The game is for 48, 24, 12 or 6 hours to run the maximum number of rounds of 663m.  Location of the race is at the Xin Sheng Park in Taipei, actually it is quite centrally located with close proxmity to the Zhong Shan Primary School Subway.  A bus also serve to the park and back to Taipei main station making it quite a convenient way to access here.  But even if all else fail, the taxi fare in Taipei is not that bad, and from downtown to the park is only like NT150.  \n![IMG_3053.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmWwgwNEScmHDGNSYF1maE9fttm2LUerfdPZ8TG7Aea8Ax/IMG_3053.JPG)\n\nRegistration is via the Taiwan Ultra Marathon Association.  \nWebsite: http://www.ctau.org.tw/en/\nThe association is for long distance runners covering distances above hundreds, and they have also different levels of runs for the lesser distance runners.  For this race, I could see that most of the people are returners having done it the last year and challenging it again this year.  Joining the 12 hour Day group, there were only 92 participants, females wise is only 11 ! I guess not many people want to do loops, especially for the ladies.  \n\nThere were many ekiden groups joining the 6 hours, ekiden is like a relay where the runners run for a certain amount of time, and some one in the team takes over.  Many university and educational institutions went for this relay.  6 hour group was the most popular one among all. There is an inner loop and outer loop. Being near to the Song shan airport, you can see and hear airplanes taking off and touching down all the time.  Some how my initial worry of getting bored or losing my mental strength to continue running was proven to be just a fear.  After a few rounds, I guess crossing the timing line and seeing your name and position, distance covered popping up on the electronic scoreboard, took away my mind to keep clocking the rounds.   The organiser prepared two food and drinks stops which are well replenished with isotonic, water , hot tea and also snacks like real fruits and biscuits.  One of them served hot food mainly for the 12 h, 24 h, and 48 h runners. You can even rest for sometime before making more rounds.  I made a mistake of resting too much , ending up, I was not able to finish my targeted 100km.  I did a 87km around 127 loops.  One thing good about this race is that there were so many photographs around.       "body": "Lisong Hot Spring is located in Taitung County in Taiwan.  Taitung is less travelled than capital city of Taipei, making it one of the more naturally preserved places in Taiwan.  The population there is also smaller.  This trip to Taitung was to visit the legendary Lisong Hot Spring which was situated on the South Eastern Expressway of Taiwan. During winter is actually the best time to go as the water level is lower, making it easier for river crossing.  But it also means weather will be colder and you will need to plan for the stuffs to bring.\n\nThis time I stayed with the Siama Bed and Breakfast.  This home run place is very comfortable and they offers tours to all the places around this region. It was from here I made it to the starting point to the Hot Spring.  About a 30 min drive from Chi Shang Train Station, you will reach the Siama bed and breakfast.  Nestled in the quiet part of the mountainous village of Siama.       "body": "This race is held in Taipei, Yang Ming Shan by the Chinese Taipei Association of Ultrarunners, the race categories are set as 5K, 10K, 20K and 42.195K.  There are also longer ultra races 50km and 66km.  The one I took part is full marathon of 42.195km, to speak the truth this is more like a hilly road race than a trail.\n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n\nBib and commemorative wind breaker\nThe registration starts online and can be found in the official website, there is also early bird price for the registration. For overseas runners, you can collect the bib, time chip and souvenir wind breaker at the counter on the race day itself.  To speak the truth, I kind of like this boutique race, there are not too many people crowding to disturb as they limit the amount of people that can sign up for the race.\n\nBe sure that you have secured your time chip on the shoes as this is the only evidence that you ran this race.\n\nRace Route\n\n\nThe run bag for all taiwanese races\n\nour group from Singapore\nStarting from Zhi Shan Secondary school's special hall, the start and end point are all inside a building, this is good for a cold winter's day.  For the FM, we flag off at 6am, then it is all the way up to the Yang Ming Shan area.  The weather is cold during this period.  Most runners wore the wind breaker for the run, making it very useful for all.  Although the organiser informed us to bring our own cups for water breaks, there were some paper cups available.  The organiser is also very kind to have hot ginger tea towards the end of the race.  The water points are well equipped with good food too. This is really helpful for those who are scared of cold weather.\n\nThere were road marshallers along the way but towards the mountain roads, the bicycles, other vehicles are allowed so you have to be careful yourself especially at the bends to prevent getting into accidents.\n\nFor the FM, there was only one turning point, and after that it is the same route back to the Zhishan Secondary School.\n\nFinishing\n\n\nHonoured to get in first\nI did not take much pictures for this race because I was trying to go for a good timing, unfortunately not taking into consideration of the hills and slopes.  I did not end with the timing that I had expected to achieve, however, I am glad that I managed to finish it at least in a decent timing.  The ending was in the hall itself.  There were noodle soup for finishers for FM and above, others get a box of bread which I feel is decent enough.  There were also hydration, water and some isotonic.  Every finisher will get to pose with the finishing banner and the time clock.  There is also an environmentally friendly wooden made finisher medal for all.  I was lucky to come in as the first in the women's category, something which I did not expect.  Maybe there were not that many women to begin with.\n\nWas actually quite surprised to see many pictures being posted for free for runners, this is really a perks for the activity.\n\nConclusion\n\n\nYou get finishing medal and a cert with timing\n\nGet to pose with banner\nTaiwan is a good choice for races in the sense that the organisation is fairly well planned.  By far my experience here had always been good and organisers always try to put themselves into the shoes of the runners and rewards are also generous.   Will be looking forward to more races in Taiwan.",

The Mae Ram Phueng Beach is a long flat beach that offers panoramic views, while the Laem Mae Phim beach has smaller waves and quiet beach side restaurants.\n\nIf you do not enjoy boisterous noisy touristy places like Pat Pong of Phuket or Kuta of Bali, then this place is totally suitable for you.  There are not many foreigners and the beaches are long and quiet but yet very scenic.\n\n \nFrom Bangkok you can take the mini van from Ekkamai Station, it costs about 160 Baht for a 3 hours ride to Rayong.  From the terminal station in Rayong, you still need to hire a taxi to the Mae Ram Pheung Beach.  Most of the runners are staying around this area as it is the nearest to the start point, Rayong Aquarium.\nRayong Marathon\n\n\nRayong prepared to clinch a good timing.  The course is flat and breezy, starting at 3:30 am in the morning means that you will hardly catch the sun.  Mostly along the beach, the course is very good to point itself, the Rayong Aquarium is the main highlight of the event.  Race pack was collected in a set up tentage over there and there were many vendors around selling sporting wear and goods.  The race pack is simple, just Tee shirt, Bib.  The bib has no time chips so meaning it is really based on honesty and trust of the sportsmen to not cheat along the way.\n\nThe organisers also place a lot of food stalls around the race village , and the best part is that these were actually for the runners when they finish their runs in the morning.  Something which does not happen in Singapore as we only have bananas.\n\nThe weather in Rayong gets really hot in the day, but the night is always cool and breezy.\n\nRace Course\n\n\nStart and End line\n\nRace preparations\nAll the race courses of the race starts and ends at the Aquarium itself.  There were 2 U Turns and that's it, no ups and downs, no hilly roads or challenging courses.  I totally enjoy this race, but I guess it is the night time that caused me to feel tired and sleepy at times.  Keeping a steady pace, I managed to shake off a bit of crowd, there were not many participants to begin with, so it is really a very happy and fulfilling run.\n\nAlong the way there were hydration points as stipulated on the hydration map.  Towards the end, there were stations with water melon and pine apples to quench your thirst too.  Red bull in bottles are also available.  The medical teams are very on the ball, they were patrolling up and down the route so it is really quite safe for the runners.  Muscle runs for runners were also available in spray form.\n\nI must say this race is really one of the most enjoyable if not for the very early first 10 females who comes in within the stipulated time for each distances,  2,000baht reward will be given, and the best part is that every age category, there are 5 places for fastest runners to get their trophy.\n\nThere are shuttle buses ferrying runners to and fro the carpark to the finish line area.  The carpark is actually about 1km away, this is to prevent congestion in the small narrow road towards the aquarium.\n\nRayong marathon is very memorable for me because of the good course.  I was able to maintain my bare speed, although this is not my fastest marathon done, it was definitely Many of our recycled waste still end up being treated as normal trash and defeats the purpose.  \nThe RecycleToCoin project will allow partners like the Plastic Disclosure Project ( PDP ), families and companies around the world to calculate and eventually off set their plastic footprint.  \nBCDC will only support projects with proven track records that has been successful in tackling plastic pollution problems.  \nFundings will be recorded on the blockchain, meaning that all stakeholders will have a transparent and clear idea of how the project is progressing.  \n\nThe project will encourage every stakeholders to make change by disposing plastic which are readily recyclable.  Projects will also tackle on the field of reducing plastic pollution and preventing plastic material from being end up as landfill materials or returned to the environment.  The plastic materials will be used to be recycled into proper consumer products or usable plastic materials.  Based on CNBC's latest study, the world has made more than 9 billion tons of plastic since 1950s and till now only 9% of these plastics are being properly recycled.  \n\nPlastic pollution is also affecting our oceans and causing more damages to the sea environment and the marine life.  Based on the ocean legacy foundation.  2 billion people within areas around 30 miles to the ocean, 100 million metric tons of coastal plastic waste.
