titleEffective ICO page Social Proof elements that will earn investor’s trust
body

Any business needs to be perceived as credible and trustworthy so that a website visitor would be influenced and converted to a buyer, or in ICO case — contributor.Depending on your project’s industry, there are several ways how you can boost your credibility in your visitor’s eye.

Testimonials

In the early stages of any ICO project ,the first testimonials are like piggybacking — you will want to be aligned with third parties as big and as credible as possible. And what happens in the end — they practically lend you part of their credibility.Which is not a bad thing at all. So, getting the interest of some big companies who might want to use your end product or service and would admit that they just can not wait for your ICO to reach hard cap, would be perfect. The same goes with notable, industry popular individuals, or influencers — getting their opinion and quotes might cost you a lot, but it would for sure add a lot to your existing credibility.

Numbers

If there were two different cafes in front of you, one with many people in it, and one completely empty. Which would you choose to go to?In the same way, nobody wants to be the first one to invest and risk the chance of losing money.Thinking that way, showing how much has been invested so far, that way inviting your landing page visitor to join the e.g. 5000+ current contributors would make a huge difference. You can communicate your amount of contributors and contributions raised in a form of milestones. As a general rule of thumb, showing facts and figures in numbers works well for any commercial website, as long as the numbers are big enough, of course.

Added transparency

Transparency is another thing which any investor should be concerned about and pay attention to when visiting your website. We think it should go without saying for any ICO, but these things SHOULD BE disclosed:

Tokensale dates

Token distribution

Token allocation/use of funds

Roadmap (what has been done so far and what is to come)

Team members, advisors and their background (include their LinkedIn URLs when possible)

Numbers show the scope of the project.

Social media proof

Just like in the example of cafes, you also would be more intrigued to know more about a project that has thousands of followers on different social media channels. If your project has many followers, subscribers or shares of certain posts, why not to show it? There is a high chance that it would trigger the “bandwagon effect”.

Press mentions

Press/media coverage can add many credibility points to your ICO. Besides that, it usually takes a lot of patience, continuous communication and skills to get the attention of THE BIG MEDIA, so why not to show that you have accomplished that?Got a high rating on some of the top ICO listing sites, like ICOBench and TrackICO? Show that as well! Also, don’t forget to share on your social media how grateful you are for the mention.

Live AMAs with the community

A not less important way to earn credibility is to be personal and connect with your community. Your ICOs community needs to feel like there is a real team, real people behind the project, who care about their opinion and want to engage with them.Let your community members ask you questions about the project and answer them in a live Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions. Stream them live on Youtube, share on social media, but also show it on your landing page so that any new visitors can see that the people behind the project, first of all, are real, and secondly — know what they are doing.Besides everything mentioned above, there are some more ways that can be used to increase perceived trustworthiness and credibility:

Making the landing page look professional

Adding the Privacy Policy

inspiring/confident copywriting

Anything else you could think of that would increase the trust of your visitors when they look through your project’s website. It could be something specific to the industry which your project represents

BUT, if I want I can fake all or most of the things above..

If you are not sure that these effective ways of social proof mentioned might be enough, or you think that, realistically speaking, most of them could be easily faked — yes, that is true, but if you fake it, remember, that sooner or later you will be caught. Just think about it — if you, for example, would add fake partnerships with huge brands on your landing page, ANY visitor could easily contact those brands and ask them if the partnership is real. Then you would be in big trouble.

A recent example of how dangerous faking partnerships can become:

Coppay, a European fintech company that offers payment gateways for cryptocurrency paying customers, in a recent announcement claimed that Samsung will be using their service and are ready to offer their customers in the Baltic states all their products, smart-phones, TVs, tablets and others, for digital money.

This statement was proven to be wrong shortly after when Samsung found out about it and Samsung spokesperson explained that they do not have a partnership with Coppay. That lead to Coppay deleting their blog in which this bold announcement was written.

It is unknown how Samsung reacted to this afterwards, but we are quite sure that Coppay were in trouble and lost a lot of trust in the eyes of other third parties.

Now it is your time to implement those social proof tactics on your project’s page. And if already done, which ones gave you the best results?

We recommend to test these tactics. Only constantly testing various elements can lead you to the one best result, and when that happens — you will definitely see the results.

___________________________________________________________________

Follow us on our Telegram Channel.

titleNew fundraising standard for ICOs — DAICO?
body

In the last few years, the Crypto Industry has experienced a vast variety of ICO projects that came out with interesting concepts promising extraordinary results and MVP that would blow everyone’s minds. And a lot of us bought into their visions only to end up with useless tokens that have 20x-100x dropped in value since the ICO sale price. Recent market studies are showing that 80% of ICO fail miserably, only 9% of all ICOs get their tokens listed in exchanges and from those 9% only 10–15% have managed to create their MVP. It seems that a lot of companies try to solve challenging tasks that they are not competent in. The others don’t even try to solve anything and are creating ICO for money grab — straight scamming money out of naive investor wallets. Good example of such scams would be Bitconnect ponzi scheme & Bitair.io ICO.But now there is a new proposal that will change everything. To make investing space more trustable and ICO project owners more accountable in January of 2018 Vitalik Buterin (founder of Etherium) came up with entirely new crypto fundraising mechanism that has a potential to stop scammers and low quality ICOs from getting raised funds called DAICO [links].

What is DAICO and how is it different from ICO?

Let’s summarize main DAICO and ICO differences in 3 words: access to money. Let me explain.

ICO fundraising risks

In ICO fundraising event (token sale), once the soft-cap target is reached, all the gathered funds are released to ICO project owners/developers. That means that investors funds are frozen for undefined time and potential investment ROI is completely in the hands of project CEO competencies, developers abilities and trust that a project is actually not a scam.In the scenario where developers are not performing, project is not moving forward and the resources are being used irrationally, there is nothing that investor can do. The harsh truth is that ICO investors have no access to your invested money and if ICO tokens aren’t even listed on exchanges there is no way to even get a part of invested money back. But DAICO fundraising format is a countermeasure that reduces investor risks and gives investors a democratic group control over how DAICO funds are distributed and if they should close the smart contract and get their money out of the project.

How does DAICO reduce crypto investors risks?

DAICO is entirely new fundraising concept that proposes to use best parts of DAO and ICO worlds.

In this fundraising model, all funds to crypto project team are not released at once. To ensure that project is not ascam, developers actually have competencies to lead the project and give anopportunity for investors to cash out, there are 2 main smart contract mechanisms added to classical ICO model: 51% voting mechanism and TAP mechanism. What do these mechanisms do?

That means that every decision on increasing fund access to the team must be met with the majority vote from investors (51% vote). (Audits accessible fund amount for project basically.)

And the TAP mechanism defines how much funds can be accessible to the DAICO team. Investors are controlling TAP with votes.

If the project is not viable any longer, can’t execute milestones or investors simply want to cash out of the project, with majority vote they can vote to close the project. If 51% majority vote is reached then at this point taken smart contract will be destroyed and all token holders will be funded back all remaining funds proportionally to their token holdings.

So, as you see, from the investors point of view, DAICO reduces risk 10x fold. (But remember, this investing, nor fundraising format does not guarantee the success of the project — just makes it harder for SCAM projects to “steal” money.)

What to consider before doing DAICO?

There are multiple things that you should be aware of and factor in your decision-making process before you choose to do DAICO:

DAICO existence and token contract destruction is still vulnerable to 51% attack. Your competitors or third party “bad actor” (like big trader), can create an uncertainty from insight and potentially trigger the poll and and get the 51% of all the votes to shut down the project. (In this case, you can always redo DAICO, but it is just a pain in the….)

Many people just HODL tokens (as that usually is) and are not active participants in crypto project community. In such case, when let’s say 40% of all token holders are passive and don’t take part in decision making polls, the decision to get executed just need 31% of support from all token holders;

If DAICO project owners have high token holdings %, similar problem of vote manipulation in both directions become a more probable;

Note that it is still unclear what role in DAICO crypto exchanges play. Currently, when listing your token in the exchange you are asked to deposit huge token amounts. (These tokens are needed to secure trading demand.) In DACIO that gives exchanges huge voting power and influence over DAICO crypto project.

For the project founders, DAICO might be huge financial uncertainty. When scaling and solving new unplanned problems, there might be more resources necessary to manage project operations efficiently. So, in order to get these resources you would need to ask community to increase TAP (access to ETH). But there is no guarantee that you will get the extra money or get it on time.

The one of biggest challenges for project founders is to communicate in the transparent way details of operations to investors. Currently, there are no standards for evaluating if MVP delay because of other additional feature were implemented or finally getting intent of purchase from potential customer (not purchase itself) after some artificial self-sustained deadline (DAICO roadmap) is exceeded, are measurements of progress forward (towards success) or stagnation (movement towards failure). General psychology of event perception might dramatically impact project fund release.

So, as you see, there are still many things to consider before adapting DAICO model. But if there are so much road bumps in the way, is there any real future for such ICO alternative?

Will DAICO be the future of ICO fundraising?

From other perspective, the EU plans to increase ICO regulation and we suspect that in near future ICO will be forbidden — some other mechanism will be demanded. WIll it be DAICO? Most probably some kind of evolution of DAICO. Format with a bundle of smart contracts that together will provide advanced controls that will protect both sides of the “partnership”.

Should you be doing DAICO instead of ICO?

Currently, there already is one project called Abyss (https://www.theabyss.com/) that has implemented this new fundraising model. We can learn from their performance and mistakes. (This project had their DAICO a few months ago, but it is yet too soon to evaluate. We need to see how community self-manage complex decision making, to see if and how this stagnate or propel projects development.)Should you be doing DAICO? Unless you want to be a guinea pig and operate in uncertainty, we wouldn’t advise you to pick DAICO model over ICO, at least not at this point in time. In time this model will mature and it will be smarter to switch (We do see the switch happening).BUT if you are choosing to do ICO or are in one at the moment, be aware that in a few months to a year time period time we predict, that ICOs might be obligated to implement control mechanisms that give some kind of regulation to their project and is concise with EU, US regulations.

___________________________________________________________________

Follow us on our Telegram Channel.

titleMistakes to avoid during an ICO campaign
body

To do a recap and give a deeper insight for the topic covered last week in our Telegram Channel, here are the five most common mistakes made running an ICO campaign.

Promoting on Telegram channels

Even though it looks tempting, channels with tens of thousands of members all interested in ICOs, stay away from this service. In reality:

Most members are fake or not Investors

Channel engagement can be faked, even post views

ROI is low

Post about your project will get lost in the feed

Note: If you do decide to feature your project in such a group, be sure to use a tracking link in order to see the value it brings.

Airdrop campaign before you have an active community

Doing an Airdrop campaign to join your Telegram group works great, it can skyrocket your member count, especially if you know how to develop a bot to help people join. However, be mindful to the fact that these members only care about the free tokens, they won’t communicate in the group or check your announcement posts. So make sure you have an active community, otherwise a group with lots of members but no discussions will seem fake to real people or investors reviewing the project.Tip: Be sure to add a telegram bot that deletes all service messages like who joined the group

Setting the sale dates without any hype

Try to not share the dates of your token sale before you see any community growth or attention from investors. Otherwise the deadline will come sooner than later and it will lead to an unsuccessful sale or you will have to adjust the dates that will make your project seem less likely to succeed. In most cases you can even apply to services like listing sites with dates set to ‘TBD’.Alternatively, you can do a whitelist-only sale for you project, it can help you see how many people are actually interested in contributing to your project and even make it seem more exclusive if only whitelisted members can participate in the sale.

Being greedy with the Hard cap setup

Everyone wants to get as much funding as possible, so why would you restrict yourself? The short answer is - the bigger hard cap you have, the more important and well defined purpose your project needs to have.If you will flood the market with too many coins, but the demand will not be as high, the price will nosedive and no one wants that. Also a really high hard cap can scare away Institutional Investors, who could provide both funding and valuable project validation for general community.

Being generous with the bonus setup

You want to use big pre-sale contribution bonuses as a way of persuading people to invest in your project, well don’t. Large bonuses will only cause people to dump more tokens once they become tradable and in the end will do more harm than good.As a guideline, 25% bonus should be the limit to reward contributors. In the ideal case, can be avoidable. If you do feel your potential contributors need a little ‘push’, a simple 10% referral bonus can work quite well. Simply develop your platform in way that each user gets a unique referral link and provide them the option to earn 10% of their referrals contribution.

Interested in more?

Follow our Telegram channel for daily insights from our experience as ICO campaign managers.

titleHelpful tools for your ICO marketing
body

Just like many things in life, you can do ICO Marketing the hard way — doing tasks manually and spending much more time on it, whether it is by choice or simply because you don't know better, or — you can use some various tricks and tools that help you make your daily marketing journey much more productive. Here we will look at several tools that have helped us with our ICO marketing activities.

Mass mailing

Whether it is for a weekly newsletter or you just want to promote your Tokensale's special offer, an e-mail is a good way how to reach your subscribers and leads. We like to use mass mailing services for such activities.Generally most e-mail marketing solutions will offer you:

to import and organize e-mails lists

design HTML e-mail template

see statistics (open rate, clicks and more)

automate your e-mail marketing

You will not go wrong if you will choose:

✅ Getresponse — https://app.getresponse.com/
It is a paid tool — you will have to pay a montly fee. The amount will differ depending on which plan you will chose — plans mainly differ on the amount of e-mails which you want to store in your account . We find it simple to use and organize the e-mails depending on how far the leads have gotten in the funnel and then sending them specific e-mails.We used to be hooked on Mailchimp, but after the fairly recent Mailchimp ban on ICOs, we are no longer using it.

Influencers
As we already mentioned in our “How to measure the success of a Youtube channel” blog post, when working with Youtubers (and influencers in general) we have to be very careful not to fall for the fake ones.Luckily there are tools designed specifically to provide all the necessary statistics for us, so that we would be able to determine them.
Here are some tools that have helped us with it :

✅ Socialblade — a great tool which can provide a good amount of insight and analytics of influencers.E.g. how the number of Youtuber's subscribers and views amount has changed over timeJust look for patterns and see if you can find something “strange” in them.

✅ TwitterAudit — https://www.twitteraudit.com/

Straight forward lets you see what part of a specific Twitter account followers is fake and what is real.

✅ SparkToro — similar to TwitterAudit, but features also more specific statistics of each Twitter username — e.g. average likes per tweet. The amount of accounts you can check is limited on SparkTore — 25/per day.

Website tracking
This is more of a necessity than just a tool. We would be surprised if you don't have it already. But are you using it and tracking everything that you should track? It can make it easier to make decisions on where to spend money on, which can then lead to campaigns with a higher ROI.The whole website tracking topic could probably be something to speak about in a separate blog post, but for now we would like to stress mainly the importance of tracking the traffic sources.

As ICO Marketers, there are so many areas we need to focus on and sometimes spend our money on :

videos

Podcasts

blog posts on Medium and Steemit

articles and press releases

direct ads

and more

We need to know which of the exact efforts is paying off the most, which one is bringing the most traffic and contributions.Use:

✅ Google Analytics — Click on Aquisition →All Traffic → Source/MediumMaybe you just launched a new design for your project's website and want to know if the website visitors are actually clicking and scrolling where you want them to? So a video that has generated 1000 views, should have around 10 comments

Views to Subscribers - around 15–20% is the average amount of views a youtube channel gets from their subscribers

To give an example pay attention to the subscriber and views amount

So if a video has lots of views but no comments or if a channel has lots of subscribers but no views, most likely it is fake.

Tools to analyse a Youtube channel:

Are you already suspicious that your found Youtuber could be buying his/her subscribers, views or comments? titleCommunity Management for ICOs
body

Undoubtedly, the community of an ICO can tell a lot about the ICO itself. As ICO Marketers we should work on both, our online and offline communities, grow, support and maintain them, to fully bring awareness of our project. How to do that? Well it is not as simple as it might seem. Here today we will cover some tips and tricks on ICO Community Management.

Social media all the way

✅Know your audienceBefore even starting to think about your social media plan, you should understand who is your audience. First of all, ask yourself a question — who is your audience and who do you want your audience to be?The cryptocurrency world is still not very well known to the larger portion of the world and to those who have heard about cryptocurrency might still have a lot of confusions around it and misunderstandings.Remember that your audience will most likely be at least party split between the people who think that crypto is all the rage and people who can’t tell the difference between blockchain and bitcoin, especially if your ICO is a project which is not entirely technical. If that is true in your case, then it would be recommended that you create your social media content — all the visuals and text, so that they would speak to both audiences. That seems logical, right?✅Be consistentThe next tip is to be consistent. And that does not mean just constantly answering to your community’s questions and maintaining a 24/7 support (which is a MUST, by the way).As an ICO, your focus is to reach the hard cap within a certain deadline and of course you should adjust your social media plan according to it too.Since there are so many ICOs out there, you need to be aware that your audience might be interested in several ones at the same time and you might lose their interest if you are not constantly and on all platforms updating them with news and content.

! One contributor missing some important news from you might result in several lost new contributors. (Remember — investors tend to refer each other!) !

We once had a client who had not updated all their social media channels with the latest news for months. As a result, when we recommended them to do it, and they posted all their latest updates, even though a month later, we saw that some crypto experts had noticed the news and posted about them on their blogs, notifiying all their followers too. This just proves that we should never miss that one update posted on ALL channels. How to do it?There are several social media management tools/schedulers, where you can keep a track of all the content that you post and plan and schedule them ahead. We recommend : https://buffer.com/ or https://www.loomly.com/Another tip: consistency can also mean posting content at certain times of the day. Especially if you want to target people who are living in certain timezones. The above mentioned tools can offer exactly that.✅Track the resultsWhen you know what to post, how and when, it is time to track how you are doing. That means seeing how your posts are performing and how many people actually see them and click on the links. There are several ways how to do that:Google AnalyticsIf you want to see how many people went to your ICOs landing page by clicking on a link that you posted on one your social media accounts, you can see statistics in your Google Analytics. If you go to Acquisition — Source/Medium you can see how has each source performed.

Bit.ly URL shortenerYou can also see how many people click on links from each post seperetely. For that you will need to create an account on bit.ly — https://app.bitly.com.Just click on CREATE — BITLINK on the upper right corner, copy the shortened URL and use it instead of just whatever the link you wanted to post. After a while you should be able to see statistics of how many people clicked on that link from your post -

How to fake channel engagement

Your campaign has started slowly and you only have a few members talking in your telegram group and you need to make it look like an active group for potential investors and interest general public in joining, or maybe you have already taken all the advice below and posting daily on your social media, but your followers amount is not growing, so what to do?Simple: Fake it! We do not 100% recommend it, but that it the hidden truth and many ICOs don’t like to admit, that they are doing it.If your budget allowsThere are services available that offer to post daily questions about your project in your Telegram group. Here are some of the ones we were in contact with:https://www.telegrampromo.com/http://promobuzz.org/You can also just buy followers using offer from https://www.buy-telegram-members.com/ or similar ones. For other social channels there are sites like: https://www.ourfollower.com/buy-facebook-followers/ for Facebook followers and https://devumi.com/twitter-followers/ for Twitter followers. It is generally very cheap and you will get the result almost instantly by just pressing a few buttons.!Just be careful — it can be easily determined that your followers amount has increased very fast in a short time!If you have a tight budgetDo it yourself. Buy fake numbers using tools like https://www.dingtone.me/, create telegram accounts and chat amongst yourselves in your group. You can discuss various topics like latest crypto news, ask questions about the project, if your sale is live inquire about investing etc. Just remember to make it seem realistic and be quick to reply via the admin account. There is also another, quite shameful, but popular method amongst ICOs how to increase the engagement on social media — Bounty campaigns.Bounty campaigns are probably a topic to be covered more deeply in one of our future blog posts, so stay tuned.Do these things while continuously promoting your channel and soon your community will be growing.

Let me entertain you!

When you have gathered a community around your project, then the next step is (you guessed it!) — make them stay. Of course, keeping a consistency and posting at least once a day is one way how to keep their interest, BUT:It is important not to just talk to your community, answer their questions and simply be there for them, but also to provide them with several call to actions and to entertain them. It can be anything. Here are just some ideas:

➡️Contests

You can offer your ICOs Tokens or any other prizes for completing certain tasks. That way it would be a win-win situation. We recommend using gleam.io for competition management. You can also entertain your community with more creativity based contests. For example : banner contest; memes.. Anything like that. It would not just entertain them, but also be fun for your team and would let you understand the language of your community better.

➡️Lottery

Again, people like when they can win something for free. Offer a lottery to win something for your contributors.

➡️Invitations to private events

This helps also to build trust around the project, as your team would meet your future investors face to face. Then you can think about any kinds of formal and afterwards informal activities for them.➡️Creating some advantages for your existing communityBlockchain is all about decentralization. Let your existing community help you with the project; let them know that you await suggestions from them and they can help you to make even important decisions; in other words — make them feel involved. Then they will not leave you.We found out that following your community’s feedback and even using their quotes on social media made them feel appreciated. It is great if you come up with something totally different that none of the ICOs is doing yet.And one last suggestion from us — do not underestimate Community Management. A large and engaging community can be a very important way how to attract attention of the investors.Follow us on our Telegram Channel.

\n
! One contributor missing some important news from you might result in several lost new contributors. (Remember — investors tend to refer each other!) !
\n
\n
Bit.ly URL shortenerYou can also see how many people click on links from each post seperetely. For that you will need to create an account on bit.ly — https://app.bitly.com.Just click on CREATE — BITLINK on the upper right corner, copy the shortened URL and use it instead of just whatever the link you wanted to post. After a while you should be able to see statistics of how many people clicked on that link from your post -
\n
How to fake channel engagement
\n
\n
Let me entertain you!
\n
When you have gathered a community around your project, then the next step is (you guessed it!) — make them stay. Of course, keeping a consistency and posting at least once a day is one way how to keep their interest, BUT:It is important not to just talk to your community, answer their questions and simply be there for them, but also to provide them with several call to actions and to entertain them. It can be anything. Here are just some ideas:
\n
➡️Contests
\n
You can offer your ICOs Tokens or any other prizes for completing certain tasks. That way it would be a win-win situation. We recommend using gleam.io for competition management. You can also entertain your community with more creativity based contests. For example : banner contest; memes.. Anything like that. It would not just entertain them, but also be fun for your team and would let you understand the language of your community better.
\n
➡️Lottery
\n
Again, people like when they can win something for free. Offer a lottery to win something for your contributors.
\n
➡️Invitations to private events
\n
\n
",

titleThe 5 Things We Learned Running ICO Campaigns
body

We have been working in the eventful world of ICOs for over a year, so as promised in our Telegram Channel here are some insightful truths and tips to help you run a successful campaign.

1. Scammers are everywhere

Let’s start with something fun. The first thing we learned is that there are numerous ways you can get scammed, the most popular being adopting the identity of an influencer. Some were basic but others were quite creative, even managing to fake any email address by using tools like Emkei. To give an example, here is the email we got after being contacted in telegram and asking the impersonator to validate from the real email address:

Address is the same as listed in the Suppoman’s Youtube channel

Tips on how to avoid being scammed:

Most likely you won’t be reached out to by a popular source, so if you receive an offer from a youtuber with a lot of followers it should be an instant red flag.

Message the official channel asking for confirmation about the offer. By notifying them of a scammer using their name you might even build a relationship.

Check the email source and look for ‘received from’ section:

2. You should have been a crypto youtuber

Not only has the ICO boom allowed startups to quickly get a capital for their business, but also allowed people making youtube videos related to cryptocurrencies, blockchain, ICOs earn a staggering amount of money. To give a taste of what fees crypto youtubers are able to ask due to companies willing to pay anything for promotion of their project, here is an offer we received from youtuber CryptoChemist:

Since the token value was 0.10 USD, he could have earned the equivalent of 1'000'000 USD. Not a bad haul for one video, we even thought about making a youtube channel of our own. However, Youtube is a good investment for gaining traction for your company, just try to find the perfect balance between what your marketing budget allows you to spend and if the fee for the video is acceptable based on relevant content and channel engagement. How to measure the success of a Youtube channel or video? Pay attention to these ratios:

Views to Subscribers - around 15-20% is the average amount of views a youtube channel gets from their subscribers. If the ratio is less than that, the subscribers are most likely fake

Comments to Views - the average ratio of comments:views is about 0.5-1%, so if the video has a lot of views but no comments, the views are most likely fake

3. What works - Influencers

Similar to other industries, using Influencer Marketing works very well for ICOs. It is a fast way to improve your project credibility and gain you instant contributors. There are various types of influencers:ICO experts:These are experienced researchers who review ICOs and share the results with their community. Most of them are refusing payment for their work, so if your ICO gets a high rating from them or even a commitment to invest, it will gain you both followers and contributors without spending anything.Visit CryptoDiffer for the list of top ICO experts.Blockchain Influencers:The so called ‘celebrities’ of the blockchain industry. Getting these people to sign on your project as an advisor would gain you access to their large amount of followers and get free mentions in news, as they get daily coverage of their activities.Check CryptoWeekly 2018 edition of the top 100 most influential people.Having worked on several projects, we managed to build close relationships with some of the influencers and they helped us to a successful campaign.

4. Quality over Quantity

Don’t waste your time and money on low-quality sources on the off chance it will gain your project recognition. To give an example, listing sites. We spent days both building a database and applying our projects to get listed. And from 250+ sites any noteworthy traffic was coming from only 5–6 of them.Tips on how to evaluate a website:

Check the page itself, if it looks like a low-effort website or it is hard to use, most likely other people won’t be using it either.

Using tools like Similarweb, check the engagement report for the site, focus on stats like total visits, bounce rate, pages per visit.

Some our favorite:

Tokenmarket

ICODrops

ICOBench

The same logic should apply to youtubers. Even though Youtube is one the best ways to get traffic to your website, don’t waste valuable resources on bad channels just to have a video about your project. Here are the ones that worked well and didn’t cost a fortune:

CryptoLark

Bitcoin In Arabic

AltcoinBuzz

5. Community Management is a must

Work on it early and often. Here are just some of the benefits your project can have from a real community:✅ Give valuable feedback
✅ Attract Investors
✅ Organic and word of mouth growth
✅ Run a successful campaign without whales
✅ Stay faithful during market crisis or mistakesTips on how to build a strong community:

Be active, quick responses from the team will help you build trust and respect

Share regular project updates, if possible once per day

Rewards competitions, e.g. we had meme contest in one of our projects
