کا خاتمہ ہوتا ہے اور ہم خود کو دوبارہ توانا محسوس کرتے ہیں ۔پودینہ روح اور جسم کو فرحاں وشاداں کرنے کے لیے بے مثال ہے ۔\nپودینہ کا جوس اس مقصد کے لیے بہترین ذریعہ ہے اور یہ اعصاب کو پر سکون رکھتا ہے ۔\nبہت سے حکماء کے نزدیک پودینہ دماغ اور جسم کو سکون دیتا ہے ‘جبکہ ماہرین کے نزدیک پودینہ میں موجود ضروری وٹامن ‘معدنیات اور تیلوں کی موجودگی اسے صدیوں سے شفائی خصوصیات پر مبنی پودا بنائے ہوئے ہے اور بہت سی بیماریوں کا علاج ہے ۔ایک حالیہ سائنٹفک سروے کے مطابق پودینہ میں موجود تیل میں اعلیٰ درجے کا وٹامن Aاور Cفلوونائیڈ ز اور مینتھول ‘فائبر ‘فولاد ‘تانبہ‘کیلشیم فولک ایسڈ اور اومیگا تھری پائے جاتے ہیں ۔\nاس کے علاوہ پودینے میں اسکوربک ایسڈ بھی موجود ہے اور پوٹاشیم اور مینگنیز بھی ‘یہ تمام عناصر بیماریوں کو دور بھگاتے ہیں ۔\nبحیرہ روم کے باشندے ایک کپ چائے میں پودینہ کی ایک ٹہنی ڈال کر اسے نظام ہضم کی خرابی میں استعمال کیا کرتے تھے ۔خاص طور پر مرغن غذا کے بعد پودینہ کی چائے پینا ایک روایت بن گیا تھا۔یہی روایت مراکش کے قدیم شہریوں کی بھی پودینہ کی چائے نظام انہضام کی کئی تکالیف کو دور کرتی ہے تحقیق کاروں کا یہ بھی کہنا ہے کہ پودینہ کے تیل میں موجود مینتھول نظام ہضم کی آنتوں کی دیواروں کو سکون بخشتی ہے اور غذا کو ہضم کرنے والی مائع کو متحرک کرتی ہے اس طرح خوراک صحتمند انداز میں ہضم ہو جاتی ہے آیورویدک ماہرین کا یہ بھی کہنا ہے کہ پودینہ کی گرم چائے کھانسی دور کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ سینے کی بلغم کا بھی صفایا کرتی ہے ۔\n\nپودینہ کی چائے نظام تنفس کی مختلف الرجیز کے خاتمے کے لیے بھی مفید ہے ۔ایک روایت کے مطابق پودینہ کی چٹنی جوڑوں کے درد کا خاتمہ کرتی ہے ۔اسے جوڑوں پر ملا جاتا ہے اور آدھے سر کے درد میں اسے کنپٹیوں اور پیشانی پر ملنا مفید رہتا ہے پودینہ کی چٹنی کے استعمال سے جوڑوں اور سر کے درد میں فوری اضافہ حاصل ہوتا ہے ۔ایک تازہ ترین ریسرچ میں ثابت کیا گیا ہے کہ چٹنی میں موجود تیل عضلات کو فوری سکون پہنچاتا ہے یوں درد کا خاتمہ ہو جاتا ہے ۔\nپودینہ کی چٹنی کھانے سے جلدی امراض مثلاً ایگز یما کا خاتمہ ہوتا ہے پودینہ میں موجود اینٹی بیکٹیریل عناصر جلدی امراض کو ختم کر دیتے ہیں ۔\nپودینہ ٹانسلز کا بھی بہترین علاج ہے ۔\nجب ٹانسلز کی شدید تکلیف واقع ہوتو پودینہ کے عرق کے حصول کے لیے پودینہ کے پتوں کو پانی میں اُبال کر اس پانی سے غرارے کرنے سے ٹانسلز کا حملہ کوسوں دور چلا جاتا ہے ۔\nجدید سائنسی ریسرچ سے ثابت ہوا ہے کہ ٹانسلز کی تکلیف میں پودینہ کے پتوں سے غرارے کرنے کے دوران مینتھول کے جو بخارات اُٹھتے ہیں ‘وہ ٹانسلز کی شدت کم کرتے ہیں ۔یہ عرق نظام تنفس کی بیماری کورائزہ میں بھی نہایت مفید ہیں ۔\nپودینہ اپنی گوناگوں خوبیوں کو بناء پر صدیوں سے انسانوں کو شفا بخش رہا ہے اب سرطان کے مریضوں کے علاج میں بھی پودینہ کی افادیت سامنے آئی ہے ۔جدید اور تازہ ترین سائنسی ریسرچ کے مطابق پودینہ کا پودا مختلف الا قسام ٹیو مر کی نشوونما پر بھی اثر انداز ہوتا ہے ۔![mint.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmc4bfcqtwkiQgcQxruWFAJ25yv2UKvy3zEDiyaSSHK4PM/mint.jpg)",
